EPISODE 41

Demetrius wants to know what happened to her fifteen years ago. And he wants to know badly why is she with that murderer!

“What will you do if it was her? do you still hope to be with her?” She asked but Rio didn’t answer. He doesn’t even know why.

“Dad, let go! it’s been how many years now!” she continued. When Aisha didn’t hear any words from him, she stood up and headed to the door. She feels like yelling at Rio. But she was just an adoptive, stubborn child. She can’t possibly dictate to that old man.

She glanced at him again before she totally got out of the room. why does she feel like a loser? Isn’t she enough for Rio? Does he still nee-d that woman? why is she getting angry at that woman who left her father and replaced him for some other guy? she was annoyed. Rio doesn’t deserve that woman. not at all! She decided to find that woman and make sure they won’t cross paths someday. Cross finger!

“How did it go?” Archie asked Aisha when he saw her walking down the stairs. She is in de-ep thought.

“Uncle, do you really think that woman is alive?” she was in de-ep thought.

“I don’t know what to believe in dear. But if he said that he saw her then probably he might be right. He won’t be acting like this if it was just an imagination.” Archie explained. Aisha curled her fist into a ball. She hates seeing Rio that way. She just simply hates it. She firmly believed that Rio was a good man — No! he is a great man. That should be the right word.

“Uncle, what was that woman’s name?” she spoke with seriousness.

“Cherry Ann. Cherry Ann Lee.”

“I’ll come again some other day uncle. I just nee-d to finish my work.” Aisha walked out the house. Archie is not dumb at all. He knew exactly what she meant by that. He trained her and watch her grew up so he knew her very well. He is positive that Aisha will find for that woman no matter what.

Aisha drove back to the office. She decided to go back. She might use her office to search the internet for that woman’s information.

On her way to the parking lot, she sp-otted a familiar face. Angel! Her nose seemed to breath some lava in her anger. Damn that woman! Aisha parked her car opposite Angel’s car then she got off. She met her seductive eyes. Angel Scoffed.

“I don’t know what’s wrong with your br@in woman. but I think you nee-d a psychiatric help.” Aisha intended to insult her.

“And I can see that you’re still alive.” Angel smi-rked sarcastically. She’s about to pas-s throu-ghher but Aisha held her arm ti-ghtly.

“Hey! You better get your feet out from this building if you don’t want things to get ugly. Cause I’m telling you, you don’t have a place in here anymore!” she glared at the woman wobbling in pain.
______

“Damnit! Those good for nothing people!” The mysterious guy punched his curled fist onto the glas-s table. It’s good that it didn’t break.

“But we might be able to persuade them, again.” Robert insisted.

“No we can’t! they already broke their alliance with us and choose the Williams instead!” the mysterious guy was aggravated.

“But who persuade them? Ethan doesn’t even have the slightest idea about our plans.” Robert was curious.

“Someone is working behind my back. I will definitely destroy whoever ruins my plans!” he promised.

“Would that mean that our plans for the annual symposium will be forfeited?” Robert asked.

“No! I am going to make them sign the petition by hook or by crook!”

“Why don’t you just leave that to me.” They heard a woman’s voice, “I will try to convince the others.” She smiled slyly like a fox.

“What’s on your mind?” The guy asked.

“I’ll just talk to them. And also I’ll be seeing Ethan Williams today.”

“I’ll leave it to you then.” The mysterious man grinned widely. He has strong belief for the woman in front of him. She would be able to handle those people as well as Ethan. Well, he’ll let her play with them for the time being. She’ll do her job better.
________

She tried to remove her arm in her grip.

Angel felt Aisha’s nails being buried in her skin.

“Let me go!” Angel demanded.

“Don’t test my patience Angel. Do you know I could file haras-sment and attempted murder against you?”

“I didn’t do anything to you, you freak!” She for-cedly removed her arms in Aisha’s grip.

“Don’t you dare lie to me! sending some dummies to harm me? Do you really think it will break me? Then you’re wrong. so if I were you, I better get my as-s out of here before I ripped that face thickened by make-up!”

“Oh that, well go ahead. File a complaint against me. But do you think they will believe a harmless woman? I wonder how you were able to beat them yourself? Don’t you think it’s a little bit off to know that one woman was able to handle ten big men? Cause I can’t.” She dared Aisha.

“Are you trying to get on my nerves?”

“No. I’m trying to get the real you.” Angel smi-rked.

“Be careful for what you wish for lady. Don’t try me.” Her tone was threatening enough for Angel to step backwards. Damn! This is not the old Stacy that she knew..

