” who did this to you?” she asked.
” I just hit my head on the wall ” I lied.
” were you drunk or sleeping that you couldn’t see the wall?” she asked.
” Rico distracted me, you know,” I said smiling and she quickly understood.
” ewwwwwwwn, that is so ridiculous with those disgusting abs of his, he got you too?” she asked looking very irritated, Rico immediately opened the door.
” what do you mean by ewwwwwwwn, like I have 8 packs with built body and…..”.
” an ugly face” Katherine said cutting him short, he looked at her sternly.
” What a bitch” he murmured.
” d***h**d” Katherine murmured, crazy siblings right?.
I put on easy wear, Rico and Katherine were already in the kitchen doing nothing looking for what to do because I told them not to order that I would cook, It was a waste of money if we order. ” go get the tables ready” I told Rico as he quickly went to the dining area because Katherine is looking at him with a deadly glare which means ( if you don’t go, you are in very big trouble) I laughed as she smirked feeling so proud of herself, bossy sister.
8:30 pm
it was almost time, Katherine put some powder on her face ” are you sure it is a very good idea?” she asked as she took a light red lipstick applying it to her mouth.
” yeah,” I answered trying to hold my laugh like the makeup is too much and it doesn’t suit her at all. she looked at herself in the mirror.
” I look like a slut” she said and I burst into laughter.
” Yeah, yeah” I agreed while laughing.
” like seriously” she exclaimed.
” that is not what I meant”.
” o…Kay” she said awkwardly, well I and Rico planned it, she will look so ugly that the guy wouldn’t want to stay for the night and might even break up with her, sorry but we have to do this.
9:05 pm
” ding dong” we heard the bell and Katherine happily jumped from the couch.
” he is here, he is here” she yelled happily, I and Rico opened the door and we saw a man and a little guy.
” oh hi, my name is Carl and I’m 8 I’m Katherine’s boyfriend,” he said in a British accent, so he is British, who even asked him?.
” Hi,” I said, I looked at the man who must be his guardian, and he smiled.
” good evening” he greeted, and they both walked in.
” Hey, Carl” Katherine called blushing.
” Katherine, how are you,” he asked.
” great” she replied.
” Why don’t we just have dinner” Rico suggested. we sat on the dining chairs as we began to eat.
” So what’s your full name and where are you from,” Rico asked.
” I’m Carlos David from London” he replied.
” never heard of that name so your father must be a commoner,” Rico said and chuckled, Carl looked at Katherine.
” you look beautiful today,” he said making Rico almost choke, he started coughing.
” thank you” Katherine Said, I took a glass of water handling it to Rico, and also patted his back.
” Why do you like Katherine?” I asked, he smiled for a while before replacing it with a serious face, what a gentleman he is.
” she is beautiful, mature, and wise and I’m proud to be her boyfriend,” he said.
” beautiful? like seriously, beautiful is not the first word you suppose to say not even the last, you can’t just like her because she is beautiful” I said as he looked at me confused, Katherine just kept wearing a fake smile, only God knows what was on her mind.
” you know when I was like you, I didn’t date, ” Rico said, I pitched him.
” that speech suppose to be for me” I whisper to him.
” oh”.
” I never knew any guy, like I thought they were monsters and guys don’t even know me,” I said as he narrow his eyebrows.
” hmmmmmm, I think I should be going now,” he said and Katherine quickly interrupted.
” what about the sleepover?” she asked.
” hmmm, I don’t think we should continue with the sleepover or the relationship,” he said and walked out with his guardian. Katherine yelled loudly, I and Rico shake hands as we laughed. we stopped immediately Katherine turn around looking angry as if she wants to kill us.
” I swear I didn’t want to do it, Rico forced me ” I quickly said.
” bethel……..” Rico yelled as Katherine kept drawing his ears.
” Ricky is so better than you at least he minds his business but what do you do, always spoil everything most especially for me and as for you bethel, I have punishment for both of you,” she said and I looked at Rico who was staring at me wondering what the punishment was and was also angry.
we lay on top of a small mattress on the floor with Katherine at our center.
” now you guys will do the sleepover with me on this hard floor,” she said ” good night” she added.
” good night,” we both said!!

