The doctor arrived moments later, his bag of medical supplies slung over his shoulder. He knelt beside the king and took the queen’s pulse, his expression grave.
“We need to get her to her chambers immediately,” he said, his voice urgent.
King Romano nodded and carried Caterina in his arms, following the doctor to her room.
Old Queen Alice and Caterina gathered around, their faces filled with worry.
“What happened to her?”Rachel asked
The Royal Doctor sighs and faces King Romano
“The Queen is stressed and it isn’t good for her condition,” he said
“Condition?”
“Yes, I know it sounds somehow but the queen is carrying a child, And it’s just a day,” the doctor said
The room fell silent, the weight of the king’s words sinking in. The queen was carrying a child, and it was a delicate and dangerous time for her.
The King’s eyes widened in surprise, and he glanced at the Caterina’s stomach, not yet showing signs of pregnancy.
“Your Majesty, this changes everything,” he said, his voice urgent. “We must take all possible precautions to protect the queen and her unborn child.”The doctor said
The king looked from the doctor to the queen, his mind racing.
“What do we need to do?” he asked, his voice steady but filled with worry. The doctor thought for a moment, his brow furrowed in concentration.
“We must make sure that the queen is well-rested and well-fed,” he said.
“She must be kept calm and stress-free. And I must ask that no visitors be allowed to see her, except for her closest attendants.” The king nodded, his eyes never leaving the queen’s face.
Caterina opened her eyes
“Darling” Old Queen smiled and sat beside her
“What happened Mother,” Caterina asked
“I guess the king didn’t take it easy on you, and now you’re carrying my grandchild” old queen Alice smiled
“I’m pregnant,” Queen Caterina asked
“Yes my queen and all I want you to do now is to take a rest, stressing yourself is not good for you,” King Romano said and Caterina hugged him
“I’m so happy my king” Caterina smiled happily
The king returned Caterina’s smile, his eyes crinkling at the corners.
“I am too, my love,” he said, his voice full of affection.
“We will make a wonderful family, the three of us.” Caterina’s heart swelled at his words, and she felt like she could burst with happiness. She leaned forward and kissed the king gently on the lips.
“I love you, Romano,” she said, her voice soft and full of emotion.
“And I love you, Caterina,” the king said, his voice trembling with emotion.
“You have given me more happiness than I could ever have dreamed of. You are my light, my strength, and my everything.” Caterina’s eyes filled with tears at his words, and she wrapped her arms around him, holding him close.
“We’re still here” Rachel shouted as the old Queen Alice laughed too
The old queen’s laughter rang out, and it seemed to fill the room with joy.
“You two lovebirds are simply adorable,” she said, her eyes sparkling. Rachel grinned, her cheeks flushed with happiness.
“We try our best, Your Majesty,” she said, her voice warm and teasing. The old queen shook her head, her laughter subsiding.
“I must say, I’m glad to see such happiness in the palace,” she said, her voice thoughtful.
“So do we wanna talk about Cyril” King Romano said and Rachel’s smile fell off
The room fell silent, and Rachel’s face paled.
“I’m not sure I’m ready to talk about that,” she said, her voice strained.
“It’s still too painful.” The king looked at her, his expression full of compassion.
“I understand,” he said, his voice gentle. “But perhaps it would be good to talk about it, to help you heal.” Rachel bit her lip, unsure of what to say.
“I’ll think about it,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
“No pressure, did,” King Romano said, reaching out to squeeze her hand.
“You take all the time you need.” Rachel nodded, grateful for his understanding.
“Thank you,” she said, a small smile playing on her lips. King Romano nodded and then turned to the old queen.
“Now, Mother,” he said, his voice taking on a mischievous tone.
“I need new maids for my wife,-“
“No, my king, I don’t want a new maid, I’m sure we can trust the rest,” Caterina said
“No, we can’t, I don’t want to endanger your life and my unborn child,” King Romano said
“I understand you, my king, please just give them this second chance,” Caterina said
“We will be celebrating this good news tonight and I want you two at the Royal dining room,” Old Queen Alice said
“Sure Mother, we will be there” Caterina smiled
“Then let me go start the preparations, follow me Rachel” Old Queen Alice smiled as she walked out with Rachel
King Romano smiled and hugged Caterina
“Can’t believe I’ll be a father” He gushed
“Same here, my king” Caterina smiled as she continued hugging him

