“Marion hurry up we should be there by now “dad called as I hurried down from my room ,my hair deemed from the shower .
” Am here dad” I answered as I reached him .
“We will be using my car ” he said heading to where mom stood .
” Dad let’s use my car instead” I suggested, I really wanna drive my sport car .
“Honey we’d be going now ” dad kis-sed mom’s
li-ps.
“Arhhnn dad am standing right here ” I eyed him mom Chuckled.
” Someday your child will tell you that ” dad said glaring at me . I shook my head .
” We are using my car right ?I aksed to be sure .
” No…we are using mine “I gro-aned.
“Marion just go with your dad “mom winned winking me , I rolled my eyes .
“Whatever”I muttered.
” Common son let’s go”he said and I followed behind.
” Please guys, don’t break any part of your body okay “mom yelled Making us chuckle.
” Honey I wouldn’t do that , how will I function tonight if I break a part of my body ? He asked winking her and I stare at my dad in horror,didnt he realized am standing right here .
“Dad,remember am here ” I glared at him.
“Someday your child will tell you that ” my dad
said Making mom Chuckle.
My mind went to Gwen and I smiled , I should call her ,no it’s better i text her , because I’d be seeing her
later today . I searched my jeans pocket, fu-ck where did I drop my phone,i checked my backpack but nothing,i must have left it inside.
“Marion what are you doing, let’s go” dad called opening his car .
“Dad Just a second ,I need to get my phone” I said and hurried inside .
” What happened baby ? Mom called .
” I forgot to take my phone” I yelled since I was already upstairs so she could hear me , I went inside my room and it’s on the bed i took it and rushed out of the room.
” Make sure your careful baby ” mom called as I went to

” Sure mom, love you “I said hurrying out.
“Love you more” she called but I heard her .
I just love my mom so much, the best mom in the world, I got into the car with my dad as he drives.
” Why couldn’t you leave your phone at home ? Dad asked.
” I have someone to message” i replied, going to my
message box to message Gwen .
” A girlfriend? Dad suddenly asked and i looked at him , he was smirking.
” Of course not , just a friend” I replied and faced my phone back .
* Hay Morinng , am just on my way to kickboxing
with dad* I sent it .
“Is she beautiful? Dad asked .
” Who ? I aksed .
“The girl you just texted ” he said .
” Umm….yeah ” I replied.
Damn if I tell my dad it’s the girl I refused to tutor, he will laugh at me .
” So what’s her name ? He aksed .
” EuGwen” I replied.
“Hmm, that’s a very rare name , people hardly bear it
” he said and. I nodded it’s really true .
“But it’s very beautiful name ” he added .
” Umm yeah ” I replied.
“So do you have a new girlfriend? Dad asked ,
why is he talking about this ,am trying to avoid it.
” Dad of course not,am not ready for that yet” I said . “Still haven’t gotten over Ava? He aksed .
The name only disgust me.
” Trust me dad I’ve been over her for a very long time ,and she isn’t the reason why I haven’t gotten a new girl ” I said
” You know,sometimes love is what held people back,maybe you still love her ” he said
I scoffed.
” No dad,i don’t have any feelings for Ava, am certain about it” I said looking at my phone, why hasn’t Gwen replied, maybe she hasn’t seen it.
” Well that means you really never love the girl ” he said looking at me then back to the road .
” I think your right , because I got over her with a week ” I said
which was true, sometimes i wonder if I ever loved Ava, because when I broke up with her,it took me Just a week for my feelings to die ,maybe I just liked her company and thought it was love , just maybe .
” So no girl In mind ? Dad asked . I was quite, do I have a girl in mind ? I keep thinking about Gwen All the
time,shes always in my mind everyday and night , I really don’t know how I feel ,I don’t
know.
” No” I lied .
” Are you sure , you know you could always talk to me , am your father ” dad said and I nodded.
I didn’t say anything again, am battling with my own mind , why can’t I stay a second without hearing her voice or seeing her , arggn I hate to say this but , I
guess am beginning to like Gwen than I should, maybe. My phone pimped I look at it,its her she replied already, I cli-ck to see what she texted with a smile on my face .

“You can’t be serious girl , are you fu-ckin kidding me ” Jess yelled happily, she had come to visit me right now we are seated on the sofa with a bowl of indomie we are both eating. I nodded smiling, thinking about last-night.
“Wow Gwen ,this is really a good sign , who knows, he might already feel something for you ” Jess said happily.
” Umm I think so,but you know we never can predict, I just can’t help being so happy last- night,his really
friendly and I didn’t know he has such a good side like that “I confessed.
“Oh am so happy for you girl , finally you both are taking a gradual step ,I can’t wait for him to confess his feelings to you ” she squired happily as I Chuckled.
“Umm…why don’t you call him? She suggested and my eyes widen.
” No I can’t do that, what will I tell him if i call ? I aksed .
“Umm, just tell him good morning, ask him ofhis self ask him of his family , just say something to him” she said and I thought for a while .
I got up and went into my room to take my phone, but once I pressed it his name was on the screen my eyes widen , it’s a message from Marion ,I quickly rushed out .
” He texted me like 5 minutes ago” i said sitting
down , Jess sat beside me .
” Yeah …what did he text? She asked , and i opened it . *Hay Morinng, am just on my way to kickboxing
with dad.
“Wow , text him back ” she said happily.
” What do I text back ? I aksed .
” Hay common Gwen dont be a jelly , he must be waiting for your reply. I nodded and type what came to my mind .
“Hi, morning too, going for kickboxing this early”I pressed sent .
“That’s good girl , let’s wait for him to reply”
That instant a message entered.
*Yeah, it’s a morning exercise, it’s good for the body * he said . I smiled , he didn’t waste time at all.
*Oh that’s good then , be careful not to break a bone * I sent it chuckling at what I wrote.
“Silly girl “Jess hit me as she chuckled too.a message entered.
* Don’t worry , am stronger than you think * he replied with a laughing emoji.
“Oh my this guy is so cute, I can’t believe his this friendly” Jess said Looking into the text .
” Am surprised too”I said .
“Common send him a message” she said .
But before I could text he sent another one .
*We just arrived, got to go now, and about yesterday, is
it okay I come visit for the tutorial?* He asked
I looked at Jess .
“Common girl tell him yes “she urged me .
*Yeah sure * I replied.
*Alright , will see you soon bye * he texted.
*Bye* I texted back
“Wow, his so charming,like Gwen, am hundred percent sure Marion has taken a liking to you ” Jess said happily eating her noodles. I stare at her .
” And how sure are you ? I aksed .
“Am sure because one, just see why would he text you to tell you his going out with his father , secondly he doesn’t waste time replying your messages, thirdly, he
still wants to tutor you even when he knows there’s a vacation so you see ? This are all reason to show someone liking someone” she said I thought about it she might be right .
“So chill girl, you’ve got him wrapped around your finger , it’s time to claim what’s yours”she said winking me and eating from her noodles. I smiled because, I feel good listening to what she had said . Marion might already like me . I really can’t wait to see him.
