Ryan and ru-by looked each other with smiles written all over their faces as they both la-id on the b£d.
“I’m so happy” Ryan whispered pu-lling her close to him.
“Why?” ru-by replied looking at him.
“After all this years, You are now mine” He chuckled.
“Years? Look at you talk” She laughed.
They both continued staring at each other.
“Did you charm me?” Ryan asked in a whisper.
“Yes, I did… Abr@cadabr@…Whosh!” ru-by replied laughing.
“But you know, I really want to know about your…past” Ryan finally said which took away ru-by’s laughter.
ru-by sighed.
“It’s not really something big, The thing was that my ex-boyfriend was actually married–”
“What?… Seriously?”
“Wait, Let me finish, The day he called me and confessed everything including a harsh break up–” She paused.
“That was the day I also lost my father”
“Oh holy! I’m so sorry, I guess that’s why” Ryan said sadly
“It’s fine, It’s been 3 years now… I also want to know about your past” ru-by said.
“There is nothing there, What do you want to know?” Ryan giggled
“Well, Uh… Why did you stay at home for 3 years and even decided not to go back to school?”
“Oh… Uhh… Well, Actually… I had a fatal accident and broke my legs, I stayed in the hospital for good 2 years, I thought all hopes to walk again was gone, I used crutches, wheel chairs and anything you could think about” Ryan said.
“Geez… I’m sorry, It’s must have been ha-rd”
“Of course, though I tried my best, After using my legs again, My dad asked me to return to school– Ryan chuckled in a sad tone.
“How did he expect me to go back to school when my mates were alre-ady in the higher institution, And the worst thing was that he was actually the cause, If only he had called a designated driver– Ryan paused.
“I went too far right?” He added.
“Not really, About the designated driver?”
“Let’s just stop there” Ryan interrupted with a smile.
“I don’t want to remember such event any more, I’ve tried to move on” He continued.
ru-by smiled and patted his head.
“You’ve been doing well” She said.
Ryan smiled back at her.
“By the way… I just remembered, Why did you call me ru-by then?” ru-by asked looking at him childishly angry.
Ryan laughed.
“Was it when we were outside school?,I was pretty angry… But now we are dating, I can call you ru-by now… Right, –ru-by?” He chuckled.
“No” She retorted instantly.
“But why? Huh? Alright we dating?”
“I know we are dating but it’s not yet official, We just keep it a secret….That’s means you have to call me Sém… I’m still your teacher, You know”
“Alright… Alright… Ugh… What about when we are alone then?”
“Then call me ru-by but say it in a whisper”
“ALRIGHT ru-by”
“Hey” ru-by chuckled.
“By the way, What of your promise?” Ryan asked.
“What promise?” ru-by asked surprised
“The day I first met you….Uhmm… You promised to give me your number, and you didn’t do so till now”
“Oh goodness, Ryan,Don’t tell me you still remember that? … But,You could have collected it from your father, He has my contact”
“No, I want it from you…as-suming, I took it from my father, I would look like someone who is just Flir-ting with you or quite obsessed with you, I decided to collect from you to show you what I really and truly feel for you” Ryan chuckled.
“Are you sure you are 19?…Are you sure I’m the first girl you are really dating?”
Ryan laughed and asked;
“Why?”
“It’s just you seem like someone who has dated before, You behave older than your age too” ru-by laughed. Her sweet laugh was interrupted by a loud thun-der.
She quickly wra-pped her arms around Ryan as he held her ti-ght. ru-by faced his broad che-st as her head stayed un-der his ne-ck.
“Were you scared?” He asked.
“I guess” She replied.
“I’m here for you, You are going to stay with me for the night right?”
“Ha ha ha…. Alright, Sure.. I will just have to dodge Beckey tomorrow”
“When you reach home tomorrow, Call me okay?”
“Alright”
“Because I’m going to come pick you”
“Huh? Why?” ru-by asked surprised shifting her head up to face him.
“We are going on a date tomorrow” He replied smiling.
“Oh my… Okay but you can’t pick me till I give you a call to do so”
“And why is that?”
“I don’t want Beckey to see you and suspect us, When she leaves to the market tomorrow,I will make her niece sleep and then I will call you to pick me, Okay?”
“Oh… Alright, but i’m quite jealous” He whispered gently.
“Huh? Why?” She asked.
“You said you will put your niece to sleep tomorrow, You should put your boyfriend to sleep now” He said spouting his li-ps childishly.
ru-by laughed and pec-ked him slightly on his li-ps, went back to the place she rested her head facing his che-st. She wra-pped her arms ti-ghtly around his b©dy and Ryan cu-mddled her sofly.
“Go to sleep, My baby” She told him as sleep took over their eyes.

