Clef took out his dagger from his sash immediately and dug it into the opening mouth of the zombie.
The zombie screamed and Clef dug it again, while blood, splattered all over his face and shirt.
After stucking it four times more, he pushed the weak and dying zombie away and slid his bo-dy on the floor down to where his sniper rifle laid.
He grabbed it instantly and began shooting all over, yelling from the ground he laid on.
The zombies were all falling and dying with immediate effect. After killing the ones close to him, he stood up and faced Kristen and Lia’s side.
He fired a lot, and the zombies fell down, dying. Now, they were free. However, more were still coming in from the window.
“Let’s go!” He shouted, and opened the door. Kristen and Lia followed him. As they ran out, The zombies kept following them and growling.
As they kept running throu-ghthe p@$$age way, they kept kicking and pushing the doors to check a free and safe room.
But instead, there were all zombies in there and those ones came out and started adding to the others who were giving them a hot pursuit.
At last, Lia opened a door and it was safe.
“Clef! Kristen! In here!!” She yelled, and waved her hand.
They ran in and she locked the door. The zombies stopped right there, kicking the door and hitting it.
Clef inhaled dee-ply and sat down. Lia sat close to him and Kristen did to.
“You saved us. Thank you, Clef” Kristen muttered.
He only nodded cause he was too weak to say anything. He just kept pa-nting.
“Clef….I’m sorry about what happened there. You nearly died cause of me. I’m Fu-cking selfish” Lia sniffed.
“I’m fine” He muttered.
“You must be tired” Lia said.
He exhaled.
“Water” He muttered.
“Why didn’t you drink the water I was drinking then” Lia said.
“Geez! That dirty aquarium??. It Fu-cking not healthy. You could contact diseases and stomach ache” Kristen said.
“Well, I drank it and I’m fine” Lia said.
“Sorry, Clef. There isn’t no water here. So, please,, just have a good sleep now” She said.
Clef nodded and closed his eyes.
“I’m gonna sleep too” Kristen said.
Lia nodded and watched them sleep.
She stood up and looked around the room.
“Awwn… It’s a music cl@$$room” Lia smiled, after her eyes fell on various musical instruments like the piano, violin, guitar, triangle, keyboard, accordion, and a lot more.
Suddenly, there was a loud growl. She trembled and looked around. She brou-ght out her last pistol and swallowed ha-rd, pointing at the door.
“Who’s that?” She asked.
The growl came again and she mo-aned. It was from her stomach. The pistol fell off her hand, and she took her arms around her stomach.
She mo-aned in pains, closing her eyes ti-ghtly, as sweat were forming on her bo-dy.
“My stomach. It hurts like crazy” She gr-unted, holding onto it ti-ghter.
The Next Morning***
“I hope we are set?” Miss Hannah asked.
“Yeah…” They all said.
“Ma’am… Will this barricade be able to keep the zombies away though?” Lilian asked, as they all stared at the tables they all made as a round obstacle.
They would all stay in it like a room while holding onto it and walking away and the zombies won’t be able to pene-trate into them. It was more like a shield.
“Yes, sure” Miss Hannah smiled.
“Renee??” Tessa called.
“Yes?!” Renee answered, from the ceiling.
“Goodness… I thought you left since we didn’t hear from you again. I guess you are still there” Tessa said.
“Sure” Renee smiled.
“We are thinking of going to the principal’s office. Do you wanna come along?” Tessa asked.
“Sure!!!” A male voice sounded.
“Jake!” Tessa shouted.
Vera wide-ned her eyes, and walked closer to Tessa.
“Jake? Is that you!” Tessa asked.
“Yeah” He replied, with a giggle.
“Thank goodness. When did you come?” Tessa asked.
“Just yesterday evening”
“Mabel! What of Mabel? How come she isn’t talking? Isn’t she with you?” Vera rushed her words.
Nora blinked in fear, and swallowed ha-rd. She slowly took a few steps backwards, with trembling bo-dy.
“Mabel? The last time I saw Mabel was with Nora. We were in a cl@$$ together before we were attacked by zombies” Jake explained.
“What do you mean? Nora said-
Connor held Vera shoulder, allowing her vibr@ting voice to end.
“What’s it?” She demanded.
“Don’t rush and just take a de-ep breath. Mabel will be fine. Let’s all just go to Jake and Renee so that they can explain better. Seeing for yourself is better than hearing it,, don’t you think?” Connor asked.
“Connor is right. Let’s all go outside. Let’s all enter the barricade. Make sure to hold it well cause any mistake can allow the zombie to attack” Miss Hannah said and they all nodded.
They all entered it, and held it, carrying in against their bodies. Miss Hannah also entered, with one hand busily holding onto the mop stick for defense.
Nora looked down,, at the barricade and looked at everyone.
“Guys. The barricade isn’t properly closed below. Its quite exp-osed” She said.
“Yeah. It really can’t reach the down. We tried to create something though” Connor said.
It was the guys who built the barricade using tables, and ropes, wires, and few nails around, which they use a stick in hitting.
