Then after a few more seconds, medics came to where they are standing. One was about to cater Ethan’s wounds but he refused.
“Please treat him first.” His eyes landed on the man who was in pain.
He was about to walk away when Clement caught his attention.
“Why? Why did you let me beat you up first? Why?!” The man doesn’t understand his motives. “Why didn’t you just shoot me dead?”
Ethan halted. Then after a minute of silence, he faced the man.
“I told you, I don’t have any ill intentions towards you. But I hope beating me had satisfied your anger.. To me and to Aisha.” He explained.
What? He let himself get beaten just because of that?!
“What a nonsense!” The man scoffed before Ethan left him for good.
Did he take everything as a compensation of what Clement did for Aisha before? The saving and what not? Well, he’s crazy!
Ethan was trying to walk straight but after a few meters, he fell on his knees. He didn’t fall off the ground totally since his hand supported his body.
“Ethan!” Two voices was heard running to where he is.
“Who told you to take his beating, huh? Are you crazy?!” Hunter admonished him but he only chuckled lightly.
Hunter and Caleb held his arms and helped him stood up as they walk towards the private jet.
“Thank you.” He smiled at them.
“How are we going to explain this matter to Aisha now, huh?” Caleb snorted.
“You don’t have to… I’ll do the rest.” He replied.
“Damn it Ethan! If you didn’t stopped me then I should have shoot him dead!” Caleb was upset.
“Then I’m sure you’ll face Aisha’s wrath.” Ethan chuckled.
“Will she?” Hunter curiously asked.
“Ah, I’m telling you, she is still Aisha after all.” Ethan replied.
They have reached the place where the private jet was, then helped the man get in. He needs to go to the hospital as soon as possible or else….

Meanwhile, Aisha was cooking a hearty meal when the house phone ringed. She didn’t mind it since Ysabelle took the call. But after a few minutes, she called her attention since the caller was looking for her.
Who could it be? She thought. Guess someone was looking for Ethan.
“I’m sorry but Ethan is not here yet. I can take a message if—-” she instantly stopped. What? What did she just hear? Did the man said Ethan was in the hospital? But why?!
“W-where is he again?” she asked. “what happened to him?” she got worried. However, the caller didn’t provide the specific reason for it.
“you’ll see when you get here.” The woman heard the man said.
“Caleb!” she exclaimed. “Don’t joke around, will you!”
“I’m not! But I don’t know how to explain the details to you—–”
However, the man only heard a disconnected tone. The woman hung up! Dang! She’s definitely mad!
“Hunter… I think we need to get out from here before she even gets here!” he joked. “I think she’s mad!”
The two looked at Ethan who was being taken cared of by the doctor then look at each other. Their eyes we’re communicating silently.
“Should we leave him?” they both chuckled.
After a few more minutes, Caleb and Hunter saw a running woman. Worry is painted all over her face.
“Where is he?” she asked Caleb and Hunter who just pointed out the room in front of them, not saying anything. So Aisha went inside. However, she was startled to see a man lying on the bed with bruises all over his face.
What happened? She was puzzled.
“Aisha…” the man weakly smiled at the woman who was about to cry.
“You! What did you do this time?” she was trying to control her anger.
The man grinned playfully. “this is nothing… it’s just the result of a child fight.”
“Ethan! ” the woman was glaring at him. She’s totally upset. “Caleb, Hunter… what happened?” she firmly asked the two who was at the door watching.
But Hunter had been hitting Caleb’s side motioning him to speak up.
“Caleb!” the woman glared at him. Dang! She is totally pissed off!
“Aisha, I told you…this is noth—-” Ethan was about to say something but Aisha glared at him murderously. He gulped in dread. Damn it, this side of Aisha is totally scary!
“Oh that? your fiancé is just a little bit stupid to let Clement beat him up. I told him I could shoot that man dead but he refused, so there…” Caleb nonchalantly voiced.
“What did you say? Clement did this to you?” Aisha unbelievingly knitted her brows.
Then Ethan cued the two to get out for the meantime. Guess it’s time to tell her what happened. So as soon as the two got out, Ethan started to explain.
“You went to see him without telling me?!” Aisha intercepted as soon as Ethan explained everything.
“I’m sorry. But I didn’t expect him to go this far. I originally wanted to settle what needs to be settled but I have never expected him to threatened the Kersey’s.”
“But even though, you should have told me about this!” she shed some tears.
Ethan reached her face and wiped her tears away.
“shhh… it’s okay…. I’m okay.” He ssured her. “what’s important is everyone’s safe now. Zoren had already retreated and Clement is in prison now. No one can hurt you and Mira from now on and moving forward.”
“I’m sorry…. I-it’s because of me that you have to suffer this much! I’m sorry!” the woman was sobbing.
“Aisha… it’s not your fault, remember that, okay? In fact, it’s my responsibility to protect the mother of my children.” He smiled. Slowly, he rose and sat on the bed. Then gently, he pulled the woman closer and ki-ssed her li-ps pa-ssionately.
