” Mom Eli doesn’t want to let me sleep he’s being rude ” Kara complained as she glared at her elder brother who stood with an apron around his wai-st.
” Well sorry I disturbe-d your beautiful sleep k but you’re late for school” he said ruffling her hair .
” Mommy ” she whinned .
” Elias stop making her mad ” Susan Dela questa said as she smiled at her eldest son and one of her triplets .
” Mommy Kara is just being a cry baby ” mara the second of the triplet said with a chuckle as she munched her breakfast .
” Cry baby Kara ” the last Sara said as she squiled happily .
” You’re all late for school ,I won’t remind you again ” Elias said with a chuckle .
” Go get your bags princesses you’re late for school ” Susan said again as she smiled at her kids .
” Bye mummy ” they ran over to where she was sitted on her wheelchair and ki-ssed her lovingly .
” Bye Elias ” they ki-ssed him before dashing outta the house .
” I’d just go get re-ady ,I’m alre-ady late for work at the bakery mother I just pray Mr blueberry doesn’t get angry ” he said .
She watched her son go upstairs and sighed sadly .
Life hadn’t been easy for them especially since her accident 7 years ago .
Tears rolled down her eyes as she remembered how ha-rd life had been for them .
They used to be happy , everything was perfect she’d married the love of her life Alfredo Dela questa and they had a son Elias .
But after twelve good years things changed .Alfredo wanted to get rich quickly , he started getting greedy for wealth , saying he wanted to give them a rich and comfortable life .
He’d stay late nights at work and nights turned to days then weeks .
She still remembered the fateful night like it was yesterday .
★Flashback past ★
” Fredo don’t do this to us …please Fredo …” She cried as he packed his clothes dumping them into his traveling bag .
Twelve years old Elias cried bitterly with his mom as his father zi-pped up the bag .
The triplets crawld on the floor as they cried due to the noise .
” Fredo …Fredo ” she cried going behind him .
” I’m tired of you Susan , stop acting cheap , I’m tired of living in this slumps .
I’m tired of poverty …. Selestina has promised to give me a good life ….this is a life time opportunity to be rich …I can’t dump it because of you .
I love my kids , but I just can’t stay ” Fredo said and Susan stared at him in shock as her heart broke .
” Fredo you’re living us for your boss ? You’ve been having an affair ? How could you Fredo ? She asked crying bitterly as her heart broke in pieces .
” Susan move on in life , the divorce papers are in the sitting room outside , I’ve signed them please do I’d be coming back for them ” he said and as he stormed out .
” Alfredo ”
” Daddy ” Elias cried as he ran after his father .
Alfredo turned sadly as he crossed the road .
Got into a cab ,Elias stood at the opposite crying for his dad as he drove off .

Susan wiped her tears as they rolled out of her eyes .
Thinking so much about her failed marriage was one of the reasons she’d gotten into that terrible accident , what hurt more was the fact that Alfredo had come to the hospital to finally get her signature on the divorce papers after she’d ba-rely recovered .
Life had dealt with her severely , she’d never gotten the money to get a surgery done , she knew her son Eli was having plans towards it but she felt bad for the boy .
When his mates where pla-ying video games and having their best teenage years , he’d taking responsibility of a sick mother and three siblings .
Working and struggling to meet ends meet , the boy had struggled his way throu-ghhighschool , although sad she knew her poor son had no plans for college .
If only she’s been strong for her kids ?
If only Alfredo never left , if not for the broken relationship.
Life hadn’t been fair to them .
” Mom I’ve dropped your lunch on the table ” she heard Elias’s voices and immediately wiped her tears .
” Sure son ” she said as he bent ki-ssed her cheeks and ran off .

” Boom I got you ” Elias said as he laughed at his bestfriend Jessa .
” Hey Mr softie don’t pla-y such jokes on me ,I’d hit your head with this bowl ” Jessa said and he burst out laughing as he threw his hands around her shoulders .
” Good morning guys ” he greeted the workers in the bakery .
” Good morning Mr handsome” one of the guys waved making him chuckle .
” Good morning lover boy ” madam D one of the women said and he chuckled .
So what if he hadn’t gotten to college like he always wanted ?
What if life hadn’t been fair to him ?
He was gonna face whatever life threw at him with his head high ,he thought with a smile .
” Eli ” his best friend Jessa called in frustration and he laughed .

” Get your eggs on affordable price ” Nicole screamed as the sun burned her skin .
she cleaned her face with her towel .
” Madam please buy eggs on affordable price ” she pointed at their shade which was just a big umbrella and had eggs on the table where Katleah sat waiting for customers .
” Let go of me stupid girl ” the lady cursed and walked away in attitude .
Oh God ?
If she didn’t finish selling those eggs , she didn’t nee-d a prophet to tell her what her step mother would do to her .
” Sir please buy eggs at affordable price ” she said to a man p@$$ing by and he followed her to her stand .

