(30 MINUTES EARLIER BEFORE MARTHA’S FALL)
ru-by sat down enjoying her snack while busy with some work on the table.
The other teachers went out together to get something to eat.
ru-by sighed tiredly.
Just then, The door flunged open and Mr Mike c@m£ in. ru-by shivered and quic-kly stood up. Because she rushly stood up, Her pack of cookies she was eating fell down and scattered on the ground.
“Mr Mike? What are you doing here?” ru-by asked shaking in fear moving backwards.
“Why are you asking? You know I work here” Mr Mike said with a chuckle moving close to her.
ru-by breathed heavily and started praying in her mind.
“Where were you yesterday?” Mike asked angrily
ru-by was close to the wall now with no where to go.
Mike placed his both hands on the wall to stop her from escaping and to make things worst for ru-by, Mr Mike had switched off the lights and quic-kly closed the windows and bolted the door lock.
“What do you mean? Yesterday was Sunday… I was at home” She replied sharply with her heart beating fas-ter and fas-ter.
“I c@m£ over to your place yesterday…and you weren’t there, Seems you have left your home and moved into some where else!” He thun-dered angrily.
Was he stalking her? He even had to come over to her place, Thank God she just recently moved to Becky’s place. What could she have done if she had met him at home?.
“Were you stalking me? What did I ever do to you to make you obsessed with me this way… Huh?” ru-by yelled.
Mike chuckled wickedly and placed his nas-ty hand on her face
“It’s your smile… I liked you since your feet entered this school… But YOU NEVER NOTICED ME!!”
ru-by looked at him frightened. She started crying and her hands began to shake.
“Help me…anyone!Help me” ru-by begged trembling with tears.
“Stop that alre-ady! No one will hear you! Why are you ma-king me feel like the bad guy! I actually love you… So plea-se take me in”
ru-by shaked her head and quic-kly dodged him trying to escape but Mike was fast in pu-lling her back by dragging her hair.
“Help me” She yelled again with tears flowing from her eyes.
Mike angrily closed her mouth with his strong hands.
But then, There was a loud scream and it sounded like it was from the stair case. ru-by remembered well. That was Martha’s scream. Even though Martha’s voice was tiny and soft, Her scream was loud and sharp.
When Mike heard this strange scream, He re-leased his hand from ru-by’s mouth and ran out.
ru-by breathed heavily and felt she was about to faint. She was seriously sweaty.
She ran to the stair case to find out what was going on and met Barbara trying to tou-chMartha who had fallen down and had hit her head quite ha-rd.
“Barbara? What have you done?” ru-by yelled as Barbara turned to look.
“Sém” Barbara said shivering.
“I wasn’t the one, I don’t know what happened” Barbara lied shivering in fear.
“This is not the time for you to start telling stupid lies! What are you waiting for? Give her a piggy back ride and let go to the sick bay” ru-by said as Barbara obeyed by carrying her on her back.
As they ran to the sick bay, ru-by kept staring at Barbara. She didn’t know if she should be thankful or angry at her.
She was quite thankful that Barbara pushed Martha because if it didn’t happen, There would not be any scream which would be able to save her from Mike.

Barbara stayed at the sick bay with Martha. After some drugs, They placed a plaster on Martha’s cut.
She sle-pt but woke up afterwards. She met Barbara sitting on the bench.
Immediately, Barbara saw her, She moved closer to her.
“Are you okay now?”
Martha simply nodded.
“Look, I’m sorry about that…what happened earlier.. Seriously, I didn’t know what took over me, plea-se do forgive me”
“it’s fine,i’m okay…promise”
Barbara smiled and moved closer to her.
“Well, Can I ask though?” Barbara asked
“what?” Martha answered.
“What were you talking about? Uhm… The Secret?”
“oh… yeah, uhh…. hmm… I mean that day you committed on offence, no b©dy saw you but i did”
“Offence?What was that?”
“examination malpractice”
“Ohhh… I remember now, No b©dy knew… How come you knew?! I guess you had really sharp eyes to see me Wow.. Was that that the secret?”
Martha nodded
“Well, Sém said you should meet her in the staff room later”
“why didn’t she stay with you in case i woke up?
“I noticed she wasn’t in the mood, She kept thinking and murmuring to herself in de-ep sadness so i asked her to take a break and rest in her office”
“oh.. okay then, let me go and see her” Martha said struggling to stand up.
Barbara helped her and saw her left.

