CHAPTER 7
? THOMAS ?
I woke up in the morning with a great hu-ge to puke. I rushed to the bathroom and poured out everything in my stomach into the basin.
I rinsed my face and stared at my face inside the mirror. I was looking kinda pale.
“What’s going on?” I asked myself tiredly.
I walked out of the bathroom feeling thirsty. I headed to the living room and I saw Angelica cleaning.
“Thomas.” She called smiling and when she saw my face her contenance changed.
“Thomas are you okay?” She asked rushing to me.
“I don’t feel good.” I said and fell to the ground.
“Thomas!” She yelled in tears, but I couldn’t reply.
“Teddy!! Timmy!!” She yelled while I tried so ha-rd not to shut my heavy eyes.
“Thomas.” I heard Teddy yelled running to me.
“I…. I am.” I whispered and that was all, I lost consciousness.
? ANGELICA ?
I began to weep as I saw Thomas lay life less on the floor.
“Please do something.” I mumbled and in the twinkle of an eye Teddy bent to carry him up.
“Get the car keys.” He said and Timmy ran to get them.
I opened the door and he carried him out of house running to the car. Timmy ran to us and opened up the car door.
He dropped him in the car and rushed to the driver’s seat. Timmy threw the car keys to him and he also hopped in.
I waited at the door not knowing whatever to hop in or not. Teddy ignited the engine and looked back at me.
“Come on.” He says calmly for the very first time. In haste I rushed into the car and we zoomed of with great speed.
“We should call father.” Timmy said fearfully.
“No one is calling anyone. Thomas is fine.” He said driving very rou-gh.
I looked at Thomas who laid close to me with his eyes closed. I moved his head up and placed his head on my thi-ghs.
“You will be alright.” I said with my shaky voice. I could still feel his pulse as I held onto his hand.
The car came to an halt all of a sudden and when I looked up, it was the hospital I saw. We arrived quite early.
Teddy and Timmy jumped down and rushed to the back seat. I opened up and they carried Thomas off the car.
Teddy placed him on his shoulders and rushed to the hospital, while Timmy and I ran behind him.
Timmy looked so scared, and Teddy wasn’t in a good mood either.
He was placed on a stretcher and driven into an emergency unit. I saw Teddy hold his head in frustration.
I really wanted to tell him it will be fine but I was scared.
He turned to look at me and to my greatest surprise he was in tears.
“Teddy.” I called in a shaky voice. I looked at Timmy and I saw he was also down in tears. I guess I nee-d to console both of them.
“Timmy it will be okay.” I said holding his hand and he nodded.
I looked at Teddy’s cold Expression. All I saw was the unending tears that dropped down his face.
“Teddy it will be fine.” I said summoning courage.
“Why must it be Thomas! It shouldn’t be him!” He yelled bursting into more tears.
I rushed to him holding his hand.
“Thomas is going no where Teddy. He is staying here with us.” I said staring into his teary eyes.
“He shouldn’t be the one.” He mumbled and tears rolled down my eyes uncontrollably.
“Please stop crying. You nee-d to be strong for Timmy.” I said also holding Timmy’s hand.
“He is a very nice person. It should be someone else, not him.” Timmy said in tears.
Though I was yet to un-derstand the statement, I knew they were in de-ep sadness and I nee-ded to calm them down.
“Teddy will be fine.” I said holding their hands in mine as they cried.

The doctor came out after some minutes and Teddy and Timmy jumped up to their feet rushing to him.
“Doctor how is he?” Teddy asked in haste.
“He is out of danger, but I nee-d to see your parents as soon as possible.” He said.
“But they are out of the country now.” Timmy said.
“We nee-d their consent as soon as possible.” He said.
“Do everything possible Doctor. They will be here soon.” I said and they all looked at me.
“I will be in my office.” He said walking away.
“Why did you say that? I said no is calling our parents.” Teddy smacked.
“We really don’t have a choice here. Thomas’s life is at stake here, they will surely heed to our call when they hear it’s Thomas.” I said.
“We nee-d to tell them.” Timmy said bringing out his phone.
“Yes.” I replied while Teddy kept mute staring at Timmy as he made the call.

? TEDDY ?
“They are on the way.” Timmy said cleaning his teary face.
I love my brothers so much and when I see them hurt or ill I end up breaking down in tears. Thomas is so gentle, quiet and considerate. I just hope he is fine.
