MAX POV
I woke up only to not to find Andrea beside me on the be-d.
Where could she have gone?I thought as I sat up, the room was dark and the lights hadn’t been switched on.
I got out of the be-d, walking perfectly to the switch to turn the lights on.
I stood still when I saw her sitting on the couch staring at me
“My gosh you scared me”i said
“I can see that the cramp has totally disappeared,”she said as she walked towards me.
I had totally forgotten about my leg, I thought as I looked at her in shock
“Why did you lie to me?”she asked, looking a bit hurt.
How do I get myself out of this kind of mess,I thought as I stood staring at her.
“You even went far as to tell the blind d@tĀ£ guy that I wouldn’t be coming, why?”she asked
“Okay,I used the leg cramp excuse to get you to stay and that’s because the guy is a per-vert, didn’t you see that he was asking you to come to his house first, what do you think that mean”I asked
“Nothing, he just wants me to come there so once he is re-ady we can leave together” she said
“You are just so gullible, that is not the real reason why a guy will ask you to go to his house, don’t you know that he wants something else”I asked
“Something like what? You are the one with the dirty mind Max”she said
“You are too trusting Andrea”I said
“And what if am too trusting, you are a guy right, yet here I am in your room and nothing has happened”she said and for a while I stared at her
Doesn’t she know how ha-rd I am fighting not to take her in my arms and k!ssthe hell out of her, I thought as I clenched my hand.
“Don’t be too trusting with Men Andrea”I said instead.
“I won’t and thanks for the advice, I better head back, you seem all fine to me” she said and began to head to the door only for her to stĀ©p when she heard my mom’s voice.
“Max are you in?Are you okay son? I heard you had a leg cramp, can I come in to see you?”she said
“Your mom can’t see me here!”Andrea mouthed at me.
I didn’t want her to be caught too,so I went into the bathroom and pushed her in and I also went in.
She stood by the wall and I stood towering over her.
We heard the door opened and I knew that my mom had walked in
“Max where are you?”She called softly
“Am in the restroom mom, am taking a dump and my cramp is all gone, you don’t have to worry”I said out loud
“But can i come and see you, am very worried you see”she said
Andrea stared up at me in alarm and quic-kly I thought of something to say
“Don’t mom! how will you disrupt your son privacy, just leave mom, as soon as am done, I will come see you myself”I said
She was quiet for a while and then she finally spoke
“Fine then, I will be waiting for you “She said and when we heard the door close, we both drew in our breaths.
“That was close”I said and it was then that I noticed how close I was standing to Andrea.
She too noticed it because the smile on her face vanished, she bec@mĀ£ all serious as she stared at me and I too was so very serious because I wanted to k!ssher, to know what herl-ips would taste like.
I bent towards her and she stiffened a bit, i held her hand with one of my free f!ngersand then I held her face with the other,lifting her face towards mine.
I stood still trying to fight the temptation but I knew that I couldn’t, I couldn’t stĀ©p myself from not k!ss!ngher and so I took my chance.
I bent forward and put myl-ips on hers, she stiffened again but I pu-ll-ed her close and k!$$Ā£d her again.
Then I couldn’t seem to stĀ©p, I found myself wanting more and so I de-epened the k!ss,plunging into her mouth and meshing our ton-gues together.

I stood there for a while wondering why she pu-ll-ed away, wanting more but I realised that she was taken by shock just as I have also been taken by shock.
I moved back from her feeling lost for words
“Am sorry”I finally said and her response was to leave the room in a rush.
Have I just made things worse for myself, I thought as I stood in the empty room.
ANDREA POV
I ran straight to our little maid quarters and sat on the be-d.
I still can’t believe that I had my first k!sswith Max.
Why didn’t I stĀ©p him, why did I let him k!ssme, I thought as I ca-ressed myl-ips.
I always wondered what a first k!sswould be like and now I know, I thought as I layed on the be-d still feeling shocked by what we just shared.
Just then the land line kept in the room for all of the workers used began to ring.
I picked only to hear the voice of Max mother
“Can you come and see me”She asked
“Yes Ma’am, I will come and see you now”I replied and as soon as I put down the phone, I checked my appearance and I went to the study to see his mom
“Have a seat”she said after I had greeted her
“I called you here to know something about my son?”She said
“What do you wish to know ma”am “I asked
“I want to know how my son treats Rose”she asked
“Rose?”
“Yes Rose the most beautiful girl in your clas-s”she said softly
“Well from what have seen, their relationsh!pdoesn’t look good”I said
“And why do you think so?”
