EPISODE 71
He was caressing his jaw while in de-ep thought.
The man’s proposition is seemingly justifiable but there are flaws on it and the old man doesn’t want to risk his business for it.
“Clement, I appreciate your suggestions but that isn’t a path I am willing to take.” Zoren told the young man.
“Zoren, this is the only way!” The young man insisted.
“Listen young man, your proposition will only benefit you but not me nor my business. You of all people should know how I conduct my business.” The old man clarified. “And I don’t believe that’s the only option that I have…”
“What do you mean?” Clement creased his brow.
“Well….” The old man stood up from where he was sitting. ” I will get her to join me by hook or by crook.” The old man smirk as if he had a constructed plan already.
“That’s not gonna happen and you know that.”
“If I can’t let her surrender on her own then I think I will be needing her daughter’s help.” He chuckled frantically. “A woman like her and her ability… It should not go to waste.”
“What are you planning?”
“Well, a better plan than yours.” He looked at the young man. ” look Clement, our difference is that your decisions were base on your emotions, while me, I use my head.” He emphasized. “Why kill a useful woman if you can recycle, right?” He laughed evilly.
“she’s supposed to be dead by now! If it is not because of me then she should have died already!” Clement yelled. ” I have the final say on what to do or not to do with her.”
“Then that’s your fault for saving her, not me. That’s your problem young man. she owes me too and that’s because of you. So if you think about it, with all the help I have given you all this time, It should have paid what she owed you.” He glanced at the young man who was glowering despitefully.
”Don’t bark on the wrong tree. You should be lecturing your woman and not me.” The old man continued.
“As if she cares!” He scowled. ” She’s so ungrateful and she will pay for it. Her and that annoying man Ethan!” He was clenching his teeth.
The old man stared at him emotionlessly. He was actually observing the young man. His personal emotions getting on his way, it will become his downfall sooner or later…that’s for sure.
“Clement… ” he uttered his name worriedly. ” don’t ever do something that you’ll regret sooner or later. I know you must have hate her for now, but I saw how you have cared for her in} the past few years. Don’t let your emotions blind you… You might regret it sooner or later.” The old man voiced.
“I won’t regret anything! Take her or kill her, I don’t care anymore. I made a mistake when I saved her from near death three years ago, and I will not make that mistake anymore.” He was full of hate while voicing his thought.
The old man went in full silence upon hearing the young man. He really wants to kill them all huh.
Earlier, Clement called him and he was desperate to end the lives of Ethan and Alex. But Clement wanted to keep Alex knowing the things that she can do. That woman can definitely do more than anyone from his men. He wants to keep her by his side no matter what happen. But this young man wanted to kill both of them! He won’t let that happen! Not with Alex..
“Clement, I don’t care what you want to do with that Ethan, But I won’t allow you to touch the woman. She’s mine.” The old man ordered.
Clement rolled his eyes and was about to say something but the knock on the door interrupts him. He scoffed.
“Who is it?” The old man called out from the inside. Then a middle age man dressed in black suit came in. it was Kami, one of his bodyguards.
“What is it, Kami?” The old man asked his personal guard.
“Mr. Zoren, you have a visitor.”
“Visitor? But I am not expecting anyone. Who’s that brave person who came to see me without an appointment?” The old man derided.
“Dark Shadow Hunter. That’s the name he provided. He said you’ll want to entertain him once you heard that name.” Kami replied. “Sorry Sir, I tried to shew him but he insisted to see you and now he has been waiting at the gate.”
The old man raised his brow then went silent after. “Dark shadow hunter.” He heard that codename before…wait…. He was thinking.
“Ah, don’t mind that crazy person. I think he’s just making it up just to see you. I’m sure he is one of the people who wants to be your business partner—–” Clement suddenly stopped when he saw how the old man yelped in surprise. His eyes wide-ned in disbelief.
“Dark shadow hunter!!!!!!?? Impossible!!!!” He couldn’t believe his ears.
