“So… What can I do for you” she asked beaming, I hesitated for a while not knowing how to explain it
“Actually am looking for a case file from 13th December 2005” I said
She glanced at me for a while and then focused on her computer “Am sorry sir but the case is closed” she said after a few minutes of silence
“But if you want to reopen the case… You have to go to the court, it can’t be done……”
“Actually I just nee-d it for investigation, that’s all” I said sharply
“Oh… Since you are using for investigation, I would let you go throu-gh it” she said working on her computer
“Okey… Thanks” I said “you have to wait for a few minutes” she said
I nodded and sat down at the stool close to her….. I took my time to go throu-gh the place…. Everyone looked busy, some where walking to and fro holding a file
“Here…..” She said handing over the files to me
“Thanks…. But are you sure everything is here” I asked
She stared at me superstitiously “everything you nee-d is there so don’t worry… And for the record’s I just gave you this files because of your cute face, closed case are only issued to generals un-derstand” she said almost rudely
“Yeah…. Thanks” I said leaving “review them here…. I can answer some questions” she said after me
I turned to her and she blinked her right eye at me smiling, I shakes my head negatively “She got to be kidding me”

Emperor Bhalladev was seated on his throne having a council meeting with his ministers
Chandu was tied to the death seat, his clothe were tattered and torn into pieces, his face was covered with bruises and his whole b©dy filled with the map of a wh!p….. Two guards were standing opposite him side by side incase if he tries to misbehave… His head was lowered to the ground, blood dropping from his wounds
It was the speculated day for the guards to return to the palace with the report they have gotten so far
The guards walked in, in the company of Prince Amerenda…. They knelt before the Emperor
“Report…” He said getting impatient
“No news of D yet but…..” One of the guards was saying when Emperor Bhalladev cutted in sharpy
“No news of him yet…. Tell me what have been doing, hunting animals in the forest” he raved standing up
“No…..”
“Silence…. Fool, you and your men can’t catch a single man… Tell me what can you do” Emperor Bhalladev asked
Everywhere bec@m£ quiet like a graveyard… Who dare talks when the emperor is talking
“Father…. We discovered something” Prince Amerenda said after a few minutes of silence
“Discovered something… What” he asked
“We followed the path we had seen the gun, we made some inquiry from the local woman and hunters and from what they said D is in Malawi with a man named Bawa
At the mention of Bawa, Chandu raised his face and glared at Prince Amerenda….. Alot of things ran throu-gh his mind and he wished there was a way he could st©p the guards from saying any further thing
Emperor Bhalladev stared at Chandu, from the way Chandu was glaring at his son, he knew without being told that his son was right
“Finally… He found D” he thought and bur-st into an evil laughter
All eye fell on him… They were wondering what was ma-king him laugh, everyone except from Chandu… He knew Emperor Bhalladev was a very corny man and dangerous
“Gather the best warriors we have at the filed camp and wait for my orders…..” Emperor Bhalladev said and the guards bowed before leaving
Emperor Bhalladev walked down from his throne, his face was plastered with a smile which made the guards scared…
A smile was ha-rd ly seen on his face and whenever he suddenly starts smiling, it means danger
He stood in front of Chandu for a while before he bent towards him “I feel so bad killing you Chandu… Not after you served me” he said with a worried voice
Chandu didn’t say a word, he knew Emperor Bhalladev more than anyone even him…. He doesn’t even know himself at all
“Now I would strike a deal with you Chandu” he began…. Chandu raised his face and stared at him wondering what the deal was
“I haven’t killed all your family yet and I am re-ady to spear their life and yours too…. Not just that, you would be made a minister with alot of wealth, you family would be highly respected and your name shall be erased from slavery” he paused for a while to observe his face
“Father….” Prince Amerenda called but Emperor Bhalladev raised his left hand
“I can do many more things for you Chandu… You just nee-d to do one thing”
“Which is” he asked in a low voice, his voice were weak because of the numerous screaming whenever he is being punished
“Tell me where I can find Bawa and D” he said
The throne was covered with murmuring coming from the Ministers and the guards
Chandu lowered his head to the ground… For the next ten minutes, only the murmurs was heard
“I nee-d an answer Chandu” Emperor Bhalladev said getting furious
“Never…….” His voice s£nt anger into Emperor Bhalladev whole b©dy and fear into the guards and ministers
“Never…..” Emperor Bhalladev asked just to be sure he heard him right
Chandu raised his face, staring into his eyes “Betrayal is your code of conduct… Everything you have today, the throne, power, fame, wealth…..everything, you achieved throu-gh betrayal”
“I don’t want to be like you Bhalladev… You betrayer, you betrayed your own brother because of the throne and wealth” he screamed
He received two resounding sl@ps immediately he completed the last s£ntence
Who dare speak to Emperor Bhalladev in that manner, who dare look him at his face talkmore of staring into his eyes
Who dare address him by his name, who dare call him names, abuse him… No one speaks ill about him
Chandu just t©uçhed the lions tail
“How dare you…..” Emperor Bhalladev asked, the murmuring increa-sed, everyone was surprised… What gave him the guts to utter those words
“Allow me to punish him father”Prince Amerenda said kneeling with his right kneel
His father stared at him and then to Chandu…. “You dare insult me before my people… Before my throne” Emperor Bhalladev raved angrily
“I would make sure you regret this…. I would set you as an example to those that want to question my throne” he added
“Make him feel much more pain until he tells you where Bawa is As well as D but make sure to keep him alive, I want to excute him together with D” he whispered to him
Prince Amerenda nodded in approval “your death will be a lesson to others” Emperor Bhalladev said and left the throne room
His minister’s followed suit leaving only Chandu, Prince Amerenda and few other guards
Another sl@p landed on Chandu’s cheeks “I would make sure you plead for death” he whispered into his ear
Chandu glared at him with burning anger…. “Do you have the guts to do that….” Chandu said and another sl@p landed on his cheeks
“Take him away” he ordered and the guards took Chandu back to the dungeon.

