“Melody how are you feeling today? Sorry I couldn’t make it yesterday, I was for-ced to visit a family friend” Jasmine explained as she visited me at the hospital.
“You must have felt suffocated sitting in the mist of old folks but I’m pretty sure Ann went with you guys right” I sighed looking at the door.
“Ann went with us but it was like she was never there. She’s always so reserved, sometimes I begin to reason if Ann and I actually c@m£ out from same wo-mb. How can she be so cold and quiet” She lamented and I grinned.
“At least you have someone who share same parents with you, times will come when your parents have to listen to you” I sighed tiredly and Jasmine noticed.
“Melody is something wrong, you’ve been sighing” She asked curiously.
“Did you get a call from Legend” I asked staring at her.
“Not really, you know Legend isn’t the type who calls without a reason but why are you asking? Is everything okay” She asked concerned and I nodded my head.
“Everything’s fine. Legend didn’t visit me yesterday like he said that’s why I’m asking, I’m worried. I tried calling him but he wasn’t taking his calls” I g-asped worriedly and Jasmine chuckled.
“Do you really have to make it that obvious that you have feelings for Legend” She tea-sed and I rolled my eyes.

“Oh no, I hope Legend didn’t actually held to my words” I muttered out as I had a flashback on what I said to Legend.
“Don’t worry about that, I’m here alre-ady” Legend said as he crack the door open and my heart fluttered.
“Best timing Legend, Melody was just talking about you” Jasmine chuckled and I blu-shed.
“I was busy with something so I couldn’t visit yesterday. How are you feeling today Melody? Does it still hurt” He asked curiously as he placed the fruit of basket on the table.
“Emm… I will give the both of you some space. Melody I will call you when I get home, take care okay. Bye Legend” Jasmine said as she stood up.
“Bye” Legend uttered.
“Alright, bye” I replied and she went out.
“You told me you had some family issues to take care of, has it been resolved” I asked concerned and he sm-irked.
“Why are you smiling” I asked confused.
“It’s nothing really, I just felt like smiling at the moment. Melody what are your plans for Christmas” He asked curiously.
“Em… About that Legend, I wanted to tell you about it” I hesitated and he stared at me curiously.
“Did something happen?” He asked curiously.
“I will be celebr@ting the Christmas and New Year in my grandma’s place” I uttered slowly.
“Looks like this Christmas is going to be a busy one. Everyone got plans” He smiled.
“But why did you ask” I g-asped.
“I just felt like asking and now..” Legend couldn’t complete his statement when Mum and Dad walked into the room without knocking.
“Hey you loser, what are you doing here? Melody I warned you to stay away from losers like this” Mum barked referring to Legend.
“Mum what do you want” I muttered out feeling so embarr@$$ed.
“Melody, I will call you. I think I have to leave now” Legend whispered and head for the door but dad gr@bb£d his hand.
“What do you want from my daughter? Why are the both of you alone here” Dad asked seriously.
“Melody and I are cl@$$mates and I c@m£ to visit her. Is there anything wrong with that? The both of us are alone because the nurses or doctors can’t possibly be standing guard for a patient who only broke her arm. Excuse me” Legend said coldly and went out.
“Mum, Dad, why do you keep embarr@$$ing yourselves in front of my friends. What’s so difficult about being polite? Everyone’s nothing like you so stop embarr@$$ing my friends and tell me exactly what brou-ght you here” I asked seriously and Dad sat next to me.
“Melody your Mum told me, you will be be celebr@ting your Christmas and New Year with your grandma” Dad inquired softly.
“Yes, I said that. I’m tired of celebr@ting my Christmas alone, feel at ease and work till whenever you feel like coming home. Nob©dy would be at home waiting so relax” I shrugged and Mum held my hand.
“Melody I resigned, I resigned from my job” Mum g-asped and I stared at her.
“I requested for a leave so we can spend our Christmas together as one family” Dad said smiling and I stood up from my be-d.
“I really don’t care anymore, when I nee-ded that no one listened to me. Mum I think you made the wrong decision by resigning, that was your dream job. You don’t have to resign from your job to mend things with me, what I nee-d is something the both of you don’t seem to un-derstand” I said coldly and walked out of the room.
“Melody” Dad called but I ignored him.
“The both of you still don’t get it, celebr@ting Christmas together is the only thing I want” I murmured and walked throu-gh the lobby.
LEGEND POV
I went back home and saw a gray beautiful car, parked in our parking lot.
Do we have visitors? I g-asped in my head.
“I’m really sick of having guests” I hissed and went in with a frown on my face.
“Bro how do I look” Kaiden asked as he c@m£ out of his room putting on a very nice suit.
“The suit looks great on you but what’s going on exactly, I saw a car at the parking lot but there’s no guest” I uttered curiously and he smiled.
“Mr Adams brou-ght the car for the both of us and right now we’re heading to his estate to get publicized” He said smiling and Mum c@m£ out of her room with a nice suit on her hand.
“Mum aren’t you coming along? Why are you not dressed yet and why do we nee-d to get publicized” I asked curiously.
“Adams is a public figure and you nee-d to be known by the public that you’re both his legitimate sons and that’s the only way we can get his shares without being questioned” Mum explained.
“Mum this doesn’t feel right, do we really nee-d to do all this? We’ve been living fine without him, giving us his shares and ex-posing us to the public is really oppressing. Is he trying to br@g with us or what” I muttered out seriously.
“Legend you’re over thinking things. Just let things flow, it’s not like we begged him to give us his shares. He’s doing it willingly” Mum affirmed.
“This feels like one of my strange nightmares. Mum you know publicity isn’t my thing. I don’t like being noticed, doing that only make people look into your flaws. Mum how do you expect me to face my cl@$$mates with all the ridiculous questions the students will throw at me. This is a great opportunity for Kaiden because he has always dreamed of being a public figure but not for me Mum” I complained and she gave me a hu-g.
“Legend this will only take some minutes and we will be out of there. We nee-d to show that mistress her place, she and her kids snatched everything from us. We will make use of this opportunity and show Mr Adams and his mistress their place” Kaiden sm-irked and Mum sm-irked as well.
“What do you mean Kaiden? Is there something you’re not telling me” I asked confused.
“Why do you think Mum wants us to go public” He asked with a malicious smile.
“I have no idea but why’s that Mum” I asked curiously.
“Adams is such a selfish man. He thinks he can buy us with his money after cheating on me with that mistress of his, my forgiveness can’t be bought with money. He’s so delusional” Mum scoffed.
“He’s only publicizing us because he’s going to benefit from it. A cheat will always remain one” Kaiden said seriously.
“I knew something was fishy about his sudden visit. Anyways now we’re all clear about his true intentions, let’s go get everything busted” I said with a silly smile.
“Go change into this” Mum cut in handing me the suit on her hand.
“You have to make it quic-k. The reporters must have arrived alre-ady” Kaiden added and I nodded.
“I will be right back” I said and ran into my room.
I wore the suit and it fits perfectly, I combe-d my hair ma-king it look so professional.
“How do we look Mum” Kaiden and I asked as we stood next to each other.
“My sons are so handsome” Mum grinned from ear to ear.
“Let’s go Legend” Kaiden smiled and we left for the new car.
It’s going to be busted. I g-asped in my head and smiled.

