Whitney who had witness the kiss between Susan and Logan let out a gasp before descending the stairs.
“Get away from my boyfriend!” Whitney said as she pulled Susan away from Logan.
“Stay out of it you witch!” Susan said drunkenly and when she made a move towards Whitney, Logan held onto her.
“I think you’ve done enough for a day Susan. You are drunk and it’s time you go home” Logan said as he led her to the sofa where he made her seat.
“I don’t want to go home, I want to stay here with you, she should be the one to leave!” Susan said as she glared at Whitney.
“Why isn’t it me? Why did it have to be her? Have been by your side for six years but you never once looked my way and then she showed up out of a blue and stole you from me. It’s unfair!”
“She should be the one to leave, she should be the one to get out of here! You don’t love her Logan, it’s me you love” she added before slumping off on the sofa.
“Am sorry” Logan apologise to Whitney who shook her head at him.
“Why will you apologise for her. She should do that herself when she wakes up ” Whitney replied.
“You don’t mind me taking her home then?” Logan asked and when he got her approval he carried the drunk Susan to his car and began his journey to her home.
Whitney didn’t know why but instead of feeling angry at Susan’s interruption, she felt a little sad for her.
It’s heartbreaking to love some one who doesn’t feel the same. It must be hard for Susan too, she thought as she went back to their room.
She was trying to get some sleep a while later when Logan came into the room.
She felt him join her in the bed and as soon as she felt his arms around her, she turn into his warmth embrace.
“Am sorry I took long” he said against her fore head.
“It’s okay. How’s Susan?”
“Got home in one piece and her sister is with her, so we don’t have to worry” Logan replied.
“Let’s get some sleep then” Whitney said and when he put out the lamp light, he pulled her to him again while she held him close.

~ NEXT DAY ~ BRIGHAM HOSPITAL ~
As soon as Whitney arrived at the hospital, she was intercepted by Romeo.
“We need to talk” he said.
“Right now?”
“Mm-hmm, right now” he said as he took hold of her hand and pulled her into the elevator which whisk them to the hospital roof top.
“What do you want to say?” She asked.
“I love you” he said without hesitation making Whitney loss for words.
“I know it’s a bit surprising for you since have always told you that I don’t love you but the truth is that I really do love you. I had to be with Mary due to some reasons which I intend to explain in time but I had to let you know that I love you before I lose you for good” he said.
“Romeo I…” She stop talking when he suddenly pulled her into his arms.
“Don’t reject me Whitney. I know am confessing a bit too late but then….give me a chance to show you how much I love you” he said trying to convince her but Whitney’s mind has been made already.
She pulled out of his arms and move away from him.
“Am sorry Romeo but I love Logan now. I waited for you, I waited and hoped that some day you will notice my feeling and I even agreed to do some crazy things just to make you notice my affection for you but then Logan came into my life and I fell for him” she said truthfully.
“So there’s no hope for me in your life?” Romeo asked which got her nodding.
“I hope you get to find a girl who will give you all the love you deserve cause am not that girl” she said and taking hold of his hand, she gave it a tight squeeze.
“But I still hope that we can be friends. I would really love that” she added and with that said, she went back to the elevator leaving Romeo there.

As soon as Whitney got to her floor, she got a text from Logan and she was about to send a reply when some one suddenly grab her hair from behind.
“You bitch! You boyfriend stealer!” Mary yelled as she held onto her hair.
“Let go of me and talk!” Whitney said as she tried to pull Mary hand off her hair and by now they had gotten everyone attention.
“I won’t! This will teach you a warning not to go after my man!” Mary said tightening her hold on Whitney’s hair.
Feeling angry herself, she put her phone in her pocket and taking hold of Mary hand, she twisted it which got Mary screaming out in pain.
“Have told you not to mess with me and I mean it ” Whitney said while she kept screaming out in pain.
“Let go of me!” Mary screamed out.
“Unlike you I don’t cause trouble and so am letting you go but if I cross path with you through the rest of today, I promise that I will make you pay” Whitney said before pushing her off.
Whitney head to the stairs and on seeing that, Mary went after her and push her while also losing balance.
The both of them rolled down the stairs and while Mary lost conciousness Immediately, Whitney could feel her chest hurting a lot.
She had hit it against the wall that it made her feel intense pain and the last thing she saw before losing conciousness was Romeo running towards them.