I knocked for a few minutes but didn’t get any response “is he still asleep or something” I muttered knocking ha-rder
“Are you sure we are at the right house” Sasha asked, I guess she was alre-ady getting impatient
“Yes we are…. Maybe he is still asleep.. That’s why” I said
“Oh…. Clumsy you are here” I heard a familiar voice say, I turned it was the man that had rented Rocky the house
“Its Shaina” I said bowing lightly, Sasha also did the same “I know… But Clumsy is better, anyways Rocky isn’t around” he said
“What……” I asked “I saw him leave very early this morning and he is not back yet” he said
“This morning… Do you kind of know where he went to” I asked
“No… I saw him from my window… Why don’t you call him… I guess he left for business” he said walking away
“Business……..” My heart raced back to my discussion with Rocky “he said he c@m£ to Mumbai because of unfinished business”
“Didn’t you tell him we were coming” Sasha snapped me out of my thought
“I did…. I guess the business was important” I lied
“Really.. Well I don’t have plenty of time to spend okey” she said and made to leave but I st©pped her
“We alre-ady paid for this job Sasha… You can’t leave like that” I said
“You paid my boss, go and collect your money from him if you have the guts to do so” she snapped and left
“Holy crab…. I thought she was more calm then the first girl j meet… Prostitudes are the same everywhere” I sighed as I watched her leave
I glanced at Rocky’s door “What sort of business is that anyway”

I exhaled de-eply immediately I left the house, “Oh thank goodness, he isn’t around” I said
I have been praying since yesterday my boss Sir Nas-ser told me about having a one night stand with a stranger I know nothing about
The deity answered my prayers… For the first time since I was born… If only the deity had answered all my prayers, I wouldn’t have been caught in this Nas-ser’s web
I had no money on me so trekking was the only way to get home….

My phone beeped it was Sir Nas-ser calling…. I held my breath and answered the phone
“You have thirty minutes to get your filthy self here before I ripe you ap@rt” he said and ended the call
“S¢v-mbag…. He didn’t even let me speak” I muttered and increa-sed my step
I know Sir Nas-ser and what he can do, but why is he suddenly calling me, I mean I went out for business, what if the stranger was around… What would I have done…..