“Sém?… I’m okay now” Martha said
“That’s good to hear…If anyone bullies you next time, make sure to let me know… Okay?”
Martha nodded with a smile.
Martha looked at ru-by’s table and saw a picture frame on her table. She took it and stared at the picture.
Martha ti-ght£ñed her eyes staring at the picture and stared back at ru-by.
“sém? I think i was right after all”
“Huh? Right about?”
“I noticed you looked familiar, I think I know you now” Martha said.
“Huh? When was that?” ru-by asked surprised.
“3 years ago, do you remember me?” martha asked.
ru-by looked at her and shaked her head.
“I don’t… I’m not sure, But you look like a new face to me, I’ve never met you before” ru-by replied.
“oh? but is this your dad?” martha asked pointing at an elder man who was in the picture with her.
ru-by smiled and nodded. Martha shone her eyes wi-de suprised
“Why? What is it? You keep Looking at me” ru-by said.
“huh? it’s nothing” martha said bi-ting herl-ips as she her thoughts ran on her head.

ru-by decided to stay late at school and finish her remaining work. She was glad Mr Mike had left. She also asked Beckey to go home without her.
While ru-by did her work, she kept remembering what Mike did to her. “I will report this to the cops… Nothing is stopping me” She angrily thoughts as tears flowed from her eyes.
She also remembered the nas-ty, irritating words that Mike said.
“You know I love you?”
“What a stupid word to say!..” ru-by yelled as she bit herl-ips ti-ghtly. She felt her throwing her angry to any one she saw but she was glad that no one was in school. Only her and the security outside.
When she was throu-gh, She arranged her desk, carried her bag and left.
She went outside and met Ryan who seemed to be worried sick waiting for her.
Immediately,She saw him, She de-eply sighed and walked fas-ter.
Ryan stood up suprised.He watched her leave.
“Sém?” He called.
ru-by was very angry and could possibly throw stones at who ever… She just didn’t care. She turned back and looked at Ryan.
Ryan smiled and trying walking closer to her.
“Don’t!” She yelled.
He stopped immediately and stared at her.
“Don’t! Don’t come any closer, Don’t come near me!”She yelled.
Ryan looked on not knowing what to say or do next.
“You said you loved me right? How foolish! Stop it alre-ady! It’s annoying and irritating, You are just a 19 year old kid who doesn’t know about love and R0m-n-ce, Tell me… Have you ever been in a serious relationship before?” She asked him despite the long distance they had between them.She was rather far from Ryan who couldn’t come close to her since she had stopped him from moving further to her.
Ryan looked down sadly and finally faced her.
“All you do is to flir-t! You don’t know about love so just let me be! All men are je-rks!!You asked of my age a long time ago and I didn’t give you an answer to that… I’m 25….Did you hear me?! I’m 25, For God’s sake, I’m 25!!….Not 20 or 21…and you are just 19,You are still a kid to me…That is a 6 year difference, That means when I was 18 re-ady to re-ad ero-tic a and drink alcohol, You were just 12 who just finished basic cl@$$…So, plea-se just stop it alre-ady!! It’s embarr@$$ing! I don’t want to ever ever fall in love again. We aren’t even in the same category and cl@$$…. I’m poor and you are rich… You can get anything you want with just one snap of your fin-ger while I’m still struggling to make ends meet for myself! Do you know me? Do you know my past? Tell me?!! You are a student and I’m a teacher, Ryan… We have a lot of differences, We just don’t fit,What if we decide to be together? How would you become a great person in future without your father’s help because you aren’t good in your academics and we know that well……Find another girl because I’m not the right person!!!”
ru-by had alre-ady started crying and Ryan also couldn’t hold his tears.
“Sém! I don’t care plea-se, Who am I to stop my heart?…I still love you despite all this” He asked crying trying to move closer.
“Stop… plea-se!! Don’t… Don’t move any further!” ru-by yelled taking 2 steps back ward.
He stopped immediately again as heavy tears flowed from his eyes.
ru-by cleaned her tears immediately and stared at him.
“Ryan?” She called.
Ryan looked at her crying quietly the more.
“Love me”
“Not” She added slowly as the scene closed darkly.
