I fell on my knees before Khloe and took off my mask.
“Who are you?” She asked

“I’m gold and we nee-d something from you”, I said and she glared at me

“I don’t believe you, I know my uncle s£nt you to kill me like he killed embrya…”

“Look I’m gold….”

“I know who you are, Gold Bailey right? Well Embrya always talked about you, but I still hate you”.

She said and took on her feet again.

Khloe POV 🌺

I st©pped running after realizing I lost them and I wasn’t being followed anymore.
I quic-kly wiped my tears from my cheeks, I can’t stay with penny any longer, my uncle’s men will eventually find me and kill me or worse sell me in the black market.

I thought about what gold said, I really don’t like her ever since I saw her on the TV as the cafe girl that insulted the billionaire Aiden, I heard that she was responsible for the death of Charlotte the fiancee of Richa-rd knight.
Worse when embrya work mate Betty c@m£ she kept on ranting on how gold was the cause of her getting fired.
Betty even said she has sle-pt with three men especially that doctor Lukas. She’s a real definition of a slut and I really hate her.

I took a turn and stood at the front door I just hope penny won’t be angry that I c@m£ home late.

I entered the house and saw gold and Stella talking with penny.

“How did you get in here?” I growled at Gold

“She let us in a we are going to have a talk Missy,” Stella said

“Khloe remember I told you about my missing friend who worked at the cafe with me and mysteriously disappeared, well that was Gold” Penny explained.

“Well I don’t care and I nee-d you two to get the fv¢k out of my house”

“Khloe!!” Penny called.

“They are here to take me back to London!” I yelled

“For the last time we’re not” Stella said frustrated

“And why would I believe you?”

“Because your uncle is dead. He died by hanging after your brother returned to claim the kingdom from him”.

“My brother is back, when can I go home?”

“Last week the same time embrya died your uncle reclaimed the throne and somehow it connects to embrya death and we found out that she was digging throu-gh some case in the hospital and turned up dead.”

“Well I’m not going to help you with anything”

“What is wrong with you, were here trying to find out the cause of Embrya death and you’re here behaving like a child” Gold spat

“I don’t care, embrya is gone and I’ve moved on, I advise that you do so…” I said walking away but gold pu-ll-ed me back.

“If I don’t get what I c@m£ for I’m not going anywhere..” Gold said.

5:00pm sharp Miss Veronica c@m£ back home as she unlocked the door locking for any signs of Jayden.
She breathe a sign of relief that she didn’t put the family name into the gutters.
She switched on the lights and behold Jayden sat down comfortably in her midst as his b©dyguard Damon stared at her.

“You know what Miss Veronica I was beginning to like you but now I see that’s there’s no difference between you and your husband…” Jayden said

“How dare you break into my house, get out before I call the police!!” She yelled

“You should be the one afraid for talking to the King of England that way….” Damon blurted out.

“Your highness plea-se don’t punish me..”

“What do you know about the r@p£?”

“I…..I ….I..” she stammered

“You said your husband threatened to divorce you if you told the authorities but yet you did and lie that you didn’t, I know how much I pains you Miss Veronica, it’s only me, you and Damon, so I’m going to ask you one more time who’s responsible for Delilah pregnancy?”

“It was…….it….it was Fredrick Shawn my husband, he’s the one responsible for Delilah pregnancy”.

Jayden POV ?

“It was Fredrick Shawn, my husband that is responsible for Delilah pregnancy…” She said and broke into tears.

“It’s okay Miss Veronica, how did it happen?”.

“Meava was posted to have her surgery in Ukraine, Delilah hit puberty and was growing in places that made her father lvst over her which I didn’t know, he told me to leave with Meava or else he would hold me responsible if Meava died. I wanted to leave with Delilah but he refused, if only I knew what my baby had to pas-s throu-gh that painful emotional trauma, to think that your father was the one who defiled you broke Delilah down”, she fell on her knees crying.

“That bastard R@p£d my baby and didn’t give a damn about her after he defiled her and hated her. Even after everything he put her throu-gh he still didn’t care but Delilah still wanted to win the love and affection of her father…..when she got pregnant and Meava found out about she died of shock. It was my fault for leaving her with her useless father, Delilah bec@m£ broken and I failed as a mother…….” She sobbe-d the more

“Was he on drugs?”

“Yes he was, he would take one every night at first I didn’t know but when I did I burnt them all and threatened to report to the government if he bought again from his supplier”.

“Why didn’t your report to the authorities?”

“I wanted Delilah to live a normal life and erase all the painful memories, but no matter what i did I’ve alre-ady lost and I blamed myself every night.
Then her father decided to s£nd her to a boarding school with all girls. I approved but asked my girl what she wanted and she said she wanted to a normal school and make friends and become a doctor and find Meava her daughter.

