Georgia pushed hvgh away and moved back as Gold wax walked in.
“Good morning dad” hvgh greeted, stepping away from Georgia
“hvgh?! You’re early” Goldsax said
“That’s me” hvgh said proudly “always early”
“Georgia?!” Goldsax called with a grin as he walked in to her
“Good morning” Georgia greeted
“I’m very sorry about last night”
“you kept me waiting” Georgia accused
“I’ll be outside” hvgh excused himself and walked out
“The situation was inevitable”
“you weren’t even taking your calls”
“I’m really sorry and I’m gonna make it up to you”
Georgia sm-irked “That means I’m to make a request?”
“yes”
“let’s have dinner together before the engagement. The both of us and your sons so we can get to know each other better before the wedding”
Goldsax nodded in agreement “I’ll inform hvgh and Terry”
“maybe tomorrow night” Georgia suggested
“Alright”
Georgia smiled “Since that’s settled, then let’s go to the event planner. I want everything done and dusted before Thursday”
“let’s go” Goldsax gestured and led her outside.
hvgh was standing by Goldsax’s car when they walked out. They walked to the car and he held the car door open for Georgia to get in.
“I’ll call you” Georgia whispered to hvgh as she got in then he nodded and slammed the door shut
“you seem to be getting along with hvgh than Terry” Goldsax said as the driver drove off
“he’s cheerful, Terry isn’t”
Goldsax chuckled “That’s Terry for you” he said and his phone rang
“who’s calling?” Georgia asked
Goldsax checked the caller ID and replied “Zac” then he answered the call

“put the call on speaker” Georgia whispered to him and he obeyed
📲 I’m at the penthouse now and I was wondering if I could check the CCTV tape since you’re too busy for that now

“what does he want?” Georgia asked when he ended the call
“nothing much.. Just to check the films” Goldsax replied and wra-pped his hand around her shoulder

Goldsax laughed “I’ll always make out time for my wife” he said and Georgia looked away
“Wife?!” she scoffed to herself
“it didn’t work” Zachary told Terry when Goldsax ended the call “he wants to see the film himself”
“what do we do?” Terry asked
“wait till he’s re-ady to see the film” Zachary replied
“What if he finds out Amberle left the penthouse?”
“I don’t know Terry” Zac sighed in frustration “you shouldn’t have let her out”

“Amberle is gonna panic now than ever”
“don’t tell her Goldsax is going to find out”

“why not I just run away with her”
“Terry are you serious? We’re in a sea of trouble and you’re trying to make us drown”
“I just want to go away with Amberle before Goldsax marries Georgia”

“cause I don’t want to see them together. I can’t take Georgia who was supposed to be my wife as a step mother”
“so you want to go away?”
“I want to leave Zac. And this time there will be no returning but I can’t leave Amberle behind”
Zac took in a de-ep breath and asked “does she know?”

Terry chuckled “do I?”
“it’s obvious”
“I don’t think so” Terry said “I just want her to be happy and I don’t want to see anyone go throu-gh what my mom went throu-gh”
“Sneaking out of the penthouse is almost impossible with all Goldsax’s men on duty”
“I could hide her in my car boot”
“how possible would it be bringing her outside?”
Terry thought for a while and replied “then she’ll disguise as a maid”
“those men are smarter than you think Terry”
“are you trying to say there’s no possible way to sneak her out?”
Zachary heaved a de-ep sigh “there is.. If you’re willing to take the risk”

“Amberle?!” Terry called smoothly as he walked into her room.
Amberle was lying on her be-d, facing the wall with the duvet covering her up to her w@!st.

Amberle stirred and sluggishly turned to face him then She opened her eyes slowly.
“Terry?!”
“Amberle are you alright?”
“I’m fine”

