(Mike goes to Katherine’s room)
Mike: Rise and shine, Sleepyhead.
Katherine: (slowly opening her eyes) It’s morning already?
Mike: (pulling the blinds) Yes and it’s Saturday! Go and have a shower then come down for breakfast, Mom and I are going to take you out for shopping.
Katherine: (smiling)
Mike: Don’t be long.
Katherine: I won’t.
(As Mike leaves the room, Katherine reaches for the box un-der her bed. She opens the box which is filled with multiple serum doses and then takes one & injects it in her arm)
Katherine: (gro-aning) Uhhh…
(When the pain relieves her, She hides the box back un-der her bed)
(Downstairs)
(At the dining room)
Mike: What’s for breakfast honey?
Tara: Bread, eggs and bacon.
Mike: (sniffing the air) Mmm, No wonder everywhere smell so heavenly
Tara: (chuckles) Settle down, It’s almost ready.
(Mike sits on the chair. Christopher and Rachel enter the dining room shortly after)
Mike: Where’s Billy?
Christopher: He’s having his bath.
(Just then, Katherine enters the dining room)
Katherine: (To Tara) Good morning ma.
(Tara glances at Mike and he signals her to reciprocate Katherine’s greetings then she looks at Katherine)
Tara: (sighs) Good morning. Did you sleep well?
Katherine: (she sits on a chair) I did.
Tara: (fake smiles) Great.
Christopher: Dad, I saw you cleaning your car earlier this morning.
Mike: Oh yeah
Christopher: Well today’s your day off from work so where are you going?
Mike: Your Mom and I are taking Katherine to the shopping mall today, We’re gonna get her some new clothes and shoes.
Christopher: Wait, What about the video games you said you were gonna get me?
Mike: The video games can wait, Right now we have more important matters to take care of.
Christopher: (he points at Katherine) Like her?
Mike: She has a name, Chris… Her name is Katherine and that is how you will address her, Is that un-derstood young man?
Christopher: Ugh…
(Christopher stares at Katherine angrily who completely ignores him)
(That afternoon)
(At the shopping mall)
Mike: We’ve gotten some clothes, Where do we get the shoes?
Tara: Aisle 18, Up there. (points)
Mike: (To Katherine) Stay here and watch over the shopping cart, Mom and I will be back soon.
Katherine: Alright.
(When Mike and Tara leave, Katherine glances around then looks to the TV up the wall)
News Reporter on TV: Just in, There’s been recent investigations concerning the house which got burnt down along with a family of five, The police are saying that the fire wasn’t an accident, It was indeed arson… Which means someone deliberately started the fire.
(Katherine immediately grabs a nearby screw wrench and hurls it at the television, destroying it)
(Back at the Johnson’s Residence)
(In Christopher’s room)
Christopher: (enraged) Man, I hate that f.ucking b!tch!
(Tyler calls him)
Christopher: (he picks the call) What?!
Tyler: (over the phone) Hey, Has your Dad gotten you the new released video games?
Christopher: No. Apparently, He has more important matters to take care of.
Tyler: Ouch. So he’s not getting them for you?
Christopher: At this point, I don’t even know
Tyler: Sorry man…
(Meanwhile)
(At L & D restaurant)
Lori Denman: Joe, Where’s Mike? I haven’t seen him today.
Joe: Today is Saturday, Mike doesn’t work on Saturdays.
Lori Denman: Oh, I completely forgot. Thanks anyway.
(She goes back to her office)
Lori Denman: I sincerely can’t wait for that man to return. Maybe I should send him a text. (She picks up her phone and talks out loud as she writes the message) “Evening Mikey, I hope you had a great time today. I just wanted to remind you that work continues tomorrow (a wink emoji), Have a nice day love… (a love and a k!ss emoji) kis-s€s” (she sends the text then smiles) Done.
(That evening)
(The Johnson’s Residence)
Tara: Kids! Come down for dinner!
(Seconds later, Christopher, Billy and Rachel enter the dining room. Katherine then enters after them)
Christopher: What’s for dinner Mom?
(Before Tara can answer, Mike replies him)
Mike: Its rice and steak… Delicious.
Christopher: (turns to his father slightly angry) I’m sure it is, “Mom”.
Mike: (chuckles) Still angry about the video games? (Christopher ignores him) Don’t worry, I’ll get it for you soon… Okay?
Christopher: (impatient) How soon?