bethel POV
Next Morning
I felt a hand on my waist as I opened my eyes, I and Rico Were both on the mattress with his hands on my waist, Katherine was no longer there. I tried to remove his hands but he drew me closer to himself, I glanced at his face admiring his beauty, his eyes closed and snoring silently….his face cracked into a smile showing his two dimples Why is he smiling??? he opened his eyes slowly….he was smiling at me why?…he drew me closer to himself, making his face few inches away from mine.
“Where you going somewhere wifey,” he asked grinning, he is obviously up to something.
“Do we need to start this, this morning?” I asked and his smile slowly turn to a frown.
” what?” he asked doing his face like a high school innocent guy, what is he up to?.
” you need a kiss??” he asked and he winked, flirting this early morning.
” no, I don’t need one,” I said.
” Okay, two?” he asked.
” non, can you tell me what you are up to?” I asked.
” hard to get huh?”.
” what hard…….” he cut me shut.
” Just play along, my parents are fucking staring at us” he whispered. I looked around the room but couldn’t see them.

” CCTV cameras,” he said ” just play along” he added.
” Are they listening to us?” I asked.

” fine they are no CCTV cameras watching us, I just want to be friends,” he said with his hands still on my waist. ” pranks again right?” I asked.
” I’m serious Bethel, no pranks,” he said and I looked at him for a while.
” like seriously?” I asked and he nodded.
” Yeah, like I have seen how amazing you are, it will be cool if we are friends,” he said and I smiled.
” Okay, yes but can you leave me alone now,” I said laughing, he released his hands from my waist, and I felt something important have just left me. I stood up from the mattress, wow what suddenly came into Rico’s head, I walked into the bathroom, I took my toothbrush and toothpaste and applied the toothpaste on the toothbrush before putting it into my mouth. the water flow down my naked body, and I wonder where Katherine was, I took the blue towel to clean my body before opening the bathroom door, I peep if Rico was still there but he wasn’t, I always forget my clothes in the room. I walked into the room, opened the dressing room, brought out all my clothes, and put on my undies.
the door opened and I immediately covered my body with the towel, I looked at the person, and I saw an unfamiliar face staring at me.
” hmmmmm sorry,” he said and went out “who was that guy,” I thought, I put on a white T-shirt and blue shorts, and I packed my hair into a messy bun.
I walked downstairs, I saw Katherine with that guy I saw earlier laughing together, Rico was just staring at them with an angry face.
” Hey,” I called as all their glares turn to me.
” bethel” Katherine called. ” come over here,” she said waving her small hands, I walked to them, and I looked at the guy for a while before turning my glares at Katherine.
” This is my brother Ricky and Ricky this is Rico’s wife you must know her,” she said and he nodded, I could see the resemblance between him and Rico now.
” Nice to meet you,” I said bringing my hands for a handshake but he didn’t take it, I awkwardly brought my hands back.
” I don’t shake hands but I hug,” he said before hugging me, I looked at Rico as Ricky was hugging me, he looked angrier than before.
” that’s enough Ricky, my wife has had enough,” Rico said standing up and heading towards us.
” wife??” he asked.
” Yeah, have you been deaf for months?” Rico asked.
” or you mean an arranged marriage?” Ricky asked with a smirk on his face.
” asshole” Rico said.
” d***h***,” Ricky said and both of them began to laugh, what is wrong with them.
” so you were the bad guy in the movie ?” Rico asked then Ricky walked to him.
” yes, I kinda raped the man’s wife,” he said then Rico whispered something in his ear and Ricky laughed.
” no I won’t do that, it was just a movie,” Ricky said and Rico smiled.
” always gossiping without me,” Katherine said.
” We weren’t,” Ricky said.
” yeah I know, bethel food is ready,” Katherine said.
” wait, who made it?” I asked.
” Ricky did, Katherine said, wow he can cook.
” can you please teach Rico how to cook because he is a total jerk at that stuff,f,” I said as Ricky and Katherine Burst into laughter?
” what’s so funny,” Rico asked trying to sound annoyed.
” and to you too Katherine,” I said and she frown her face.
