I stood in the palace along with Brian parents
After the argument we had , I c@m£ back’ to the palace to know what happened.
I was waiting for him to arrive when his parents c@m£ saying that Brian had asked them to be at the palace,
If he had asked them to be there,Then is he planning on telling every one about me,I thought
Just then he walked in along with Natasha and he looked so very angry
“What happen”His father asked
“Dad,I don’t know what has gotten into Brian,He beat up my husband and left him there with out any help”Natasha said as she cried into her Mother arms
“Brian what happen?”The king asked his son
“I will explain later,Mom plea-se take Natasha away to calm down”He said to his mother
And she took the crying Natasha to the room.
“Tell me what’s wrong?” The king asked
“I found out that Micheal is the one who have been trying to kill me”He said
“Micheal,Natasha husband bu……but why?”his father asked
He starred at me before answering his father
“I also don’t know the reason yet and that is what am going to find out soon”He said
“So where is this bastard!”The king yelled
“By now he will be in jail, the beating I gave him made him pas-s out,That will give the police enough time to get there”
“Good,A man like that nee-ds to rot in jail for the rest of his life”His father said
“Don’t tell Natasha about it,She really loved him even though he doesn’t deserve her”Brian said to his father and he began to head to his room.
I followed him silently and when we finally got to the room, I lashed out at him.
“Why did you do that to him”I yelled at Brian
“Do what?”
“Micheal is very dangerous and you having hurt him, he will surely retaliate”I replied
“Retaliate with what? The bastard nee-ds to be in jail and don’t worry,I haven’t forgotten your p@rt in all this, As soon as am throu-gh with Micheal, You will be next”He said
“I don’t care what you do to me! What I care about right now is How Micheal will retaliate”I said
“He has nothing to hold over me,So if he has to retaliate,He should do it behind bars”
“So easy for you to say! I had begged you not to do any thing,You said he has nothing to retaliate with,Well he has my father with him! That is what he has used to black mail me,That is the only reason why am here doing what I hate most in the world and that is lying” I yelled at him angrily.
BRIAN POV
“What do you mean by he has your father, Your father left for a business me…….oh that’s Dora father,Tell me which father are you talking about ”
“My birth father Brian,To you this might be a joke but to me it means so much” She said looking so worried and agitated
For the first time I wondered if I did the right thing
She sat on the be-d,looking scared and agitated
“Micheal is not some one to be cross with! He took my father hostage and f0rç£d me to do this, if I didnt do it,My father dies, I thought that I could convince you from not going to confront him but you did and to make matter worse,He will know that I told you about it and to take revenge on me,He will hurt my father”
“Don’t exaggerate, Micheal alre-ady knows you and he won’t want to do any thing to hurt your father”I tried to reas-sure her
“If I hadn’t bother to save you in all of the attacks you faced, You won’t be here right now”She said
I was about to respond when my phone began to ring
I picked it only to get bad news from one of my guards
“We are really sorry your Highness but we lost Micheal”The guard said
“But how the hell did that happen?”I asked angrily
“We had him with us for a while but we lost him, We really are sorry your Highness”The guard begged
“I don’t care how you do it but you better find that man and you do it as soon as possible”I said and switched off the phone
I stared at Emma to find her starring at me, “He ran away right?”She asked
“Yes”I replied and she sli-pped off the be-d into the floor
quic-kly I knelt in front of her,Holding her hand
“I told you! Micheal will surely come back to get his revenge and My dad…..My dad will surely be the one to pay”She said crying
“Nothing will happen to your dad”I said
“So easy for you to say right? For the past 3 months,I have been living my life constantly worrying about him,Do you know that he is In a coma and yet Micheal took him, Using his illness as an excuse to f0rç£ me to work for him?”She said
“And yet,not having the heart to kill you,I defiled Micheal and I kept on saving you, Knowing that you were Alive Even when you didn’t love me was enough for me, That was why I risked my life just to protect yours but it seemed like I did wrong”She said wiping off the tears on her face
“Do….I ha-rd ly even know what to call you?”i said starring at her
“Just call me by the fake name,No matter what we nee-d to continue”She replied
“Why not just come out clean and tell every one about it”I asked
“Not until I know that my father is safe and you can’t guarantee me that, So I will just have to do it myself” She stated
“What will you do?”I asked
“Its none of your business”She said standing up from the floor
“Hey don’t go and do any thing stupid,Micheal is dangerous”I warned her
“Thanks for the warning,I alre-ady knew Micheal way before you did, After all he was my step brother, I would only ask you to keep my secret until I get my father back in my custody”She said and left the room
Did I over react by going to Micheal house to beat the bastard up.
“Yes you did”My conscience taunted me silently .
“I will just have to find a way to keep her safe, I thought as I quic-kly brou-ght out my phone
“Keep an eye on my wife and you must not lose her”I said into the phone
“Yes your majesty”He said and switched off the phone.
