Kayden went back to his room and laid heavily on the bed. He inhaled deeply and looked up at the ceiling,, placing his both hands on his stomach.
“Why aren’t they calling? She’s getting me really worried now. Or, did Dora’s mum send Molly out of the house” He thought.
“Should I call him now?… I mean Kayden. He’s worried sick about you. He’s missing you like crazy and wants to speak with you. He wanted to come over but he said he was kind of scared your mother would rant” Molly said.
Dora sniffed.
“Don’t call him”
“Why not? You don’t want him to hear your crying voice? It’s okay. Who knows if he might cry hard when he hears your voice” Molly forced a smile.
“Not that,, I mean i don’t wanna call him. I wanna see his face instead,, and hear his voice”Dora said.
“Ah..” Sasha gasped.
“Hey,, what about your mum? What if she catches you face timing? What are you gonna do then?” Molly asked.
“I’m just gonna slip out. I wanna video call him instead. That’s better than voice call,, don’t you agree?”Dora said
Molly inhaled and nodded.
“Okay then. I’m gonna video call him now? You ready, right?”
Dora gave a small smile and nodded.
As Molly called, Dora practiced inhalation and exhalation.

Kayden heard his phone ringing loudly. He sprang up on his feet and grabbed his phone from the table.
He saw it was a video call from Molly,He blinked his eyes nervously and cleared his throat, stroked his hair and wiped his face with his palm before answering the call.
“Dora?” He called, after seeing her face.
Molly was behind her,, looking elsewhere.
“Sexy chef” Dora muttered, letting her eyes bring out tears.
“I miss you so much” Kayden muttered, with his eyes wet already with clear tears.
Dora sobbed and wiped her tears off.
“I’m sorry for leaving you like that”Dora said
“No,, it’s not your fault. It’s Avia. Molly must have explained what happened”
Dora nodded.
“How are you feeling now?” He asked.
Dora sniffed, wondering why her tears refused to stop pouring.
“To be honest,, I’m not fine”
“Why not? What’s wrong?” Kayden asked.
“I…I… finally got to know I’m a product of rape”Dora shuttered
Kayden looked at her silently
Dora blinked her eyes, and thought there was a network problem since he just stared like a statue.
Dora later knew he was just numb after seeing a line of tear run down his left eye.
“Babe?…How… How are you feeling?… I know it really hurt but… please, stay strong” He muttered, crying.
“I’m not fine..My chest keeps hurting. My head keeps aching… I don’t know what to do anymore. My mother doesn’t even know who he was. He was simply a mere drunk stranger who raped her and left. No one even knows if he’s a New York or Italian since she got raped in Ny” Dora said, crying.
Molly who was hearing all these, began to cry too. It was emotional and so hurting.
Kayden sniffed aloud and took his eyes down.
“Everything will be fine” He said.
“I hope so… I really hope so. I also pity my mum. She finally fell in love but I scattered her love life for her and she ain’t complaining and here I am,, complaining of her controlling my life and dreams when I recently controlled her love life”Dora cried
Kayden sighed.
“I’m a bad daughter,, don’t you think?” She asked.
Kayden shook his head.
“No,, you are a daughter who just wanted a simple life. Who never knew anything about hurting others intentionally. Assuming you knew before hand, you would have done the needful” He said.
Kayden watched her cry. She was in pains… Telling her, he was leaving Italy for NY and wouldn’t be coming back in 8 years might pierce her soul forever. Why not ask her a break up instead? But seeing her like this, hurts him so much. He’s so bitter and afraid to ask.
“Sexy chef?” Dora called.
He looked at her, and muttered a hmm.
“I grew up in Ny,, you know,, surprising huh? Well,,, I fell in love there then, and promised to keep my heart and see the person again… Guess what,, I did see the person. No, I’ve been with the person ever since” She said, slowly with a soft voice.
Kayden listened attentively.