“I will.” Angel faked a smile then turned her back as she walked towards her car. She clearly can’t beat the woman in front of her. She looked like an innocent sheep outside but she is a wild lion in the inside. The fudge! Why is she afraid of her all of a sudden? she’s just a mere woman! well, she’ll just get her one day.

As soon as Angel hurled off, Aisha dialed hunter’s number.

“Send me all her information within the day, please. Do a background check as well.” After talking to Hunter, she went directly to her office.

“I thought you won’t be coming back. What happened?” Caleb asked as soon as Aisha came in.

“It useless to talk to dad right now. he’s not being himself as for now.” she heaved a heavy sigh. Caleb and Lisa stared at her intently. She looked so down.

Aisha headed to the empty couch and laid her tired body. Why does she feel tired when she didn’t even do anything today? she was caressing her temples when Caleb went near her. He tou-ched her head then started mas-saging it. Aisha felt a bit of relief.

“Thank you Caleb. You really know how to make me feel good.” She smiled.

“Of course. I am your best friend after all.” Caleb tried to speak comforting words. Lisa gazed at them. She smiled within her. They perfectly un-derstand each other. They look good together as well. Why didn’t they end up together? She was lost in her own thoughts while looking at them warmly.

“Are you okay Lisa?” Aisha asked her. she caught her looking at them when she’s about to turn sideways.

“Ehm yes. I am just wondering though.”

“Wondering what?” Caleb also look at Lisa.

“You both un-derstand each other without a glitch. Also you look good together. Why didn’t you end up together?”

Caleb laugh so ha-rd that Aisha spa-nk his head.

“What was that for?” he paused.

“You’re too noisy! You’re about to damage my eardrum!” Caleb pouted upon hearing her. After a while, Aisha sat up straight.

“Maybe because we’re just meant to be friends after all. Caleb and I grew up together in an environment that you won’t ever wish to live in. He became my brother. My anchor.” She smiled at Caleb, “he is a good person and I have to admit that he is also good- looking, but I will never have wanted to spend the rest of my life with a person like him—a player!” she laughed crazily.

“Hey! I am almost tearing up! Why do you have to destroy the moment!” Caleb yelled at her. Lisa chuckled as she gets back to what she was doing.

“By the way, why did you suddenly ask me that?” Aisha said to Lisa

“Nothing.” she giggled. Her phone suddenly rang.

“Hello?” Lisa answered, “Kian? Yeah sure, why not. After 5? I’ll be out by 6. Oh okay. I’ll see you then.” Then she dropped the call.

“Was that Kian?” Aisha asked while Caleb scoffed.

“You’re going on a date?” She teased her while looking at Caleb.

“It’s not a date. He just wanted to give me something.” Lisa defended.

“Are you sure he’s not hitting on you?” Aisha continued.

“I don’t usually care about your stuffs, but I don’t trust that guy. Take it from a man’s perspective.” Caleb indifferently said.

“You sure? aren’t you just jealous?” Aisha was mocking him.

“Why should I?” Caleb irritatingly stood up as he approached the door, “Date as many men as you like, just be sure not to come running for help!” he banged the door. Lisa and Aisha looked at each other.

“She’s jealous.” Aisha whispered.

“Why should he? He doesn’t even care.” There’s a hint of sadness in her voice.

“You never know.”

Aisha went out of the office after their little chitchat. She decided to see Ethan for the meantime. She doesn’t feel like doing anything right now. She took two coffees in a styro cu-p before heading to Ethan’s office.

“Where’s Ethan?” She whispered to Dorothy.

“He is inside talking to a client.”

“Ohh, did I come at the wrong time?”

“No, you’re just on time. they’re about to end.”

“Okay. I’ll just wait then.” After some minutes, Ethan came out with a woman.

“Thank you Ms. Gray. I hope for a good partnership in the future.” She heard Ethan spoke respectfully. She stared at the woman who was with him. she looked familiar though. Just where did she saw this woman again? She was thinking.

“Of course Mr. Williams.” The woman paused as she stared back at Aisha.

“Oh,” Ethan was able to notice where her gaze is. He was surprise to see his wife. “By the way Ms. Gray, I want you to meet my wife, Stacy.” Ethan held her wife’s wai-st.

“Have we met before?” Ms. Gray asked.

“I don’t think so. But you look familiar though.” Aisha answered back. The woman was looking at her intently. She was staring at her as well. She really looked familiar.

“Anyway, It’s nice meeting you Ms. Williams.” She laid her hand.

“It’s my plea-sure .” Aisha shook her hand. She was looking at the woman’s eyes then her eyes wide-ned when she realized something. No, it can’t be! She gulped.