MICHEAL POV
“just fix my face and st©p starring”I yelled at the frightened nurse,Who stood watching my swollen face
“I don’t know if it would work”she replied
“It must work okay,It certainly must work or else you won’t leave here alive” I said angrily and immediately she got to work
“Boss,The police are still searching for you along with his Highness guards”one of my men who just c@m£ in said
“That bastard”I said hitting the table
How the hell had Brian found out the truth,It could only have been Emma who told him.
The bastard had taken me off guard and had beaten the hell out of me but his mistake was leaving me there, Did he think that I will still be there Unconscious
He didn’t think we’ll, I thought as the nurse cleaned up my swollen face.
Just then the door opened and Two of my guards walked Nina in
“What’s going on?”she said as she was pushed on the floor
“Did you help that bit-ch in betraying me, Did you tell Brian about our plans”I asked angrily
“Of course not,I did no such thing”She said quic-kly
“I will take your word for it, So Emma did betray me”I muttered
“Yes she did and it’s time you wake up and see her for who she really is” she said as she stood up
“I told you that girl will be a problem for us but you never listened”She said as she c@m£ to stand beside me
“Well she will certainly cease being a problem for us because I will certainly make sure she pays for betraying me”I said
“What are your plans for her?”
“Just some thing that am still thinking”
“What ever it is just count me in okay,I would like to watch Brian face when he realise what we are doing to the girl he loves”She said and I held her hand in a ti-ght grip
“What did you just say?”
“What exactly?”She asked back
“The p@rt about Emma being Brian love”I asked
” Oh I didn’t bother to tell you because I was very busy but Emma loves Brian, She fell for him and Brian did the same too, Though they haven’t confessed to each other yet, I think Brian is holding back or Emma is doing ,I just don’t know,all I know is that They love each other”Nina said
“Why didn’t you ever tell me this!”I yelled at Nina ma-king the nurse jump
“Tell you what?”She asked looking shocked her self
“That Brian loves Emma”
“Its because it skipped my mind and I never thought you will be interested?”She replied
“I am very,When it pertains to Emma,I am very interested, Emma belongs to me and no one else”I yelled angrily
“What do you mean by that Micheal?”
“It means that Emma is mine and i won’t share her with any one else”
“Have you been in love with Emma too?”She asked
“I watched her grow up,I kept on bullying her, but when she grew up to be perfect in her teen, I wanted her,She is the reason why I left, I had to make money and then go back to her but life had to throw Natasha my way and I had to get married”
“All I wanted from Natasha was her money but her j£rk of a brother kept on holding it, He never gave me the chance to do any thing and then I thought of this plan and thought of her,That was why I brou-ght her into this plan”
“So you are saying you sincerely love Emma?”
“I don’t believe in love but I do believe in lvst, Have always wanted her and I won’t let a creep like Brian take her from me, I won’t”I said angrily.

A WEEK LATER
BRIAN POV
“Its been a week alre-ady and still nothing?”I asked the police officer who was in my study
“We are trying our best your Highness,Micheal is a very sly man, Each time we manage to know his where about, he leaves Before we get there” the officer said
“Then find a way not to make him know,No matter what we must catch Micheal”I replied angrily
“Yes your Highness, We will do our best to get him “He replied and left the room.
Its been a week alre-ady and we have heard nothing, The bastard knew how to hide well, I thought.
Just then the door bur-st open and my PA ran in
“What’s going on?”I asked
“Its her Highness, She insist on going out”He said
“Where is she right now?”I asked
“At the entrance,No matter how many times your guards tell her to go back,She wouldnt listen”He said
I left the office and went to the entrance.
“I said let me pas-s, I nee-d to go out” I heard her say as she tried to wiggle her way but the guards were too strong for her .
“Dora!”I called gently and she turned to stare at me
Angrily she walked towards me “it’s been a week alre-ady,How long are you going to keep me locked in the palace”She said
“Can every one leave us alone”I said and they did as I ordered ,Well ap@rt from the guards who stood on guard not so far from us
“Just let me leave,I still have to look for my dad”She said
For the past one week, She has been filled with Worry and each time I see her that way, I feel very guilty
I shouldnt have gone to Micheal house to attack him, I should have just called the cops but my anger for once blinded my reasoning
“You can’t leave, Can’t you see that if you leave here, You are prone to danger”
“I don’t care,My father is out there and I don’t even know what Micheal is doing to him , All I know is that I nee-d to leave” She said
“And am not going to let you leave!”I said
“Why do you insist on having me here, You hate me for lying to you , For taking some one else life, Why won’t you just let me leave, After all you should be happy that I will be leaving with out asking for any thing from you”She said
“Its still a no Emma, I won’t risk your life “He said
“Like you will care if some thing happen to me” she said
“And what if I tell you that I do care?”