“They ha-rd ly talk to one another” I said
“That’s odd but they were inseparable before”she said
“Is there a reason why you are asking me this ma’am”I asked
“Well there is! You see I nee-d you to help me get Max close to Rose, you see my husband and I want Max to get engaged to Rose”she said and my heart broke into shreds.
“What?”
“You look a bit lost Andrea, hope there is no problem”She asked
“None at all ,I will do as you say and get Max close to Rose”I said as I stood up quic-kly to leave the room before his mom asked me more favours.
Max mom sat down still staring at the door for a long time
Then slowly she picked her phone and dialled someone number
“I nee-d you to come back home soon, I think we will be having a problem with Max’s love life” she said, having an angry look on her face.
THE NEXT DAY
I woke up feeling depressed, just yesterday I had been k!$$Ā£d by the guy I love,only for me to find out that he will be getting engaged and i had to help his mom get the Max and his future bride together
What was I thinking when I set my eyes upon him, I should have known that what I felt for him would only be a bad omen
I got dressed for school and left him as usual, luckily I was saved the chance of seeing him in the morning
I still don’t know how I will behave when I see him in the morning.
I walked into Jupiter high with less enthusiasm and I know that I was being such a bore but who cares.
All I kept on thinking about is Max and his engagement to Rose.
If he knew this was going to happen, why the hell did he k!ssme, he got confused the more, I thought as I put my head while I kept on walking
Just then a bike was driving past and if I hadn’t been pu-ll-ed out of safety, it would have hit me
But the problem is that the person who pu-ll-ed me out of danger pu-ll-ed me straight into his arms.
I looked up to see Max staring down at me, the first thing I remembered when I saw him was the k!sswe shared and also what his Mom had said.
I tried to pu-ll away but he held me back giving me a wi-de grin,unknown to us Jack stood not so far away staring at the two of us and he was seething with anger.

ANDREA POV
“Urrrgh…….will you let me go,plea-se”i said softly and he re-leased me
I turned to walk off but he was walking beside me too.
plea-se, just go away, I thought as he kept on walking beside me
” Are you worried about what happened yesterday?” He asked
“What?”I said
“Well don’t think about it anymore, it’s just an impulse from my side, am sorry for being too forward”he said
Just an impulse! Just an impulse to you? That was my first k!ss, you jĀ£rk! I thought to myself
“It’s okay you don’t have to apologise”I said
“Now that we have talked about it, I hope we won’t be awkward with each other”he said
“We won’t”I replied
“Fine then, see you at clas-s”he said as he walked off.
As soon as he left, I got so sad, that k!sshad meant something for me but to him it had only been an impulse.
I got to clas-s only to be questioned by the Beatrice about the blind d@tĀ£
“I didn’t go”I replied
“But why?”Brenda asked
“I was busy with something”I said staring at Max
“Well it doesn’t matter, I will help set you up with another guy, you know I have a lot of single male friends”I said
“Why would a girl have a lot of single male friends and not have one for herself, just get one guy for yourself and let Andrea be”Jack said as he walked into clas-s
“Look who’s talking, aren’t you single too and besides I alre-ady have someone and it’s a secret”Beatrice said
“Tell us who it is”Brenda and I said together
“It’s a secret and just as I was saying, I will help you with another d@tĀ£ okay”she replied
I looked up and saw Max staring at me, he Shaked his head, wanting me to tell her no but instead I looked at Beatrice and told her a yes.
Jack noticed the little thing that just went on between us but he didn’t say or do anything.
“Are you a fool or what ? Why would you accept her invite to go on a blind d@tĀ£” Jack said
“What’s bad in going to a blind d@tĀ£” beatrice asked
“I believe in practicality, would it be so ha-rd to pick a guy from our clas-s or the school itself” Jack asked
“Blind d@tĀ£ is more better than choosing a guy from this school”Brenda said
“Why is that? Aren’t the guys of Jupiter high good enough?”Geoffrey asked as he heard our discussion
“No one was asking you, just go away”Beatrice said
“Hey guys listen up, These two girls are saying we the guys of Jupiter high aren’t good for the girls of Jupiter high, what do you have to say about that” Geoffrey said calling up the attention of everyone.
Soon everyone was talking each at a time ma-king the clas-s rowdy.
“Guys let’s just stĀ©p it okay, What Beatrice and Brenda was trying to say is that the guys of our school are good for the girls of our school”I said trying to calm the situation
“That’s a lie,they were saying something different”Geoffrey said
“And so what if we were! You all aren’t good for us”Beatrice said and once again the clas-s bec@mĀ£ rowdy
” Well if you think so Andrea doesn’t, Tell us Andrea If you were to pick a guy in our clas-s, who would you pick ?” Jack suddenly asked, ma-king me the centre of attra-ction.
