when we got to the hospital, Rico was taken to the emergency ward, God please save him his parents were immediately called and there were on their way. I kept on pacing around until a doctor approached me.
” sorry madam you must be Mrs bethel shawn right?” the doctor asked.
” yes I am” I quickly reply.
” you said something about being injected and fell asleep immediately you were injected and you started feeling sick after, we will like to take little of your blood and run some test, so we know what kind of medicine was used” he explained and I nodded. my blood was drawn out and was inside a small container. i hope I’m okay.
” where is my baby” I Heard Rico mother screamed. when she saw me, she hugged me immediately, we cried together while hugging until she redrawn from the hug.
” the police told us what happened” she said in between a sob. ” we decided to press charges on him, so he could root in jail, I’m so sorry bethel ” she said.
” don’t worry about it, it’s not you” I said.
” bethel” I heard my name. Mr Jefferson.
” I’m so sorry about my dad” he said then gave me a hug.
” thank you” I said and sniff. the doctor walked out of the emergency ward and I quickly went to meet him.
” what’s happening doctor?” I asked. he sighs and looked at me.

” what do you mean?” I asked.
” it’s either he survive or dies, we are still trying to get the second bullet out of him” he said, it felt like the whole world collapse on me.
” you can’t tell me that doc” I argued.

” Mrs bethel shawn” a nurse called and i raise my head and stood up.
” your test result is out” she said. she told me to follow her and I did.

” what’s is the meaning of this?” I asked the doctor. she smiled at me.
” the medicine was just a normal sleeping medicine and congratulations mam you are two weeks pregnant. I’m pregnant, I’m pregnant for his child, Rico’s child. I don’t know whether I should be happy or crying, maybe I should just do both. tears roll down my cheeks tears of joyI’m going to be a mother Rico was really right when he talked about his father been a shooter, he was a shooter too. ” why are you smiling?” she asked.

it has been five hours but nobody has come to say anything about Rico, I refuse to go home or sleep or eat, I just wanted to be here with him, the love of my life the father of my unborn child. the Time was already 8am in the morning, Rico mom decided to go home and bring some food because hospital food sucks.
” Mrs bethel shawn” a doctor called.
” yes” I eagerly stood up.
” hmmm..” he started.
” what’s wrong doctor?” I asked.
” congratulations rico survived the surgery but he is sleeping right now” he said. thank you Lord, I’m so happy I heard two good news today.
” which room?”.
” 201, a vvip room” he said and I hurriedly ran to the room. i entered into the room, Rico was sleeping peacefully, drip was fixed on him. i sat beside him and began to touch his hair. he is so handsome even on the hospital bed. i kissed his forehead and cheeks.
” guess what Rico” i said grinning.
” we are gonna have a baby that looks just like you and i”.
” i guess if it’s a boy he will look exactly like you and if it is a girl, she will look like you and i” i said and tears fall from my eyes.
” i so much love you Rico” i pecked his dry lips, his face was looking so pale but who cares, he is still handsome as hell. we are going to make beautiful babies. i lay beside him with my head on his chest i could hear his heart beats and it’s gives me joy and strength that he was still alive ,so i slept off due to the tiredness.
i opened my eyes sluggishly and yawn loudly.
” hungry right?” i heard, Rico was now sitting on the bed smiling at me.
” oh my God” i said and hugged him, i couldn’t stop crying, my Rico was sound and healthy.
” babe” he called and i happily looked at him.
” i love you” he whispered before taking my lips on his.

” no i love you more” he says.
” i disagree with that, i love you more”.

” fine fine, we love each other equally” i said and he smiled. i checked the time, it was 12. i slept so much.
” my mom just left but she brought food for you” he said and i nodded.
” Rico” i called.
” yes babe” he answered.
” i want to ask you a question” i said.

” hm-hm would you like to have kids?” i asked nervously.
” well that came as a surprise but i will love to have if it’s only you not any other person” he said.
” will you like to have kids now, like now?” i asked again.
” yes, i don’t mind, you want us to make babies now?” he asked smirking at me.
” no that’s not what i mean” i said smiling.
” you just wanted to know?” he asked before putting his hands around my shoulders.
” yes and since you said that, we can’t make babies here because we already made a baby” i said and he laughed for a while before his laughing face turn to a confused and shocked face.
” you mean I’m going to become a father?” he asked.
” yes, I’m two weeks pregnant” i answered. he mouth widened.
” f**k I’m really a shooter” he said before kissing me. he opened my shirt then kissing my stomach.

