I don’t think Dad know what he’s saying. I mean … he never told me that I’m born as twins.
So he can’t just tell me that Jessica is my twin sister, just because we look alike.
People can look alike but that doesn’t mean they’re twins. So what’s Dad talking about now??
“Dad what are you saying? How come she’s my twin sister? She’s Jessica Gideon not Jessica Hathaway remember?” I said as I stared at Dad confusingly
“You see Tee, I’ll explain everything to you, just calm down and listen” Dad said
“Alright, I’m listening” I said
“When you were 3 months old, your mom and I went to the supermarket and a woman helped your mom to carry your sister while she went to the washroom, before she comes back, thieves evaded that supermarket and everyone ran for our dear lives, the woman ran away with your sister, forgetting to hand her over to your mom, and since then, we were unable to locate her.” Dad explained
“Then how did you know that Jessica is my lost sister?” I asked
“It was when I travelled to Canada few months back that I saw the woman moving out of her ap@rtment, I thought she wasn’t the one but when I asked her neighbor, she told me that her name is Nancy Gideon, am I correct?” Dad asked Jessica and she nodded.
“But I don’t think it’s the same person, her neighbor just told you her name, not her life story. I’ll suggest we go see Jessica’s mom then we’ll know if she’s truly my sister or not.” I said
“Yes, I agree with Tiana sir” Archie said and Dad took his car key.
“Let’s go” Dad said and Jessica offered to drive us so it would be easy to get there.
Minutes later, we arrived the Gideon’s residence and alighted from the car.
Jessica led us in and she went upstairs to call her mom and dad.
Mr and Mrs Gideon were coming downstairs when Mrs Gideon sighted my dad, she st©pped halfway. Later on, she joined us.
“Good afternoon sir” Mrs Gideon greeted as she sat beside her husband.
“Good afternoon ma’am, do you remember me?” Dad asked smiling and Mrs Gideon nodded.
“Of course, we met at the supermarket 17 years ago, I could remember what happened vividly” Mrs Gideon said smiling.
“Thanks for taking care of my daughter for me, I really appreciate” Dad said
“I searched for you and your wife everywhere but all to no avail, so I and my husband decided to take care of the child till we see you again and now that you’ve come for her, she’s all yours” Mrs Gideon said smiling.
“But mom, you never told me that you’re not my biological parents” Jessica said, close to tears alre-ady
“I’m sorry my dear, we thought it would hurt your feelings, that’s why we decided that it’s better to keep it away from you till your parents come for you” Mr Gideon said, patting her back.
“So now you mean Tiana is my twin sister??” Jessica asked
“Yes my daughter” Dad said and went to her side, he gestured to me to come sit beside Jessica and I obeyed.
“What about their mother?” Mrs Gideon asked
“May her soul rest in peace” Dad said sadly.
“She’s dead??” Mrs Gideon asked in disbelief
“Yes ma” I replied
“Sorry dear, so how is work? Why have you not been singing again?” Mrs Gideon asked
“Nothing, actually I went back to school for some purpose” I replied
“Alright”
“Mom where’s Melissa, Flora and Dave?” Jessica asked
“There they are.” Mrs Gideon replied, pointing at two girls that were just coming in.
“Good day everyone, what’s happening here?” One of them asked
“Nothing, where are you coming from?” Jessica asked
“We went shopping” the other said and g@sped on seeing me. I guess they didn’t see that it’s me before.
“Tiana Hathaway??” they both exclaimed and rushed towards me. They hvgged me ti-ghtly and I smiled.
“How are you doing angels?” I asked
“We’re fine… you see what we’re saying sis., you look exactly just like her” one of them said
“Yeah, they’re twin sisters” Mrs Gideon said
“Twin sisters??” Both of them asked in unison
“Yeah”
“How come?” One of them asked as they both sat down
Mrs Gideon explained everything to them and they look shocked.
“So now what you’re saying is that Sister Jessica is not our sister?” One of them asked
“Of course she’s still your sister, even Tiana is also your sister, but the differences is that they’re not your sisters by blood” Mr Gideon said
“Wow! Now the celebrity is my sister!” One of them shouted and we all laughed.
“Yes! Rockstar Tee!” the other also shouted and we laughed the more.
“Where’s your brother?” Mr Gideon asked
“He’s just coming” one of them said as their brother c@m£ in.
“Are they triplet?” I asked Jessica
“Yeah, she’s Melissa, she’s Flora and he’s Dave” Jessica explained as she pointed at them.
“Wow! Tiana!” Dave shouted as he ran towards me, he hvgged me and later dis£ngaged.
“How are you?” I asked
“I’m good as you, I can’t believe you can come to our house, big sister has told us much about you, I’m glad you’re my sister’s friend” Dave said happily.
“Well, I’m not just your sister’s friend, I’m also your sister” I said smiling
“What are you saying? I don’t un-derstand” Dave said
“I mean I’m your sister’s twin sister, we’re twins” I said
“Are you for real???” Dave asked in surprise
“Yes” Jessica replied
“Mum is it true?” Dave asked, facing Mrs Gideon and she nodded.
“Wow! Tiana Hathaway is my sister!” Dave shouted and we all laughed.
“Now that we’ve found out the truth, will Jessica change her name to Jessica Hathaway?” Archie asked
“No, her real name isn’t Jessica, we named her Clara, she is Clara and her sister is Christiana” Dad said
“Clara???” We all asked in unison
“Yes, Clara” Dad replied
“So now she’s Clara Hathaway??” Monalisa asked
“Yes” Dad replied
“Alright” Chris said and we chatted like the day won’t come to an end.

