CHAPTER 21
✧ I’M SORRY…GOODBYE ✧
“I was wondering why the magical orb suddenly seems strong…even my power was no match for it…so this was it?” Rowan smirk.
“Even if I try to stop you…it’ll be useless right? Since you’ve already seems to made up your mind”
“Have you always known about this Vee? Well of course you would…you are physic after all”
“Yeah I did knew…right from the start”
“Then you must know…if I’m gonna succeed or not?” Rowan asked and she looks away.
“That…I don’t. Strangely, I can’t see that part”
“You can’t??” He eyed her.
“I’m warning you Rowan…don’t try to do anything stupid…I won’t just stand still” She cautioned.
“Keep your damn warnings to yourself…you should know better. Watch out Vee…cause I’m just getting started” He smiles before leaving with his hands pocketed.
Aviva releases a heavy breath she hasn’t noticed she has been holding in fisting her palms tightly at the same time.
HOSPITAL.
“Tell me doctor…am I…severely sick? Is it cancer or…a tumor?” Jason asked rather anxiously while the doctor hesitated.
He had actually came to the hospital to get a check up on what’s happening to him recently.
“You don’t need to feel reluctant about telling me the truth. I came here being prepared. I know whatever the result may be…it’ll be hard for me to accept…but with the sighs I’ve seen recently…I realized rather than being afraid it’s better…to face it head on before it gets too late. So whatever you may say to me right now…I’m definitely ready to hear it doc. So now tell me. Wht kind of an illness do I have? Is it very bad? Am I…dying soon?” He quipped closely while the doctor clears his throat.
Jason gulped down anticipating for his answer. Whatever it may be…he surely knows…it’ll be heartbreaking.
“Mr Jason…after conducting some tests and everything…the results says you’re…completely fine” The doctor announced while his brows knitted instantly. That wasn’t what he was expecting.
“Excuse me..”
“There’s nothing wrong with you Mr Jason…you’re not terminally sick or have any virus In your body. In fact…you’re healthy with no slight problem” The doctor replied calmly.
“What are you saying doctor? I’m not sick…how is that possible? Are you…are you sure you ain’t mistaken? Is the result switched? What you’re saying isn’t making any senses I clearly told you what has been happening to me these days. I feel pains all over my body it feels like I’m burning in fire and my chest. It tightens like it’s gonna rip apart any time soon…i…” He paused and scoffs.
“Am I going crazy or what?”
“Mr Jason how about this…instead of coming here why don’t you visit the psychiatric…I know of a doctor who can help you there”
“Wow…now you’re saying it to my face that I’m crazy”
“Your condition_”
“Stop!” He stood up.
“Thank you doctor…sorry for wasting your precious time” He started leaving.
“Mr Jason” The doctor called and he looks back.
“Keep my advice in mind” The doctor said while he just noddle before going out.
HOURS LATER.
Aviva couldn’t get Penny out of her mind ever since she saw her ran off earlier.
She couldn’t concentrate on her work and keep ruining things.
Her boss ultimately ask her to rest for the day seeing how pale she has become.
Aviva tried calling Penny whose line suddenly seems unavailable.
She eventually got to her room and was surprised to see Penny sitting on the floor. She was hugging her knees to herself and her face was also buried in her knees.
Aviva looks around the ground…pearls scattered everywhere. She must have cried an ocean.
“Penninah…” She calls carefully
Peninah looks up at her, her eyes looking puffy and horrible.
The redness in her eyes shows she really did cried a bucket.
“Penny…” She called again in a breaking voice. Her heart shattering to pieces as she trudge forward to her.
“Avi…what do I do now? What exactly am I to do now? I don’t know…please tell me…” Her solemn voice came accompanied with sorrow and bitterness.
“I’m so sorry…I’m so sorry penny…I’m sorry” Aviva snuggle her closer to her breaking down also.

“I should have known…everything comes with a price” Penny mutter sadly staring into space.
“I’m sorry…I can’t do anything for you Penny”
“No don’t be…I’m the greedy one…I should take responsibility for it. It’s only right like that.”
“What’s your decision?”
“My decision? No matter what decision I make…someone is still gonna get hurt right Avi?”
“Probably”
“Can you tell me…the story of the little mermaid?”
“You haven’t told me…how you found out about this”
“Avi you…have always known about this right? But you still didn’t say anything”
“I…I’m sorry but I couldn’t. I didn’t know how to say it to you”
“You sound have told me…then I’d have at least prepared myself a little. This came all of a sudden that…I’m torn on what to do”
“Do…you love him?”
“I do…very much”
“Penny…” Aviva held her hand.
“Avi…can you just tell me…about the story of the little mermaid?”
“Penny…?”
“Please I…really wanna know. Tell me Avi”
JASON’S HOUSE.
Peninah entered the house gently holding onto her crossbag.
The house was dark only the dim light coming from the window shone in.
She made to go to her room but then stopped when she spot an image.
