Tessa quickly rolled on the ground before the lightening could get to her.
“Who are you? And what do you want from me?” Tessa asked.
The man smi-rked and walked towards her. Tessa took her eyes up to look at him. She was still sitting on the floor.
“I’m Gafri,, the guardian of this territory and you dare pwi-nk throu-ghmy territory this late at night with no fear!” He bellowed.
Tessa scanned her eyes on him and sighed.
“You are Gafri, the wicked and mean guardian of the west territory located in this woods. You kill people and even supernaturals with your magic stick” Tessa said, looking at the hu-ge stick he was holding.
“The stick provides fire ba-lls and lightning to the person you would like to terminate. Whoa” Tessa chuckled.
“Well,, guess what. whoever you are,, don’t wanna know… you will be dying tonight!” He screamed.
“Wait. your phobia are vampires. You haven’t killed any of them cause there is enmity between you both”
“Why are you talking about that now?” He snarled.
Tessa smi-rked and took away a piece of the broken milk bottle without his notice.
“Hold on? You know any vampire? You want them to save you? It’s too late for you,, you know!” He laughed and raised his stick ready to strike.
However, Tessa was fast in slicing her palm. She stood up and quickly spilled the blood that fell from her de-ep cut,, on his bo-dy.
“What… what is this? Did you just pour blood on me!” He yelled.
“Not just any blood… sweet blood” Tessa smiled.
“Meani-
He paused when he heard growls. It was the vampires coming already. Some of them had smelt it from miles away.
“Goodbye, Gafri and bon appetite to them” Tessa said and quickly ran away.
“No! No! What did you do!” Gafri shouted.
At once, The vampires all jumped on him and began to feast on him. He shouted in pains and his stick fell off his hand.
Despite trying to struggle, they were still stronger than him so they manage to eat him, rip him apa-rt and feast.
Also, Tessa was in danger. She looked back and saw 3 vampires chasing her.
“Oh no. This is not good” She muttered.
She looked at her palm and saw that the cut was not there any longer. It had close up already. But her blood was still stained there.
She stumbled on a rock and was about falling but someone quickly gra-bbe-d her.
“Please… please,, don’t eat me” She begged, sobbing.
“Eat you?… I’m here to save you” The person chuckled.
Tessa looked and saw…
“Jake?”
“Yup. It me. I noticed you were in danger, thanks to my good hearing and sight. So, I came to save you… but you don’t know how I’m trying to resist eating you right now”
“Hey!” Tessa shouted and he chuckled.
“Run!” He suddenly screamed and they quickly ran.
Tessa looked at him and smiled. She felt her heart beating again. Jake quickly took her beside a tree trunk.
“Stay here” He pa-nted.
“Why?” Tessa said.
“I’ll be right back,, I promise” He smiled and stro-ked her face.
He was about leaving but she quickly gra-bbe-d his arm. She had tears in her eyes already. She shook her head fast.
“Please,, don’t go. Don’t promise me anything either and let’s run. Remember, Mason promised Mabel. Yet, it got broken”
Jake smiled.
“I’m Jake,, not Mason. If we keep running, they are gonna still catch us and kill us. Do you want that?”
She shook her head.
“Okay then. Stay here. I promise to come back for you” He said and slowly let of her.
Tessa quickly squ-atted. She started hearing snarling, sma-cking, gr-unting and all manner of sounds to show there was a big fight going on.
“Jake” She whimpered. She closed her ear as tears rolled down her eyes.

A cold hand tou-ched Tessa shoulder which made she shiver. She quickly looked up and when she saw Jake, she stood up on her feet and re-moved her hands covering her ears.
“Jake” She whispered.
“Look at your face. They really hit you bad” She almost cried again.
His face has cuts and wounds. It was quite red as well.
“Its okay. I heal fast. This might not heal on time as usual though since I was attacked by a fellow vampire. They have powerful claws” He chuckled.