(Tara returns with the plates of food)
Tara: Here it is! Hot rice and well seasoned meat.
Mike: Katherine, Why don’t you go a-ssist her in bringing the food?
Katherine: (standing up from her chair) Ok.
Tara: Don’t worry. I can do it myself.
(Later on)
(They all eat dinner)
Katherine: (eating the meat with her ba-re hands) Yum…
Christopher: (irritated) Why the h€ll are you eating like that?
Katherine: This is how I always eat, It means I’m enjoying my food.
Christopher: You’re such a we!rdo.
Mike: Chris don’t start!
Christopher: But why is everyone overlooking the we!rd way she behaves, I mean she’s eating like a f.ucking wild animal!
Mike: Chris that’s enough! One more utterance and you’re grounded and I’ll take away all of your video games!
Christopher: I’m sick of this family.
(Christopher angrily leaves the dining room)
Tara: CHRISTOPHER! (She doesn’t get any response)
Mike: Just leave him, He’ll come around. (To Katherine) I know you might think he doesn’t like you now but don’t be worried, He’ll eventually warm up to you.
Katherine: (she nods her head)
(Afterwards)
(In Mike and Tara’s bedroom)
Tara: Today was stressful… The shopping and all.
Mike: Certainly. Anyways, I’m enrolling Katherine into Evergreen High on Monday.
Tara: (sighs) That’s okay I guess.
Mike: Yea, She’ll make new friends. (He wears his fli-p-flops) I’m going down to get a gla-ss of water, I’ll be back.
Tara: Okay darling.
(Mike leaves the room)
Tara: (she relaxes on the bed and closes her eyes)
(Mike phone beeps, signaling a new message)
Tara: (she hears the beep and turns over to see Mike’s phone on the bed) Uhh, He left his phone here? I thought he would be charging it.
(Tara opens Mike’s phone to see the message and it’s from his boss, Lori Denman)
Tara: A message from Lori Denman? (She opens & reads the message out loud) “Evening Mikey, I hope you had a great time today. I just wanted to remind you that work continues tomorrow (a wink emoji), Have a nice day love… (a love and a k!ss emoji) kis-s€s”
(Tara stop reading the message)
Tara: (angrily) What the h€ll is this? Mike has got some serious explaining to do! (She furiously storms out of the room)

(Tara goes to meet Mike in the kitchen)
Mike: Tara…
Tara: (she hands him his phone) Read it.
Mike: (puzzled) Uhh, Okay. (He reads the message out loud) “Evening Mikey, I hope you had a great time today. I just wanted to remind you that work continues tomorrow (a wink emoji), Have a nice day love… (a love and a k!ss emoji) K!sses”
Tara: What is all that about? Why would she send you such messages as if you and her are having a fling?
Mike: I really don’t know why, Tara.
Tara: I just hope you and that boss lady of yours aren’t having any int-imate affair.
Mike: No we’re not! Believe me.
Tara: Well how can I? When she sends you a fli-rty message with a love and k!ss emoji? She even called you “Mikey”… What the h€ll!
Mike: (he holds her arms) Listen, I don’t know why she did all that but I a-ssure you… Nothing is going on between Lori Denman and I.
Tara: (sighs) It’s alright, I believe you. But I just don’t trust that salacious woman.
Mike: (chuckling) You worry too much. Come on, Let’s go back upstairs.
(Mike holds Tara by the wai-st and leads her upstairs)
(Monday Morning)
(The Johnson’s Residence)
Mike: Kids, Hurry up. You’re gonna be late for school.
(Christopher, Rachel and Billy come downstairs)
Christopher: We’re ready, Dad. Are you driving us?
Mike: Yes
Christopher: Okay. Let’s get going.
Mike: Hold on.
Christopher: Who are we waiting for?
(Katherine comes downstairs)
Katherine: I’m ready for school Uncle Mike.
Christopher: (sighs) Are you kidding me?
Mike: I’m enrolling her in your school and that’s settled.
(Mike, Katherine, Billy and Rachel leave the house)
Christopher: (gro-ans) Ugh…
(He exits the house as well)
(Evergreen High)
(In the cla-ssroom)
Tyler: Hey Chris, What’s up?
Christopher: I’m good… (He sp-ots Claire and Kelvin k!ssing) I can’t wait for this to end in tears…
Tyler: Me too, trust me.
(A teacher, Mrs Ruth enters the cla-ss)
Mrs Ruth: Settle down everyone.