I saw a nurse walk out of the ward where he was rushed in, and I ran to meet her.
“Sorry can we see him?” I asked her.
“Yes you can. But you can’t stay here for long.” She said and I nodded. I waved to Timmy and Angelica to tag along.
We walked in and saw Thomas laying on the bed. Seeing him like that alone caused more tears to flow down my eyes.
“Thomas.” Angelica called running to him. He moved his head to look at her and smiled weakly.
“Hey.” He said tiredly as he smiled looking at Timmy and I.
Timmy walked close to him and held his hand while I stood close to the bed staring into his eyes.
“Don’t tell me you were crying again?” He said smiling.
“I couldn’t take it.” I said cleaning my eyes.
“I thought this crying of a thing won’t happen anymore. The last time you cried was when I was 11.” He said.
“And that was the last time you were rushed into the hospital this way.” I said.
“How do you feel?” Timmy asked smiling.
“I am better. You don’t nee-d to cry, I have always survived this, and I will survive again.” He said Smiling.
“I was so scared.” Angelica said ki-ssing his hand in tears.
“I am sorry for scaring you. I didn’t mean that.” He said and she smiled.
“I am fine now you are okay.” She said smiling.
“Of course I am okay. You should stop crying okay? I am not dead.” He said trying so ha-rd not to cry.
“You said this same thing 9 years ago.” I said smiling.
“Did you tell mother?” He asked fearfully.
“We were for-ced to. The doctor demanded for their presence.” Timmy said and he closed his eyes.
“I didn’t want to disturb their honeymoon.” He said and I nodded.
“That I am sure of, but now your health is at stake. Honeymoon can come later.” I said and he sighed.
“Are you hungry?” Angelica asked.
“Yes please. I emptied my stomach this morning, I am so weak.” He said smiling.
“I will make you soup.” She said and he nodded.
“You will be going home right?” He asked and we all looked at each other.
“I can’t drive, take her Teddy.” Timmy said holding his hands. I looked at her and she stared back at me.
“Can you please take me home?” She asked and for the very first time she looked into my eyes.
“Yes I can.” I replied and she smiled.
“Thanks. We will be back soon.” She said ki-ssing his forehead before leaving.
We both know walked out of the hospital, I was at the front and she followed behind me. I moved to the other side of the car and she moved to the back.
“Seat in front.” I said igniting the engine. She opened the door and hopped in bowing her head.
I zoomed off in great speed, keeping my face straight to the road. I looked at her and I saw she was playing with her fingers.
There was an awkward silece amongst us and I actually liked it.
We drove to the house and I packed the car in the garage.
“How many minutes will it take you?” I asked looking at her.
“Thirty minutes.” She replied running into the house. I thought of staying outside but I knew she would probably nee-d help in the kitchen.
Well I am doing this for Thomas. I walked into the house and I saw her tieing the apron.
“Do you nee-d help?” I asked standing at the door.
“Not really, thanks.” She says smiling at me. I walked in to the fridge to get water for myself, I was damn thirsty.
“I am sorry about all this.” She said as I gulped down the water.
“About what?” I asked.
“Thomas.” She said and I sighed.
“You shouldn’t be. It’s none of your fault.” I said.
“You must really love him.” She said and I nodded.
“Yes.” I said nodding.
“He will be perfectly fine.” She said and I looked away.
“Thanks.” I said walking to the living room.
I sat on the couch resting my head on the head rest. I was feeling so weak, and I nee-ded to rest.
I shut my eyes to take a little rest,and before I knew it I slept off.
? ANGELICA ?
….. AFTER THIRTY MINUTES…..
I packed the soup into a bowl and moved out of the kitchen. I got to the living room and I saw Teddy fast asleep.
I stared at him not knowing what to do. What if I wake him up and he flares up.
I moved closer to him and I took a clearer look at his face. He had a small nose and a small li-ps which were quite pink.
I kept staring at him, then I remembered Thomas is waiting for us to bring the soup.
“Teddy.” I whispered with my face close to his. He shut his eyes ti-ght and released it again.
“Teddy.” I tapped him this time and he opened his eyes slowly. His blue eyes pierced right into mine.
“I am done.” I said looking away.
“Sorry I slept off.” He said ru-b-bing his eyes before standing up.
“It’s okay.” I said and he nodded heading outside.
I followed behind him carrying the soup in my hand.
