“Where is your madam?” the middle man asked the house helper.
“She is in her room, Mr. Gray. She’s been curling in her bed since she came back home.” She answered.
“Did she drink her medicine?”
“No sir, we had a ha-rd time approaching her since she never wanted to see anyone.”
“Okay. thank you.” Then he started to walk up the stairs. He knocked once, twice – but no one answered. He took the key and inse-rted it to the door. He opened it slowly. The room was dim. He found the woman beside the bed curling-embr@cing her feet as she looked outside but her thoughts are from afar.
“Sherry?” the man didn’t receive any response. He walked towards her and sat beside her.
“Hey Sherry, is anything wrong?” he asked once again. The woman tears up.
“I saw someone today.” she said despicably.
“Ethan?”
“No, A woman.”
“And?”
“I don’t know. She looks familiar. My heart itched a bit. I don’t know why but there’s something about her.”
“Maybe you only pity her.”
“No! I felt like I knew her but I cannot remember! My head hurts!” she cried. She held her head for-cefully.
“Don’t for-ce yourself! It’s not good for your health, you know that!” The man embr@ced her ti-ght. She sobs dismally. The man reached a medicine box and a glas-s of water.
“You should not forget to drink your medicine.” He was trying to shove it to her mouth but Sherry was trying to avoid it.
“I don’t want to drink that anymore! I am not sick Silver!” she yelled.
“What are you saying Sherry? You heard the doctor. You nee-d to take every day.” He was trying to get her drink the medicine.
“No! I don’t have a problem with my br@in Silver. I tried consulting a different doctor and I am certain that I am not suffering from any br@in problem!” she was aggravated.
“What did you say? You consulted a different doctor?”
“Yes! I di —”.
Sherry heard a loud crash! Broken glas-ses are everywhere. He’s mad! Very mad. Sherry shivered in fear at the sight of the man in front of him.
“Are you doubting me, Sherry?” he has a murderous tone.
“N-No! Of course no! I’m just … I’m tired taking this medicine. I feel like I’ve been forgetting a lot of things whenever I take that.” she was trying to explain.
“So you are doubting me!” he gripped her hand ti-ghtly. She’s hurting.
“I-I’m sorry! I- I won’t doubt you ever again. I’ll take that medicine religiously from now on.”
“Good!” he released her arm. “Now drink this.” He took another medicine from the box and shove it to her mouth. she took it for-cefully.
“I’ll just get some water.” He calmed down as he exited the room.
Sherry took a piece of napkin and spit out the medicine that Silver shove into her mouth. she placed it on the pocket of her jacket. She gazed towards the closed door.
“I am clear that I don’t have any problem with my health.” She scoffed.
She decided not to take the medicine at all. She just nee-d to act as if she is swallowing it. She’s been taking the medicine for God knows how long but she often forgets a lot of things. She tried not consuming it for a week, amazingly, there are tidbits of memories coming back to her but everything is blurry. However, Silver notice it so he tried to monitor her medicine time. but this time she wants to take the risk. She wants to know her past. She wants to remember everything. There’s seems to have something in her past that she nee-ds to remember. What could that be? She nee-ds to find out but she has to be careful.
He was looking at the article that he wrote.
“Boy! This will make me famous!” the reporter exclaimed while looking at the pictures on his monitor. He’s been following that woman for a week now. he wanted to write a remarkable story, and lucky for him, he did!
“Are you sure that you’re going to publish that? We are talking about the Williams!” His friend was afraid for their careers.
“It doesn’t matter if she is a Williams. I just know that this will make us famous.” He grinned evilly.
“Just don’t tell me that I didn’t warn you.”
“Don’t worry about that. We’re already on the new era where social media is more advance and more powerful.” the reporter continued. He was not just planning to rele-ase it on the newspaper but also he was planning to sell it on every business magazine. Time magazine might even send him a contract for his findings. And if all else fail, he will also upload it on the internet.
“But they have connections at the entertainment industry. It won’t be long for them to find out about that article and who wrote it” His friend was trying to persuade him.
“Charlie, we shouldn’t have accepted our jobs as news anchors if we are afraid to rele-ase true to life stories, if we can’t even provide a good story for our avid readers! If others are afraid at these distinguished powerful people, then I am not. I don’t want to be controlled anymore!” he is firmed.
“But Jess, we’re not just talking about you but the whole company as well!” Charlie yelled.
“Charlie Trust me. Our dear friend wouldn’t let that happen.” Charlie raised a brow. Jess is very confident. Who is that friend that he is talking about? Is it one of the Williams’ enemies? Possible!
Charlie didn’t speak a word. He trusts his partner. They’ve been crossing bridges together for how many years now. they’ve been tried for how many times now but it was God’s grace that they are still on their jobs, alive and kicking despites the death threats that they’ve been receiving over the years. He stared at Jess who glued himself on the monitor. Then he shifted his gaze on the screen. He read the article silently.

“Hi! Did you say you want to give me something?” Lisa said to Kian when she met him outside the building. Kian was leaning on his red ford car, his hands on his pocket as he stared at the woman in front of him.
“Do you have a problem about my face?” Lisa asked.
“No. I was just mesmerized by your beauty.” Kian smiled.
“You really know how to deal with women, huh.” She grinned.
“I am telling the truth!”
“So what was that thing that you want to give me?”
“It’s not a thing.” He opened the pas-senger door as she signaled her to get in.
“What do you mean?”
“Get in!”