“Oh…Okay then. But please, we should all be careful. Let’s stay safe. Don’t get bitten and don’t get scratched” Nora said.
“You don’t have to tell us. We know” Lucas said.
“Why are you too scared then? We won’t get bitten,,, just believe” Vera smiled.
Nora nodded, and for-ced a small smile.
“Let’s go” Miss Hannah said, as they all moved.
They got to the door and Miss Hannah unlocked the door. Everyone was at alert now.
They went outside and only few zombies were there. But when they smelt them, they turned and growled.
“Fast… Fast…” Connor advised as they all moved.
Some zombies stretched their hands above the barricade to grab them but they were all dodging it.
“Where are we going to go now?” Frank asked.
“To the cl@$$ room where Jake and Renee are. The p@$$ageway there, also leads to that witch’s office” Miss Hannah said.
“Okay… Let’s go” Connor said as they all continued moving, while holding onto the heavy barricade.
Miss Hannah was really a helping hand cause she was the one hitting the zombies which were trying to bring down the barricade. She was hitting them with the big mop stick.
A zombie laid down and wanted to grab Tessa leg. Doris saw this and wide-ned her eyes.
She quickly kicked it, saving Tessa who wasn’t even aware of what was happing down there.
However, the hand returned again, and grabbed Doris leg. She gasped lowly and pulled her leg away, kicking the zombie’s hand aggressively.
Finally, it went away but it didn’t stop trying to move away from them. It followed the barricade, walking sluggishly.
“What is it, Doris?” Tessa asked, now looking down.
“Huh?” Doris muttered.
“Nothing. Something got into my stocking” She laughed, lowly.
Tessa smiled at her.
The zombies were now around them and was beginning to get too much than usual.
They manage to use the heavy barricade to hit them and they fell.
“Run now!!” Miss Hannah shouted, and they all ran, struggling to still hold onto the barricade.
The fast running lead to another thing. The barricade crashed onto the ha-rd wall and it broke, scattering the joints.
They raised it up but it was broken now. It was falling off.
“I guess we don’t nee-d this anymore. Run, everyone!” Lucas said, leaving the barricade
They all left it, running fast, no one wanted to be at the back. Doris and Tessa was holding their hands as they ran.
“Doris?” Tessa called.
Doris only glanced at her.
“Your bag? Isn’t it dragging you back? Pull it off” Tessa said.
Doris shook her head.
“You found this for me”
“Still-
“You told me not to lose it so please, I don’t wanna lose it”
They dodged a zombie which wanted to hold onto them and Doris quickly hit it away with her bag. The zombie fell off.
“See,,, My bag just saved us” Doris smiled.
“Its sure did” Tessa chuckled, still running.
They were the only ones at the back, alongside Frank.
“Help!!!” They suddenly heard a loud and painful voice.
They stopped and turned back to see about 5 zombies already on him. Three were feasting on his arms while two were feasting on his face.
He could ha-rdly move.
“Help me,,, please!” He cried.
Tessa blinked her lids and slowly let go Doris hand.
“Tessa? It’s too late already!!” Connor shouted.
Tessa eyes were now gl@$$y. It was soaked with eyes. She couldn’t move. She just watched the busy zombies feasting on Frank.
They were now getting much around him. Tessa was getting angry now. Red veins were now beginning to rise on her face.
Doris and others were behind her so they couldn’t see what was going on with her face.
“Tessa?” Doris called and held her hand.
Her face then got better.
“I’ll kill them all!!!” She screamed.
“Yes… but now,,, please,,,, let’s go!” Doris begged.
Tessa nodded, and continued running. They saw the others entering the cl@$$ and they also did too.
Immediately, they did, Zombies went around the door and Jake quickly slammed it on their faces and locked it.
“Jake!!” Tessa shouted,, and hu-gged him, climbing onto his bo-dy.
“I’ve missed you… Thank goodness you are fine” She added.
Jake smiled, and broke the hu-g. He looked at her and ki-ssed her li-ps softly.
“I’m fine and thank God you are fine too. We will all be safe,, and come out alive. Everything will be fine”
Tessa nodded.
“Hmm…Hmm” Miss Hannah cleared her throat.
Doris giggled and walked to a hidden corner. She took down her bag and bent down.
She pulled down her right sock and saw a fin-gerscratch there. She inhaled dee-ply and a tear fell.
Doris saw a little vein creating on the walls of her bo-dy where the scratch was located.
It seemed to be traveling slowly. She wiped off her tear and pulled her shoe away.
She took off the right sock and tied it around the scratch. She wore her shoe back and took off her left shoe, and her left sock. She kept it inside her bag and stood up.
“Doris? Doris??” Tessa called.
A tear ran down Doris eyes. She quickly wiped off and formed a smile on her face.
“Coming!” Doris giggled and came out.
Tessa smiled, ran to her and held her hand, watching Doris face beam with joy.
“Come on…” Tessa said, and swerved her ne-ck a bit to the right.
“Yeah.. Let’s go” Doris whispered.
