(The unthinkable)ā
Lola watched as Myles ran to hug the woman and heard him calling her Anita.
Lola recalled where she heard that name and it dawned on her that the woman was Summer’s mother.
Lola didn’t understand how she felt inside but she was hurt and shocked. She thought this woman was dead but now she had suddenly resurfaced. Lola clenched her fist a while gazing at them, hugging.
She felt this pang in her chest.
Meanwhile, Myles was still awestruck but he couldn’t deny the fact that he was more happy than shocked. He was smiling so broadly and actually crying on her shoulder.
In fact both of them were shedding tears. Anita missed him so much, they’ve been apart for so many years and this moment had been long awaited.
“I missed you so much, a day didn’t go by without me thinking about you” Anita sobbed and wrapped her fragile hands tightly around him.
Myles would have said the same but since Lola walked into his life and they had their first kiss. Anita became the last thing on Myles’ mind like she only existed in the past.
“I thought you were dead and I am so sorry for leaving you there, I didn’t do it on purpose;Iā¦I wanted to save our daughter” Myles muttered in tears.
Lola couldn’t stand the emotional scene for another second, she walked away without looking back.

Slave’s quarters>
Lola went to Allison’s room which she shared with other roommates. After knocking the door for a while, Allison opened it and stared at Lola.
Allison didn’t know what to feel, should she feel hatred for the woman her mate was in love with? Or should she hug her friend?.
“Allison” Lola pursed her lips.
“Lola” Allison smiled and pulled her into a hug. āI have missed youā
āMe too, bestieā Lola said with a happy-sad smile on her lips.
They parted the hug and Allison stepped out of the room and locked the door. They strode further away from the room and spoke.
“What’s wrong?, I am sure that you are here for somethingā Allison chuckled and squatted.
Lola squatted close to the wall and replied. āMyles’ first girlfriend, I mean the mother of Summer is back”
“What!” Allison exclaimed.
“Don’t yell so much” Lola rolled her eyes at her.
“Sorry” Allison apologised, she was shocked by the news. āHow do you feel?ā
“I should feel relieved that I am going to be free at last but the reverse is the case. I detest the fact that she’s back” Lola said with a glint of jealousy in her eyes.
Allison scrutinised her under her gaze before speaking. āIs it my imagination or do you love the Master?ā
Lola retorted. āAbsolutely not!ā
“It must be your insane imagination, get your mind outta the gutter” Lola glared at her.
Allison chuckled because of her facial expression, there was no way that would ever hate Lola.
“I can never love Myles,ā Lola said with false firmness.

Anita was taken to Myles’ room and the doctor was called to check up on her. She was weak and malnourished but would recover soon with time,good food and medication.
Myles sat beside Anita who was still conscious, he stared at her face and she hadn’t lost her beauty, despite the bruises on her face.
He wondered the awful things she had been through for her to have so many scars and fresh bruises on her body.
His heart ached while staring at her.
“C-Can I see h-her?”
Myles shook his head, he had to explain things to Summer first.
“Not now but I will show you a picture of her, our baby is a big girl” Myles smiled and brought out his phone.
He showed her pictures of summer and Anita was amazed, how much her daughter had grown into this beautiful and adorable person. Anita was also stunned by Myles’ house.
Though eighteen years had passed, she didn’t expect him to earn this much but she was glad about it.
“She’s so beautiful” Anita muttered with her eyes moist with tears.
“Yes, just like you,” Myles said, smiling.
He had changed as well, the beard and more mature look, he was lean when they were younger but now he was more muscular and handsome.
Anita raised up her hand and placed it on his face.
“You are hā¦handsome,Isaiah” Anita giggled and her eyes slowly closed.
Myles smiled and covered her with the blanket.
“Sleep tight”

Myles returned to his room and met Lola seated on the bed, she raised her gaze and saw him but ignored his presence.
Myles sighed and walked to the bed, he removed his clothes and took a shower then went to bed wearing his pyjamas.
“Are you okay?” Myles asked, even when he knew it was a really stupid question to ask.
“I don’t know, yourā¦girlfriend or whatever has returned and I don’t know how to feel about it” Lola said and shrugged.
Myles held her chin and turned her face to his.
“Nothing has changed between us”
Lola stared into his lovely blue eyes to see a bit of insincerity but there was none.
āI believe youā Lola replied and pressed her lips against his.
Myles reciprocated and curled his hands around her, they began cuddling.
Myles knew he couldn’t sleep without taking his drugs, so he wanted to think about a lot of things within that period of time.
However, he was confused about whom to think of; Lola or Anita.

Ballard high school> three days later.
Summer had met Anita but she wasn’t so excited like she thought she would feel, if she ever met her mother.
Summer avoided any minute with Anita and rushed to school, in order to see Jake. She was worried about him, he neither called or came to her house.
Summer rushed down the hallway, searching for Jake.
“Mate” Summer heard and turned to him.
“Jake” Summer uttered and hugged him, they embraced each other for minutes.
“Are you hurt anywhere?I was so scared,” Summer said worriedly and ran her hands on his body.
“I’m fine, Sunflower” Jake smiled and pulled her aside.
“How are you?Did your dad do anything crazy to you?”
āNo, I’m good ”
Jake heaved a sigh of relief and kissed her lips.
” Why did you never call or reply to my texts or calls? “Summer queried.
āI didn’t want to get you into trouble, Sunflower”
Summer didn’t know when he started calling her that but she loved the nickname.
“I love you, don’t scare me like that again” Summer said, shocking Jake who wasn’t expecting her conversation so soon..
“I feel the same way, I love you”
Molly gazed at them from a distance, she had to find a way to speak to Jake. He had been avoiding her physically but at times, he would text her about her welfare. That gave her some hope but she had something better for him, she had finally found the person who might have murdered his father.
This certain person seemed to have such a connection with his beloved Mate. Molly adjusted her glasses and curved her lips into a smirk.

Hunt’s mansion> 8pm.
All of them were having dinner including Hennessy who was allowed to join the table.
Anita had been staring strangely at Lola who she discovered was Myles’ supposed fiancĆ©e but Hennessy had assured her that it was fake. Anita still felt threatened by her, she finally had her Isaiah back and no one would snatch him away from her.
Anita, who was seated by Myles, suddenly leaned closer to him. She picked a piece of chicken with her fork and placed close Myles’ lips as he faced her.
“Taste this part”
Myles ate it and smiled.
Summer rolled her eyes at the gesture, why didn’t she like her own mother? she couldn’t understand.
“Delicious right?” Anita asked did the unthinkable.
She suddenly slammed her lips against Myles’ lips.
All eyes widened including Myles’.
