⏭️The next day, Clark and i was already with our teacher, the quiz was about to start and they need only one representative from each school.
“so who will go for the quiz? Mr. Cliff asked while i looked at Clark.
“Clark should go,” i quickly said.
“no, Delphine you should do that,” he said to me.
“haven’t you two decide? our teacher asked.
“yes we do, Clark will go,” i said.
“no Delphine, you need to do this,” he said.
“few minutes remaining all the participan-t should be in the hall,” someone announced it.
“Delphine we need to go now, you’ll be the one to do this,” our teacher said which make me feel more weak.
“Clark should do this,” i almost yelled.
Clark moved closer and held me by my shoulder.
“you can do this Delphine, let go in,” he said then held my hands and we walked in.
In short minutes time i was already on stage with some other students from each school for the quiz. Actually about fifteen schools are participating for this. I search for Clark in the large crowd and saw him at the front seat, he smile when our eyes meet and almost yelled in the hall telling me i can do it. Am so scared, what if i failed i don’t want to disappoint my school, well i gather more strength and concentrate on the questions asked.
The quiz was going on smoothly but when it was my turn to answer questions, i felt so scared and i end up giving the wrong answer, too bad the quiz ended and i only scored five questions correct out of twelve questions given to me, i felt like crying while other schools have answered complete twelve questions correctly i answered only five.
After the quiz we went to the cafeteria to have something to eat i know my teachers must be so disappointed, i was very quiet while Clark said nothing to me but was busy with his meal.
“hey won’t you eat? he asked me but i just glare at him.
“do you expect to me while i haven’t perform well on stage, i told you Clark you should be the one to do this, i just fu-ckup, i failed everything i was just scared because we might not win this,” i said with teary eyes while Clark drop his fork and looked at me.
“do you wanna cry? he asked and i just looked away trying to hold back my tears.
“to me you did so well, at least you’ve try,” he said as he continue eating which make me so annoyed.
“are so insane Clark, you should feel bad because i wasn’t able to put on such a brilliant performance, you were never serious with this just for once, you’re just too annoying, do you know that our school has the lowest mark,” i yelled at him so angry.
“stop it Delphine, don’t blame me because you weren’t able to perform well, it all your fault because don’t have confidence in yourself, you always look at other students and then be wondering if you will able to make it , you want me to do everything in all this, what about you, won’t you try it, you need to be strong atimes,” he yelled at me.
“okay fine,” i said and hurriedly left him their.
❇ {Clark’s POV} ❇
Damn it! i just lose my appetite, Delphine should try to have confidence in herself for once, why is she blaming me, i stood up and also left without finishing my food. Later in the evening i was already at the study room, Delphine wasn’t their i wonder if she’s still angry with me, i waited for her but she didn’t show up. I paced up and down waiting for her, i just want to see her face before i sleep.
❇ {Delphine’s POV}❇
I had my bath and was already on my bed, i don’t want to see Clark again, i felt so bad because i know it will only take a miracle for us to win this, if only Clark should have be the one, i guess he would have score all, but why him alone, i guess he was right about me am not so sure of myself, i looked at others and feel so discourage, and maybe am even better them, i need to be so confidence and be sure of myself.
💓Milton was surprise when we meet Nicole at Delphine’s house that evening.
“hey Milton,” she said smiling while he just glare at her.
“what are you doing here? he asked her.
“welcome Milton, she’s Delphine friend and such a very nice person,” said Livvy smiling while Milton just nodded then looked at Nicole who just fake him a smile.
⏩The next day, Livvy is standing in front of a big mansion with Jason beside her.
“you can move in here with your kids,” he said while Livvy was surprise to hear that.
“are you sure about this, Jason this just too much,” said Livvy.
“this place will be much convenient and safer, this the time you have to be careful because am sure someone is against you,”
“Jason, you don’t have to do this,”
“I have to Livvy, it my responsibility to take care of the one i love, i failed to do this years ago,” he said then turn to look at Livvy.
“i don’t know how to thank you Jason, you’re indeed a savior,” Livvy hug him.
“So that means you’ll gonna accept this and also the car? he asked while she nodded.
“sure, i guess we’ll pack in when Delphine return, thank you so much,” Livvy appreciates.
⏩Livvy, her mom and David had dinner together and she told them about the new house Jason want them to live.
“your friend is such a nice person mom, i really like him so much,” said David busy with his food.
“yes David, so we have to wait until Delphine’s arrive so we can pack in their, i also guess that will be much safer for everyone,” said Livvy.
“Jason is now the only person we can trust it been a while we heard from Morgan, i still can’t believe Morgan could do that to you,” said Lee.
“mom, can we just stop talking about Morgan,” Livvy said losing her appetite the moment she heard her mom talking about Morgan, she felt so angry hearing his name.
“mom i just wish Delphine is here i really miss her,” David said trying to change the topic of their discussion.
“i miss her too, i guess your sister will soon be back,” said Livvy as she smile a bit.
“i don’t like that her friend, why do she always come here to visit us, you’re already fine and i see no reason why she will come here all day,” said David.
“she’s Delphine friend, you’ll soon yet use to her,” Livvy said.
🌹{Clark’s POV}🌹
Today was great, so great, we perform so well in the exams and also the last interview, today is actually the last day of the event, and by tomorrow evening the final result will be announced then the next day we’ll be on our way. Delphine did so well in today talk show, i was able to talk sense into her, i did all i could to make her believe she can do this even without me and not to depend too much on me or feel so discourage anytime. Today’s show was great and i strongly believe we gonna win this but, our teachers were so proud of us well by tomorrow they result will be call, It already evening and everywhere was so cool, i and Delphine walked down to our study room as usual but this time to gist, am glad that we’re actually getting alone, Delphine looks so pretty in her handless short gown, she fold her arms and was just smiling.
“yesterday we end up quarreling because we failed but today was different it was actually better than yesterday because we won, you did so well,” i said smiling while she smiled back, her smiled alone melt my heart, revealing her dimples.
“we did it Clark, you made me to be strong in this, i shouldn’t be too dependent, you know i have always wanted you to do everything because i was scared and i also thought i might not win it, but you gave me the strength to move on in this, i just hope tomorrow will be much better than today,” she said as she hug-ged me and i was surprise. OMG Delphine hugging me!.
“it getting so cold and your dress is handless,” i said as i quickly removed my jacket and help her wear it.
“aren’t you feeling cold? she asked me.
“of course not, am okay,” i replied then smiled. We walked to our study room and she sat while i was still standing i picked up a guitar and sat down close to her.
“can you sing for me while i play this guitar,” i said while she looked at me then smile.
“i don’t sing for people i don’t love, the only one that know about my voice is Milton, and it because i love him,” she said. Gosh! that hurt a lot to hear the one you love already in love with someone else, i was badly hurt with what she said.
“today has been such a great and at the same so hectic, i need to sleep and prepare for the final day tomorrow the result will be out, so just keep on praying,” she said to me then stood up and left.
damn it! i dropped the guitar aside and hit my fist against the wall. Tomorrow will actually be our last night here in Singapore, i don’t want this to end because i want to be alone with Delphine here but once we’re back i will always see her with Milton again which i will keep on getting hurt…