Logan rushed into the hospital and after getting the information he needed from the hospital desk, he went in search of her ward.
As soon as he got to her ward, he saw her seated on the bed while she talked with Elizabeth.
A relieved sigh escape his lips when he saw her.
When he got the call about her earlier his heart had almost left his chest and he had dropped every thing just to come see her and seeing her right now made him feel so relieved.
She was smiling at what Elizabeth was saying to her when she noticed him at the door way.
“Oh! Logan” she called and immediately Logan walk into the room and gave her a tight hug.
“This is where I take my leave” Elizabeth said as she left the two love birds alone.
“How are you? Is every thing okay? No problem with your heart right and….”
“One question at a time Logan” she said as she let out a chuckle.
“Am sorry, have just been worried” he said as he took hold of her hand and kissed it gently.
“Am fine, I only fell down the stairs which is far better than anybody else who is in this hospital” she said wanting him to laugh but it didn’t work.
“It’s okay to go home right?” Logan asked and that got her nodding.
“Then it’s best we leave”
“But….”
“I will sign every paper necessary for your absence but right now I need to have you where I can watch you to know you are safe” Logan said before leaving her room to get her discharge.

“You are finally up” Luther said as he stared at his daughter who had a bandage wrapped over her head.
“What happen?” Mary asked as she tried sitting up with the help of her dad.
“You fell off the stairs while having a fight with one of the student doctors”
“Is she okay?” Mary asked.
“What do you think? Why on earth did you have a fight with her?”
“I only wanted to warn her to stay away from Romeo. Hope I didn’t hurt her badly?” Mary said.
“You didn’t. She’s fine and right now she’s being discharged. I don’t know why you have to fight for a guy like Romeo. Shouldn’t you be glad that he’s out of your life?”
“Why should I be when he’s the man I love” Mary said with tears in her eyes.
“Love? But you told me that you don’t feel that way towards him”
“That’s a lie dad. Am truly in love with Romeo and if I lose him, am going to die” she said as she burst into tears while her father held her to himself.

~LOGAN’S APARTMENT ~
“Is this comfortable enough for you?” Logan asked as he joined Whitney on the bed.
“More better” Whitney answered as she tightened her hold on his waist.
“You were scared when you got the news of my fall right?” She said after a while.
“It felt like a night mare. Have been through it once and I don’t want to go through it again” he muttered.
“Am sorry for making you relieve your past memory. From now on, I promise to stay strong for you and also to keep you from worrying” she vowed softly.
Taking hold of her chin, he made her look at him.
“You don’t have to apologise and also don’t stay strong for me alone, stay strong for yourself too. You’ve got a lot to live for” he said as a smile escape his lips.
Whitney couldn’t help but to fall for that smile and taking the initiative, she pulled his head down and gave him a deep kiss.
They kissed for a long time and when they both pulled away to stare at each other, they were gasping for air.
“You sure you wanna do this?” Logan asked and she bit her lips before giving a nod.
Immediately, Logan pine her on the bed and gave her another kiss, a kiss which led the two of them to pulling off each other clothes and making sweet passionate love to each other.
Whitney woke up the next day feeling exhilarated. Thanks to Logan who had kept asking for more, she couldn’t get enough sleep.
She push back the sheets and wanted to get off the bed when her heart began to hurt again.
Seating back on the bed, she held onto her chest while praying that the pain would stop when Logan pulled her back into the bed.
“And where are you going?” Logan asked and she had to fake a smile so he wouldn’t notice the pain she was in.
“Just wanted to use the bathroom”
“I also want to do the same so instead of waiting for one of us to finish, why don’t we just use it together ” he suggested and in one swift move, he carried her into his arms and led her to the bathroom..

~ BRIGHAM HOSPITAL~
“As soon as you are done, call me and I will come get you” Logan yelled at her and she nodded before waving him off.
As soon as his car was out of sight, the fake smile she had on disappeared to one of pain.
Clutching her chest once again, she tried to go into the hospital only to fall on the floor losing conciousness.
