I and my friends are at the basketball field right now
, when I told them what happened they were laughing at me, but of course I didn’t tell them I asked Gwen to be my friend and at that took her number , yesterday when i called her and she was yelling at her dog, I couldn’t help but chuckle, then she was breathing fast and I kind of got worried that something wasn’t right with her .
I don’t know why I suddenly became worried over her , her voice sounds so sweet on the phone, fu-ck me , her voice is fu-ckin beautiful. I can’t wait to get my cookie’s
and have my time with her , damn why am I suddenly so egger to see her, I remembered i never really liked her around me, but now i cant even wait to see her .
“Well it’s a good thing you agreed to tutor her again ” Andrew said chuckling followed by Jose .
“I would had loved it if I was a-ssigned to tutor her instead ,you don’t even like her ” jose said to me and I
looked at him.
Something was really different with Jose, each time we are together it’s EuGwen EuGwen EuGwen, is he really serious about her ?
“Jose are you serious about her? Andrew asked as if knowing what I was thinking,
Jose looked at us and threw the ball into the court . “Of course I do, I like her ” he replied.
Hearing it made me sick in the stomach, I couldn’t help the heavy beating of my chest .
“She’s cool, beautiful, nice playful,she’s just the kind of girl I want ” he said happily and I could see he really meant what he said . ,
“So what’s the plan , you’ve gone on many dates with her so anything? Andrew asked .
“I only went on two dates with her, and it was amazing, she’s carefree and I love it,and umm…am still trying to learn my lines well ” he said and I and Andrew raised an eyebrow at him.
“What lines? I asked not feeling good about what am about to hear .
“Well…I’ve been practicing how to ask her to be my girlfriend, ” he said and my eyes widen , Andrew chuckled and started coughing.
“What?Jose asked staring at Andrew who was trying to hold his laughter.
That moment I was numb,he wants to ask her to be his girlfriend, why don’t I like the sound of that at all? “Sorry man, am just imagining you standing Infront of
the mirror and rephrasing your lines” he laughed more . “Common dude , don’t laugh at me, it’s not easy” Jose said Making Andrew laugh more .
I couldn’t even talk I just stood watching what was happening.
“Hay dude are you okay ? Someone shook me and it was Andrew .
“Umm …yeah , am good “I said .
“Common dudes let’s get this over with ” Jose said and we continued practicing, we will be having a basketball match very soon , and seriously we will be given 2 weeks holiday by tomorrow which means no school, damn at least i will try to get my shit together before
we come back and play the basketball match.

“So he called you yesterday? Jess asked and i nodded blus-hing she chuckled.
“Oh your cheeks are so red” she said laughing.
We both sat down.
“Tell me how your feeling right now ” she said I took in a de-ep breath.
“I feel , feel so happy,after all those times he finally
noticed me, his …his so cool and I never knew he had that sweet side of him, I swear jess I’ve never been this happy my whole Life, my crush for him grows everyday ” I said dreamily.
“Gwen , your really happy i can see it in your eyes , I wonder how you will look like by the time he tells you he likes you ” Jess said and I stare at her quietly. “What , why are you quite? She asked , I breathed in and out.
“Because I know he won’t say that ” I replied.
“Oh common Gwen don’t be a pu-ssy , of course one day he will say it and you better be ready ” she winked . “No Jess, I don’t want to put my hopes up that Marion will one day confess his feelings towards me, he doesn’t even feel anything okay, I think the only reason why he suddenly wants me to be his friend is for the fact that he doesn’t want to be removed as the head teem or probably the grade issue ” I said feeling so sad all of a sudden.
Somewhere in my heart, I just wish and hope am wrong , that what I thought is a lie and that he really wants to be my friend not because of the threat , I just want to be wrong de-ep down.
“Gwen, if you keep Doing this to yourself you will hurt your self,the good thing is his now your friend and his no longer behaving like a Douchy,so if it’s about the
threat or not it doesn’t matter, now that you both are close , it’s the opportunity to make him fall for you ” she said and I looked at her.
“How do I do that Jess? I asked .
“Well nothing big and nothing small, just show him
the real you , concentrate when your with him,give him that face that shows *we are just friends* hide your feelings so de-ep and don’tlet it show , I promise you Gwen , Marion will not only like you but will love you , he will go madly in love with you , trust me, am your
bestfriend” she said and I stare at her quietly processing everything She had said .
I will do as she said, but I hope it will work out. I quickly rushed into the cafe and marion sat down typing on his phone.