“I’m sorry” She sobbe-d.
“Huh? Don’t cry. I’m fine, seriously”
“But I’m not fine. Seeing you like this makes me feel bad. Its my fault. I’m sorry and thank you for saving me” She said.
“Its okay, alright? Now, let’s leave. More might co- He paused when Tessa quickly hu-gged him around his shoulders.
His eyes wi-dened his surprise.
“Tessa” He whispered.
“1 minute. Just a minute,, please” She whispered back.
After 30 seconds, he pulled her away.
“Let’s go now” He said, dodging her eyes.
“What’s it? It remaining 30 more seconds. I asked for me a minute, remember”
“Let’s just go!” He screamed, still dodging her eyes.
“Jake? What’s it? Did I do something wrong? You are scaring me? And why can’t you look at me in the eyes?”
“Nothing. Let’s go, Tessa”
“Look at me” Tessa quickly took her hands to his face and raised it to hers.
She saw his red eyes now glowing. His fangs in his mouth were appearing in his mouth. It was sharp and long too. His claws were rising up too.
“Jake” She whispered, looking dee-ply into his eyes, still not talking her hands away from his face.
“I can’t control it. I badly wanna bite and drink your blood. Let’s just go. No,, its better you go on your own. It sees everywhere and things has died down” He said.
Tessa felt a tear run down her right eye. She quickly hu-gged him again.
“Why are you so stubborn? Aren’t you scared I might kill and eat you?” He asked.
She sighed.
“I’m scared” She replied.
“Then why are you hu-gging me? You think I won’t do it cause I saved you or something?”
“No… I’m hu-gging you cause it remains 30 seconds. You shouldn’t break your hu-g promise” She said, hu-gging him ti-ghter.

They were both seated on the bench close to a small house. Tessa bought a plaster and pasted it on his left cheek which had a red cut.
“There,, done” Tessa said.
“Thank you” He muttered.
Tessa nodded.
“Your eyes is still red” She said.
“It won’t go away till you leave. I fought with my fangs and claws before it went back to normal. My eyes is scaring you, right?” He asked.
“No” She quickly shook her head.
She tou-ched his face.
“It looks great on you. Your vampire eyes are beautiful. If any girl sees you,, they might fall in love with you cause of the color of your eyes”
“They might think it’s artificial lens” He laughed.
“I guess” She chuckled, slowly taking her hand away from his face but he quickly held it.
Tessa looked dee-ply at him and saw his fangs and claws coming out again. She swallowed ha-rd waiting for the worst.
“I’m really trying to suppress my urge to drink your blood right now. Don’t say I didn’t warn you” He whispered.
Tessa didn’t say anything. She simply closed her eyes fast. She felt his nose already on her ne-ck.
He was trying to bite her. She ti-ghtened the lids of her eyes and Jake also ti-ghtened his hold on her hand which rested on his thi-ghs.
Jake whose eyes were closed, opened it quickly. His mouth were opened, ready to bite and devour.
He shook his head, and from her ne-ck where his l-ips gently rested, he swiftly dived and took it to her l-ips.
Tessa slowly opened her eyes and saw Jake’s l-ips were relaxing of hers. She blinked fast when he saw his l-ips pa-rting and sinking into her mouth.
She pa-rted her l-ips for him and this permitted Jake to ki$$ her.
He ki$$ed her dee-ply like there was no tomorrow and she quickly ki$$ed him back allowing their tongues to meet and dance around.
They su-cked their l-ips which led to estacy. By now, Tessa’s eyes were gently closed.
At the far end, Connor watched them sadly. He sighed dee-ply and looked down.
“I’m late again… ” He whispered
If only I was a vampire,,, maybe I would have noticed she was on danger on time. Maybe i would be the first to save her. Maybe I would be the one ki$$ing her this way”
“I don’t wanna be a hybrid anymore” He added, and a hot tear ran down his red eyes.