” I’m just seven( 7)” she yelled and everyone laughed again. like today was fun with Rico’s brother he is really funny just like Cole, I miss spending time with Cole just that he is so tied up and I understand what he is passing true the shocking news of becoming a father. I lay beside Rico who was already asleep, I look at him for a while before switching off the light, I closed my eyes and finally slept off!!.
Next Morning
I slowly opened my eyes, I saw Rico staring at me immediately he saw my eyes opened he closed his eyes as if he was sleeping, I smiled.
” that doesn’t suit you,” I said then he opened his eyes slowly as of nothing happened.
”Good morning” he said before smiling.
” you need to become an actress,” I said.
” gross…” he said ” no it’s so fucking stressful do you know Ricky had to be taking painkillers every day” he added.
” hmmmmm, I would be visiting Cole and Jasmine today” he looked at me for a while before nodding his head.
” can I tag along?” he asked staring at me.
” yeah sure, why not”.
” you know that’s a lot of answers for just one question,” he said as we both laughed.
At Cole’s apartment
we walked into Cole’s apartment ” thanks” I murmur to Jasmine who nodded her head in response. Rico sat on a couch while I walked into Cole’s room, he was sitting on the bed with some bandages on his face.
” Hey,” I called, he turned his attention to me looking at me in surprise.
” bethel” he called then stood up walking toward me, he hugged me tightly like he haven’t seen me for months.
” Cole” I called as we both laughed.
” Did he hurt you?” he asked with a worried tone.
” no, he didn’t, he won’t dare, and besides we are friends now,” I said then he smiled.
we walked into the sitting room, I saw Rico and Jasmine staring at each looking as if they were in a hot fight.
” I think you guys need to go,” Jasmine said and I looked at her with a questioning face.
” why?” Cole asked.
” I don’t think they are welcome here anymore,” she said, Cole looked at her.
” I don’t want to say what is on my mind Jasmine” Cole said.
” they are no longer welcome here because Rico is so annoying” she yelled.
” if she is not welcome here then so are you” Cole yelled angrily ” you would have just said he not her, she is my best friend,” he said softly.
” I’m sorry” she murmur ” just that Rico wants me to come back home,” she said as a drop of tears dropped from her eyes.
” she can’t go home after she have being driven by you and your family members,” Cole said and he hugged Jasmine wiping the tears on her face.
” do you know what her father would think?” Rico asked.
” I don’t care,” Jasmine said.
” do you know what my father would think?” Rico asked.
” I don’t still f*****g care,” she said.
” do you know what our uncle, aunt, and cousins will think?” he asked.
” I said I don’t care”.
” haha” Rico let out a little chuckle ” and do you know what grandfather would think,” he said as that word made Jasmine tremble.
” Grandpa” she whispered and slowly passed out, what is so scary about this Grandfather stuff.
Rico drove into the compound, we were in Rico’s parent’s house after Jasmine pass out we had to rush her to the hospital and they said she was fine that is just a minor thing, Rico’s father called and told us that he wanted to speak with us and it was urgent, we left the hospital instantly. the door opened showing Rico’s mother shining her white tooth. she hugged me tightly.
” bethel” she called happily.
” Mrs. Jefferson” I called.
” no call me mom” she corrected.
” oh Mom,” I said then Rico clear his throat.
” it seems that mom forgot she had a son,” he said majestically.
” oh Shawn, I just couldn’t remember you were there, just looking at my precious little darling who had gone through a lot in your hands,” she said before hugging him, we walked into the big sitting room seeing M.r Jefferson sitting on a couch.
” good afternoon” I greeted and he nodded his head.
” dad” Rico called staring at him.
” I have a lot of things I want to tell you both, Rico” he quickly said.

” can you both sit?” he asked and we both sat down.
” Remember that stuff I told you guys about before bethel entered into a coma, like Bethel getting pregnant?” he asked and we nodded, is should not be that one, please.
” We have to continue with the plan,” he said ” that means bethel you would be getting pregnant,” he said as Rico just nodded his head, this is hilarious.
” and you would be staying here, only God knows if you are not using c****m,” he said, we are not even having s*x.
” and lastly your grandfather is coming to New York and all your cousins and uncles and aunties are coming too and they are all staying in this building”.