“Were will you take me?”
“That’s a surprise!” Lisa is hesitating. If her instinct is right, Kian seems like he is inviting her into a date. Maybe a movie night or a dinner date. It’s not that she doesn’t like it but she doesn’t want to give false hope to him. he seems like a good person—a friend. But she doesn’t fully trust him yet.
“Are you perhaps afraid to go with me? Don’t worry I won’t hurt you.” He promised.
“It’s not that. I- I just nee-d to be at home early today. I thought you will only give me something so I said yes.” She lied. She’s definitely anxious to go with him. Caleb’s words are still on her head.
“Don’t you trust me?”
“Yeah, right!” her thoughts want to speak up but she held it in. she just smiled then she went inside the car. Why not give him a chance? Caleb might be wrong about him. Kian grinned as he closed the door then headed to the driver seat. Kian drove off.
Unknown to them, someone was following them secretly.
For the first time, he came down to the kitchen, but his aura is emitting gloominess inside the whole house.
Archedeus stared at Rio as he took a glas-s of hot water. He reached his Jasmine tea and pour an amount onto the hot water. He sat beside him.
“Do you want something to eat?” Archie inquired. Rio shook his head weakly.
“Are you planning to take your life by starving yourself?” Archie didn’t get a response. He riled up.
“Don’t you think you’re becoming elusive this past days? Your daughter even visited you just for nothing! That woman, is she more important than your present life? She was your past! Dead or alive, it has nothing to do with you!”.
Rio punches the table. Archie paused in shock. The household helpers stepped back. He is fuming with anger but he didn’t speak a word. His face declares it all.
Archie watched him as he walks towards the stairs to his room. Did he loose his mind because of that woman?
“Rio,” Archie called out. Rio paused.
“The annual symposium would be tomorrow night. if you still care about your daughter, at least fix yourself and attend that event.” He continued.
“If you still care about her, then prepare yourself. Go on behalf of me.” Rio didn’t even face him.
“Rio.” Archie looked at his retreating figure as he whispered his name, “Who knows if you will also see that woman there?” he shouted, Rio paused for a bit then he went inside his room not caring about Archie’s words.
He finished editing his article. He looked at it with pride.
“Hello?” Jess, the reporter for the WIND SAIL Newspaper answered his phone when it resonated.
“Jess, about the article that you sent. Can you send us more pictures of it? Also the video, we nee-d it.” The woman on the other phone ordered.
Jess chuckled, “Sandra, you know that nothing is free right?”
“Just name the price. You’ll see it on your account as soon as tomorrow.” She stated.
“I’ll send you the things that you’re asking as soon as I received an email confirmation of your payment. You should know that you are not just the company eyeing for my discoveries, right?”
The woman exhaled irritatingly, “You are really a shameless bastard huh!”
“All for the gold.” He chuckled.
Jess sent a tidbit of his article to almost every newspaper and magazine company. Even the entertainment industry wanted the full coverage so they are willing to pay no matter how much the amount. The heading itself is captivating. It will definitely become the talk of the town.
The Saphiro Williams empire were one of the most powerful family of all time. They had some issues in the past but everything pas-sed away like a wind. It was all cliché. But this one will absolutely go big! It’s a new cu-p of tea to the readers and viewers. Ethan’s wife kept a low-profile and had been issued with a lot of things like infidelity and infertility in the past, but who would even think that this innocent looking woman would be able to beat thu-gs and even armed men all at once!
*** At the Williams’ residence, Aisha cooked a hearty dinner for the whole family. For the past few days, it was rare to have the complete family face each other during meal time. they decided to have a barbeque party at the kitchen garden. They invited Larry, Yohann, and Master Omni to join them. They look so happy together as foods, music and merriments engulf the kitchen garden.
“Where is Lisa?” Ethan asked Aisha.
“Oh, She’ll be home late. She’s with Kian.” She smiled.
“Kian? Your old workmate before?” he raised his brow line. He definitely remembers that night.
“You know him? I can’t remember a time I introduce you to him.” she’s trying to recall an event, suddenly she laughed. “Oh, how could you forget him? You hauled over the coals before because of him.” she was laughing ha-rd.
Ethan went silent all of a sudden. His face was shadowed with frustration. Aisha was not stupid not to catch that.
“Just kidding!” she chuckled as she embr@ced him sweetly. She looks at him in the eyes pleadingly, “Please don’t get mad my love. It doesn’t suit you at all.” She winked at him.
“You made me mad. You must compensate me.”
“What do you want?”
“This —” Ethan captured her li-ps, she delightedly received his advances as they became lost in the moment.
“Ahem Ahem! You should have not invited us if you’ll flaunt your sweetness here!” Master Omni interrupted.
“Sorry grandpa!” the two couple chuckled shamelessly.
Ethan’s ire towards her subsided. He can’t be furious at her for a long time. he doesn’t un-derstand why Aisha kept the truth to him but he decided to wait patiently for her to confess. She might have a good reason of doing it so Ethan decided to shower all the love he has for her instead.
Unknown to Ethan, Aisha decided to savor the remaining time she has with them. Tomorrow will be the annual symposium. She’s been preparing for it the whole time. She is confident that whatever plan the Hertiz’ has for Ethan will not prevail.
Unfortunately, Aisha didn’t know that while she is enjoying the night, a great scandal was prepared for her tomorrow. Will she be able to overcome it? will she be able to keep pretending when the great scandal blows her off? Will her secrets be revealed?