Kaiden and Legend got to Adams estate. The reporters crowded the entrance.
“Wow, Mr Adams is living inside wealth. His estate looks beautiful” Kaiden g-asped as they drove into the estate.
“Having a rich dad is always the problem” Legend whined and rolled his eyes.
It’s no different from my dream, a silver Dad. Legend muttered in his mind seriously.
“Who’s that dude waving” Legend asked as a guy in a black suit waved at them.
“He looks like a b©dyguard. I think we would be getting down here” Kaiden mentioned and Legend’s heartbeat skipped.
“Phew…. You can do this Legend” Legend summoned courage and they got down from the car, some guards walked to them.
“Mr Kaiden, Mr Legend plea-se follow me. I will lead the way” The guard said politely and Kaiden glared at him.
“Don’t you know the basics of this job? You don’t expect us to just follow you without telling us who you are or who you’re working for? That’s the basics of this job” Kaiden said in a professional tone and Legend smiled.
Wow now he sounds like a son of a billionaire. Legend thought obviously impressed.
“I’m sorry sir. My name’s Dan, my team and I would be guarding you for today. plea-se come with me, Mr Adams doesn’t want you to be crowded by the reporters” The guard said and Kaiden nodded.
“Let’s get going” Kaiden uttered and they went into the mansion using the second door.
“Kaiden do you think we would be save” Legend whispered.
“Mum wouldn’t s-end us here alone if our lives would be put in danger” Kaiden g-asped and Legend nodded.
They walked into the mighty guest room and found their step siblings, Carl and Carlos seated on a sofa.
“Mr Kaiden, Mr Legend meet your siblings Mr Carl and Mr Carlos” The guard introduced.
“What p@rt of earth did they fall out from” Carlos sneered as they stood up.
“We should be asking that same question? What p@rt of earth did you fall out from. Nice to meet you, My name’s Kaiden” Kaiden introduced rudely.
“My name’s Legend” Legend said coldly.
“You didn’t have to introduce yourselves again, the guard did that alre-ady” Carl said seriously.
Why are they both answering same name? Are they twins. Legend g-asped in his head.
“He just said our names, he didn’t identify who was who. It’s our first meeting and you’re sounding rude alre-ady, don’t you think there should be a little bit of respect in your tones. As you can see Legend and I are older than you, it doesn’t matter if it’s just months difference” Kaiden said seriously.
“You’re not possibly expecting us to become friends right? If you start thinking that way then I’m sorry you stepped in the wrong foot” Carl sneered.
“You’re only here to sponge off what you never worked for, everyone knows that” Carlos scoffed and Legend ti-ght£ñed his fist.
“It doesn’t sound like you worked for it either. You think so highly of yourselves for thinking that we would want to be friends with you. No one wants to be friends with a mistress’s son” Legend mocked and Carl made to give Legend a punch but the guards stopped him.
“How dare you refer to my mother as a mistress” Carlos yelled and Kaiden chuckled.
“Does it hurt? Then blame yourselves for not being born first. Dan where are we heading? I’m pretty sure you didn’t lead us all the way here to come sit with this little br@ts” Kaiden said seriously.
“This way plea-se” Dan instructed.
“Let’s go Legend” Kaiden added and they walked away.
“I can’t believe those low lives humiliated us in front of the guards” Carlos shouted angrily.
“They’re in our estate so nothing’s going their way” Carl sm-irked.

