CHAPTER 19
✧ YOU’RE MY EVERY MOMENT✧
Everywhere was dark and the atmosphere seems eerie.
Taking slow steps…he walks towards the light which was emitting afar. He keeps walking and walking…till he got closer.
“Weirdo….weirdo is that you?” He asked closely looking at the figure inside the water.
“What is that?” He quizzed looking at the particular thing which was shining so brightly.
“Weirdo…what is that? Weirdo…weirdo?” He called but suddenly, she looks back.
“AHHH!!!” He yelled terrified sitting up the bed. He looks around panting hard just to find himself in his room.
He clean off the sweats which drip down his face still breathing hard.
“What…a dream?” He thought. He was about getting down but then his eyes caught something.
“What is this doing here?” He mutters looking at the pearls on the bed. Picking one, he looks at it closely.

Jason opens the door slowly and silently only to see her sleeping soundly on the bed.
He smiles and decides not to disturb her. He closes the door back making sure not to wake her up and head downstairs.
LATER.
“Young man…” Penny called slowly descending the stairs.
She perceive some aroma and assumed he must be cooking. Getting downstairs, she met him really cooking in the kitchen.
For a while she stood there watching him as he hums happily to himself.
Jason felt the warmth of hands around him and looks back to see Penny.
He smiles and removed the airpod in his ears.
“You’re up…” He said.
“You’re okay…that’s a relief…it’s really a relief…” Penny mutters with her arms around him tightly. Jason took her hand and spun her around making her face him. Holding her hands with one of his hands he placed the other on her face.
“Grandpa wants me to leave” He says while Penny’s expression changed instantly.
“You…are leaving?” She asked almost inaudibly while he says nothing.
Peninah scoffs looking away.
“Apparently he wants me to start a new life in the states…he doesn’t want me around…a lady with no source. He’s afraid…I might lose focus in life” He says again.
With her heart been shattered to pieces with what he just said, she slowly removed her hands from his.
“So you’re leaving” She mutters getting away from him.
“When?” Her voice came out low.
“Tomorrow the soonest” He replied while penny almost lost her balance.
Jason quickly held her but she snaps his hand away holding the kitchen counter instead.
“What…” She gulps.
“What about me then?”
“You’ll probably go back…to where you came from” He said shattering her more while she closes her eyes.
“Young man I…” She fists her palms on the counter.
“You look pale…are you okay?”Jason asked while she only gulps down her spit.
“Must…you leave?” She asked in a breaking voice while jason sighs.
“Apparently I have to…it’s for my future”
“Then…young man” She faces him.
“Can you…can you stay a while please?” She beseech while Jason furrows his brows.
“A month…no…” She gulp again.
“Two weeks…even if you are going to leave can you please…leave after two weeks?” She held his hands.
“I…wasn’t expecting this and I was not prepared. I still have some…” She paused and tries to control her tears.
“Can’t you just stay with me for two weeks? Uh young man? Stay with me till then please…” She pleaded with watered eyes while Jason just stares at her.
“Young man…” She called impatiently while Jason cli-ck his tongue.
“Wow…weirdo you…I’m really disappointed in you” He said making her creased her brows.
“Two weeks? You only need two weeks? That’s all you’re gonna ask me? To give you two weeks?” He said clearly annoyed.
“Young man…” He snapped his hands away from hers rubbing his jaw.
“I never expected that from you. I was expecting you to hold onto me till the very end…since that’s what I’m obviously gonna for with you but…you only need just two weeks? You’re not prepared? I’m disappointed in you seriously”
“Jason…” She made to touch him but he stops her.
“I’m angry at you right now”
“I’m…I’m sorry…”
“Do you think…did you really think I’ll leave you alone? You thought I was ever gonna leave you? Hey if I could do that then you wouldn’t be with me by now I would have done that since the first time I met you! You wouldn’t be with me now!! How could you…give up on me so easily? How could you…?” He lash out while penny only whimper silently.
“I love you!” Her shaky voice boomed out.
“I love you Young man…I love you so so so much that I was scared. I…I don’t wanna lose you but…what do I do if there’s nothing I can do to make you stay with me? What can I do if I have no power to keep you by my side? I have absolutely no power…to keep you even if you wanna leave…I’m scared….I might really lose you.”
“You should have at least held on me until the very end. Is this where your love amount to? Is this how feeble it is? That you let go easily? You always ramble about how you’ll never leave and stay glued to me forever…you said you had no one else but in the end…this is everything?…it’s really so disappointing…I don’t wanna see you for a while” he turned off the cooker and left her in the kitchen.
“Young man…” Penny slump to her knees as thick tears ran down her face slowly turning into pearls as they reach for the floor.
She stayed there whimpering for a while until she suddenly felt a presence. He dropped to a squat before her enveloping her in his arms.
“Do…you really think I could do that? Given the time we’ve spent together…you really thought I would give up on you so easily? If I was going to I wouldn’t have started anything in the first place weirdo…I can never give you up…I thought you knew that by now” He said while she burst out crying in his arms.