“Jason…” She called softly going near the dining where he was seated. He was holding a glass which has some liquid in it.
He is obviously drinking.
“Jason…” She called again on getting to him now.
“Hey…you’re back” he said solemnly not raising his head up to her.
“Are you okay?”
“Huh” He replied larconically while Penny raised up his face.
“Are you angry…at me?” She asked staring at him while he only smiles in return.
“A little…it’s must be something important”
“I’m sorry for leaving like that young man”
“Did you sort it out?” He asked and she nodded slowly.
“Is everything alright young man?” She quizzed while he only put his arms around her waist pulling her closer. He rests his head on her stomach and closes his eyes.
“I just miss you…that’s all”
“You have to learn how to live without me young man…I won’t be there for you everytime” she said stroking his hair.
“That should be directed to you…I know you can’t live without me” He mumbles while she kept quiet. After a while, she pulled out and collects the glass from him dropping it on the table.
She got on him slowly and sat straddled on his lap with her hands around his neck encircling it. Jason only stares holding her waist as she did this.
“I…never regretted meeting you Jason…you have to remember that at all times” She said to him.
“And I’m always so happy…being with you. So far you’re the happiest thing…that has happened to me” She added bringing her palms slowly to his face.
“You mustn’t forget me young man…” She said and before he could reply she places her lips on his.
Reciprocating back, Jason lets her take the lead. Their tongues started swiping with each other and his arms around her tightens as he feels the warmth of the kiss.
After minutes of deep kiss, she unlock and looks at him likewise him. With their eyes not averting she slowly brought her hands behind her and zip down her dress.
She wasn’t wearing anything else beneath so her b**bs came into view as she pull them off her shoulders and it went down straight to her waist.
“I can never forget you Penny…never” His voice came out softly while she nodded. He brought his hand to her face and pulls her into another kiss. This time it was crazy and sloppy. He stood up lifting her up in the process also. Penny’s hands unbutton his buttons as he carried her upstairs.

Calling for the umpteen time, Margaret groans when Penny wouldn’t pick up her calls.
“You’re gonna avoid me uh? You’re making a big mistake girl…I’m gonna show you…what a human is capable of” She grits pressed on the door bell.
Stomping her feet impatiently she waited for the door to open but it won’t.
When she couldn’t wait anymore she decided to open the door and went in herself.
“Why is it so dark?” She thought turning on the light.
“Is he not at home? But his car is outside” She thought again dialing Jason’s line which started ringing in the dining.
“What the…he is at home” She end the call and started going upstairs but then halted she spotted his shirt on the floor.
Slowly, she bent picking it up and peering at it.
“Why is this here?” She thought out loud ascending the stairs but then halt again when she started hearing some sounds.
Her grip on the shirt tightens as she walks closer to the door hoping it’s not what she’s thinking.
But who is she kidding? She knows clearly well it is and her suspicious was confirmed when she opens the door surreptitiously taking a peek. Instantly her anger rise and her body started shaking. But she composed herself and turns away leaving.
Penny’s moans and Jason’s groans fills the whole room as they pleasure themselves.
His lips travels from her mouth to her earlobe and it stays there while Penny clung unto him vehemently.
“I’m sorry…Jason” She apologized within but somehow Jason seems to hear that.
He brought his eyes to her and she smiles at him.
“Penny…” He called but Penny smashes her lips on his before he could say another thing.
Jason intertwined their fingers also as he thrusts in and out of her. His lips leaving hers it started placing wet kisses all over her body while she moans out in ecstasy.
NEXT MORNING.
“Weirdo….weirdo is that you?” Jason asked closely looking at the figure inside the water.
“What is that?” He quizzed looking at a particular thing which was shining so brightly.
“Weirdo…what is that? Weirdo…weirdo?” He called but suddenly, she looks back.
“AHHH!!!” He yelled terrified sitting up the bed.
His eyes roamed about the room panting hard at the same time.
Grudgingly, he sat up the bed wiping away the sweats on his forehead.
“What is that? Really” he mutters trying to remember what he saw in that dream of his. He has been having the same dream for the past week now which always scares him back to reality. But the dream…he can’t make out the end which seems to be the important part of it.
Groaning, he ran his hand through his hair and look beside him. Penny wasn’t there but instead he saw some pearls on the bed.
“This again? What’s really going on?” He thought getting down from the bed.
He wore his pants and went towards the door but then something suddenly came to his mind.
“I’m sorry…” Her voice rang in his ear but he just decided to wave it off.
“Weirdo! Weirdo!! Penny where are you!!” He called looking everywhere the house for her from her room to the living room but there wasn’t any sighs of her
“Where is she now?” He groans ruffling his hair and then his eyes caught the dining room.
“You mustn’t forget me young man…” Her voice rang in his ears again.
“No…” He mutters taking his phone which was on the dining table. He dialled her number and he could hear her phone ringing upstairs.
In a swift, he ran back upstairs hurriedly only to find her phone on the table beside the bed.
