“I have to get Lenita from the as-sas-sins and at the same time save my dad, I don’t know who to save first, Dad or Lenny?” I said to Samyn
“Let’s save your Dad first, you know the hired as-sas-sins are still waiting for you who they think is Mr Joel, they wouldn’t want to kill her before you get there, they will nee-d order before doing anything to her… so I’ll suggest we go save your Dad first” Samyn said and I started the car and drove straight to my house in full speed.
“Dad you have to leave this country now, I mean right now!” I said packing his clothes into a travelling bag.
“Why the sudden traveling? Must it be today? And why must I leave my country and people?” Dad questioned
“Dad plea-se, you just have to leave this country today, it’s a must!” I said still packing his clothes
“Can you just tell me why I’m going there? Why are you s£nding me there?” Dad asked again but I didn’t reply
“Will you answer my question?” he asked again but I kept quiet
“Archie will you just talk to me?” he asked but still, I remained silent concentrating on the clothes I’m packing.
“Archie answer my questions” dad said but I still remain quiet.
“Be quic-k with that, those men are here alre-ady, do you know any escape route out of this house ap@rt from the main entrance?” Samyn asked as she peeped throu-gh the window.
“Yes! There’s a back door downstairs, come on dad let’s go” I said and Samyn carried the bag while I closed the door and we headed downstairs
“Can anyone plea-se tell me what’s going on?” Dad said again and I was about to reply him when the door open.
We quic-kly hide at the back of the curtain in the dining area.
Two hefty men c@m£ in holding a gun in their hands.
Dad wanted to freak out but I covered his mouth with my hand.
“I think he’s not around” one of the men said
“No, he is probably hiding somewhere, if we shoot every area, I’m sure the bullet will hit him wherever he’s hiding” the other said and they both started shooting but I covered dad with my b©dy.
A bullet hit me and I gro-an ed.
A bullet really hits me!
Dad wanted to shout but Samyn covered his mouth.
The bullet hit me in the che-st and the pain is unbearable.
I couldn’t help but to gr0@nout loud in pain.
“I think he’s the one, let’s look for him” one of the men said
Immediately I heard that, I kept quiet so that they can be convinced that dad is really dead.
“Hold on… the sound seized, I guess he is dead, come on let’s go” they rushed out.
“Archie!!! plea-se don’t leave me in this world my son, I don’t wish to cry over any of my children again plea-se, stay alive for me son, who did this?!” Dad shouted
“This… this… this is… what… I’m… I’m… trying to… save you from Dad… Mr… Mr… Mr Joel… wants you dead… that… that… is why… you must… leave this country…” I said in pain, the pain is so unbearable, I don’t think I’ll survive it.

I know how he must be feeling now, so much pain.

“Your questions will be answered later, just let first take him to the hospital” I said.

“Alright, I will. Just remember the promise you made to dad, Lenita and I, plea-se stay alive” I said crying as I held dad’s hand and we went out.

“Guys let’s not waste time, let’s take him to the hospital before things get out of hand” I said and we rushed him to the hospital.
The nurses c@m£ to help us convey him into the casualty ward.
We were told to stay at the reception while he’s being treated.
“What could have happened?” Monalisa asked
“Maybe someone wants him dead or robbers evaded their home and sh0t at him” Jessica said
“Thank God we arrived there on time” I said
“We’ll here everything from Samyn when she arrives” Wisdom said
“I pray he survive it, because the bullet hit him on the che-st and he has lost so much blood” Monalisa said
“I pray so too” Jessica said and we went to sit down.

