“Mare!!”his Mom walk up to me immediately I walk in and pu-ll me into a friendly hvg. Too bad I have forgotten her name.
“Mom, why didn’t you call when you arrive?”Bryan asks walking in and his mom withdraw.
“I am not a kid like you”She scorn.
“Hi, sweetheart, did you have a good day at school?” his mom asks,
“Yeah, it was fine,” I lie. Trying to act like i’m not bothered by the fact a lot of things had been happening lately and I dont longer live here.
“Well, go change into something nice while I go set your meal on the table”She direct me to my room.
It was then I realized, I didn’t come with any of my things I will be nee-ding but I guess few of my clothes are still in the room.
Oh God.
“Yeah.” This is the worst timing for all of this to be happening right now.
“Mom we are having an home theater today and I will be very glad if you don’t ruin it”Leo said pu-lling off his shoe in the living room whilst his mother holding me down at the corridor.
“I don’t mind joining”
“No! my b©yfri£ndwill be coming over”Leo replied and I smile. Sean agrees to come here for the first time because of Leo, what a ro-mantic couples they will make.
I still don’t feel it right seeing my cousin and best friend k!ssand hvg or have this make out session but I guess with time things will change for good.
I go upstairs and into my closet, looking for an outfit. There’s nothing I have that his mom would consider nice that I feel comfortable wearing, so I decide to wear a pair of shorts and a t-shi-t my mom got me for my birthday.
I can’t believe I left it here, I look round the room and everything look so clean and prepared for me to come back. It looks like someone has been cleaning for me.
They all knew I will definitely come back, I smile at my thoughts before I heard noises from the corridor. What happening?.
I quic-kly open the door to take a peep. “Give me back my phone”John ran after Jenny along the hallway.
Seriously?, Jenny had been causing a lot of troubles truly. When did she even get back and didn’t face Bryan mom wrath?.
“Dinner is almost re-ady, plea-se come take a seat.” His mom screamed and I chuckled.
I gr-ab my phone and head downstairs with my hair flowing down because I don’t feel like packing it.
I walk to the posh dinning room with a large dark wooden table in the centre. Jenny is sitting in one of the seats on her phone, and I sit next to her. While John and his Mom sit across from us.
“I didn’t know Jenny is back”Bryan mom break the awkward silence between us giving Jennifer a deadly glare.
“Yeah Dad s£nt her here”Liam answered.
“What? I don’t think your dad ever s£nt anyone here without informing me especially a gold digger”his mom spilled out.
I almost choked on my food at the mention of this. “Actually, I will love to eat in peace can we talk about this later”Jennifer replied with a fake laugh that was obviously a stupid thing to do in a situation like this.
“Whatever”his mom reply,I have never seen her like this because she is always cheerful and kind I am astonished by her new behavior tonight, she just gave me a warming welcome and damn the woman likes hvg.
“Just ignore it”Bryan whisper to me and I nod.
“So have you guys sought things out I totally forget about it in school”
“Sort what?”
“The guy”he whispered back.
“Not yet but can we not talk about it here? I’ve got a lot to say to you”I replied looking around to be sure no one is hearing us.
“Sure, you are slee-ping in my room tonight”
“I wasn’t complaining”I roll my eye.
“Do you realize you are becoming a badas-s bit-ch”he tea-sed, I wanted to retaliate but he fed me with his food and that caught everyone attention.
“You like it?”he asks, clearly there is an evil sm-irk on his face and I wish I could pu-ll him into the room and treat him the way it should go.
“Oh yeah, your mom is such a great cook”I scoff as I chew.
He always do this just to st©p me from fighting back or attacking when clearly he started it.
“Can you guys just st©p it alre-ady”Liam scoff.
“If you are jealous just gr-ab your girlfriend she is right beside you”Bryan defended and everyone bur-st into laughter except from John and of course Jennifer doesn’t laugh but she does when everyone is serious.
I don’t really know what John problem is but I am definitely sure he is going to get over it very soon so I should just quit trying to talk to him when it would only make things worst.
He place his hand on my n-ked th!gh and ca-ress them as he eat. I know he is doing this on purpose and anytime I tried to say something he feed me in the front of his whole family.
Bryan sm-irks and I glare at him. I don’t bother trying to get his hand off because truthfully, I kind of like it. His hand is warm, ma-king my skin prickle, and it’s the only thing i’m focusing on right now.
For the rest of the meal it’s the only thing I can think about, not about the fact my life is in danger and I am scared. Just Bryan’s hand on me.
“Are you all re-ady for dessert?” his mom asks.
“Mare and I will get it,” he says quic-kly, standing up and pu-lling me up with him.
His mom looks surprised by his offer and doesn’t say anything as he pu-lls me into the kitchen.
“Why the sudden thoughtfulness?” I say when we get into the kitchen.
