Sharon woke up to find her self in a room, an unfamiliar one at that and she sat up immediately.
Judging by the expensive stuff in the room, you could tell that the house itself is an expensive one.
Where was she? The last thing she remembered was being taken by two men and then the rest is all a blank……her thoughts stopped running when the door opened and three ladies walked in.
“Who are you?”Sharon asked
“We have been asked to Wait on you miss”One of them replied
“What do you mean by wait on me? Who asked you to do that?”She asked again
“We aren’t allowed to tell you that what we were told to do is to get you ready for tonight” The maid replied again
“I can’t believe this? Just who are you and what is happening tonight? “Sharon asked as she got out of bed.
“You don’t have to know!”The maid replied giving the other two a look and immediately they walked towards Sharon pulling off her uniform and pushing her into the bathroom.
A while later, Sharon sat starring at her self in the mirror.
She looked different, with her hair styled up and dressed in a black satin gown, she look very beautiful.
The room was empty, well apart from her who was still there , the maid had left when they finished her dress up, she was still wondering who brou-ght her here for-cefully when there was a soft knock on the door.
The door opened and Louis walked into the room, he looked sleek and stylish in his black suit and very very handsome too.
“You!”Sharon yelled out angrily when she saw that the guy who had took 3 for-cefully is none other than Louis.
Louis stood taken aback for a while, he didn’t realise that Sharon was this beautiful.
“Why did you bring me here or no let me rephrase that word, why the hell did you kidnap me?”She asked looking fierce and very beautiful.
“I didn’t kidnap you Sharon, I only asked my guards to bring you to my home”He said
“Your home…..if we at your house does that mean that am at the…….”
“The palace, yes you are at the palace right now”
“But why? Why did you bring me here”She asked
“To help me out with some thing”He said as he began to move towards her.
Sharon began to move back putting her hands out, trying to fend him off but her action only made him laugh.
She found her self trapped and there was no way she was going to move because Louis was now standing close to her.
“Look I know that I made a mistake that day, I should never have mess with you, am sorry and so please accept my apology and let me go”She said starring at him
“No!”
“No?”She replied starring at him.
“If you want me to forgive you, you will have to do some thing for me”He said softly
“What do you want me to do?”She asked
“Pretend to be my prospective bride”He said softly
“But….that’s not some thing that can be done easily, Mary told me that you find your prospective bride by using your ring,so how can I possibly act like one”She said
“Leave all that to me Sharon, all you have to do is to go in there and try to convince my father that you are truly my other half”He said
“This is crazy! I can’t do this! I can’t lie to your father and what if you get to find your prospective bride, won’t he be angry that you had fooled him by using me?”Sharon said
“People like the first stud and you are destined not to ever have their other half” what Sharon said made Louis remember what his grand mother had said to him earlier.
He isn’t destined to have his other wife and if his father was to learn of that, he will be thrown off the throne and that is some thing he doesn’t want.
“He won’t! cause he won’t ever find out. Look I had brou-ght you here only for that reason…..”
“Why me? There are others who would have love to do it, take Nina for example, she is head over heels for you! “Sharon said
“And are you head over heels for me?”Louis asked
“Of course not!”Sharon replied quickly putting up a face at the mere thought of falling head over heels for Louis.
“See! You are different, if I had chosen Nina to play the part, she would have done more than what I expect and she would have wanted me to do more for her but you….you hate me and let’s just say that if you do this for me, I will leave you alone just as you want”He said
“You will?”Sharon asked
“Yes I will leave you alone ….you are scared of me right?”He asked softly and she stared at him wondering if she was really scared of him or if it was some thing else.
“Well you won’t have to worry about that any more, just pretend to be my prospective bride and as soon as the sun rises tomorrow, I will be out of your life”He said hoping that she would accept his request.
“You will really stay away from me once I accept to do this?”She asked and he nodded again
“Fine then,I will pretend and it’s just for tonight, as soon as the sun rises tomorrow,I will like you to stick to your word” she said and he nodded again.
“So….”Sharon said waiting for him to move away, she didn’t know how it happened but some how he had moved very close to her.
“So what?”He asked gently moving her fringe out of her eyes not bothering to move away as she requested.
“Aren’t we going to leave now?” She said and he nodded and taking hold of her hand, he wore a blue ring on her finger
“Ahhh…I forgot that I don’t possess one”She said starring at the ring.
“Have forgotten that am a little different from the people here, I don’t possess a ring “She added
“Would you like to be a part of us, would you like to wear a ring like every one else?” Louis asked
“No! This ring helps you find your other half, have often wondered how life will be for the two if they aren’t really in love, I would like to find a guy of my choice, some one i know will love me back just as I love him”she said wistfully.
He has often hated the ring and the prospective bride nonsense, he always wanted to pick some one he loves and who he knew loved him back but knowing that this is his life and also a tradition that have been going on for years, he had to cope with it and when his grand mother told him that he would never to be able to have his own prospective Bride, it made matter worse, he didn’t want to lose the throne and the only way to stay on it is by bringing back home his prospective bride.
Sharon is the only one who his ring have ever reacted to so far and even though her other half turned out to be Harvey, he wouldnt let them be together.
They might not be in love but he knew some other way to make her his and one of them is by introducing her to his father as his prospective bride.
With his father blessing intact, he will further on with his plan but first thing is first, he has to get Sharon to his father quickly, Harvey must not find out about this, he thought as he stared at the beautiful girl in front of him.
“No Louis, am fine with being different from you guys,so now shall we head to your father,I presume that you would have to wear a ring just like mine after all am not really your bride ?”Sharon said and he nodded.
If only she knew that I don’t have to wear another ring because by being close to her,of has changed already.
“I already bought a ring like yours, you don’t have to worry”Louis said and together they left the room heading to his father pavilion.
Mean while Harvey stayed waiting for Sharon to show up so they can go home together.
“Let’s just go home, Sharon has been long gone!”Jacob said to Harvey who still insist on waiting for her
“She might still be in”Harvey said
“Exactly what has gotten into you? You weren’t like this before, infact we all thought of that girl as some thing else, her blood will be really……”
“Shut up Jacob, Sharon is not some one you can touch, use the other students but do not dare touch Sharon”He said looking furious.
“Fine”Jacob replied as he stared at Harvey, wondering why he was being protective of her.
Just then Harvey got a call and as soon as he answered the call, he got very angry.
“Aren’t you going to wait for Sharon?”Jacob said but Harvey was no longer listening, he was already in his car.