“Am so sorry am late ” I told him smiling as I sat Infront of him, he smiled back at me and drop his phone.
“It’s nothing I just got here tho , was planning to
call you so you won’t dumb me like yesterday”he said and we Chuckled.
“I wouldn’t do that, I promised” I said and he nodded .
“So did you bring my cookie’s? He asked i felt so happy he asked about it , but I will do as Jess said I will hide my feelings from him.
“Yes of course” I said bringing it out of my bag and
i hand it to him, he opened it and took one .
“Let’s eat together” he said and I shrugged.
“No, it’s all for you ” I said he bite on it and chew . ,
“It’s delicious” he said and my heart tug with joy , he really liked my cookie’s, it gives me happiness that his eating it Infront of me.
“I will just keep this for later ” he said and
I Chuckled he smirked and covered it then put it into his bag .
“So which one would you like to study today ? He asked .
“Ummm…. the maths” I said and he brou-ght out his maths textbook, I did the same , I move my chair closer to him so I could see what he will teach
me . ,
“What figure are we in , I think it Should be 20″he said I looked into it .
“No, I Think it’s 15 remember we didn’t tutor for a week “I reminded him and he looked at me .
That moment our face almost touch due to the
closeness, I didn’t even know am this close to him, he stare at my face then down and up again I gulp and quickly move my chair a bit .
“Am sorry about that ” I said thanking God my voice didn’t shake .
“Umm yeah ” he simply replied
” umm…so yeah figure 15, I remember, so have already thought you a part , I will just give you to see if you still remember the method” he said and i nodded .
He opened his maths textbook and look into it then push it to me.
“Yeah solve number 3” he said I nodded and grab my notebook and pen before writing on it . I started thinking as I solve it gently trying to remember some of the things I need to do, when I look up he was staring at me and I gulp , God why is he looking at me, my heart is beating weirdly , and I can’t concentrate if
his staring at me like this, Jess is wrong I can’t control myself when am with him, what to do ? What to do?
“Are you okay ? He asked and i nodded.
“Are you having issues with it? He asked .
I looked at the question am solving and back to him. “Umm…no..yes…I mean ….no” I said nervously
“Give me the book ” he said and i gave it to him gently , he looked into whatI’ve been solving and I instantly feel maybe I got it wrong.
“Good , you still remember the method, and you got it correct, but you haven’t written your final answer, do you know it already? He asked looking at me and i stare into his beautiful eyes , I shook my head trying
to concentrate. *Common get a grip on your self Gwen “my mind screamed.
“Ummm…no, I still need to solve” I answered.
“Alright quickly complete it then ” he said giving it to me back ,I ignored the fact he must be staring at me
and I solved the last part writting my final answer then I gave it to him.
He looked into it, studying everything I’ve done then he smiled.
“Very correct, you’ve really improved”, he said and I couldn’t help but feel so happy.
“I actually go throu-gheverything you thought me
once am less busy at home ” I confessed .
“That’s good, if you continue you will get a good grade this section” he said and i nodded .
He thought me other one’s and I listened carefully as he explains everything to me, I keep saying yes , no , and nod each time he ash questions. Finally we were done.
“Thanks “I told him.
“It’s nothing,umm…do you mind i drop you off? He asked and i was shocked,
Marion Asked to drop me off, oh my gosh .
“Ummm… really? I asked .
“Why not, ” he asked smiling i try not to blus-h . “Alright , I will just get my bicycle” I said and he nodded ,
I hurried away to get my bicycle , I returned and marion helped me put it into his boot ,soon I was seating with him in his car as he drove . We really didn’t talk on the drive which was kind of awkward, I feel like his thinking of something, but when ever our eyes meet he will smile and I will in return,i don’t care if he speaks or not . The only thing that matter
is,his been friendly towards me . Soon we arrived at my house .
“Thank you ” I told him.
“Yeah , umm…see you tomorrow” he said and i nodded before leaving his car, I got my bicycle from his boot , and he zoomed off . I smiled as I stare at his car, my heart is so overjoyed right now ,my phone started ringing, I look at it , oh it’s se-xy Boy I totally forgot
about him.
“Umm hi….” I said into the phone.
“EuGwen were are you ? Jose Asked.
“Umm…I…am already home, my aunty Asked
me to come immediately, am sorry ” I said .
“Oh alright then , see you tomorrow” he said .
“Yeah bye”, I hanged up, I didn’t even remember he was waiting for me, oh poor boy I was so engrossed with my crush that I forgot him . Smiling at myself, I just wish that if this is a dream, then I never want to wake up .
