ANDREA POV
As soon as the waiter finished serving us, Rose began to talk .
“You know it’s been years since we have seen each other, why don’t we try to catch up”Rose said as she stared at the three of us
“Just eat !”Max Said as he kept on eating his food
” But that wouldn’t make it lively, we nee-d to communicate with one another, after all this is like some sort of renuion”she said again and still none of us said any thing
“Fine then I will start, Are you two d@t!ngor what, you wouldn’t be seen out with some one you aren’t d@t!ngJack, are we expected to hear wedding bell soon?”She asked
“Out of all the questions you could ask, why did you ask that?”Jack asked
“It’s simple, Andrea has been single all her life, I just want to know if she isn’t still pining for my husband”she asked starring at me
” I doubt that Rose, Andrea have moved on a long time ago, she just didn’t have the time to mingle, that is why she is still single until recently”Jack said this starring at Max
“What do you mean by until recently? Don’t tell me that Andrea is now d@t!ngyou?”she asked
“Can’t you tell?”Jack asked k!ss!ngmy hand
“That’s wonderful! It’s the best news have heard in a long time”She said hitting my arm
“You made a right choice Andrea,Jack is a nice guy, you should have chosĀ£n him in the past, maybe that might have saved you from the heart break Max caused”She added b!tt!gly and Max dropped his cutlery in anger and sat back folding his arms
“Do you want us to talk about the past or should we just eat”He asked starring at us three
” Why don’t we do that! It’s best that we make it clear to each other now that it’s been sixteen years, sixteen good years and we have all moved on,no more going to the past”Rose said starring at me
“I agree with you on that Rose, we have to make things clear now, it’s been years and so no going back to the past “Jack added and gave Max a look
“What do you think Andrea, it’s been years as they have said, do you wish to forget the past just like they have said ?”Max asked starring at me
I stared at the three of them and they were all waiting for my answer.
“The past is now in the past, what we have to focus on now is the presĀ£nt, As you have said Rose, you are a mother now and you are married to Max, you should put your focus on your husband and your child, you don’t have to scared of my presĀ£nce”I said and Rose gave me an angry glare
“And you too Max, you are married to Rose, I think you should devote your time to your wife,She won’t be like this if you are really doing your work”I said
“Excuse but I have to use the rest room!”I said getting up
“And what do you have to say about your self, I heard that you are also a mom, a woman who gives birth out of wedlock should be called a what? I think you should focus more on finding the father of your child, don’t you think so?”She said.
I walked off with out answering her and as soon as I got to the rest room, I took a de-ep breath.
Max doesn’t know that I have a child and Rose saying it carelessly like that will certainly spike up his interest,I just hope he doesn’t notice any thing.
ROSE POV
“Andrea has a child?” Max asked starring at me
“Why are you asking? Didn’t you know?”I asked
“If I knew I wouldn’t be asking you?”He said looking a bit angry
“It’s nothing to get all worked up about,Andrea child is my child, so forget it was ever Mentioned”Jack said
“I nee-d to use the rest room too” I said as I left the two men at their seat
I have to talk to Andrea and make things clear to her.
I don’t want her close to Max and I won’t have her close to him.
For the past sixteen years Max haven’t looked my way and it’s all because of Andrea.
He never forgot her, there were times when I caught him starring at her picture, he would call out her name when never he is slee-ping,he always made me feel less and each day I regret marrying him and I also try to hate me.
He has turned me into a bitter woman and he will have to live up with it because I won’t ever give him a divorce,now more than ever I won’t set him free, I will rather suffer and be a bitter woman than to see him happy with Andrea.
I got to the rest room to see Andrea standing in front of the mirror Starring at her self
“Did you come here to sulk?”I asked
“I should be asking you that?”she returned softly
“What do you mean?”
“It’s obvious that you and Max aren’t getting along, could it be that throu-gh the whole of sixteen years, he never made you happy”She asked having a smile on her face
“You don’t have to answer, it’s all written on your face, he never made you happy ,that is why you are still the bitter Rose, he chose you over me and he never made you happy, am glad that am not in your shoes”she said and walk past me.
