Eyes glowing darkly in rage, fists clenching ha-rd in a tight knot, Ace stared at Axel with nothing but anger de-ep inside him.
Axel staggered a bit as a result of the sudden action, he wiped his li-ps with his hand before staring up at Ace.
“How could you do this to me? You knew I love her, yet you decided to stab me right in the back?!” Ace yelled, veins popping on his neck as a result of the anger in him.
“I love her,” Axel muttered gently.
“What?” Ace’s eyes dilated in shock.
“I love her so much, and I’m never giving up on her just because of you!”
“You bastard!” Ace growled, rushing to Axel. This time around a heavy punch har-der than the first landed on Axel’s face.
His li-ps bled and he spat out blood instantly.
“Axel!!!” Melanie screamed, rushing to him.
She faced Ace, glaring at him maliciously.
In a fit of rage, her hands raised up in the air and struck his face hard.
Ace’s mouth flew open in shock instantly.
“Melanie!”
“Who you you think you are to lay your hands on him? Who do you think you are?!” She yelled.
“Betrayal, you say? Who’s the betrayal here? You fuc-k ing betrayed me and turned my best friend’s back against me!”
“When you dumped me on the road even when it was raining heavily, he was there for me! Every night when I shed tears of heartbreak, he was there for me! The night you shattered my heart into pieces, he was there to mend it back!!”
“Who do you think you are to refer him as a Betrayal?!!!” Melanie screamed angrily.
“That’s because he’s a traitor! He knew of my feelings for you and yet he went ahead to tell you trash too?” Ace fired.
“He’s nothing but a traitor! A betrayal!” Ace yelled, rushing to Axel.
This time, Axel retaliated before Ace’s hands could get to him.
Immediately Axel landed on punch on Ace’s nose, it broke immediately.
“I told you I won’t let it go the next time your hand touches my face” he growled lowly.
“I know I was at fault for falling in love with her, but don’t I deserve to love too? Because she’s your ex, that means I can’t love her too??”.
“For fuc-k ing sake, this was the same girl whom you cheated on with her best friend! You broke her and you never seemed to care, you still went ahead and did shitty things behind her back, and you think you deserve her?” Axel shouted.
“That’s it. I can’t take this anymore, I can’t be friends with a guy who chose to betray me, I can’t.”
“Let’s end it here, this fuc-k ing relationship. This so called friendship, let’s end it here. Don’t ever show up in front of me or I’m gonna kill you then,” Ace said angrily.
His eyes went to Melanie’s hand which was around Axel, he clenched his jaw before leaving the place in anger.
Immediately he was gone, Melanie faced Axel. Her hands touched his li-ps which was bloody and she smiled sadly.
“I’m sorry,” she whispered.
“I love you,” Axel muttered instead.
Melanie hits his arm before breaking down in tears.
“I don’t want this… I don’t want to be the one who’s going to destroy the friendship you’ve been building for years, I don’t,” she sobbed.
“It’s not your fault, Mel. It’s just destined to be and don’t ever think I’m gonna stop loving you because of this, it’s never happening. I love you no matter what, Bae,” Axel said gently.
Melanie shook her head before throwing herself to his arms, crying against his chest.
This was her fears, two friends turning to enemies all because of her. She don’t think she can handle it and the best thing is to stay away from him… Axel.

A4’S SUITE***
Axel entered the suite to find his friends present, Ace was absent. Aaron and Aiden were the one who called to meet up.
“Is that true?” Aiden was the one who spoke out.
“I love her,” Axel muttered almost immediately.
Aaron sighed. The fact that he admitted it so easily shows how much he’s in love with her… Melanie.
“And you think that’s the right thing?” Aiden asked, almost raising his voice.
“Why? Because she’s Ace’s ex, he can’t fall in love with her?” Aaron bu-tted in.
“I know you’re gonna take his side because he’s your best friend, but this is very wrong! It wasn’t no one else but Melanie?” Aiden said.
Ace came out of his room at that time. His eyes darkened when he saw Axel present in the house.
“What’s he doing here?” He asked.
“What do mean? This is his house too,” Aaron said.
Ace scoffed.
“Really? Then, I’m moving out, I can’t stand his face anymore. He disgusts me,” Ace left the house.
“I’m so disappointed in you, Axel. You are better than this, I never knew you could act this way,” Aiden stood up.
“You’re leaving too?” Aaron asked, staring at Aiden.
“I can’t stay here with him, what he did was uncalled for. He broke the bro codes, gosh,” Aiden shook his head and left the place too.
“Are you gonna leave too?” Axel asked in a broken voice.
“That’s if I’m wishing for death, we’re stuck together forever, buddy” Aaron said.
“I can’t give up on her, Aaron. I love her, so damn much,” Axel whispered, a single tear escaping his cheek.
Aaron went to him and held his shoulder.
“It’s okay, they’ll come around, trust me. Just give them a little time,” he said.
Axel sniffed. One thing he had never imagined was their friendship falling apart right in front of him.

“You don’t look so well, are you alright?” Lauren asked Melanie whose eyes were shut tightly.
“Annie, is anything wrong?” Paisley asked.
Melanie’s eyes flew open, she sprang up immediately.
“I’ll be back,” she said and left.
“Lanie!”
“Annie!” Paisley and Lauren called at once.
They glanced at each other and scoffed before looking away.

Axel received a message from Melanie telling him to meet up in the school parking lot.
He arrived and met her already waiting. He smiled shortly before walking to her.
At least, he still has a reason to smile.
“Bae,” he called slowly.
Melanie turned to him, trying her possible best to avoid his eyes.
“I’ve thought much about this, and… Staying away will be the best thing”
“Let’s stay away from each other, Axel. I don’t want to cause a fight between you and your friends, I don’t want you two becoming enemies all because of me. Let’s do this please” Melanie said.
Axel was too stunned to react. She was asking to stay away from her??
His eyes cleared when he saw her walking away. He quickly rushed to her and hug-ged her from the back, his hands resting on her b**bs, but his mind wasn’t there at all.
“I can’t do that, Mel. I’m gonna die if I do so. I’ll settle this, I’m talk to him, just don’t stay away please,” Axel said brokenly. His voice was torn, his heart was tearing apart slowly.
“Axel… Please,” Melanie’s li-ps trembled as tears trickled down her cheeks.
Axel sniffed and tears rolled down his cheeks, dampening her shoulder. She was all he needed at the moment. His parents left him, his friends left him, she was the only cause of his happiness and she asking to stay away…
“Please,” he whispered in tears.
Melanie slowly moved away from him and walked away, not casting a glance at him nor saying a word.
Staring at her back view, Axel’s heart shattered and he felt happiness leaving his life slowly.
“Melanie,” he whispered in tears.