After her father sold the baby all she thought of was the baby so behind her father’s back u granted her wish, in disguise she went to an all girls school but actually she attended a normal school, I did everything I could to make her happy”.

“Did she ever find Meava?”

“I don’t know if she continued searching for her baby after she married and had her second child and hid the gender for reasons I don’t know.”

“Was she happy married to a drun!kard and gambler?” I asked

“She always called saying everything was alright but they always argued, they later got a divorce at the end because of some misun-derstanding that only she and her husband knows of.”

“Hmm thank you Miss Veronica but do you have any idea about Delilah’s death….” She shook her and went to the other side of the room and opened a cu-pboard bringing out a box.

“After she died Delilah lawyer brou-ght this” she said and dropped the box

“These are Delilah’s memories every single one of them describing her life, she told her lawyer to give them to me if she died and to be honest I haven’t had the courage to open them”.

I scanned throu-gh the papers until something caught my attention.

“There was a reason for the divorce, a reason why i hid my baby gender, I did it to protect my husband and baby, the world I’m living in is a dirty game even doctors hands don’t come clean they are all stained with blood, every one fighting for survival I didn’t leave because I wanted to do it because I wanted to protect them both from what I alre-ady knew, they must not know…….” I was confused at the last p@rt I checked the d@t£ and she wrote it the day before she died, so she had a reason to run away and hide but from who?

I kept on searching and saw a deed.

“To protect my daughter from them I Delilah Will the hospitals un-der my care and my daughter to the other p@rty……Lukas.” My eyes grew wi-de in shock.

Lukas is more than an ordinary childhood friend to Gold, this is another mystery.

I slumped back into the chair trying to think. What was Delilah running from that she had to Will Gold un-der Lukas and where does Lukas fit into all this, one thing to be sure is that Lukas knows that Delilah willed Gold to him so he’s not trusted.

“Damon carry this to the just we’re going back to England.

Thank you Miss Veronica, you’ve helped alot but may I ask you one question?” She nodded her head for approval.

“What happened to your husband, how did he die?”

“Delilah c@m£ back for a summer break, she was eighteen and about to graduate. He was out drinking the time she c@m£ back home, I was happy that she didn’t have to face him but when he c@m£ home he dragged her from her be-d and str!pped her n-ked putting her unconscious all I know is that Delilah woke up with a broken bottle and a dead father……”

“Did she kill him?” I asked and she pu-ll-ed her sleeve up revea-ling a hvge scar.

“No your highness, he made a big mistake to take advantage of her once and Delilah forgived him but when he tried to do it again I couldn’t bear it anymore….I killed my husband and I’m not proud of it but I’ll do anything for my daughter’s happiness.”

“Thank you Miss Veronica, you will live to see your grandchildren…” I said and exit the house

“What do we do now?” Damon asked

“That Lukas of a doctor knows something and we are going to find out for the mean time Aiden nee-ds to keep an eye on gold…. This mystery is just getting started.

Gold POV ?

“If I don’t get what I c@m£ for I’m not going anywhere” I said shooting her a glare.

“I don’t have anything to do with embrya, sh kept things away from me, so I don’t have whatever you’re looking for” she said

“This file belong to your sister, every information and detail about her mission is on this file…” Khloe g@sped collecting the file from me.

“How did you get this?” Khloe asked

“Now you want you to cooperate, we found it at the hospital” Stella hissed

“They are coming for me!” Khloe screamed

“What do you mean they are coming for you??”

“Whoever has access to this files know that I am alive, what have you done?” Khloe said in tears

“What’s the big deal it’s just some information about embrya”

“Nob©dy knows embrya was my guardian except my uncle. Embrya only had access to this information between my parents before that died, whoever has that copy of this files is coming to take me and sell me for the throne and if I’m not mistaken my brother would want to come and rescue me…” Khloe explained.

“The address was listed on the information that means they are coming, everyone give me your phone”, I said as they did and I smashed they all over the floor.

“What did you do that for?” Stella yelped.

“That can be tracking us down. Khloe you are not safe here, the only way you’ll be safe is if you’re in England” I said

“Pack your bags princess we’re going back to England……”

Lukas POV ?

“What do you mean you lost their signal?” I asked furious

“It’s like their devices were turned off before we could reach them, they know we’re on them…..

“I don’t care how you do it, track that princess down and I want her dead”

“But sir don’t we nee-d her alive….

“Follow my orders kill everyone that comes your way but I want Gold alive”

I picked up my phone and glance throu-gh the video of gold and Aiden ma-king out at the cemetery and it drives me mad everytime.

That Khloe has the research of Embrya about the carbonyx and I want her dead and putting a tracking device on gold’s phone did not work out well.

You have always been smart gold but you will soon regret standing up to me.
