“Megan, are you re-ady”. linda asked her wolf.
“as re-ady as I’ll ever be”.
truly, getting the wolf’s bane hadn’t been easy, but she blessed the moon goddess for having a faithful and loyal person like Clara.
Clara has been with her for a very long time and she can never doubt her loyalty to her, she had begged her to follow her on this mission but no, she can’t allow that, the last thing she wants was to put Clara is danger, and so she’s refused to let her come.
“hey, enough thinking, we’ll forever be grateful to her, but for now, let’s get going, there’s no much time to waste”. Megan said.
“sure Megan, you’re right, let’s go”. she replied as she crept out of the house throu-gh the back door.
***few minutes later***
“$h!t,this place is heavily guarded”. megan growled.
“you sure are right about that one”. Linda replied,stretching her n£¢k to get a good look at the place.
She had masked her scent by applying mud on her face and b©dy, at least that way, they wouldn’t be able to sniff her out.
The place was a hvge building, built far away from the pack, it was well hidden by the hvge trees,which now serve as her hide out.
Thank God she was a werewolf, her s-en-ses were super sharp, now she’s counted 20 hefty wolf guards, but she had no idea how many would be inside.
“where the fv¢k did that crazy mate of ours get guards like that”. Megan yelled in her head.
“I don’t know Megan, but we’re taking them down”. Linda replied, feeling very determined to accomplish what she c@m£ here for.
“yoo hoo, that’s right, you go girl”. megan cheered in her head, and she smiled at her wolf.
“haha,thanks megan, it’s showtime”. She said, taking out her mask from the little backpack she had brou-ght along, in it contains the things she’ll be nee-ding, and most importantly, the wolf’s bane, hehehe ???.
she wore a nose cover first, then she pu-ll-ed the black mask over her head, don’t nee-d her identity being revealed.
“let’s go”. she said, running with a speed to the building, the wolf’s bane in her right hand.
“hey boys”. she sm-irked mischievously behind the mask.
“who are you?, leave this place right now, it’s prohibited”. one of the guards said, growling ferociously at her.
“you know, why don’t you just calm down and let’s settle this quietly”.
“leave now, or face your end woman”. another guard growled.
“I have a deal”. she said, twirling the wolf’s bane which was ti-ghtly sealed in a container.
“let me in, and I’ll let you live”. she said, and the guards stared at each other before giving a loud laugh of mockery.
“nice threat lady, but don’t make us let you leave the ha-rd way”. another guard said.
“ha, stupid wolves”. she said loudly.
“foolish woman, you would die for this”. another guard yelled angrily at her.
“???,I would love to see y’all try”. she replied, flexing her muscles.
cracking of bones could be heard as they were all transforming to their wolves.
“you’re re-ady megan”.
“let’s do this girl”.
“ok, on three”. she replied, tou-ching the lid of the container as she scanned each wolf carefully.
“1”.
“2”. she counted,waiting for the transformation to be complete.
“3”. She growled , taking the wolf’s bane and throwing it at them.
they all growled angrily at her and were about to attack, when they felt the effect of the wolf’s bane, and one by one, they each dropped to the floor unconscious, they shifted to their human form and were n-ked.
“oops”. Linda muttered
“phew, easy”. Megan sighed.
“thank you moon goddess”. Linda said.
“you’re sure they won’t die”.
“c’mon Megan ?,it’ll just knock em out, it’s not enough to kill them”. she rolled her eyes at her wolf.
“now, let’s go check inside”. she said as she carefully walked towards the entrance of the building, she was careful not to step on the wolves.
she sniffed the air before going inside, and she was surprised to not see any wolf guard.
“what the hell, there’s no one here”. Megan scoffed.
”bet he thought those hvge wolves could do the thing”. Linda replied.
“it’s dark in here, let’s see if we can find a switch or something”.megan said.
“ha ?Megan, do we even nee-d that, our sight is so sharp alre-ady”. she scoffed.
“whatever, just do it”. megan ordered.
“yea, yeah, whatever”. She rolled her eyes, turning her head left, right, looking for the switch to turn on the lights.
“there, found it”. she said, moving to one side of the building where there was a switch on the wall, fl!çk!ng it on, the whole building lighted up.