School has resumed alre-ady, we have to prepare for school now.
Clara has started living with me since we c@mÂŁ back from their house that day. She insisted on living with me, so that we can flow along together as twin children always do.
“Wake up Clara, it’s morning alre-ady and we have to prepare for school, I don’t want to be late” I said as I tapped her gently and she gro-an ed.
“Let me sleep a bit, you know we just resume school today, so late comers can’t be punished today and throu-ghout this week” she said half awake
“No Clara, you know others will be waiting for us, so let’s make it quic-k” I said pu-lling her up.
“plea-se give me just 10 minutes more” she said. This is so frustrating, I never knew she’s so bad when it comes to slee-ping.
“Come on Clara, get up” I said and pu-ll-ed her up.
“Oh no! What kind of a sister are you?” she gro-an ed as she sat up on be-d.
“A good sister to the core” I said smiling and she kicked me pla-yfully.
We got prepared for school and Nathan drove us to school.
“Where’s your hoodie?!” Clara shouted as I wanted to alight from the car. I quic-kly sat back and close the door, when I realized I truly didn’t use my hoodie.
“Where’s it?” Clara asked, fidgeting
“Come on st©p worrying yourself, it’s here with me, don’t freak out” I said and brou-ght it out.
“Thank goodness” she said and heaved a sigh of relief.
“But why are you so worried??” I asked
“You know it yourself, come on get down and don’t start teasing me now” she said and we alighted from the vehicle in smiles.

We walked into the clas-s hand in hand. Archie and others has alre-ady arrived.
“Hey Clara, what’s up? Good morning” Monalisa greeted as she hvgged me
“Good morning Sam” she greeted as she hvgged Jessamyn too.
We all exchange plea-santries and sat down. Archie walked up to the front of the clas-s.
“Hi guys, happy resumption” Archie said and everyone replied happily in different responses which caused noise.
“It’s okay guys, st©p ranting” Archie said but the noise persisted.
“Will you st©p shouting and listen to what I have to say?!” Archie shouted and they all kept quiet.
“Mr Charles said you all should s£nd your personal info to his email account” Archie said and c@m£ back to sit.
Mia, Ria, Ashley, Babita and Jenna all c@mÂŁ to meet us. We exchange plea-santries except with Jenna, who stand two steps away from us.
We were still chatting happily when she c@mÂŁ to join us.
“Guys will you plea-se listen to what I have to say??” She asked and we all diverted our attention to her.
“plea-se I c@m£ here to apologise for what I did to you guys especially Monalisa, I’ve realized my mistake and I want you to forgive me, plea-se accept my apologies” Jenna said and we all stare at each other.
“So you c@m£ here to apologise?? After what you did?? What if you succeeded in killing her then?? Would you be here to beg for forgiveness?? Uh?? Answer!??” Wisdom shouted
“Keep it cool Wisdom, it’s okay” Monalisa said
“Is that what you’ll say?? It’s okay??” Wisdom asked facing Monalisa.
“Just simmer down okay?… And you Jenna, I’ve heard what you said, you’re forgiven, but don’t you dare try doing something like that to anyone again okay??” Monalisa said and Jenna nodded.
“Thank you so much” Jenna said
“Won’t you guys say anything to this? She’s asking for forgiveness now” Monalisa said
“What can we do other than to forgive her?? She offended you and you’ve forgiven her so why won’t we forgive her” I said
“Hope it’s all cleared now?” Jessamyn asked and we all smiled
“Come here dear” Monalisa said and hvgged Jenna.