“I’m sorry…I’m so sorry Young man…I’m really really sorry…”
Jason disengaged and held her face.
“Listen…no matter what may happen…weirdo… You’ve become someone forbidden for me to leave…at first I thought you were weird and crazy….and it’s true you indeed were but…as time goes by I realized…that’s really what draw me to you…I can never let you go I wish you’d know that…never alright?” He said and she nodded. He pulled her back into his arms.
“Don’t disappoint me again…to me you’re more than just two weeks….you’re my every moment. I hope you know that…Peninah”

Jason was about to serve the food when his eyes spots some pearls on the floor.
He squatted and pick one up looking at it.
“This again?” He mutters then take his gaze to Penny who was sitting at the dining.
Penny saw him and beams waving at him.
He keeps the pearl in his pocket and waves at her back smiling. He then stood up and took the food joining her at the dining.
“Here comes your dishes prepared by the best chef ever” Jason serves the food while she claps.
“Umm…this smells so good Young man”
“Of course…what do you expect? It’s not like I’m bragging or something but I’ve been cooking ever since I was ten…I’m pretty much a chef now” He bragged.
“What is a chef Young man?” Penny asked.
“Ohh…it’s someone who is extraordinary perfect in cooking…just like me” He boasted.
“Oh really! Then you’re a psycho chef Young man”
“Oh…haven’t heard that word in a while…okay…today I’ll be your psycho…eat up” He says while she nodded picking up the spoon.
“But are you okay? You look pale” He asked touching her forehead.
“If feels so cool…how strange” He says and took his eyes to her. He furrows his brows when he could see her eyeballs changing its color to blue
“Uh?” He creased his brows while Penny quickly took his hand away.
“I’m okay…it must be because I cried earlier. I’m perfectly fine young man” She smiles.
“Oh…you sure?” He withdraw taking his seat.
“Of course Young man…you really scared me earlier”
“I was gonna test you and you…failed woefully”
“Young man…” She pouted.
“I’m gonna punish you later but first…eat. I made all these for you” He smiles while she chuckles.
“They look delicious…hmmm” She took in the aroma
“As expected…you’re the best!” She gave him thumbs up grinning while Jason mussed up her hair.
“Eat” He says and she nodded.
“Young man’s food is the best…my mouth feels numb and I can’t feel my tongue anymore” She said as she took a spoonful of the fried rice.
“Is it that tasty?” He asked tasting it.
“Hm” His face turned sour immediately.
“It’s salty…don’t eat it. Let’s just eat out”
“No Young man…I like it. Since you made it for me then I’m gonna eat it all” She started scooping the rice in her mouth.
“You’ll get sick…hey…” He sighs.
Peninah continues eating the food while he watches her. His face dissolves in a warm smile.
“How can you be so sweet and cute at the same time uh?” He mutters while she grins.
“How can you be so charming and cool at the same time uh?” Penny said back.
“Wow…I like that weirdo!” He claps his hands while Penny chuckles.
“I like you too”
“I thought you said you loved me…earlier?””
“I like you and love you more” She winks while Jason feigned shock.
“You’re becoming cheesy by the day…tell me who’s teaching you all these?”
“Secret” She stuck her tongue out before continuing eating.
“Ouiii…cute you” Jason beams mussing up her hair.
AVIVA’S HOUSE.
“She gave you these?” Aviva asked looking at the bottles of drink.
“Um…I don’t really understand her. I mean why would I want to give up. That is nonsense” Penny grutch.
“There must be a reason…why she did that”
“Avi…you seems to know it. What is it?”
“Uh? Ummm….do you have a reason to give up?”
“What are you saying? I came this far to become human why would I give up now” she frowns while Aviva smiles.
“Then that’s it. As long as you don’t have any reason to…then you don’t have to”
Penny sighs.
“This is really confusing”
“Is Jason doing alright?”
“Uh? Ummm….he is…” She replied hesitantly.
“And you?”
“Of course I’m doing fine…can’t you see?”
“The drink…when are you taking it?”
“I don’t know yet…i wanna wait a little”
“Really…that’s good too”
“Wow…I can’t believe I’ll finally become human…I’m so happy” She slump on the bed.
“You like being human that much?”
“Of course…I’ll get to spend the rest of my life with young man” She chuckles.
“Penny?”
“Uh?”
“Umm….it’s…it’s nothing. I’m just happy for you” Aviva said while she smiles.
“I’m happy too”
“Penny?” Aviva called while Penny looks at her.
“Uh?” She answered.
“Can you promise me something?”
“What is that?” She sat up back.
“That no matter what happens…you won’t trust anyone. Remember not everyone who smiles at you is really your friend. Some may just be after something. No body is trustworthy…you have to promise me you’ll be careful everytime.”
“Then…I shouldn’t be trusting you on what you’re saying right now”
“What?”
“You said I shouldn’t trust anyone…so how can I trust you Aviva?”
“I…”
Penny burst into laughter confusing Aviva.
