The days progresses and I have not really lay my finger on anything that I will use in having misunderstanding with Muna until one day during break period……
Lisa: hey dude, please spare me some of your time
Muna: Okey, anything serious?
Lisa : Yah, just that I didn’t understand the formula sir John used in solving the mathematics
Muna: Alright, lemme see the one you didn’t understand
Lisa:…. I was opening my book to get to the page then Susan walked in on us
Susan : hi Lisa, hi Muna, she greeted
Lisa : Hi suzy, I responded to her greetings smiling
Susan: Muna, we had an agreement on something today, please don’t tell me you are going to disappoint me yet again, she said frowning
Muna : Oh my gosh Suzy! You know I have totally forgotten about it again… OK just give me a sec I’m coming
Susan : please hurry up, I don’t want to keep postponing it anymore.. She said walking out
Muna: Buddy, I’m really very sorry about this, please I will be back, or better still we will do this at home Okey?
Lisa: I didn’t respond, I just kept mopping at him as he stands up from the seat he was sitting on…. Noticing my mood he tickled me but I didn’t say anything
Muna: I’m really sorry buddy, is not intentional, I just have to help her out before things gets worst, I will tell you all about it later, I promise…. and zoom off he went with Susan
I was very bittered within me, Susan is the new girl in clas-sand since she arrives, she likes attaching herself to Muna, though nothing serious because she’s my friend too and she’s cool too.
But the fact that Muna left me for her is getting me pissed off, I’m mad and jealous and I know is something very important that Muna wants to help her with if not he would have told that they will solve it later, I know him too well when it comes to things like that but right now, I don’t give a damn about it, the opportunity that I have long sought for has finally and practically arrived and I’m going to lay hands on this very fact and keep my distance with him… Period!
I said and packed my book into my bag and left the clas-sangrily…..
I went to the cafeteria and bought a sandwich, sat in an empty chair and started eating gently… Frankly speaking, I wasn’t enjoying it at all because someone that’s supposed to be sitting next to me and eat and chat with me is not here and it hurts so much but I’m not gonna admit that it hurts…
What and where could Susan and Muna possible be by now, I asked my self and received no reply… Just calm down he promised to tell you all about it Lisa, I heard the voice in my head.
Phili-p: Hey Muna, you’re all alone today, what of your twins?….. He was actually referring to that monkey Muna
Lisa : I faked a smile… He will join me soon I replied..
Phili-p: Oh I see, Okey do you mind if I keep you company until he arrives? He asked smiling, revealing a white set of arranged teeth,with a gap at the center……
Lisa: Yah sure, you’re free to..
He thanked me and sat opposite me still wearing that Smile
Phili-p is my clas-smate from junior, he has always been a good friend to me and has always had an eye for me but I gave him no attention at all. He is tall, fair, handsome and masculine built, a year older than me and from a wealthy family as well, his intelligent level is average and he is very handsome. Girls in our clas-sflocks around him and even the seniors and juniors but he chose not to give in to anyone except for bugging my life alone…… The right opportunities are presenting itself when I best needed them and I think I will use Phili-p to make Muna jealous.
Phili-p: oh, here comes Muna and Susan, he said looking at a direction
I followed his gaze and saw Muna and Susan walking towards the cafeteria laughing like couples
That sight makes me more jealous and angry and I didn’t realize that Phili-p was just sitting opposite me and must have noticed my looks.

I refused talking to Muna until school dismissed, without waiting for him I went home. Later in the evening he came to my house to check on me
Kelvin: Lisa, your dude is here
I didn’t respond, I just lay down on my bed mopping at a book…. A knock at the door, I know it must be Muna yet I kept quit..
Muna: hey buddy, should I come in?
Lisa : what do you want?
Muna: I want us to study further on the maths
Lisa: I can do without you, thanks….
Muna: OK, I’m sorry for earlier, Susan needed me to help her talk to our form teacher about…
I cut him off, in as much as I wanted to hear what he helped Susan out with our form master, but my pride just can’t let me do that…
Lisa: just leave Muna, I don’t wanna hear a thing…
The door opened and Muna walked into my room… I wanted to see him really but I just pretended that I’m mad at him for walking into my room without my permission
Lisa: What the heck is wrong with you? Why did you just badge into my room without permission, don’t you know that I’m a girl and I needed some privacy? I yelled at him
Muna: Common buddy, what’s wrong with you? I said I’m sorry for what happened in school, it wasn’t intentional and besides Susan asked me to help her out before you did… He said soothingly trying to make me understand
Lisa: Oh really, Susan asked you to help her out before me, so what? Can’t you just tell her to wait until you’re done with me? Huh! I barked at him
Muna: I have turned her down few times already and I just can’t do that anymore, he said pleadingly
Lisa: That just means you don’t know what it means to be someone’s best friend, I said running out of words to use….
Muna: I know buddy, that’s why I’m here right now,… Please we have come a long way, just don’t let a minor thing ruin our friendship….
Lisa: To you is a minor and to me is a major, so just get out of my room…
Muna: please bestie, just come off it, stop been a drama queen, he said jokingly
Lisa: I’m a drama queen right? Now just watch me act… I went down from my bed with the intention of opening the door for him so that he will go out from my room. I am determined to keep my distance from him and his pleas are trying to change my mind but I ain’t gonna let that happen…… I climbed down from the bed…
Muna: Where are you going to? He asked surprised…
Lisa : To show you the way out of course….
Muna: laughing…. You are not serious buddy, are you? He said trying to hold me.
In the process of dodging my hands from his, my book fell down, we both bent down together to pick it and our head collides, then our gaze.. He was smiling at the incident holding his head but I was carried away by the look in his eyes…. I stood there looking at him, I felt strange, oh yes very strange within me, I forgot about all my plans momentarily and focused on this handsome dude standing next to me… I just wished he can say something, like I love you, I just wished that it was our mouth that collides and not our head,… All this crazy thoughts was running throu-ghmy mind until he laughed out loud and said…
Muna: gosh! Lizard your head is really very strong, my head is aching right now… Still holding his head….
I realized that if I didn’t act fast, I might just end up fooling my self before him…
Lisa: That’s not funny you know, at least courtesy demands you say sorry… I said with a frown..
Muna : you should be the one to say sorry…..
He was still smiling and then he noticed that I wasn’t smiling then he apologized…. OK buddy, I’m sorry, does it hurt?
He said trying to touch my head but I hit his hand off and hissed…..
Lisa : Just get going already or I leave my room for you!
Muna : please don’t leave your room, I will leave… See you in school morrow… He said waving bye to me as he walks out…
Lisa: Whatever…. I said and shut the door behind him….