she began sniffing the air, trying to get a scent.
“Linda, concentrate, there’s definitely someone here”. Megan said.
Linda took a de-ep breath, calming her nerves as she closed her eyes, using her wolf hearing, she tried picking up a sound and bingo!, she heard something or (someone).
“megan, someone’s here”. she said, sniffing the air once more, she got a scent and began trailing it, using both her s-en-se of smell and hearing, she walked hastily towards where she was getting the scent from.
she kept on trailing the scent till she got to a hvge metallic door, still inside the building.
“fv¢k,how do we do this”. she muttered, staring angrily at the hvge metallic door.
“you dummy, break the handle”. Megan growled impatiently.
“ok miss smarty p@n-ts “. She replied, holding the handle of the hvge metallic door, she twisted it with all her might and finally, it broke.
“yes! “. She cheered happily.
“ok linda, this is it, let’s go in”. Megan said and linda’s heart began to race fas-ter,all her s-en-ses at alert as she pushed open the door.
thankfully, it wasn’t dark in here, she got in and then she saw a cell.
“who the fv¢k is he holding captive here”. Megan said.
”I have no idea, let’s check”. she said, moving closer towards the cell.
”he… Hello”. she called out.
“who’s there”. *no answer*.
“plea-se show yourself, I mean you no harm”. she said in a calm voice.
“Linda, there’s someone there, someone with an awful smell”. Megan frowned.
“shut up megan”.
“okay…. I’ll leave if you don’t wanna come out”. she said, hoping this would make the person come out.
“okay…. I’m leaving”. she said as she made to leave the room, when a voice st©pped her.
“wait”. the voice said, causing her to st©p.
“who are you,show yourself”. she replied as she turned back staring at the cell.
she heard the person gr-unt as he/she stood up,slowly the person walked, coming into the light.
Linda pu-ll-ed off her mask as she c@m£ face to face with a very frail looking old lady, the woman was so frail that it looked as if she was about to break soon.

“you?”. linda g@sp in shock as she saw the familiar face of the old lady, she’s seen her somewhere but she just can’t remember where.
“do you know me”. the lady asked in a very hoarse voice, more like a whisper, if she hadn’t been a werewolf, she wouldn’t have been able to hear what she said.
“I I. I don’t”. she stuttered still thinking about where she’s seen this face before.
“plea-se, who are you, why are you here, how long have you been kept in here”. she asked.
“plea-se, help me”. and that was the only thing the old lady managed to say before she pas-sed out.
“fv¢k,megan,what do we do”. linda panicked.
“linda, we can’t leave her here, let’s help her”. Megan said.
“b… but, Damien, what if he finds out”.
“forget about that linda, look at, she doesn’t look like she’ll be able to last long without proper care, she’ll die if we leave her here, you wanted to find out the truth and now you’ve got what you wanted, let’s get her away from here, we’ll be able to find out more about her, who she is, why is she being kept here, I’m sure there’s so much more to the story”. megan growled.
“ok, you’re right, I’m sorry, but where do we keep her, we can’t take her home, damien would definitely find out”.
“hmm, I’m sorry linda, I know you don’t wanna involve Clara in this, but she’s the only option we’ve got right now, at least till we find out more”.

Linda picked up the old lady who weighed nothing, carrying her in a bridal style, she ran with all the speed she could muster.
“sorry Clara, but you’re my only hope”. she whispered as she continued running, heading for Clara’s home.

I paced round my room nervously, I was truly scared for the Luna, I don’t know why she would want to risk her life like that, just to find out the truth about something.
I had known something wasn’t right when she’s asked me to get her some wolf’s bane.

I was at the pack kitchen with some other female wolves, ma-king food for the guards when the luna mindlinked me.
“Clara, meet me in my room now”. she said urgently.

