Chapter Fifty Three :
Ares
Falling down my back crack and I gro-an in pain, fu-ck ing shit!! Not bothering to stand up I lay down looking at the sky, where am I now, the sky wasn’t blue but pure white
I had no idea they was a place like this, how could this be possible, is this really the fountain. Sitting up I look around the sky turn dark, so dark that it is ha-rd to see a thing

Standing up I felt something touch my shoulder, my cloth covering that region melt and I know is about to start, the rain of poison, am I ready for this??
Moving back I escape a drop of poison, I move to my left, escaping a fire then right, left, right, left. My face curve into a smile. If this is how its done then it sure will be simple
Thun-der strike loudly which made me flinch then a full rain pour of poison and fire begin, they was no where to run to this time
I fell to my knees, clench my hands and close my eyes as the poison pour on me gradually, I could feel my bones melting and am on fire ” Ahhh!!” I gro-an, I thought I could handle this but I couldn’t, it hurts too much
My body is on fire and the poison seem to be the fuel ” shit!!” I gro-an feeling my body melting slowly, this is what a slow death, will I make it, will he acknowledge me ” please!!” I gro-an finding it ha-rd to breath
I clap my hands together then close my eyes” I beg of you, you know why am here, please help me!” I was yelling, trying my best not to scream or roll away from this torment, gasping I tried catching my breath but I couldn’t
The rain of poison and fire stopped, I feel myself thrown into water, I tried swimming upwards but they was no beginning nor was they any end, I couldn’t breath even if I tried to
Closing my eyes I finally give up, maybe am not meant to survive this, maybe am not meant to save anyone. Maybe Zoe isn’t meant to be mine

Am drowning, de-eper into the water, dont know anything, have no idea why am here, have no idea who am I nor do I have any idea why am drowning
Where did this water come from and who throw me into this water, a hand grab mine pulling me up. To a place I had no idea exist, coming out I could finally breath, gasping for air I look at the woman who helped me, she stood there smiling widely, like she knew me

Standing to my feet I look around, flowers and tree everywhere, bu-tterflies flying everywhere and beautiful animals limping around ” who are you??” I asked looking back at the strange woman, she step closer and tuck my hair behind my ear
” the question is, who are you ” she muttered and am left thinking, I have no idea who I am, why this is happening, how I got here and what am doing here ” I dont know ” my voice low ” why?? ” I look at her, seeking answers ” why am I pa-ssing throu-ghthis pain, why am I going throu-ghall these”
” because you’re Zoe dear, the descendant of stars. The only child born out of the god of stars, the only child made to lead the moons into war with the knights ” I shake my head stepping back
” Ares hates descendants, he kill them” it then hit me, where is Ares, why isn’t he with me, is he okay
” you dont have to worry about that Zoe ” I stare at her, she look sad ” you’re dead Zoe” my eyes widen at that ” this is the land of the dead” shaking my head I refuse to believe
” I can’t die, Ares will be all alone, he will be sad” I said shaking my head ” he will be left with only his horrible mother to make him feel bad, he will think killing is the only reason he was born ” holding her hands I beg ” help me, help me go back to him, please help me ”
” a mother will do anything for her child ” tears drop from her eyes, she is my mother? ” you have grown well Zoe, Ares did take care of you, he fulfil a dieing woman wish even after knowing her daughter is a descendant ” she clean my tears then hug me laughing and crying ” at least I get to hold you right, I get to see you ”
” mum??” I muttered, she withdraw from the hug and nod her head ” yes dear, am your mother. Just know I didn’t wish to leave you alone but I was dieing, I was losing life and I choose you to survive ”
Touching her face a tear drop from my eyes ” I have always wish silently to get to meet the women that gave birth to me ” I laughed ” you have red hair too ” we both started laughing
” Ares is a good man Zoe but just know things aren’t close to being over, for him to bring you back to life without Fred blood, he has gone throu-ghhell and is still in hell. More trails are coming, the war you will lead is near” she said “is either you and Ares die in that war or one of you survive and the other die ”
” what are you saying ”
” your fate is in your hands Zoe, always remember, you are a rare breed with rare powers, use it wisely you will save the one you love, use it wrongly you will kill everyone by your side” she kis-s my forehead before pushing me back into the water

Chapter Fifty Four:
Ares
Touching the ground I gasp for air, I look around, am I dead?, where am I, how do I get here, the only thing I remember was drowning, drowning when no water was in sight and now my body is soaked in water
Standing to my feet I look around the whole place, trees everywhere, bu-tterflies and small animals. Looking ahead a castle caught my attention, a very big castle. Fastening my steps I run towards that direction
Stepping in I look around the whole place, people wearing gold pa-ssing by, guards starring at me, they is only one way to go and that is straight to the king. Stopping I stare at him, his face curve in a smile, he stood there shining brightly above all ” Zeus??” I asked starring at him as I take another step forward
My gaze land on a woman by his right hand side also smiling at me ” you did well son” Zeus muttered ” no one has ever love someone the way you do. To even stay in the rain of poison ”
” am I dead??” I asked, they chuckle shaking their head ” my darling here wanted to grant your wish Ares” the woman spoke, her voice like the finest melodies ever heard
” you intrigue me Ares” Zeus muttered ” but a god can’t grant you a wish without taking something in return ” I frown at that, what do he want in return, I have nothing to give ” dont over think it Ares, you dont have anything to give me but I will like your happy ending to delay a bit ” he smile ” making someone else your mate is difficult ”
” what do you mean ” he stare at his woman and she muttered ” he means that your Zoe will have to forget you Ares” I part my li-ps to speak but she beat me to it ” Zoe is Fred mate, we have never done what people request, she will have to forget you, she will have to be given to the descendants, Fred and you will be given an opportunity to make her fall, if you win, you shall mark her and make her yours for life”
Zoe forgetting me?? Waking up I look around, the skull on the ceiling, am in my room? Tears flow from her eyes ” it was painful ” she cried and I clean her tears ” is okay little mouse, you will forget all these. Everything ”
” what are you saying ” I cu-p her face and chuckle trying to lighten the mood ” shut up and kis-s me little mouse ” she nod before connecting our li-ps together, drawing her close I try swallowing the pain in but I couldn’t
She withdraw looking at me with worried eyes ” what’s wrong ” taking off my shirt she cover her mouth, bruises all over my body ” what happened… Why are you in pain ” touching my che-st I felt incredible, all the pains in my body suddenly vanish leaving the scare behind. I stare at her and she look has shock as I am ” am sorry ” she is crying again ” I don’t know what’s happening to me, you hates descendants and I am a descendant. What do we do Ares, please dont hate….” Placing my hands on her li-ps I shut her up
” come” standing up I take off my clothes left with only boxers while she did the same but she stood na-ked, those blus-h I miss appearing on her face ” let’s shower, get some rest and tomorrow we will talk about everything ” tomorrow is the last day you will remember me anyway
Holding her hands we walk inside the bathroom, grab the sponge and soap, ru-b it together before robbing the sponge on her back ” how are you feeling little mouse ”