“Look at your face…I was just joking…of course even if I don’t trust anyone I trust you Aviva…more than anyone else. I told you…I feel at peace whenever you’re with me. Strangely I feel…we’re somehow connected” She said while Aviva heaves a sigh of relief.
“Don’t worry…I promise you to always be careful…I know you’re worried about me…you can trust me on that too” She said while Aviva smiles.

“PIPIPI” A car horn after Penny getting her attention.
“Oh! Handsome man hi!” She beams waving to Rowan who was in the car.
Rowan smiles getting down from the car.
“Beautiful lady…it’s been a while” He smiles warmly at her while she chuckles.
“You totally forgot about me didn’t you?”
“Well…a little” Penny replied.
“Oh wow…I’m annoyed” Rowan joked while she laughs.
“Are you on your way home?” He asked while she nodded.
“Umm…I’ll like to take you somewhere…you don’t mind coming with me for a while uh?”
“Uhhh…” Penny hesitate itching her hair.
“Oh come on…just wanna show you something. You could count this as making up for my offer which you refused. I’m still sad over that you know” He said.
“Right? Alright handsome man. Let’s go”
“Shall we?” He opens the door for her while she got in.
Immediately she got into the car, she brought out her phone and called Jason.
“I promise not to be long…handsome man just wanna show me something…uh… You’ll come pick me up later? Alright young man” She grins and end the call.
“I assume that’s Jason?” Rowan said while she nodded.
“You two seems really close…I’m envious” Rowan said while she chuckles.
FILM SITE
“So this is our location for filming…what do you think?”
“Wow…there are so many people here. And so many strange things also” She said looking around while Rowan chuckles.
“Come on…let’s go” He started walking away while she follows him.

Margaret walks around solemnly by the pool side. She had a devastating look on. One could tell she was dejected. She bent on her knees dipping her hand slowly into the water.
“How could you do that…? What am I supposed to do without you now? How am I supposed to live on…without you?” She said sadly as ball of tears rolled down her face.
“CUT!!” The director’s voice boomed and Margaret sniffs cleaning her fake tears.
“Margaret that’s great but…it’ll be good if you could put in more emotions. Let’s make it real okay?” The director said while Margaret rolled her eyes.
“Yes director” She faked a smile.
“Then let’s go one more time!”
“Here”Rowan extend a cup of coffee to Penny.
“Thanks” She smiles collecting it.
“What do you think?”
“What are they doing? Why are they asking her to do one thing over again?”
“That is called acting…awesome right?” He said and she nodded taking her eyes back to Margaret.
“So this is what the goddess do…acting” she mutters watching while Rowan’s eyes shifted to her chest.
“This is my chance…to take it out completely” He thought staring at it.
He keeps looking that he didn’t realize Penny was already calling onto him.
“Handsome man” she tap him jerking him off. And for a while she could notice his eyes were dark before it became clear again.
“Oh…sorry I was just thinking about something. Nice bag you’ve got there” He motioned to her crossbag.
“Oh this? Young man got me this…pretty right?” She beams while he smiles.
“Then we’ll end here for today good work everyone!!”
“Great work!”
“Director great work today!”
“Margaret you did great!”
“Good work!”
The crew started packing up while people started leaving the pool one after the other.
“President” Margaret called joining them.
“I’m surprised to see you…you didn’t inform me you were coming?” Mag said getting to them.
“Ohh…it turns out like that.”
“Peninah right?”
“Hi Goddess” Penny greeted.
“Why are you here? I don’t think you should be”
“I brought her here”
“Ohh…I see”
“President…president we have a problem” A guy announced joining them.
“What is it?” Rowan asked.
“Can you come with me for a moment sir?”
“Beautiful lady I’ll be back. Wait here” Rowan said while she nods.
“Let’s go” Rowan said to the guy and they left together.
Margaret looks at Penny from head to toe and sneer.
“Enjoy it while it lasts…when I’m done I promise to get back what’s rightfully mine” Mag said while Penny just look at her.
“Let’s go Elle”
“Yes ma’am” Elle, Margaret’s manager replied leaving along with Margaret.
Penny sighs where she stood. Now the pool is becoming empty since there are not much people there again.
MINUTES LATER.
The pool finally became empty leaving only penny there.
“Where is handsome man? He told me to wait since” She mutters drawing invisible pattern on the floor with her foot.
“Should I just leave? He’s not picking up either. I have to go home” She sighs and started walking around the pool side.
Her phone rang and she brought it out of her bag.
“Oh! It’s young man” She beams and was about picking it up but it slips and fell into the pool.
“Oh! My phone!” She shrieked.
“What do I do?” She bit her lips looking at the phone in the water.
“Young man would be worried…oh no.” She looks around not to see anyone.
She took off her bag and proceeded with her gown. She looks around one more time to be sure no one is around before diving inside the pool. Her legs instantly changes into a shinny tail.
“Got it” She grins as she took the phone looking at it.
“Is…is that real?” She heard a voice and snap her head back. Her eyes widened immediately while she releases a big gasp.