“I love you and I will do everything to protect you and Mira.” He muttered.
“I love you to… and I will always be here for you.” The woman smiled lovingly.
“So does that mean you’re willing to come with me and stay with me… forever?”
“Ehm.” The woman nodded.
“And would that mean you’re willingness to be the mother of my 12 children?” the man smirked teasingly.
“Hey!” the woman pinched him on the sides. “That’s too much! Two will do!” she yelped.
“Eh? But we already have two children, let’s add more… at least five… what do you think, hmm?” his eyes were pleading.
“We have another child aside from Mira?” the woman suddenly asked.
Ah! Ethan forgot that the woman lost her memories so she must have forgotten about Eli.
“Ah, you must have forgotten about Eli. Don’t worry I’ll tell you more about him.” The man beamed then cuddled the woman once again. Ah, how he misses her so much!
“Eli? “the woman muttered silently. Then suddenly a pang of guilt shadowed her heart. how did that child lived his life without a mother? She felt sad for the child.

*The next day*
Ethan was mesmerized upon seeing the woman coming down the stairs. She is wearing a white, sleeveless dress. Its two inches above the knee. And for the second time in forever, the woman was wearing a high-heeled white sandal. the shining diamonds on it seemingly accentuated her long lean legs.
” you are so beautiful, hun.” He whispered in her ears as soon as she reached him.
” you look handsome too.” The woman whispered back. ” Should I stay beside you always to protect you from some sneaky bi-tch es?” She joked.
” Don’t worry, this man is dedicated to you and you alone.” He smirked. ” I should be the one saying those words to you. I think I am going to hire some men to surround you tonight.”
” that’s absurd Ethan. I can protect myself.” Then they both chuckled.
” By the way, have you seen Mira? I haven’t seen her since this morning.” Aisha probed.
” Don’t worry, she is with her Granddad. Besides, Caleb and Hunter had been watching her since this morning.”
” Oh.” The woman yelped. Why does she have this inkling that those guys are somehow into something? Anyway, as long as her daughter is safe with them then she’s totally okay.
” Shall we?” Ethan offered his arm.
” Ehm.” The woman nodded then held the man’s arm and walk towards the car.
Meanwhile, Rio, Hunter and Caleb were a bit busy as well. Guess they will be late for tonight’s event since they’re not done dressing the child yet.
” I told you, we should have hired someone to do this instead.” Hunter scowled at Caleb.
” Whose idea is this in the first place?” Caleb retorted. Then they both sighed. After a few minutes of messing up Mira’s face, Caleb decided to call a proffesional make-up artist.
” ah, if only you had thought of that early…” hunter fell on the couch feeling tired.
” I thought we could do it alone.” Caleb chuckled mockingly.
” Tsk!” The other man scoffed.
While the two gentlemen were resting, a well-dressed man came out from the other room.
Demetrius! How could he dressed like that without a proffessional’s a-ssistance?! The two yelped.
” So what happened with Clement’s case?” He suddenly asked out of the blue.
” Eh?” The two looked at each other..
”I don’t have all the details but according to Ethan, he will be transferred to the central state after a few days. His case was related to Silver’s, so the FBI wanted to investigate further.” Caleb explained.
Yeah, who would have thought that Clement was the son of Silver’s private doctor who was taking care of the Island men before. And Clement had already met Aisha before while visiting Silver. He was also an accomplice for drugging Cherry before.
Seems like what happened to Cherry before also happened to Aisha. Good thing Clement didn’t go as far as what Silver did to Cherry.
*FLASHBACK:*
Three days ago, the Kersey couple called Ethan saying that they wanted to talk to him. And since its about Aisha, Ethan agreed. However, when he received the text message from them, he got curious and was a bit suspicious as to why they have to see each other in a certain place. Why not have the conversation at their house instead?
His suspicions led him to ask a favor from Caleb and Hunter. And with Hunter’s ability, he was able to track the number that the couples had used.
The couple’s seemed to be in danger so they have alerted the authorities in that island. Also, Caleb went ahead to investigate further. When Ethan came to the Island, Caleb disguised himself as one of the villagers to alert the man. Then after that, he went back to his post where he positioned his sniper gun. Hunter on the other hand was guiding the authorities since Ethan said to wait for his cue before showing up.
Caleb was itching to shoot Clement when he was beating Ethan but he never did the hand signal. Hunter was so eager to attack as well, but then he blindly played along with Ethan’s plan. Whatever his plan is, it must be reasonable, that’s for sure.
But after all, Caleb and Hunter got disappointed upon knowing Ethan’s reason. He took all the beatings just to compensate for what the man did for Aisha? That’s the dumbest reason they have ever heard! But could they blame the man for it? Anyway, everything is okay now.
Hope everything will be alright now, considering that Zoren had given up on her while Clement was in prison now.