(They all take their seats)
Mrs Ruth: Good morning cla-ss. There’ll be someone joining us today, Meet your new cla-ssmate… (Katherine enters the cla-ssroom)
Katherine: Hey everyone, I’m Katherine Johnson
Claire: (mockingly) Oooh, Looks like we’ve found Dracula’s daughter.
(Everyone in the cla-ss laughs at Katherine)
Mrs Ruth: That’s enough! (To Katherine) Take a seat.
(Katherine attempts to sit down but Claire takes away the chair)
Claire: This chair is for my bestfriend, Madison. Go find somewhere else to sit your b.utt down… Fre@k!
(Katherine glares murd€rously at Claire for a while then goes to sit down at the back)
Tyler: Katherine Johnson? Isn’t that your surname? I thought you only had one sister?
Christopher: I do.
Tyler: Then how come? Is she your cousin?
Christopher: No she’s not!
Tyler: I don’t un-derstand…
Christopher: My Dad found her on his way back from work on Friday, She claims she has no family so he took her in… It’s a really long story. Point is, She’s not and will never be my sister.
Mrs Ruth: So Cla-ss, Today we’ll be talking about Christopher Columbus. But before then, I want you all to know that your mid semester test will be coming up in a few days time.
Katherine: (she raises her right hand up)
Mrs Ruth: Yes Katherine?
Katherine: Will I be sitting for the test as well?
Mrs Ruth: Yes Katherine, You will.
Katherine: But I’m a new student.
Mrs Ruth: I know, Which is why I’ll give out AOCs which you all will focus on
(Later)
(At the locker area, Katherine sees Kelvin and goes to meet him)
Katherine: Hey Kelvin
Kelvin: (he brings his head out of his locker) Oh it’s you. What do you want?
Katherine: Umm, I wanted us to…
Kelvin: (rudely) To what? Listen, I have a girlfriend I don’t talk to fre@ks and weirdos.
(Kelvin shuts his locker & leaves)
Katherine: (glaring at him as he walks away)
(Claire and her best friend, Madison along with her entourage approaches Katherine)
Claire: Hey fre@k. I got something for ya.
Katherine: What would that be?
(Claire takes out a rotten egg and smears it all over Katherine’s face)
Katherine: Just a rotten egg? (chuckles)
Claire: You know what? You’re right. Let’s kick it up a notch! (One of her entourage hands her a milkshake) Get ready for this.
(Claire collects the milkshake and pours it on Katherine and everyone in the hallway laughs at her)
Claire: (laughing) Hahahahaha! (She slap-s Katherine across the face) You have no sense of humor… Hahahahaha!
(Claire and her entourage are about to leave)
Katherine: (menacingly) Claire is it? What you just did right now will be the biggest mistake you’ll ever make.
Claire: (she furiously turns around) What did you just say to me, You freak?!
Katherine: (evi!ly) Three words – Watch. your. back.
(Katherine walks off)
Claire: (slightly disturbed) What did she mean?
Madison: (shrugs her shoulder) I have no idea…
Claire: Whatever. (she takes out her phone) Anyways, Follow me to the auditorium
Madison: For what?
Claire: I want you to shoot a video of me, I’m gonna participate in the Ladder Challenge, currently trending on Instagram.
Madison: Claire, That’s challenge is very perilous, Do you know how many people who almost died while doing it? Just forget about it
Claire: No! This is my ticket to larger, numerous fans and followers.
Madison: No way, I’m not doing it.
(Madison walks off)
Claire: (furious) Whatever! I don’t need you! I’ll do it myself.. B!tch!
(Afterwards)
(In the auditorium)
Claire: Thank God no one’s here (she takes out her phone and starts shooting the video) Hello guys, This is Claire Kiddman coming to you from Evergreen High. And I’m taking part in the famous Ladder Challenge. (She climbs atop a very high grey ladder) Now, I’m about to perform a really difficult stunt…
(Claire hears rustling behind her and quickly turns around)
Claire: Hello? Is someone there? (She doesn’t get any response) Hmph.
(Claire continues shooting the video)
Claire: Get ready for this guys.
(Suddenly, Katherine [while wearing a ski mask] appears from behind then shoots Claire in the leg)
Claire: (screaming) Aaaaaaahhhh!!!! (Her phone falls off her hand)
(Claire loses her balance falls off the ladder with immense for-ce, breaking her ne-ck and dying instantly)