“The person… that is, my childhood sweetheart happened to be Raymond”
Kayden swallowed hard.
“Kayden?” She muttered calling his real name for the first time through the video call. She had tears flowing down her cheeks. Her face is already so wet.
“Yes?”
“I have a wish” She muttered.
“Huh?… What is it? Ask and it will be granted”
Despite the tears pouring all over,, she managed to bring a big smile.
“Let’s break up”
Kayden stared at her for a while, without saying anything.
Bella woke up from the bed, and looked around. She looked at the clock and sighed.
“Gosh,, thank goodness today is a free day. Can’t believe I slept till 10:50am” She forced a smile.
“Mum!” Dora shouted, from downstairs.
“Huh? Is that Dora? Why is she sounding so happy? Did something happen? I thought she didn’t want to talk to me..
“Mum! Hurry!” Dora’s voice came again.
“Uhm… I’m coming,, oh goodness” Bella said, and left the bed. She walks out and ran downstairs.
She opened her mouth in surprise. Dora had finished arranging everywhere. She tidied the while sitting room,, that it sparkled.
“Hey,, what happened here?”Bella asked, quite shocked.
She looked at the front and saw Dora standing with a huge smile on her face.
“What’s going on, Dora?” Bella asked.
Dora ran to her and hugged her tight.
“Mum… I missed you” She whispered, shutting her eyes.
“Hey,, what’s up with you? You are scaring me,, you know? Did you eat something bad?” Bella asked.
Dora chuckled and broke the hug. She looked at her mother face and touched it.
“Mum,, I made breakfast. Let’s eat”
Bella stared at her and sighed.
“Okay then,, let’s go”

They were still eating and talking when Bella spoon fell off her hand. She had tears running down her eyes.
“I should have sack that Mike! I never knew he was such a gossiper. Why would he tell you my stuff story I begged him to keep”Bella screamed
“What are you talking about? He never gossiped. He said what he had to say” Dora said softly.
Bella wiped her tears.
“Mum. I’m sorry” Dora muttered, and tears escaped from her eyes.
Bella sighed and stretched her hand towards Dora’s face. She wiped her tears and stroked her hair.
“It’s okay, Dora… It’s fine. I’m also sorry for pushing you to follow my dreams. Now, you can do what you love to do, okay?”
Dora nodded.
“I have something that i would love to do”
“Really? What is it?” Bella asked.
“Mum,, actually… I…
The door bell ran allowing the two to stop talking
“Who could that be?” Bella asked, and stood up.
“Let me go check,, hold on” Dora said, and walked to the door.
“Wait,, Dora! Don’t! No,, I don’t want others to see you. Geez,, what if it’s Renee? What will I tell her? She will think I’m lying”Bella said
Dora sighed.
“Mum? It’s fine. I’m gonna explain everything to them and allow them to scold and yell at me as they want. They can ever hurl cussing words at me,, I don’t care. You are not at fault here” Dora said
Bella looked at her and a smile ran to the corner of her lips. She gestured at her to open the door which she did.
At the other side of the door, stood Mike with a nervous smile.
“Met them here,, sorry but I couldn’t stop them” He said.
Dora blinked her eyes, perplexed.
Mike walked in and Renee’s face showed in line. Then, Kelvin. Molly and Edward came in afterwards.
“Don’t just stand there,, come in” Mike said.
They all looked at Dora and walked in. Molly stroked Dora’s shoulder gently before walking in.
Dora kept on staring outside. She was waiting for someone.
“Where is…
She paused when she saw a bike pull up, outside.
“Raymond” She smiled, saying with a soft voice.
Raymond removed the helmet off his face and shook his head,, allowing his hair to move vigorously.
He finally turned and looked at her.
Smiling brightly, he asked;
“Hope I’m not late?”
Dora beamed and ran to him. She threw her arms around his body and hugged him.
“You aren’t late, my hugger” She whispered.
Raymond who was quite shocked, gave a smile before returning back the hug.