Not wanting things to end that way, I went after her only to stĀ©p when I saw Jack by the door
“What do you want?”I yelled at him
“To give you a warning!”
“A warning? Don’t make me laugh”
“You won’t be laughing by the time we finish talking”he replied softly
“What do you want to say then?”I asked
“Stay away from Andrea and I ,if possible take Max and your son and return to the state ……”
“And if I don’t want to?”
“Then I will have to tell Max what happen between you and I just days before he and Andrea broke up years ago “He said
“You wouldn’t dare?”
“You never told Him and am sure that he will be very angry but Andrea wouldn’t care, it’s all in the past but I doubt if it will be the same with Max”
“You have been warned Rose, don’t get me angry,you won’t like the out come”he said and walk off.
I stood there feeling shocked, I thought he would have forgot that ghastly night years ago but he still seem to remember.
Each time I remember it, I hate my self for it, why had I let him do that? Why didn’t I just wait a few more days?
I regret it ever happen and for years have pushed it out of my mind, Jack talking about it today have made me remember and i feel disgusted.
I just hope that no one finds out, if I keep my distance then Jack won’t say a thing , it’s best that I do as he says, now more than ever, I have to be careful of Jack.
ANDREA POV
I got back to the table and I was surprised to see Max alone.
“Is it true?”Max asked starring at me
“What?”i asked feigning ignorance
“Do you really have a child?”he asked again
“Yes I do”I replied
“How old ?”
“Sixteen !”I said softly
“A girl or a boy?”He asked again
“A girl”I replied
“Is she perhaps……..perhaps is she……”
“She is not yours, so stĀ©p imagining things and just focus on your wife, you were able to start a new life with Rose, I did the same thing, I moved on with some one else and I had a child with him”I said softly
,”Then what about the k!sswe shared, how will you explain that ?”he asked
“It meant nothing! I doubt it also meant some thing to you Max, I will be working with you but from today hence fourth and I hope you act professional cause I will be doing the same thing Sir!”I said
“But I…….”
“I went to the rest room in search of you”Jack said cutting him off
“Can we now! I have to get up early for work tomorrow”I said getting up
“Of course we can “Jack said picking up his jacket and with out a word to Max,I left the restaurant.

DANIEL POV
I layed on my be-d scrolling throu-gh Mary profile.
A lot of dancing video of her self and pictures were all there.
I found my self going throu-gh each and every one of them.
Some of them I find it cute and some I find it to be cute too.
I had gotten her angry this morning and I hope that I will find a way to correct my mistake.
I wouldn’t deny that I had let my anger take over but I had to know if she had some thing to do with James and her reaction helped clearify it, she doesn’t have any thing to do with him.i thought feeling happy and excited.
I was still checking out the card when I heard my mom yelling from her room.
“It has started again?”I muttered to my self.
I stood up and head towards their room,if some one doesn’t interfere, they wouldn’t quit it.
“You still love her! You can’t deny it “My mom yelled and that made me stĀ©p.
“StĀ©p bugging me and just leave me alone”My father yelled in return
Just a while ago they had both left together to dine out and now they are back yelling off each other head.
“Admit it Max! When you saw her today you regret not choosing her, you regret choosing me and your son over the love of your life, admit it Max and stĀ©p being a cowa……….”
“Yes okay! Yes I regret it, is that what you want to hear! I regret having married you,I regret leaving her back then, I regret going to the states, I regret it all Rose!” My father yelled and it was quiet for a while.
“You bastard! How can you say this to me! After giving you my love, after staying with you for years,this is how you repay me?”My mom yelled again
“I never asked for your love rose and you knew what the score was when you married me, I made it clear to you that my heart belongs to some one else and that it will never ever belong to you”He said
“I hate you! I hate you ! I hate you so much “I heard my mom yelling and quic-kly I went into their room only to see my mom hitting him
quic-kly I went to her and pu-ll-ed her from him “I hate you Max! I hate you so much!”She yelled at him
“It’s enough mom”I said holding her
“Just leave! You have done enough as it is, go away!”I yelled at my dad who hesitated at first and then he walked out of the room
It took a while before my mom stĀ©pped crying.