“Penny…” He mutters his legs going weak as everything started coming back to him.
“Where are you going?” He could remember asking her some hours ago as she got down from the bed.
“Why did you wake up? Sleep more” She said back
“Are you going somewhere?”
“No…I’ll always be here with you Jason always remember that” She said and he smiles closing his eyes back.
“I won’t forget you so…keep your promise and never forget me too young man. I’m so sorry and…I love you” She kissed his forehead and got away from the bed.
“Goodbye…Jason” Was her last words before leaving the room and probably his life also.
“No…no…” Jason shakes his head after remembering everything.
“It’s probably a dream it’s just…”He held his mouth as he choke on his word.
“Weirdo will never leave me…she can’t…she can never…” He whimpers dashing out of the room.
MARGARET’S RESIDENCE.
So…”
“I love young man so much…I can’t let him die” Penny said to Margaret who stood with folded arms watching her.
“Love my foot! What would a lowly monster like you know about love?” She scoffs.
“I’ll disappear from his life instead…forever” She said again staring blankly with no emotions on.
She had actually came to Margaret’s place after she left Jason.
She probably can’t risk him finding out and she had to make her decision also.
“So…will you die instead, like the little mermaid?” Margaret smirk while Penny gave her a blank look.
“How dare you stare at me like that”
“I’ll leave Margaret…you’ll never see me again I promise” She said while Margaret thinks for a while.
“No wait! You can’t” She said abruptly while Penny raised a brow.
“No…I won’t let you. You…i haven’t decided what to do with you yet and you can’t expect me to let you go just like that. So while I’m still thinking…you stay here with me and don’t think of trying anything funny…I won’t let you” She warns.
“Just let me go Mag…I I don’t have much time left anyway so why keep me?”
“You once told me to give you two weeks right?”
“I only have a week now”
“Oh really?”
“Just let me go please”
“No way! You…until I decide what to do with you don’t even think of it” She glare at her before dashing to her room. Penny sighs and rubs her temple.
“I’ve to see the water goddess” She mumbles.

“Who the fudge is that!” Rowan groans going to the door which wouldn’t stop banging.
He opens the door and Jason rushed in immediately.
“PENNY!! PENNY WHERE ARE YOU COME OUT!! PENNY!!” He started calling going around the house while Rowan went after him stopping him.
“Hey man what are you doing!” He asked holding him back while Jason snapped his hand away.
“PENNY!! WEIRDO COME OUT!.” He continues calling. Rowan now getting annoyed drew him back and gave him a punch on the face. Jason fell to the floor since he was taken unannounced.
“Listen you can’t just barge in here and do as you like this is my f**king house!!” He groans while Jason got up locking him by his shirt.
“Where did you keep her? Where are you hiding Penny!” He gruffs
“What are you saying I have no idea why would she be with me!” Rowan pushed him away.
Jason got up and went back at him.
“Just give her to me while I’m being nice right now” He raved while Rowan gave him another punch.
“Ah!” He groans touching his lips. Jason made to attack him back but somehow Rowan was faster giving him another punch in the stomach this time.
“Ahh…” He fell with a thud on the floor his lips already busted.
Rowan’s eyes darken and he moves closer to him on the floor kicking him furiously without stopping.
Jason eventually started coughing out blood and Rowan shift back carrying the vacuum cleaner which was nearby. He was about hitting him with it but then stopped midway when he remembered something. He sighs and dropped the vacuum cleaner on the floor.
He moves closer and squatted before him.
“Listen well…I don’t know where your girlfriend is and I won’t condole you coming here and causing a scene. So now get out before I get mad” He said while Jason faces him. Before Rowan could say jack, Jason spat out blood on his face.
“The f*_” he made to hit him but Jason was faster this time giving him a heavy punch on the face. Rowan fell to the floor grunting and Jason stood up.
“Let her go if you have her or else…I won’t let you get away” He pants getting out of the house while Rowan pick himself up.
“F**K!!” he groans kicking the vacuum cleaner away. With fisted palms he made to go after him but a voice made him stop.
“President?” Mag came out of a hiding. She had actually watched everything that transpires between him and Jason. She was covering herself with a towel which shows something happened between them.
“How could you hurt him like that?” She questioned looking clearly angry. Rowan turns to her and she gasped on how scary he looks.
Swiftly, Rowan raced to her grabbing her neck.
She gasps for breath holding his hand as he raised her up by her neck. Her towel came lose instantly leaving her stark naked.
“You don’t dare interfere in my matter…have I been too lenient on you recently?” He asked in an intimidating voice while she shakes her head vehemently.
“Just focus on what you are to do. The concert is in three days if you mess it up…I might really kill you understand?” He warns while she nodded repeatedly hitting his hand on her neck. Rowan releases her and she dropped to the floor coughing.
“Get out!” He ordered going to his room.
Mag’s eyes was already red, she coughs repeatedly on the floor crying at the same time.
“He’s…a monster” She mutters.