“Me? I don’t think my answer is that important” I said
“Yes!it is, these two are ma-king us feel low, your answer will certainly make things right, Tell us who you will pick” Geoffrey said and the other students too urged me to speak
“Common Andrea they are all waiting”Jack said beside me
“Does it really matter if she picks some one,If the girls are saying they can’t ever d@tĀ£ the guys of Jupiter high then we can’t d@tĀ£ then too, it’s as simple as that”Max said ma-king everyone look at him
“That’s true! Max is right, if you girls can’t d@tĀ£ us, we also can’t d@tĀ£ you”Geoffrey added as he went to Max while the other students agreed too
I sighed gently, I know that Max interfering was to save me from answering such questions.
“Max never seems to amaze me?”Beatrice said
“Why do you say that!”Brenda asked
“A ring he will be cold and distance and another he will approachable, Am still surprised by the way he dealt with those bullies who were about to take Andrea, he kind of look protective and am sure that if it had been someone else, he wouldn’t have done it” Beatrice said. “Order,I will be there soon”I texted back as I began to head to the cafeteria
“Hurry up, your best side dish is here “She texted again and I smiled
“I will be there soon”I texted, still heading for the cafeteria while my focus was on my phone.
I was still walking off when I collided into someone.
I would have fall if the person hadn’t held me by my w@!st
I looked up only to see Jack staring at me ,angrily I pushed him away
“Why can’t you watch where you are going “I said
“What? You were the one focused on your phone, you should have watched where you are going “he said
“What ever, why aren’t you at the cafeteria?”I asked
“I c@mĀ£ back to look for you, the girls wouldn’t stĀ©p pestering me to get you, so I c@mĀ£ for you”he said patting my head
“StĀ©p that”I said hitting his hand
“You are like a gentle puppy I always want to protect”
“Find someone else to protect”I said as I hit his hand off
Just then I saw Max some few paces away watching us.
Jack stĀ©pped ruffling my hair when he saw that my attention had been taken.
We both stood looking at Max while he looked at us too
“Ahhhh………so annoying,common let’s go Andrea”Jack said as he pu-ll-ed me off
I looked back to see Max still staring at us.
We were about to get to the cafeteria when Rose c@mĀ£ to us
“I want to talk to you Andrea”Rose said
“There goes another one,”Jack said.
“You don’t have to talk to her”he added staring at me
“But I do want to talk to her! “I said
“Andrea have you forgotten what she did ?”He asked
“Just go, I will talk to her myself”I said pushing him away
“I hope you know what you are doing”he said as he went into the cafeteria
“Sorry about that,what do you want to tell me”I asked
“Ever since I asked if I could be your friend,you have been more distant to me”She said
“Really I ……”
“It’s not that am complaining, I mean I just want to be friends with you, to be close to you, why is that so ha-rd to get”She said sadly
“Rose I…….”
“I just wanted to tell you this, I wanted to relive my mind” she said interrupting me again
“I will leave now?”She added as she began to walk off.
“You see I nee-d you to help me get Max close to Rose”
I would have let her go but remembering what Max’s mother had asked of me, I called for her.
“Would you like to join us for lunch”I asked and she nodded gently
With Rose sitted with the rest, I went in search of Max.
The two of them should at least start from somewhere and if we all share lunch together it will certainly bring them close.
I don’t know why I decided to do this but am sure that I will regret it.
I found him at clas-s as usual, he was busy with his some school work
“Hello “I said and he looked up to stare at me then back at his book
“Won’t you go out for lunch?”I asked
“I don’t eat lunch”he said
“That’s why you are so thin,come on, Max let’s go and eat lunch”I said
“I don’t want to”
“What if I tell you that I will do anything you ask of me, Is that a good deal to make with you?”I asked and he stared up at me
“It’s a deal,”he said and I smiled.
“But why do you insist on me going to eat lunch with you today”He asked
“I just don’t like seeing you thin”I replied
“So now you are worried about me?”he asked
“Why won’t I, you are the guy I………….”I stĀ©pped when I realised that I was about to tell him that he is the one I love
“The guy that what?”
“Who knows my secret and has also kept it a secret?” I said, giving him a smile.
“You are something”he said as he smiled at me
“Common Max, they are still waiting for us and am sure that they are hungry”I said as I pu-ll-ed him by his hand
“How can you gr-ab my hand like that! No one is allowed to do that”He said
“But I am allowed to, after all I am more close to you than anyone else”I said as I pu-ll-ed him to the cafeteria.
There was Beatrice and Brenda sitting with Jack beside Rose.
If Max seats beside Rose they will certainly hit it off, I thought.