I dropped Archie’s father at the airport and watch him enter into the plane before leaving.
“plea-se take care of my son. I don’t really think I should go because people will think I’m a bad father whose son is in the hospital and yet he travels” he said
“Worry less about what people will think or say, your son himself told you to go, and it’s for your own safety, trust me, he’ll be fine, I’ll help you take good care of him, just st©p worrying your lovely mind and go” I said
“Alright I’m really grateful to you my daughter, can I know you? I mean… can I see your face?” he asked and I hesitated at first but later re-moved my hoodie.
“Wow! Tiana Hathaway??” he said
“Yes, I’m your son’s girlfriend” I said smiling
“Wow! How come you’re still studying?” he asked
“That’s a long story for another day, now go” I said and he entered into the plane

“Sure, I will” I replied and watched as the plane took off.
I drove back to the hospital.
“Has the doctor said anything yet?” I asked as I got in and saw Jessica and co.
“Yes, they said he has lost so much blood and they nee-ded blood transfusion, he left here just now” Monalisa said
“And he said whoever is re-ady for the transfusion should come and see him in his office and I’m going now” Chris said and wanted to go but I st©pped him.
“Don’t worry, you can stay while I go” I said and he nodded.
I got the direction to the doctor’s office from a nurse.
“Good evening doctor” I greeted as I was told to come in after knocking.
“Good evening, how may I be of help to you ma’am?” the doctor asked
“I c@m£ here for the blood transfusion you wanted to perform on the minister’s son, Archie Myers” I said
“Oh, alright let’s go” he said and I followed him out.
They first conducted a blood test on me to be sure it’s safe to transfer my blood.
It c@m£ out good and the doctor started the blood transfusion immediately.
Minutes later, the transfusion was done and I was moved to a ward while he (Archie) was moved to the ICU {Intensive Care Unit}.

The doctor c@m£ out and we rushed to him.
“Doctor how is it? Hope it’s successful?” I asked
“Yeah, the patient is currently in the ICU, and the donor is in ward 23” the doctor said
“Can we go and see the lady?” Monalisa asked
“Yes, but plea-se don’t shout” the doctor said
“That’s not a problem” Chris said and we all went to ward 23.
“Hold on guys… Archie’s phone is ringing” I said
“Who is it?” Monalisa asked
“His dad” I replied and pick the call.
“Hello sir, this is Wisdom, Archie’s friend” I said
“Oh, how is my son? Hope nothing happened?” he asked
“Not at all sir, he is fine” I replied
“Alright, is Tiana there?” he asked

“Do you mean he thinks I’m Tiana?” I asked un-der pretext
“Yes, so funny” Wisdom replied
“That man is so funny, Lisa the phone” I said, stretching my hand forward to collect it.
She handed me the phone and I dialed the cops line.
“Hello sir, we’ve found the person behind Lenita’s disappearance.
“Who is it? I promise to have him arrest immediately” the DPO said
“It’s the minister’s friend, Mr Joel” I said
“Mr Joel???” the DPO questioned
“Yes, and I have the address of where they held Lenita captived” I said
“Alright, s£nd the address to me, I’ll s£nd my boys there” the DPO said
“Alright, I’ll s£nd it right now, plea-se make it snappy before they kill her” I said
“Okay” I replied and disconnected.

I couldn’t believe Uncle Joel is really the one who tried to kill Archie.
How did he escaped from the prison??
I thought dad made it clear to the court that he shouldn’t be shown mercy at all not to talk of letting him escape.
Then how come he made it out of the prison in good health and still become friends with Archie’s father, a minister at that!
“Lisa are you okay??” Jessamyn asked
“Hum… yeah, I’m perfectly okay” I replied still staring at the picture
“You don’t look okay at all, do you know the man?” Wisdom asked crossing his arms around me
“Yes … this man… this man…” I stuttered trying to f0rç£ the words out of my mouth
“Yes? What happened to the man? How did you know him?” Chris asked

“Take this water and drink” Jessica said and handed me a cu-p of water which I gulped down

I c@m£ back from school and met Mr Joel’s car parked in the packing lot in our compound.
I wondered what he c@m£ here for when my dad isn’t around.
Then I decided to enter to see things for myself and satisfy my curiosity.
As I got to the entrance of the large living room, I heard Mr Joel’s voice, shouting at my mother, then I peeped throu-gh the window to see what was happening.