Amberle nodded and sat up.
“you don’t look okay” Terry noticed and t©uçhed her forehead
“I’ve been feeling nausea”
“Should I get you drugs?”
Amberle shook her head and hvgged him “I miss my mom.. I’m home sick” she said almost in tears
“that shouldn’t make you sick”
Amberle sniffed “today was supposed to be my parents wedding anniversary”
“it’s alright Amberle, I don’t want you to cry”
Amberle sniffed “I just can’t help it” then she broke down in tears
“don’t cry” Terry pacified but Amberle cried more “Amberle your mom is fine and you have to st©p worrying about her”
“how can I st©p worrying about her when I don’t know if she survived the gunsh0t or not” Amberle sobbe-d
“There’s still no nee-d to cry” Terry said
Amberle whimpered then wiped her tears “thank you”
“I don’t ever want to see you cry, I don’t want to see you hurt” Terry said, wiping her tears with his thumbs
Amberle nodded, trying to hold back her tears “Where’s Zac?”
“he left”
“he didn’t come to see me today”
“he’s busy with something”
“What about the CCTV?”
“there’s nothing to worry about.. Everything is un-der control” Terry said hopefully
Amberle moved away from him and la-id back on the be-d.
“Goldsax is going to kill Barbar”
“the elderly woman?”
Amberle nodded
“why?”
“cause she knows I’m here. Zac is the only one he permits to know I’m in here”
“but he put her in charge of you”
“he says her service is no longer nee-ded”
“Goldsax is a cold blooded animal” Terry said bitterly
“She’s a….” Amberle paused when Terry’s phone started ringing. He reached for the phone and hissed when he saw who was calling.
“you’re not going to take it?” she asked when he tossed the phone on the be-d

“you two don’t get along?”
“it’s me, hvgh isn’t the problem”
“why? Don’t you see him as a brother?”
“not really”
“cause he’s your step brother?”
“I don’t know”
“So you’re going to hate Georgia’s children too”
“Georgia won’t bear children for Goldsax”

“Georgia has a plan and it’s definitely not bearing children for Goldsax.. She’s probably after his wealth”

Terry laughed “how do you expect Georgia to love Goldsax?”he asked back “she’s a slut and Gold digger”
Amberle laughed “you really hate her now”
“so much that I don’t want to see her ever in my life”
“but you’ll be seeing her more often now”
“I’m not gonna stay here and see them get married”
“so you’ll leave?”
Terry glanced at her and he could see the pain in her eyes when she said that.
“Not without you” He said smoothly
“But you’ll stay for the engagement p@rty right? It’s your mom’s birthday?”
“I’ll go to the cemetery.. That’s where I celebr@te her”
“You’ll never move on if you keep doing that.. You’ll keep hating everyone who didn’t plea-se your mom”
“I know.. But I don’t plan on moving on”
“you’re supposed to hate me too for taking your mom’s place”

Amberle shook her head.
Terry made to glance at his wrist watch but Amberle gr@bb£d his hand.
“don’t check the time”
Terry gazed at her “I’ll end up staying here till dusk”
“I don’t mind” Amberle stated nonchalantly and took off his watch
“what if Goldsax walks in on us”
“you’re his son– he won’t kill you”
“What makes you think Goldsax loves me? I’m an illegitimate son, hvgh is the legitimate one”

Terry chuckled “I love him and you love him too”

“Zac has a crush?” Terry asked in surprise

Terry paused and gave her a square look “Charlotte is his crush?”

Amberle frowned “You’re lying”
“I really don’t know” Terry insisted but Amberle wasn’t buying it “Amberle I’m not saying this of my will but most times, we do things we don’t really want to do”
Amberle handed him his wrist watch “s£nd my love to Zac”
“I won’t be bringing you dinner”
“why?”
“The CCTV. And I don’t think you’ll be seeing much of me this time”

Terry gazed at her for a while then got up to his feet “take care of yourself”

Terry heaved a de-ep sigh and reluctantly walked out of the room.
Amberle reached for a pillow and hvgged it ti-ght. She suddenly started feeling nauseous again.

“why didn’t you answer my call?” hvgh asked when Terry stepped into the mansion. Terry ignored him and start up the stairs.
“I’m talking to you Terry” hvgh yelled but Terry didn’t st©p
Zac walked in and met hvgh shouting.
“what’s wrong?” He asked
“it’s Nerissa’s bastard s….” hvgh hadn’t completed his statement when a b!ow landed on his face and he staggard back
“Terry?!” Zac called and rushed to st©p Terry
Terry yanked him off and gr@bb£d hvgh by the collar.
“I’m sorry” hvgh replied and Terry punched him again
“Terry that’s enough” Zac stated and dragged Terry out
They got outside Terry yanked Zac off “you should’ve let me kill him?”
“he’s your blood”
Terry scoffed and sat on the pavement “is Goldsax back?”
“no.. He won’t be returning until its dark”
“so when will he check the CCTV?”
“he called to inform me he’d be checking it on his engagement night, before the p@rty”
Terry got up and said “I’ll be in my room” and he walked inside