“hey Clara, plea-se come in”. linda said ushering Clara into her be-droom.
“luna”. Clara bowed.
“plea-se Clara, you may rise”.
“luna, what’s wrong”.
“Clara, i really nee-d your help”.
“anything for you Luna, you can trust me”.
“ha, of course Clara, i know that very well”. She smiled.
“luna, what would you have me do”.
“Clara, I’m truly sorry to bother you about this, but you’re the only one i trust”. she said, taking both of Clara’s hands in hers.
“sorry if I disrespect you luna, but don’t talk like that, you’re never a bother to me, I would gladly do anything you ask of me, no matter what it is, you’ve helped me so much, I would l@ydown my life for you if I have to”. Clara said, looking at her with admiration, truly, she loves the luna so much and sees her like a sister, she’s just so kind and generous, not only to her, but to everyone, she’s got a pure heart of gold.
“thank you so much clara”. linda said, embr@cing her in a hvg.
”no, thank you luna”. she replied, returning the hvg.
“now, here’s what I want clara”. she said, pu-lling out of the hvg.
“I’ll nee-d you to plea-se help me get some wolf’s bane”.
“wolf’s bane?”. ?
“yes Clara, wolf’s bane”.
“sorry luna, plea-se pardon my inquisitiveness, but what do you nee-d wolf’s bane for”.
“well….”.
“I promise you can talk to me luna”.
“i…. Well Clara, you know the p@rt of pack that’s prohibited”.
“yes luna, what about it”.
“I nee-d it to take down the guards there, I nee-d to know what’s been hidden there”.
“what! “. Clara half yelled.
“shhh… Lower your voice clara”.
“sorry luna,but that’s too dangerous, what if the alpha comes to know about this, I’m not sure he’ll take it lightly”.
“I know Clara, but let’s forget about damien, I wouldn’t have peace till I find out what he’s hiding”.
“luna, plea-se don’t do this”. Clara pleaded.
“no Clara, plea-se don’t try to st©p me, my mind is made up and I won’t st©p”. she replied, turning her back at Clara .
Clara stared at her for a while, now that’s one thing about the Luna, once she’s hell bent on doing something, she’s not st©pping till she gets what she wants.
she heaved a sigh, moving close to linda.
“ok luna, I’ll do it, I’ll get you the wolf’s bane”.
“thank you so much Clara”. she turned to face her, feeling happy.
“and I’m truly sorry for bothering you”.
“I’m glad to help luna”.
“luna, plea-se be careful, don’t get hurt”.
“I won’t Clara”. she laughed.
“but Luna, I would truly love to come with you, plea-se let me join you”. Clara pleaded.
“no Clara, I don’t wanna put you in any form of danger”.
“no luna, you’re not doing that, it’s my decision to join you”.
“no Clara, I’m sorry but I can’t let you come with”.
“but I want to luna”.
“no Clara, and that’s final”. she commanded.
now seeing this, Clara knows it’s a lost fight as she bowed her head in submission before turning to leave the room.
“sorry Clara, but I can’t put you in danger”. she muttered sadly.

“I thank the moon goddess she’s alright, but I wonder who the visitor is”. Clara muttered to herself.
*knock*, c@m£ the urgent knock on the door, pu-lling her out of her thought.
“that must be the luna”. she said, hurrying to get the door.
on opening the door, she frowned a bit, seeing linda carrying an unconscious old lady.
“would you plea-se let me in alre-ady clara”. Linda said impatiently.
“I’m so sorry luna”. she replied, opening the door a little bit wi-der to let her in.
“thank you”. she said, going in.
“I alre-ady had the spare room prepared”. she said as she took the old lady from linda and taking her to the spare room.
“plea-se be gentle”. she said as she watched Clara l@ydown the old lady on the be-d, the be-d wasn’t that big, but it was enough for her, and this wouldn’t be much stress as Clara lived alone, she had lost both her parents in a war and ever since then, she had learn to live alone and fend for herself.
“thank you so much for this clara”.
“it’s alright luna”.
“i would have to leave now, I’m sure damien hasn’t noticed i left the lodge”.
“that’s alright luna, I’ll take good care of her and make sure she’s okay, you nee-d not worry about that”.
“I trust you will clara”.
“and do take care too, thanks once again”. she said, hvgging her briefly before hurrying back home.