“That will be a lie, You don’t care about me Brian,So just st©p with the act and let me leave”She turned heading for the gate
But I pu-ll-ed her back to my b©dy, She tried to pu-ll free but I held her back
“Let me go!”She said
For the past one week have tried to control my feelings towards Emma but I just can’t any more.
I don’t know when or how but what I do know is that, Have fallen for the lady who barged in to my life to turn it up side down.
Am sure that I started to fall for her when we were at the camp site but I didn’t want to acknowledge it
But every thing bec@m£ clear when I realise that she was innocent in Micheal scheme.
Each time I heard her crying in the room, I wanted to go in and calm her but I had no right to do that,I missed her smile, She hadly smiled and am sure that it’s because of her Missing father.
She is always starring at her phone and waiting for Micheal call and that alone pisses me off, I don’t like sharing and I won’t have Emma thinking about any one else.
She might have lied and might have been living as some one else but still the same I love her and I won’t let her leave, Not now or ever.
“What wrong with you Brian, Is this your way of trying to st©p me, Well you aren’t goi………”She didn’t get to finish what she was saying because I k!$$£d her.
She stood quite still at first but she began to move herl-ips with mine.
I k!$$£d her for a long time, I wanted her to only think about this k!ssand nothing else, i wanted her to know how I feel with this k!ss.
Suddenly she pushed me and moved out of my arms
“Is this another way to st©p me,Le….let me tell you that it didn’t work”She said tou-ching herl-ips
“Its not a way to st©p you Emma,I just wanted you to know how I feel”I said
“And how do you feel?”She asked
I pu-ll-ed her into my arms once again and held her ti-ght
“I never thought I will be feeling this way ever since what Nina did to me”I said
“Feeling which way?”
“I love you ,It might be a bit odd and strange to you but I do love you”I said and angrily she pushed me away
“Is this another method to keep me here”She asked
“Its not ,I mean it Emma, I do love you and I know you do too”I said
“How did you know that?” she asked
“I over head your conversation with Nina in the be-d room, She was telling you that she didn’t love me but you told her you love me”I said
“So you knew a long time ago that I loved you and yet you kept shut about it?” She asked looking sad
“No I…….”
“Just save it for some one else, You knew yet you toyed with my feelings”She said
“I didn’t toy with your feelings”
“How do you make up for the story of me seeing you and Nina in the be-d and yet you say you love me”
“Emma I…..”
“St©p it Brian, plea-se,Just leave me alone”She said and walked back to the house.
I stood at the entrance watching her leave, Seems like she doesn’t believe that I love her and why would she, I never made her feel that I was interested in her any way
I was about going after her when my phone began to ring
I picked it without looking at the caller.
“Hello!”I said
“The next time you t©uçh Emma like that again, I will make sure I cut off your damn hands “Micheal said suddenly
At first I stared around and when I saw no one, I spoke into the phone
“So you were having us watched?”I asked feeling angry
“I have nothing to do with you in p@rticular,It’s the lady with you that am having watched and you will never know how “He replied
“Where the hell are you?”
“Do you think I will tell you, You make me laugh”
“Once I find you,I will finish you off Micheal”I said
“Not if I do first,You caught me unaware the first time, I won’t let you go the second time”
“Bas……..”
“Calling me names won’t change any thing,I only called to tell you to let Emma leave”
“And why should I do that ?”
“Because I say so ,Because I want her to be here with me”
“And why would you want her to be there with you”I asked
“Are you stupid or are you pretending to be one”He asked
“Am not,I just want to know why you are asking me to realease her to you”
“Well it’s simple, It’s because My darling Emma belongs to me, She is mine and I won’t let you have her”He said and that made me angry
“Emma is not yours,You made it possible for her to be mine,She married me and as long as am her husband, I won’t let you any where near her”
“You really want to make me mad, let Emma come to me or I promise you that you will regret it” He said again
“You just don’t learn do you? Does Emma look like some one that wants to return to you?”
“She might not want to but she will when I talk to her about her father”
“You better not harm him!”
“Wow,Being in love with Emma have made you more thoughtful but don’t worry I won’t t©uçh him and in exchange you bring Emma to me”
“You can wait forever cause I have no intention of taking her to you”I said and cut the call.
Micheal wants Emma, Just thinking about it made me feel angry.
Judging by what he said,He is willing to use any method to have Emma return to him and I won’t let that happen, I thought as I quic-kly went in search of Emma.
I went to the room to search for her but she wasn’t there,The guards also helped with the search but we found nothing.
Just then some where popped into my head and I went to the court yard and there she was sitted on one of the chairs placed there
I felt relieved when I saw her there and immediately I ran towards her and pu-ll-ed her to her feet and then I hvgged her ti-ghtly
“No matter what happens Emma don’t you dare leave me, Don’t!”I warned as I held her more fiercely.