“Sons thank you so much for coming” Adams said with a smile as they went into his sitting room.
“We’re not doing this for you. We’re doing it because of Mum so don’t misun-derstand us” Legend corrected sarcastically.
“Where are the reporters” Kaiden asked seriously and Adams’s mistress walked in.
“C@$$ie where are Carl and Carlos” Adams asked curiously.
“They’re probably fixing themselves. Bringing strangers into the house all of a sudden might have frightened them” C@$$ie sneered staring at Kaiden and Legend in grimace.
“That sounds funny, if they got frightened seeing pretty faces like ours then it’s a pity because I don’t see pretty faces around so they’ve gotten used to it” Kaiden said calmly obviously belittling C@$$ie.
br@t! C@$$ie cursed in her head glaring at Kaiden.
“Where’s your mother? I can’t see her around” C@$$ie asked curiously.
“Cindy won’t be coming, she got some work to take care of at the office” Adams cut in and she sm-irked.
“That sounds more like her, running away before achieving anything. What company does she work for and what’s her position? Is she a janitor or a security guard” C@$$ie chuckled.
“Stop it C@$$ie” Adams warned seriously.
“What? It’s not like Cindy don’t go for such positions” She grinned and Legend glared at her.
She’s such a bit-ch. I can’t believe Mr Adams went for someone like that over Mum. I g-asped in his head with a hiss.
“Don’t worry, mum’s working in a very hu-ge company and she’s a chief director not a janitor. I don’t see anything wrong with been a janitor as long as she doesn’t sponge off her husband, unlike some people who live all their lives sponging off their husband” Legend cut in seriously as he couldn’t take the insult and C@$$ie ti-ght£ñed her fist.
“Oh I see” C@$$ie stuttered putting on a smile, holding in her anger.
“Dan go get the reporters re-ady, we would hear downstairs in a minute” Adams instructed and he left.
The door bell rang.
“Come in” Adams uttered and Axel walked in with his b©dyguards and Legend’s jaw dropped.
“Axel sweetie, how are you doing” C@$$ie asked softly as she tried being to-uchy with Axel but he moved away.
“I’m fine thank you” He said politely without even giving her a glance.
“Axel what a perfect timing. Meet my two sons Kaiden and Legend” Adams introduced with a smile and Axel lost his voice for a moment as he stared at Legend.
“Legend what are you….” Axel stuttered and Legend stood up.
“Mr Adams happened to be my dad and you, what are you doing here? I thought you traveled” Legend asked excitedly.
“Yeah, I did. I got into the country few hours ago” Axel replied smiling with his heartbeat racing.
“You both know each other” Adams asked curiously.
“Yeah, Legend’s my childhood friend” Axel answered and C@$$ie’s eyes wi-de-ned.
“Childhood what? Axel how did you end up being friends with a low cl@$$ like him” C@$$ie asked deluded.
“What do you mean low cl@$$? They’re low cl@$$ but they ended up being your husband’s legitimate sons” Axel shrugged and C@$$ie swallowed ha-rd.
“Axel can we..” Adams said but Axel cut in.
“Mr Adams can you give me a minute, I should have a little catch up with Legend” Axel asked with a smile and Adams nodded.
“Let’s go Legend” Axel g-asped and they went out.
“I will go gr-ab myself a gl@$$ of drink” Kaiden said and stood up.
“You can get yourself a gl@$$ behind at the wine bar” Adams added and Kaiden rolled his eyes.
“You’re an adult so why can’t you notice I’m trying to give you two some space. I will be right back” Kaiden shrugged and walked out.

“Melody you nee-d to watch this” Jasmine said swiftly as she ran into Melody’s room then turned on the TV.
“What’s going on” Melody asked curiously.

“This looks more like a live show” I uttered in shock.
“I can’t believe Mr Adams’s invisible sons are Kaiden and Legend. Their father is a multimillionaire, life can be so funny” Jasmine said grinning with her full concentration on the TV.