*So Mr Joel once loved my mom but he didn’t get the chance to be with her for life, but I think it’s because mother didn’t love him and love Dad instead, that’s why she rejected his proposal* I said in mind

*Oh my gosh! I don’t know he had a gun with him, he’s gonna kill my mom?? No way! I have to call the cops now* I thought and dialed the cops number.

I had called the cops and they said they’re on their way.

Just then the cops barged in and I directed them in.

“Drop your weapon and your hands up” the cops said and Mr Joel looked around to see who called the cops
“Before you take me away, I’ll kill her first” Mr Joel said and before the cops could f0rç£ the gun out of his grip, he pu-ll-ed the trigger and sh0t my mom.
“Mother!!!!!!!!” I shouted as I ran to her
“Mother plea-se don’t leave me alone in this cruel world. Mother plea-se open your eyes, plea-se” I cried as mom la-id lifeless on the floor.

I was soa-ked in tears as I narrated how he killed my mom.

“Don’t worry, he won’t get a chance to escape now” Jessica said

“Archie said he wants to see you guys, we’ve moved him from the ICU, he is now in ward 35” the doctor said

“Alright, I’ll be there” Samyn said and we all went out.

“Oh come on, what are you saying? Why won’t you see me again? they wouldn’t dare to kill you, remember you’re the minister’s daughter” I said and smiled
“Yes!” she said happily raising her hand upward in the air.
“Now let’s go and see your brother” I said and headed to ward 35 but not after thanking the police officer.
“That’s your brother” I said dropping her when we got to where Archie is.

Archie spent three days in the hospital before he was discharged and he resume school.

It was a Monday morning, I was eager to go to school, I’ve really missed school seriously.
My driver dropped me at school but not before dropping Lenita in her school.
I thought I was the first to arrive as usual but not knowing someone else alre-ady snatched that position from me today.
As I moved closer, the person bec@m£ clearer then I realized it’s Samyn.
“You arrived early today” I said
“Is that a way of greeting?” she asked
“Sorry, my bad, good morning” I said and she returned the greeting
“So why did you arrived early today?” I asked
“Actually I want to discuss something with you and I want it to be in pri-vate” she said
“You should have waited till afternoon when we’ll be able to have more privacy in your house or mine” I said
“No, I can’t wait any longer, because I don’t know what will happen today” she said
“Alright, what’s bothering my angel that she can’t wait any longer to tell me?” I asked

“No no, I don’t believe you” I said and looked around for Samyn but she’s nowhere to be found.
Tiana stood there with the hoodie in her hand.

“Leave them alone Lisa, it was Mr Charles who said she should sit with Wisdom and he wasn’t happy with it, but he shouted at the girl when she greeted him, that’s what happened” Jessica said
“Wisdom I apologise on behalf of the girl, you shouldn’t have shouted at her, she knows nothing about what relationsh!pwe shared, so she’s not fault” I said crossing my arm around his n£¢k.
“I know but I can’t let her be my seatmate, it’s like she snatched you from me” Wisdom said
“Awwnn how sweet, but you know what, you’ll go there now and apologise, then I’ll talk to her to sit on the empty chair next to ours” I said
“But Mr Charles said she must not leave that seat for no reason” Wisdom said
“Then I’ll sit at the back seat” I said and he wore a long face
“Come on lover boy, let’s go” I said and pu-ll-ed him up as we headed towards the new girl.
“Hi, I’m sorry for how I treated you the other time, I’m just infuriated that Mr Charles replaced my seatmate with you” Wisdom said
“It’s alright, I know how you’re feeling, but you can’t lie to me, you know” the girl said
What does she mean by that?
“What are you saying?” Wisdom asked
“I mean don’t tell me you both shared a seatmate relationsh!p, it’s more inti-mate than this, I know she is your girlfriend” the new girl said and I smiled
“Yes, you’re right” Wisdom said
“Anyway, I’m Monalisa” I said as I stretched my hand forward for a handshake
“I’m Ashley” she said as she took my hand.
“Wow! Nice name” I said
“Thanks, nice meeting you” she said
“Nice meeting you too” I replied and sat down at the back seat, then Wisdom sat with her.
