⏩ “Nicole,” Delphine called out then smiled a bit.
“so how was the lesson? Nicole asked smiling.
“it was good, Nicole please don’t be so angry about what just happen..
“it nothing Delphine, i trust you so much,” Nicole said then smiled to herself.
“i will leave you two, bye,” she smiled then left them.
Nicole moved closer and sat close to him.
“what was that look, why are you staring at her that way? Nicole yelled at him so loud.
“enough Nicole, what you saw isn’t anything,” he said then stood up to leave.
“you can’t walked out of me that way, Clark you’ve been so cool these days, you’ve skipped school for two days, you don’t call me, you don’t even seems to like me
again,” she yelled at him while he turn to her.
“you’re right Nicole and i realise it because i wasn’t truly in love with you, Nicole let just end this here, i need some space, i need to be alone, i don’t need a
nagging girlfriend like you again,” he yelled then out of her.
“come back here Clark, we are not done yet, you can’t break up with me,” Nicole yelled in tears while Clark left without turning to look at her.
?Delphine arrived home and meet David already at home.
“how was school today David? she asked as she ki-ssed his forehead and sat down beside him.
“was great i just discovered something,” he said smiling.
“what could it be?
just dressed up and join me outside,” David smile then walked out.
Delphine smiled to herself and dropped her books and changed into something casual, she quickly joined David outside.
After a few walks, they finally arrived to a large river were some other children are catching fish while some were swimming.
“you expect me to swim here, the water is so dirty, i can’t believe those poor children swim in such places,”
“but we can still let catch fish for dinner, it so much fun,” David hand over to her a hook and line to her.
“we can use this, and also the bait this what will attra-ct the fish,” he smiled.
“you’re so smart David,” Delphine collect it smiling.
Delphine enjoyed the fishing and at the end they caught lots of fishes and put them in a small basket.
“we are already used to poor life, it so sweet atimes, it seems like a free world and just like adventure,” said David smiling.
“sure, dad was the one that put us in this mess, but we still thank God, we need to go home before mom and grandma get so worried about us,” said Delphine as they
hurriedly went home and meet Livvy and their grandma already at home.
“where have you been? Livvy asked them so worried as she hug-ged them.
where have you been to? Lee asked.
“we went for fishing, and we got lot of fishes for dinner,” David smiling showing her the small basket.
“wow, that great, you are a good fisherman David,” Lee said while they all burst out laughing.
“but you shouldn’t go their without our permission and always becareful i don’t want you to get hurt,” said Livvy.
“nothing bad will happen mom, i will just freshen up and prepare dinner for everyone,” Delphine gave her a peck then went to her room while David drop the fish in the kitchen.
“those kids are already used to all this,” said Livvy so worried.
“Livvy no need to get so worried and beside nothing bad happen to them, and glad because we are living so happy,” Lee smiled.
“yes mom, my children’s happiness is all that matters to me now,” she said.
⏩An hour later Delphine was done with preparing dinner which was fried fish with sauce and white rice. They all settled at the dining table enjoying their dinner.
“so mom i haven’t ask you about work, how was it? Delphine asked.
“was good, everything is moving good,” said Livvy smiling.
“this so yummy, Delphine is the best cook ever,” said David smiling.
“so sweet David,” Delphine smiled.
“David, what about mommy’s food? Livvy asked smiling.
“it also delicious but Delphine is still the best,” he smiled busy with his food.
“i love you so much David,” Delphine said smiling.
“so you are choosing Delphine over me,” said Livvy smiling.
“not exactly mom, you’re always the best,” he smiled.
“mom don’t be jealous of me,” she Delphine while they all laughed.
After dinner Delphine said goodnight to everyone and went to her room, she picked up her phone and saw three missed call from Milton. “he must have call when i and David went out, i guess Milton will be angry with me,” she thought. As she called him back but this time his line was not reachable.
⏩Clark was still in his room when his dad entered and sat down beside him.
“are you still mad at me? he asked him while Clark said nothing.
“am just worried because i broke up with Nicole,” he said while Jason said nothing.
“they were those days i thought i was in love with her, i guess i never knew what true love means until the first day i meet someone,” he said while Jason smiled then looked at him.
“same thing happen to me, they were those times i thought i was in love with your mom, everything just happen fast and that was how the very day she gave birth to you was the day she dumped you and brou-ght you to me, even thou i have no idea of how to raise or feed a newly born child without his mother, i never plan for any of these to happen, thats why i keep on choosing Livvy because she’s the one i have always loved,” he said. Clark looked at him and said nothing then stood up and left.
?The next day Delphine went to school alone she was surprise because Milton didn’t call or text her anything, she waited for his arrival, he was a bit late.
“Milton.. she called while he stop and turn to look at her.
“Milton, don’t be angry with me,” she hug-ged him.
“i saw your missed call yesterday, but it wasn’t my fault for not picking it,”
“who’s fault then? or are you still with Clark? he yelled at her while she disengaged from the hug.
“don’t think that way Milton, i have nothing to do with Clark, believe me,” she said then stared at him.
“Delphine am so worried about you, i can’t imagine losing you to another person, i don’t like this idea of you and Clark studying together because of a so call competition that you’re not even sure of winning it,”
don’t say that Mil, everything is going on well and i pray we win this, Milton i just want you to know Clark isn’t a bad person,”
“but he was the one that hurt you the other day and..
“i know he hurt me but that doesn’t mean is capable of doing such thing, Milton if you won’t believe me then i won’t for-ce you to do so,” said Delphine so pissed as
she turn to leave but Milton held her by the wrist and hug-ged her immediately.
“am sorry, i just let am anger took control over me, i trust you Delphine and i know you won’t leave me for any other person, cos i will keep on waiting until the day you said yes to my proposal,” he said.
“thank you so much Milton,” Delphine smiled staring into his blue eyes while Milton ki-ssed her on the forehead.
Clark was just coming from the field when he saw Delphine and Milton hugging, his eyes meet with Delphine but she quickly looked away while Clark went back to the clas-swithout saying anything to her..?