Mr Charles c@mÂŁ into the clas-s and we all sat quietly.
“Good morning guys” he greeted
“Good morning sir” we responded
“Let me go straight to the point, If you here your name, just stand up and come out here, I nee-d to clarify some things” Mr Charles said and started calling the names.

I went out on hearing my name and everyone stared at me.
“Clara Hathaway???” everyone exclaimed in surprise except Archie and co.
“Were you not Jessica Gideon?? Why did you claim to be Clara Hathaway?? Are you related to Tiana Hathaway?? Why using her surname to cause confusion for me??… Answer me now!! Why bearing the same family name with her as if you’re her sister??!” Mr Charles shouted
“Well that’s because I’m her sister” I said and everyone diverted their attention to me.
“How come?” Mr Charles asked
“It was discovered that we’re twin sisters, and I happen to be her lost twin sister” I said smiling
“No wonder, you look exactly just like her” Mia said
“Alright, that’s why I c@m£ here, I’ll go now… don’t make noise okay?” Mr Charles said and went out.
We went back to our seats and everyone gathered around me shouting and asking various questions.
“Are you sure you’re Tiana’s twin sister?”
“Hope you didn’t cook up a story now?”
“You want to do April fool with us, right?”
“Will you plea-se bring Tiana along when coming tomorrow?”
“But why didn’t you tell us?”
“It’s okay guys, I’ll answer your questions with just one thing, then you’ll satisfy your curiosity” I said
“One thing??” they all asked in unison
“Yes, one thing” I replied
“And what’s that?” Ava asked
“Hold on” I said and brou-ght out my phone, then I showed them the pictures I took with Tiana at home.
“Wow! It’s true” Babita said
“But we can’t be sure, she may just take the pictures with her when they cross p@rt” Kaima said
“Why not check Tiana’s Instagram account? She might have posted something that will lead you to the truth” Jessamyn said and I stared at her, Archie and others were just smiling and I don’t know the reason. I think they’ve done something again.
“Alright, Kathy, where’s your phone?” Ava asked and Kathy handed her the phone.
She went throu-gh Tiana’s Instagram account and there, they saw Tiana’s recent post.
“Wow! They’re really twin sisters, Tiana just posted some pictures 2 minutes ago” Kaima shouted and I stared at Archie and others. They keep on laughing.
Now I get why they are laughing, Tiana just posted the picture and told the girls to check her Instagram account.
I smiled at them in return and faced the girls again.
“What did she wrote there?” I asked
“She said *Thank goodness I’ve found my lost twin sister, Clara. I’m so glad to have such a compas-sionate sister*… Clara I’m so happy for you” Ava shouted as she hvgged me.
“How I wish I’m her twin sister” Kathy said
“Even just a cousin, I’ll be glad” Kaima said
“I’m still happy, because her twin sister is in same clas-s with us” Ava said and I smiled.

“You guys are real badas-ses, you made me look like a fool” I said as I hitted them one after the other pla-yfully.
“But we can’t tell you there, you know they would figure out who Jessamyn really is if we did” Chris said and I wanted to hit him but he dodged it and pu-ll-ed me to himself.
“Guys I think it’s re-ading time after this break” Monalisa said
“Yes” Wisdom replied
“Can we just go to the garden?” Monalisa asked
“But we have to re-ad” Jessamyn said
“Do we really have to re-ad? We can always do that when we’re together alone, you know??” Archie said
“Yes as we always do.” Chris added and we all nodded.
“Alright” I said and we continue eating.

“No, we don’t know when they will come here” I said
“But they’re all in clas-s, no one can come here until closing hour” Monalisa persisted
“I agree with Monalisa, re-move it, I want to be staring at your beautiful face” Archie said
“Lover boy” Wisdom said and we all laughed.
“Alright, but if anyone comes here, you’ll be the one to cover me up, okay?” I said
“Okay ma’am” Monalisa replied and we all laughed.
We were still having fun when some students c@mÂŁ into the garden.