That morning, ru-by carefully tip toed into the house. She didn’t want Beckey to find out she was just coming home.
“Aunt ru-by?” Mira called from behind.
ru-by looked behind her very shocked.
“Are you just coming?” Beckey asked coming out of the room yawning.
“Huh, Yeah” ru-by muttered.
“From?”
“Huh? Uhmm… I was suddenly called for a sleepover at my friend’s place” ru-by lied.
“Oh… Friends you say?”
“Well, I told you that–you aren’t my only friend”
ru-by laughed and turned to leave.
“Aunt ru-by, You really missed yesterday night” Mira said happily.
“No, I don’t think so” ru-by smiled and looked at Beckey who looked at her suspiciously. ru-by cleared her throat loudly and became serious.
“Why do you say so?” She asked.
“My dad came yesterday and he…
“Her dad is back?” ru-by asked Beckey interrupting Mira.
Beckey smiled and nodded.
“Don’t finish your statement, I gotta go rest.. ” ru-by said finally cutting Mira shut.
“Huh?” Mira felt sad all of the sudden.
“I’m sorry but I’m tired, Uhmm… Beckey, when are you going to the market?”
Beckey looked at the big clock that was hung on the wall.
“Maybe around 2pm,Come on Mira, You have to take your bathe” Beckey said holding Sad Mira’s hand as they both walked to the bathroom.

ru-by watched Beckey go to the market happily. She kept waving to Beckey till she was out of sight.
“She is really weird today, Why is she so happy? Was the sleepover great or..?” Beckey thought as she finally left.
ru-by turned to Mira who sle-pt like a baby. She smiled and stro-ked Mira’s long hair. She quickly took her phone and called Ryan’s number and also se-nt the address to him.
He came later on, wearing a cream colored turtle ne-ck and a black trou-ser.
“Is your ne-ck okay?” ru-by asked opening the door for him to enter.
“It’s kinda red and hurts though…but I’m fine” He smiled as he entered.
“Is she Beckey’s niece?” He asked.
ru-by nodded smiling.
“Just hold on, Let me apply a little of make up” ru-by said and turned to go to her room when Ryan hu-gged her from behind.
“Hey? What if Mira wakes up, I won’t be able to defend us” ru-by said shocked.
“I don’t care, I just love you so much” He whispered to her ear.
“But you know… This is my 2nd time back hu-gging you” He added.
ru-by confusedly looked at space and gently re-moved his hands from her wai-stand turned to face him.
Ryan sat down on the sofa’s arm and pu-lled ru-by closer to him holding her wai-stwhile she stood.
“When was the 1st time then?” She asked curiously.
Ryan laughed.
“How come I’m the only one who remembers… Well, The first time we met–
“Oh, When I broke your mug right?”
“You do remember, I told you right? It’s my favorite mug”
“I know Mister” ru-by said and laughed.
Ryan watched her beautiful smile and giggled.
“I love you and you should always remember that” He said holding her wai-stthe more and pu-lled her closer.
“Hey, Of course… I know that, Now.. Let me go, What if Mira–
ru-by was cut off by her speech when Ryan stood up and ki-ssed her forehead.
He looked into her eyes.
“Promise me that you would never leave me or even break up with me no matter what people say maybe if they mistakenly find out about our relationship or for even any other reason” He whispered
“Oh my goodness,Alright…I promise you”
“You promised?”
“I promise” ru-by said as they both smiled.

Loud R0m-ntic music could be audibly heard in the background as ru-by and Ryan held hands.
They went to a nearby park and tried funny glas-ses and hats. They also took lots of pictures here and there. They bought ice cream and went to the amusement park to ride Flying horses and more.
They really enjoyed their date. It was very fun and R0m-ntic.
At the end of the day, Ryan ki-ssed her de-eply on her li-ps at a hidden corner and waved her good night,Then they both dep@rted to their various homes with smiles on their faces.

ru-by couldn’t sleep,She kept thinking of Ryan. She smiled and to-uched her che-st and could hear her heart racing. She was so in love. At that moment, She had a flash of memory about their ki-ss in his room. She smiled childishly and to-uched her li-ps.
“Is he really 19?….How does he ki-ss so good?…No one would believe he had never been in a relationship” ru-by thought. Her phone made a sound and she looked at it. It was a message from Ryan.