“Is this a new lover of his?” I asked
“No, she has been his first love “she replied
“And is it because of her that he has been acting this way towards us ?”I asked
” Yes Daniel, I met her again today, that lady is so shameless,she is willing to keep on seeing your father, have tried to keep them ap@rt but she keeps on coming back, am so worried, what can I do Daniel, I love your father even though he doesn’t love me”she said crying and i hvgged her ti-ght.
“It’s his problem if he doesn’t love us, you don’t have to f0rƧĀ£ your self on him “I said softly
“Don’t you think it’s time that you got a divorce mom”I said softly
“I don’t believe in divorce and I don’t think I want a divorce”she said softly
“But mom! will you keep on going throu-gh this for the rest of your life?”I asked
“If I have to,I will, I love him Daniel, I love him that I can’t dare to leave him” she said and i nodded slowly.
After a while she dozed off, I put the sheets over her and left the room, gently closing the door.
I turned only to see my dad by the door m, seems like he was waiting for us to finish our bonding session
“She is still in a bad mood dad, I hope you dont cause more tears tonight, she has cried enough”I said
“Do you think that I will really cheat on your mom”he asked when I was Bout to leave
“First time that you ask me that? Why?”I asked softly
“Is your conscience bothering that you want to rid some of it away dad? Fine then rid it away, tell me how many lover you have now or no tell me the name of the woman that have stolen your love from mother and I “he said
“I only stayed back to talk to you but it seems like you are not in a good mood , so I will just take my leave”he said and walked off.
I woke up the next day feeling a bit tired and still angry about last night!
If I had been born in a happy home, would my child hood have been a happy child hood,I thought as I got dressed for school.
I got down stairs and saw my dad at the break fast table having his break fast.
It’s quite odd, I ha-rd ly see him in the morning, I thought as I went to the break fast table.
“Morning!”I said stiffly
“Morning, have your break fast, we will be leaving for your school today!”he said .
“Why?”I asked
“I just want to take you to school today!” He said
“You have never been interested in what I did, so why are you now meddling ?”I asked
“Don’t be rude Daniel, I haven’t been doing things with you doesn’t mean that I am not interested, am just too busy with work ” he said
“If you were really interested, you would have made a time father,your work wouldn’t be more important than us”I said softly
“You won’t un-der stand Daniel, so it’s best that you finish your break fast and we leave for school”he said softly
“Am not hungry, let’s just go”I said and went out of the house.
Together we left for school and as soon as the car stĀ©pped, I got out and was about to leave when he called me back.
Knowing that other students were starring at me, I went back to him.
“I have a clas-s now, so what ever you are going to say have to be quic-k!”I said
“I would like us to spend some time together today!”he said
“I have some school project to do with a friend “I lied
“After that?”he asked
“I will have to do my as-signment”I said
“Isn’t there a way for you to create a chance for me? What about tomorrow?”he asked
“Why are you trying ha-rd to get my attention?why don’t you do what you have always been doing father? Just leave me alone”I said feeling very angry and then I walked off unknown to me Mary was watching every thing.
MARY POV
“Hello Mary”Miranda greeted as soon as I walked into the clas-s room
“Morning,hope am not late for any clas-s?”I asked her
“You are just on time”she replied as she brou-ght out her phone
“Have you heard?”she asked
“I hope it’s not about me and James! Cause have told you guys that nothing is going on between us “I said as I brou-ght out my book
“Oh it’s not about James and you, it’s about Daniel, look at this picture, it’s trending on the school page now”she said showing me a picture of Daniel and a man at the school gate.
“We have all been wondering where he got his hand some look and it’s from his father, just look at the two of them, if I weren’t young,I would have gone after his father”Miranda said
“This man is his dad?”I asked
“Of course, can’t you tell from the h0tness of the two of them”she said
I stared at the picture and i wasn’t seeing the the h0tness from the two men but instead I saw the anger emanating between them.
He had looked angry when he was talking to his dad. did some thing happen between them ? I thought.
Just then he walked into the clas-s room and every one who was talking kept shut to stare at him
He stared at me and for a while our eye locked together but then he looked away.
“Isn’t he so hand some?”Miranda muttered beside me
He is hand some and but some thing else is bothering him and I can tell that it hurts him, I thought to myself.
