” What are you scared if Frederico….you know what to do and I’d forget the fact that you married your ex” she said smiling .
” Let’s just have some fun ” she trailed whilst playing with my bu-ttons and I pushed her off me .
” I’m never gonna marry you Veronica ….I don’t care what you do or how you do it , just fu-cking stay away from me ” I snapped angrily then Matched out of the club angrily.
I got into my Car and drove out .
What do I do ? How do I tell Aria that I fu-cked the daughter of the man that killed her brother .
At the time I slept with Veronica …I had no idea I still had chances with Aria ….hell , what scares me is the fact she’s gonna be so mad at me ….
This would be the second time I’d be breaking her heart…..
I took a de-eper breath in and out …what do I do ?

My phone rang and it was kristov .
” Hey man ” I said trying to hide the tension in my voice .
” Hey Bro heard you’re back from your honeymoon , I decided to check up on you since I won’t be coming home tonight ,I have a surgery scheduled tonight ” he said and I smiled .
” Oh ya I’m ….back ” I said and he fell silent at the other end.
” Rico are you okay you sound disturbed .
” I’m fine Kris you worry too much I’d see you tommorow morning ” I said and hung up .
I knew telling kristov would get the guy all worked up . Kris is the most caring out it all of us …he’s younger than all of us but he likes to act like the older brother .
While we all care about him since he has the softest heart . He’s basically the wisest too .
But he’s a sen-sitive person …that explains why he doesn’t like to get his hands dirty .
But he’s dangerous .
Mom calls him a silent danger .
Whilst driving into the estate , I started spinning the lies I’d tell my wife mentally .
What if she asks where I’m coming from ? It’s way pa-ssed my office time .
And she knows because she’s worked for me before .
I arrived at home and the dinner table had already been cleaned , meaning they’d already had dinner .
I checked the time on my watch and sighed softly .
I strolled upstairs sluggishly and decided to check up on Aria .
I got to our room and everywhere was Quiet and our stuffs where neatly arranged .
” Aria ” I called and she wasn’t Responding .
I decided to take a shower instead and when I walked out of the bathroom and still saw no sign of her ,I wore my room sli-ppers and headed towards Red’s room .
” My love ” I said and she turned .
She had Red’s bedtime story on her lap …while stro-king his hair .
Red was already asleep .
” You’re back ” she said and I smiled.
” I’m sorry I’m late ” i said immediately .
She didn’t say anything just covered Red with the Duvet and walked pa-ssed me .
” Ari I’m sorry ” I said and she walked into our room .
She tried to walk pa-ssed me and I pulled her into my arms .
” I’m sorry ,I know I should have called you up that I would be coming home late …” I pleaded .
” Fred do you have any idea how worried I was about you ? I had no idea where you were …I even asked Emelio to call you up …you weren’t picking your calls …” She said frowning .
” I had something important to take care of ” I said and she looked into my eyes .
” I know when you’re lieing to me Frederico ,I’ve noticed you haven’t been yourself lately …what’s going on ? Are you in some kind of trouble ? What’s wrong !” She asked and I opened my mouth to say something but couldn’t.
” I’m fine it’s work related baby …,have you eaten ? I asked and she smiled .
” Nope ….I’m used to having you eat with me …so I was waiting for you ” she said as she kis-sed my li-ps softly and I smiled.
” You know I’m a Caring wife ” she said as she led me towards the garden and i chuckled.
” Oh ….my wife material ” I teased and she laughed.
”Wow” I said and she chuckled .
” You like it ? She asked
” Like ? I love it Lily ” I said and sat down as she uncovered my favorite meal and a bottle of our favorite wine .
” This is Delicious ” I said as I ate and she chuckled as she joined me .
We talked about random topics for a while and I noticed she looked like she wanted to say something but was holding it back .
” Love are you okay ? I asked and she gave a nod.
” I’m fine ” she said and I held her hand.
” What’s wrong ? I asked again.
” Frederico I want to work ….” She said and I chuckled.
” Is that why you’re sad ? C’mon I told you your free to work at any of our companies….” I trailed.
” Not in your company Frederico …I actually applied somewhere and they….” She trailed.
” You can’t work outside the mafia ” I said immediately and she stared at me .