“Did you say he is here?” The old man went to Kami’s side.
“Y-yes sir…” He was surprised at the old man’s perplexed response.
“Where is he again?”
“H-he’s outside the gate.” He uttered breakingly.
“Let him in this instant!” The old man rou-ghly ordered.
At his order, Kami dashed outside to invite the mysterious man that was patiently waiting outside.
“Just who is he? Is he that important?” Clement growled upon seeing how the old man responded.
But the old man went in daze. Dark shadow hunter. It was one of the great hunter’s codename. It was believed that he was the legendary warrior who created the underground’s secret hunters, also called the bounties!
Some says he showed his real face three years ago… What was that event again? What kind of conference was that again? He had forgotten about it since after that event, no one dared to speak about it, ever!
He wasn’t able to attend that event since he was travelling to Asia that time. Dang! Why is he here? Using the codename Dark Shadow Hunter means he came in peace. But there will be war after.
But why? What did he do to gain the man’s atttention? He was in de-ep thought.
“Hey, Zoren…”
“Clement, get out for the meantime.” He rigidly uttered.
“Eh? Why are you doing thi—-”
“Clement!” He yelled. “Just go!” He was serious therefore Clement stood up at once and left the room.
“What is his problem?” He scoffed, but instead of leaving the old man’s house, he decided to hide in a corner. He needs to see who that damn famous man that sent shivers to the old man’s spine.
After a few minutes, Kami was tredding the hallway with a middle age man following behind him. He was wearing a long white coat and a black cloak around his ne-ck that covered half of his face. Clement could only see his eyes.
What a strange man! He exclaimed within. Who could this person be?
Kami knocked before openning the door and escorted the man inside.
“Sir Zoren, the man is here.” He kowtowed then cued the man to enter. He did.
“Please have a seat.” The old man Zoren offered. He followed.
“Dark Shadow Hunter.” Zoren uttered. “To what do I owe this visit?”
“I come in peace.” The man kowtowed. ” and I hope I’ll leave this house in peace as well.”
The old man creased his brow. He doesn’t even know what he did to get the attention of this esteemed man.
” forgive me but I don’t understand what you’re saying.” Zoren sat opposite the man. “Care to tell me what made you visit this unnamed old man?”
” I really came to talk to you and I came in peace. And I am hoping that we could avoid unnecessary war that may happen in the future.” The man uttered.
“what do you mean? I never wage a war against you. I think this is a mistake. You must have mistaken me for someone.”
“No. I really came for you, Zoren Zalasar.”
The old man held his breath. He knew him!
“Just who are you and what are you talking about?!” the old man shuddered but he still tried to maintain a calm composure in front of him.
” Leave the woman and her child alone.”
The old man creased his brow. The woman and the child? Did he mean Alex and her child? He’s confused and the man in white coat must have seen it so he continued his speech.
“Your men attacked her at her apartment the other day and I’m sure you already know it.”
“You!” The old man yelped in bewilderment. Just who is this person and why do he care about that woman? He thought. ”Who are you and why are you doing this?! Why do you care about that woman?”
“Me?” he twitched his li-ps. ” that woman whom you choose to lay your hand to is MY D-A-U-G-H-T-E-R.” He emphasized. ” And I think you picked the wrong target this time.” he confidently leaned his back on the chair.
”W-what did you just say? Did you just mention that the woman—-Alex… i-is your daughter?” He couldn’t believe the words he just heard.
” You heard it right, Zoren. And her name is not Alex… her real name is Aisha– my daughter who got lost in the ocean for three full years.” The man slowly removed the cloak that has been covering his face all this time.
Demetrius Mikasa?!
Unknown to them, a man was silently listening to their conversation all throu-ghout, was hiding in a corner. He was clenching his teeth and had already been planning something evil within him.
If the old man concedes, then he will, by no means push throu-ghwith his schemes. He will never let all his hardworks be in vain. No! Never!