(Maxim’s Mansion)
Maxim was smoking in his study room as he descended the stairs, Richard would be seen sitting in his living room
“See who’s here” Maxim smiled as he walked to Richard
“I have to come to see you since you and Romano ignored me like an outcast,” Richard said
“I’m sorry buddy, I’ve been busy with a project,” Maxim said
“I’m also busy, but sometimes I still think if I’m the jobless one cause, I’m not as busy as you and Romano,” Richard said
“I’m sorry, for neglecting you” Maxim smiled
“It’s okay buddy, when did Romano call you last?”Richard asked
“He’s always busy yunno, we should go see him soon,” Maxim said
“Yeah we should” Richard replied

(MARCELLUS PALACE ~KING CHAMBER)
King Romano dropped Caterina on the bed, she wouldn’t stop smiling and it kind of made the king curious
“What’s gotten you so happy?” the king asked a hint of amusement in his voice. Caterina grinned, her eyes sparkling.
“I’m just happy to be here, with you,” she said, reaching out to take his hand. The king’s heart fluttered at her words, and he felt a surge of love for her.
“I’m happy you’re here too,” he said, pulling her close and kissing her softly on the lips.
“I……”
“Your majesty” Tedros’s voice made her stop and they both turned toward the door
“Your Majesty, you have a guest. One of the councils is here to see you” Tedros said and Romano turned to Caterina who gave him a sad look
“I will be back, it is very important. You will stay here until I’m back right?” He asked
Caterina nodded, her eyes wide and fearful.
“I’ll stay here,” she said, her voice shaky. “But please be careful.” The king kissed her on the forehead and then turned to Tedros.
“Take me to the him,” he said, his face set in a determined expression. Tedros nodded, and the two men left the room, leaving Caterina alone.
Caterina groaned and fell on the bed, her eyes searching for nothing in particular as they roamed around the whole room.
She was restless as she lay on the bed so she sat up again, she kept on sleeping and sitting until she couldn’t wait anymore.
“I will just come back” She muttered and left the king’s chamber.
She got to her suite and was dumbfounded to see the whole place in a changed position
It was arranged even more beautifully, sweet fragrance filled the whole place. She walked deeper in and on the dining table was a big basket of different fruits.
She finally saw her maids who were still busy
“You’re welcome Your Majesty ” They all bowed at once
“What’s going on here?” Caterina asked still looking around
“Old queen ordered us to rearrange everywhere, and she told us to make sure you eat those fruits so another one would be here soon….”
“Mother?” Caterina asked again
“Yes your majesty” Vikky replied and Caterina chuckled
“Why is she doing so much?” She muttered, smiling as she walked away
Vikky immediately went to get some strawberries and then followed Caterina into the room.
“Your majesty” She muttered, handing the bowl to Caterina
“Strawberries, I prefer apples,” Caterina said
“Then I will bring apples…. ”
“No don’t, I will eat everything Mother sent so don’t worry” Caterina smiled
Jenna gave it to her and she started eating it
“Wow, tasty” she licked her bottom lip
Vikky stood there, watching as she finished everything, and then slowly she fell on the bed and slept off
She covered her with the duvet cover before leaving the room.

(Malia’s Mansion)
Pinky drove inside the compound and came out of her car as she walked inside the house, everywhere was silent as she entered and it was so unusual
Pinky’s heart began to beat faster as she walked through the eerily silent house. It was so unusual for the place to be so still, especially at this time of day. Where was everyone? She couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong.
She hurried to the kitchen, hoping to find someone there, but it was empty. The room was spotless as if no one had been there in days. Fear began to grip her, and she turned to leave but stopped short when she heard a noise behind her.
“H…help” A faint voice could be heard and Pinky turned on her flashlight to see Malia in a pool of blood
“Aah” Pinky screamed loudly