” End of discussion ” I said and she stared at me in shock .
” Fred this is unfair ….” She said voice shaking at the edge and I stood up .
” End of discussion Ari and I’d really appreciate it if we don’t talk about this issue again …” I said and left the Dinner table .
Immediately I got to our room ,I realized that my outburst was really uncalled for .
I shouldn’t have let my anger get the better of me . I sat on the bed and she didn’t come back inside .
I waited and i didn’t hear from her ,I walked back to the garden and her her crying softly .
” Arianna ” I called and she just cried bitterly .
” Ari …” I called and she stood up and walked into our room .
” Oh c’mon ” I groa-ned frustratedly .
She got into the bed and I joined her .
” Aria ..I’m sorry I’m sorry okay’ I said and she ignored me .
” Babe ‘ I called and she pretended like I wasn’t even in the room .
“Look I know I shouldn’t have ….” I trailed .
” Let me sleep Frederico” she cut me short and my jaws dropped .
” Oh goodness ” ….
Throu-ghout the night I couldn’t sleep ,I hated fighting with her .
The next morning when I woke up she was in the room .
I stared at the bed and everything I needed for the office was already prepared on the bed .
My coffee and Cookies on the table .
She Walked pa-ssed me and I noticed that she was clad in formal wears .
” Aria ….what are you wearing ? I asked as she walked over to huge dressing mirror to tie her into a pony .
” Clothes” she said like it was nothing.
Wait was she purposely getting on my Nerves ? I lic-ked my lower li-p .
” Babe we talked about this , you’re definitely not working in that company …” I said and she looked at me.
” You’re not my father Frederico ,I can’t bear this , I tried to make you see reasons with me but clearly you don’t like the respect I’m giving to you ” she said and I could see just how hurt she was after last night .
” Why can’t you try to un-derstand me Aria why can’t you for once un-derstand that Working outside the mafia would be too dangerous for you ! I snapped angrily.
” The world doesn’t even know you as a part of the mafia Fred ,you’re a politician ….they know me as the Senator’s wife , besides I’m not a kid …..” She snapped in equal anger .
” This exactly what I hate about you Aria ,this stuborness ….I know you’re stubborn but why can’t you be As un-derstanding as Grace ….? She fu-cking un-derstood my brother ….” I trailed and stopped immediately.

I just compared my wife to someone else.
” Aria …” I trailed and she removed her hands from my grip .
” Baby I’m sorry ” I trailed and she stared at me as tears rolled outta her eyes.
” I’m not grace Frederico I’m Aria ,I may not be perfect but I definitely don’t like being compared with another woman ” she said and left the room after picking the designer bag I bought for her .
” Oh ” I groa-ned in frustration .
From last night to this very moment has been nothing but a disaster .
I stared at my phone on the bed side and walked into the bathroom to get ready for work .
Throu-ghout my time outside I was hurt and upset about my fight with Aria .

” You wanted me to drive you to work ? Or you wanted to talk about something ? Anna asked as she smiled at me .
I burst out crying and her smile turned into a worried expression immediately .
” What’s wrong c’mon talk to me ” she said ru-b-bing my back .
” Fred acted like a big je-rk Anna , I …tried to make him see reasons why I wanted to work outside the mafia and he compared me to his sister in-law Grace ” I said and her jaws dropped.
” That’s mean ” she said immediately
” Do you know how I felt ? I know Grace is a good mafia wife and all but cmon I’m trying my best to be supportive here ….. I’m trying my hardest ….to …..”I trailed as I cried bitterly and she pulled me into her arms .
” I’m really Sorry Aria but you really need to calm down and take your mind out of what happened ” she said and hug-ged me .
” I’m sorry babe …but I know Fred really loves you maybe what you guys need is a heart to heart talk …” She said and I smiled
I need to go to work I’d see you when I get back ” I said and she smiled.
She offered to take me there herself and I agreed ,I didn’t take any of the De LUCA cars because I was angry .
She dropped me off at the company and bid me bye .
I heived a sigh of relief and walked in…just to bump into someone.
” Omg I’m so sorry ” I said and he smiled .
” Oh….it’s okay , are you new here ? He asked and I smiled .
” Ya I just got the job at the finance department” i said and he smiled.
His smile was very contagious and he was very handsome too. .
” By the way I’m Aria …De Luca ” I said and he stared at me.
” DE Luca ” he repeated then smiled.
” Nice name ,I’m Luciano …”
” Luciano DE NERO” he said as we shook hands .