He didn’t answer, instead he pushes me up against the counter and presses his b©dy against mine. “You shouldn’t have wore those fv¢king shorts,” he says, his breath fanning my face from how close he is.
My breath hitches, my heart racing. Why does he make my heart like this? Why, goddamnit.
His pupils dilate as he stares into my eyes and feeling him against me, I discover that he wasn’t lying about being ha-rd .
“Can you actually st©p blaming for this all the time because you always complain about every damn cloth I put on do you actually think my mode of dressing turns you on or actually me because you love me and your heart beat ra-pidly”I whisper staring intensely at me, I can’t believe I just made the amazing Bryan lose his words.
“No PDA plea-se”Leo shouts from the dinning room and I sm-irk. Innocently, and he pu-lls away from me, then takes plates of cake throu-gh to the dining room.
Once everyone has a slice of cake, Bryan and I sit back down.
“What happened down there?”his mom asks, watching Bryan carefully.
“Leo think he saw two slices of cake ru-bbing together and got the wrong idea,” he answers and I almost choke on cake from laughing.
He looks at me and starts laughing too. “You have cake all around your mouth,” he takes a napkin and wipes my mouth for me as we both continue laughing like idiots.
“Aren’t they adorable?” Evelyn says to John and Bryan and I both st©p laughing and look at her.
“They are, but I just think Bryan doesn’t deserve her,”John says.
Oh God.
“And what make you think so”Bryan gaze landed on him and he cleanch his fist.
He is getting angry again, I hope they don’t unleash their anger at each other right now.
“What happening with you two”his mom tries to caution them.
“Tell him to st©p blabbering about what he doesn’t know about”Bryan ban-g the table and stand, John did the same thing Immediately.
“Can we not do this right now”I hold Bryan clenched fist.
“For fv¢k sake, Mare”
“I am only saying the truth and I don’t think you should be mad at me for saying the truth”John clearify.
“Language”his mom yelled angrily.
“Tell him to shut up”Bryan hit his hand angrily.
“The both of you to shut up”Bryan Mon yelled and they sit back on their chairs.
“I am sitted here and the both of you still dare fight?”
“He starts it”John blurted out.
“I said shut up”she hit her hand on the table.
“For how long has this been going on?”She questioned but everyone just remain silent because no one dare to say a word.
“Can someone talk to me?”She yelled at everyone.
This is the first time I am seeing her this angry and mad. What does she expect us to say?

“Is someone going to say something or I call your dad and tell him about this uncalled for manner”the woman yelled.
“It nothing mom”Bryan replied ignoring the glare from John.
“And you John why will you say something like that”his mother direct the question to him.
“Are you really going to blame me for all this just because he is your son?”John spat out.
“John”Liam growled.
“You too?”John spat.
“I think you are taking it too far John”
“Are you all blind or something? Obviously I know she will always support her son because she is the only legal son of the family and obviously he owns dad property”John added.
I have never seen this family like this and it happening just when I decide to come home and have a sleepover. I think this a wrong idea, I knew I shouldn’t have come here.
The deserve a break and I didn’t give them enough.
“John you dare not talk to me like this”She warned.
“Why?”
“Because I am your mom”She declared.
“You are not my mom and we never be, just because she is just a mistress doesn’t mean I don’t know my true mother”he drop his cutlery and stand up, walking out on all of us.
“I can’t believe this”the woman support her head with her elbow.
“I will talk to him”Liam joined and follow John.
“You guys can enjoy your meal I am done”the woman push the plate forward and walk out on us too.
I look at Nina face and she is as shock as I am right now because I didn’t know she isn’t the one that gave birth to them all. They aren’t all from the same mother?. My gaze landed on Jennifer and she has the evil smile on her face.
She likes what she is seeing definitely because that what she wants to get to them and steal from them again.
“I am done here too”Bryan ban-g the table angrily and I flin-ched.
“Bry….”I tried to call but he ran up the stairs alre-ady.
“I will excuse myself too”I gave a fake smile before I ran up to catch up with Bryan. I alre-ady asks him to st©p fighting with John, it won’t solve anything but he will never listen instead he prefer cussing and hitting him to the wall all the time.
“Bryan that wasn’t fair”I barged into the room but my jaws drop at what I saw.

I can’t believe what just happened, it like John open an old wound in our life’s after years. I hate remembering the fact my mother is just a mistress to an old man who doesn’t even deserve her.
The rest went upstairs and I was left with Jennifer in the dinning table. I don’t know why this is so funny to her because she has this evil smile on.
“Are you happy?”I asks.
“About?”She sm-irk.
“I think you should leave”I declare.
“Are you blaming me for this because clearly I have no business with this and I didn’t say a word”
“You leave first thing tomorrow morning”I ignore her remark.
“But you didn’t bring me here”She shrug.
“I will advise you leave quietly because clearly I know my dad doesn’t know you are here and I confirm that tonight”
“And what makes you think so?”She smiled.