” how do you expect me to get you fried ice cream” I asked her. she widened her eyes then started crying.

I ate from the grape as Rico massage my swollen feet.
” you massage my waist after that” I tell him and he nodded. I going to be having our baby in two weeks and I’m so so happy about that, Jasmine gave birth to a girl a month ago and I’m so happy for her. bianca gave to a girl and she was so happy because she only has boys and Charissa gave birth to a boy, that made Kelvin so Happy because he was the only boy. mark was sentence to 20 years in prison, we spend three more weeks in the hospital before Rico was discharged.
” thanks” I said after Rico was done massaging my waist.
” sleeping time” he said before pecking my lips. I lay on the bed with Rico and he put his hands around my waist. I closed my eyes and was about to sleep when I felt something like liquid coming out of my v. oh my God I’m peeing on the bed, now what will Rico think of me. I tried to stand up but I suddenly felt pains. wait is it what I’m thinking it is?. I hit Rico quickly.
” I think my just broke” I said and he looked at me.
” what water?” he asked.
” fool, the baby is coming” I screamed.
” oh my God, oh my God, oh my God, what am I going to do” he cried out nervously.
” take me to the f*cking hospital” I yelled. he stood up going to take his keys before coming to meet me. he carried me in a bridal style and he started walking downstairs. I was put into the car before he sat on the driver seat before driving off.
Rico POV
” I swear I won’t let you touch me again” bethel cried out. she kept on moaning in pain and insulting the hell out of me, is it that painful.
” we are not having any baby after this, I swear” she said , I drove as fast as I could.
” why did I even open my legs for you?”. I finally got to the hospital and I brought bethel out. the nurse’s brought the stretcher but I refuse to put her on it.
” sir Rico please you really need to put her on the stretcher” he said. I finally put her on the stretcher, I followed them, bethel cried out in pain and it hurts me so much, she was in serious pain and I wish I could take the pain for her instead, I was the cause, I got her pregnant.
” sir you can’t come in” a nurse said.
” she is my wife” I said and she nodded her head.
” I know but you can’t” she says before walking into the labor room. I nervously took my phone before dialing in mom’s number.
” mom” I called.
” Rico what’s wrong” she asked in hearing the tone of my voice.
” mo-mom she i-is” I tried to say.
” calm down Rico and talk to me” she said now getting nervous.
” bethel, she is in labor” I said.
” just calm down and I will be there, okay” she says and I nodded as if she was seeing me. mom was her within some minutes with dad she hugged me when she saw me.
” how is she?” she asked.
” no news yet” I said. I heard bethel screams, I f*cking pains me so so much.
” she is going to be fine” she said.
two hours later
doctor Matthew came out of the room, he is our new family doctor actually, he looked at me sadly.
” what’s wrong?” I asked him.he sighs
” she refused to push not until she see you and it is really making her weak” he said. I swear I’m going to kill that nurse that told me not to enter the room. I ran into the room and I looked at bethel, her face was red and a doctor was begging her to push that the baby was almost out.
” just get me my Rico” she screamed and I immediately went to meet her.
” babe” I called and she looked at me, I knelt beside her and touched her hair.
” it’s hurts so much, I want the pain to stop” she cried. tears ran down my face as I looked at her.
” it will stop only if you push Sawyer out, he is eager to see you” I said and but she kept on crying.
” babe, please for us, for our baby, he came before the due date because he really wants to meet mummy and daddy don’t you want to see Sawyer too?” I asked and she nodded.
” now push out our baby” I said and she started trying to push out the baby.
” he is almost out” doctor Matthew said and I smiled. she push again and we heard the cry of the baby.
” he is out” I said, bethel smiled weakly before closing her eyes.
” is she okay?” I asked.
” yes she is just weak, we will give her a medicine for her to regain her strength” he said and I nodded, I pecked her lips before standing up to see our baby, they were cleaning him up. I stare at him he is so handsome with his jet hair and small pink lips.
” can I carry him?” I asked and the nurse nodded. I carried him I’m carrying my son, he slowly opened his eyes but immediately close it. he has blue eyes just like bethel. wow, I carefully walked to bethel.
” he needs to eat” doctor Matthew said.
” my baby” bethel said and I looked at her, she was awake. she carried him and smiled before she started crying.
” he looks just like you” she said before kissing his cheeks. she breastfeed him and he slept off while eating bethel also slept off due to the tiredness, the family was allowed to meet her and the baby.