” Sir this is the land , I’ve told the government officials to clear the place ” his @$$istant said and he stared at the place in disgust .
They really had lots of work to do , especially removing every smell of the commoners that lingered in the area .
How could people survive to even sit comfortable and sell goods in such a place .
He wondered as his @$$istant held the umbrella properly , his eyes wondered around the site .
He was definitely gonna restructure the whole place and build another br@nch of his business .
” Tell the government officials to make sure they’re all out of here today and this place is in other before tommorow ” Vincenzo morreti said as he wore his shades .
” But sir ….” His @$$istant tried pleading with him to give them some time .
” It’s nothing ” he muttered immediately when Vincenzo turned .
” Hello ” he called the government team .
★ some minutes later ★
” What ?
” We should leave ? Nicole asked in shock and Katleah mirrored her expression .
” Sir you can’t do this to us , you didn’t even give us time to prepare ourselves ,you can’t just wake up one morning and ruin our lives like this ” Nicole said in frustration .
The government worker stared at her from head to toes , faded loose shirt , a gean that didn’t even fit her properly and tied with a rope .
He stared at her poor damaged sl-ippers which weren’t even sewed properly and smi-rked .
” Well madam this place has been bought , and if you don’t get your junks out of here , you see that bulldozer over there ? He asked pointing at the machine .
” We’d run them over your eggs ” he said and walked infront .

?️Where do I start from ? The market women cried in groups as they tried to pack their things .
” This is unacceptable ” Nicole said as she watched the bulldozer ruin the shops .
“I nee-d to talk to the engineer or at least the person that bought the place ,they should at least give us a week or three days to vacate ” Nicole said .
” Nikki no let’s just pack ” katleah said trying to pull her sister who didn’t budge .
” Madam you’re back again ? I’ve told you before right ? The man asked angrily .
Vincenzo morreti watched with his eyes as the dirty looking girl talked to his workers .
” Who is she ?
Why was she interrupted with his work ?
” Sir she’s one of the market sellers, she’s asking for time to vacate ….” His @$$istant said explaining .
” Mr Ortega ” he said on his Bluetooth .
” Yes sir ” the man talking to Nicole said immediately as he turned to Vincenzo .
” I want you to start with that lady’s shop ” he said .
” Yes sir , of cause ” the man nodded .
” Nicole ” Kat cried out as another of the bulldozers climbe-d into their shop and untop their eggs .
Nicole stared wi-de-eyed and frozen as zeta’s precious eggs spoiled to the ground .
Oh no
What would she tell zeta
How would she pay ?
” How could you do that to us ‘” she cried as she immediately clutched the mans collar eyes bloodshot .
” Nicole stop it ” Katleah screamed as she tried to stop her sister from further attacking the man .
” You stupid girl ,we got orders from out boss to run over your shop first since you’ve refused to mind your business ” the man said and before she could attack him again , security had got her .
” Go tell that boss of yours that he’s an heartless monster ” Nicole cried as they pull her .
She swore un-der her breath not to let this go just like that , she was gonna find out whoever the boss was and make him pay for putting her in zeta’s wrath .
How could anyone be so inse-nsitive and mean ?

” ???????” The phone rang on the be-dside table for the 5th time and Gilbert morreti frowned as he raised his phone to check on who was calling .
God ?
It was his father .
He wondered what plea-sure the old man derived in bothering his life .
He atleast gave his children space , Vincenzo Marco Manuel and of cause his princess Lenora .
‘ hello father ” he picked up and he could feel Tonia stare from her side of the be-d where she sle-pt .
She has been his flavour for more than 3 years now , very beautiful intelligent and smart .
” The dinner would start at 8 Gilberto ‘ his father said and he Frowned.
” I’ve heard you father ” he sighed as he felt Tonia ki-ss her way around his b©dy .
” I have to leave ” he said ru-b-bing his forehead .
” Why ? Running back to your wife ? Tonia frowned folding her arms .
” Of cause not ,I’m not going back to Fernanda , we have a family dinner ‘ he said immediately .
” I’d like to join you ” she smi-rked .
” You can’t possibly join me bambina ,it will cause a problem ” he said his thick Italian accent showing .
” Are you ashamed of me ? She asked in her blackmailing emotional voice .
” fine Tonia , but stay away from Marco you know how hotheaded he acts ,he’s not someone you should be messing with ” Gilbert advised as he walked into the bathroom .
Tonia smi-rked as she sat on the be-d bitting her l-ips .

She had the ruthless Gilberto un-der her toes .
As for Vincenzo the devil, he pretends he had no idea she existed or not .
Lenora and Manuel gives her space wwhen she comes in with her father .
Come to think of it ,it wasn’t like she was the cause of their ruined disfunctional family , Gilbert was a cheat even before she became his mistress .
As for his wife Fernanda all the broken woman cared about was drinking her self to stupor ?
Well she didn’t care ,the sooner she died the better .
What scared her was Marco morreti .
The middle son .
His calm calculative and Mysterious nature .
Marco was a rebel ,she’d been fascinated with the morreti ,but the last encounter where he’d gra-bbe-d her ne-ck and nearly choked life out of her .
That taught her that Marco was 5 steps ahead in the game .
The nights dinner was surely gonna be filled with lots of drama .