“Because I am sure and I advise you leave or I will expo-se you”
“Go ahead and do that but if I am in your shoes I will keep my mouth shut and watch how things pl@yout in time”She wipe herl-ips with the napkins and walk away.
“Good night Leo”She sm-irk which turn to a straight face immediately.
What does she mean?.
The doorbell interrupted my thoughts and I head over to get it.
“Leo”Sean called in surprise, I didn’t remember I invited him over for the movie I don’t think will be possible tonight.

“Where is everyone?”he asks, walking in to discover everyone alre-ady left to their room.
“Actually the movie night can’t happen today because……”I gave an hand signal.
“Oh! hope I am not interrupting anything.”he requested getting the message I am trying to pas-s across to him.
“No, they all left to their various room”I replied.
“Oh, that a bad news I guess I will take my leave now”he tried to walk pas-s me to the door but I block his way.
“What are you doing?”he arched his brows?.
“I think we can just watch the movie together, just us”I scratching my hair.
“I….appreciate that but wouldn’t I be interrupting something?.”He said softly, “No”
I noticed that Sean got more comfortable talking to me and that was enough to balance out my anger from my family and my happiness because he had that kind of magic around him all of the sudden that I could’ve explained.
His face turned red and it was obvious that he got nervous because I just suggested that he should stay over and he probably thought that I was planning to make a move on him, which I wasn’t or probably would😂.
But I’m not trying to get you in be-d with me if that’s what you were thinking.”I cringe as those words c@m£ out of my mouth, “I didn’t mean that I think you’re thinking about it…I also didn’t mean that either.”
What the fv¢k was going on?
I suddenly lost all of my charm and confidence around Sean and that was something unfamiliar for me.
“I didn’t.”He blu-shed.

I made him uncomfortable.
“You can just leave if you don’t want to, “I said, ma-king the situation more awkward.
“I want to.”He as-sured and a smile tugged on myl-ips.
“Okay we are just going to watch a movie and call it a day right?”I asks awkwardly,
“Yeah I think……”
“I don’t want to think too much so can we start with something alre-ady?”
“Sure, I will gr-ab enough popcorn and jui-ce for us while don’t you pick any movie of your choice and in-sert it in”I tap my hand as I move away from him and head to the kitchen.
“fv¢k”I took a de-ep breath in and out before I gr-ab a bowl and pour in enough popcorn.
I walk back to the kitchen and met him still finding the best movie to watch.
“Any problem?”I asks dropping the bowl and cold drink on the table.
“No, I just can’t find my type of movie….”
“Oh”I interrupted.
“I will he right back you can help yourself with the drink”I stated before dashing to my room but on my way back I heard a noise coming from Mom room.
“What the hell are you doing here”Mom accused and I am very sure it Jenny she is talking to.
“We both know why I am here so can you st©p creating a mess”
“I am warning you if you ever mess with my son again I will order for your death”I g@sped using my hand to cover my mouth.
“Go ahead and try it and I will unveil everything and tell Mare who she really is and let see who loses?”Jenny seems so confident about it and as much I love to hear more from them I nee-d to attend to Sean too.
What the hell are the talking about?. I will let that go for tonight but definitely I won’t l@ylow on that for sure, Mare has to know. She nee-ds to be protected because I owe her.
I return back to the living room after gr-abbing a g@y movie I have actually been watching and hiding it from my family. I only watch it on my l@pt©p or download them on phone or probably I should horrors because they Interest me.
“I found us something”I made my pres£nce obvious in the living room as I head to the disc compact and pl@ythe movie.
“What that?”he asks as I slump down beside him on the couch gr-abbing the popcorn bowl from his hand.
“It Aban and Khorshid, it a movie I like watching and you might be interested too”I place my hand on his th!gh and I love how he reacted to my t©uçh.
I never thought I will be watching this with my b©yfri£ndbut I guess fate own it, It got to an intense p@rt and I start to feel uncomfortable to the extent I had to move my hand from his th!gh but he gr-ab my hand and didn’t let them go.
This is getting too awkwardly, “I will go get another drink”I tried to stand up but he pu-ll me back. “I am not even done with the one I have?”he replied.
We were both silent and I looked de-eply into his sea-blue eyes to study his expressions. He looked both calm and nervous at the same time if that’s even possible.
I placed my hand on his che-st and felt his heart racing even more than mine at the moment, “I think….”
“Say something else but not that”Sean Interrupted.
“What do you want me to say?”I asked.
“I don’t know.”He said honestly, “All I know is that I want to be with you. And that didn’t sound as stupid as it did in my head.”He cringes.
I let out a chuckle, “It’s not stupid.”
He placed his hands on the side of my n£¢k and examined my face, “Can I k!ssyou?”He whispered.
I gulped, “Oka-”
I couldn’t finish my s£ntence as he wra-pped his other hand on my w@!st and pressed hisl-ips on mine.
