The city were in chaos. Vansham men were Everywhere hunting for the a-ssa-ssin’s. After dropping Nina at the physician bed he ran out to hunt for the a-ssa-ssin’s himself.
The old physician quickly expose her chest and cut the wound. Seeing the black blood leaving her body he shock his head.
“It’s above my treatments…..she’s going to die!”
Everyone broke into tears. The Queen run to the shimmer.
“Shimmer……shimmer……you have to help us…… consult the gods!” She yelled
“There is nothing I can do….it’s all in your son’s hand” she smiled.
“Please… please she’s going to die….. please help me….she’s such a nice girl…she can’t just die… please… please!!” She pleaded.
“I can’t save her but I know someone who can…..” She said
“Please tell me!” The Queen payed full attention.
“The witches from the south, the flowers they yield can save her” she said and turned her back “if i were you I’d be gone by now because she meant die very very soon” she added.
Kai cut the a-ssa-ssin’s but before he could asked who sent them, they killed themselves.
In anger Kai walk back to the physician room. He saw the looks on everyone face.
“What happened, how’s Victoria?” He asked
“Are you seriously going to be asking about Victoria’s health when the one who risk her life to save you is dying??!!!!” Kaleb yelled.
“I never asked her to save me…..” Kai said and Kaleb punched his jaw.
“You ungrateful beast…..she’s dying, the arrow was poisonous. How could you be so heartless?” Kaleb said in disappointment “she end up in a world she knows nothing about and agreed to marry you… She even saved your life….and you’re not going to care!!!!” Kaleb yelled
“Why should I care!!!, I don’t live her!!!, The girl I love is Victoria!!!, If you want Nina you can take her and give me Victoria!!!” Kai yelled.
“She was right….you can’t really force a blind man to see….. It’s of no use” Kaleb said and turned to the physician “is there anything we can do?” He asked and he shook his head.
“Am sorry your highness”
The Queen ran in. “There is something to save her!” She said and Kaleb eyes lightened.
“What?” He asked
“But it’s impossible!” She cried.
“Just say it will you?!” Kai yelled.
“I thought you don’t care?” Kaleb challenge Kai.
“Back off, am only returning the favor to her for saving my life” Kai said.
“The witches of the south, the shimmer said she can be saved with the flower they yield” she said.
“Master…….master!!!” The maids yelled from the room and everyone rushed in.
The physician hold Nina’s hand. “She won’t last long”
“How many days will she last?” Kai asked
“Am not sure, maybe two to three days” he said.
“How many days does it takes to reach the witches?” Kai asked
“Two days on night, if you ride without rest” Baron said.
“Get my horse ride…..am going to the witches” Kai said, before he left he looked at Nina again “Be strong, I’ll be back”
Kai could feel his heart beat weak. Making him know Nina was getting worse. He rode really fast, following every short cuts he knows with Baron.
Luckily with his powers he got there in a day.
“Who is it?” The disgusting voice asked.
“Why don’t you come out and see for yourself?” Kai answered rudely.
“Prince Kai… second some of king Vansham the 6th, know as the ice prince. Your wife was shoot by a poisonous arrow…as I speak to you she’s almost close to her grave and you want my flowers to heal her!” The voice said.
“Since you already know….let’s not waste our precious time just give me the flowers” Kai said.
“That’s too easy…but I won’t give you my flowers….you yourself want her dead!, Don’t you?” She asked.
“Shut your mouth witch and do as you’re told!!!” Kai yelled in frustration.
“Why are you angry at me?” The witch asked softly
“Am not angry at you am angry at myself!” Kai yelled again.
“You’re not angry at yourself Kai, tell me how are you angry at?” The soft voice of the witch was a silent killer.
“ITS NINA!!!” Kai yelled as he fell on his knees. Baron could only watch, there was nothing he could do.
“Why are you so mad at her!?” She asked sweetly again, driving Kai crazy.
“Because….. because…. I don’t know…aaahhh….you’re tormenting my mind!!!!” Kai yelled holding his head.
“Tell me Kai….tell me Kai…. Go on Kai….!!” She whined him.
“She’s….she’s….I…I don’t want to love her…. she’ll only leave me again….just like Victoria!” He yelled.
“Then you’ll only love and cherish the little time she has with you…..you love her!”
“I don’t!!!!!” Kai yelled.
“You love her!!!” The witch pressured
“I said I don’t!!!”
“You do!, Open you eyes Kai…. Victoria is not your heart owner!!!!!!!” The witch yelled.
“…..” Kai began to breath heavily. Nina was all that was in his head. Suddenly his heart weakened and he crush his chest in pains.
“Please she’s dying……” Kai pleaded for once putting his pride away. Baron was shocked.
“I can only help you if you promise me you’d love her and treat her well” she said
“I’ll try….aahh….” Kai whine in pains
“That’s not good enough Kai, let’s just let her die!” The witch said
“No…no…i promise to love her….. please” Kai said and the witch smiled…………………

The witches smiled. The three witches finally showed themselves.
“You now have something you cherish Kai!”
“Just give me the flower!” Kai said
“Not so fast…..Kai….”
“But she’s dying….!!!” Kai yelled.
“Oh…you must really be worried about her….I’ll give you another test…if you pa-ss….then I’ll give the flower to you and bring you and your man back to Vansham in a blink of an eye, but…..” She looked at her sisters
“Go on!” Kai plead.
“If you fail…..she dies!!!!” She said
“Kai…no…you can’t make a deal with a South witch” Baron warned.
“Please….I promise to come back and play your deals with you….I give you my word…but first….help me get home so I can heal her” Kai said.
“We will keep that in mind…..” They said at once.
Moo and Eva watched Nina fade slowly. She look pale…her rosie li-ps were now dry and bruised.
“How’s she?” The Queen asked, the physician felt her purse but it wasn’t pumping. He placed his head in her chest. There was no heart beat.
“My….my Queen….she….. she’s gone!” The physician cried.
“No……no……” Everyone started crying and lamenting.
Kai appeared in the corridor. He quickly run towards the ward. He saw everyone crying.
“W…what’s going on?” Baron asked.
“The second princess just pa-ssed away!!” A guard cried.
Kai eyes darkened, he fasten his steps.
When he arrived at the room. He put the flower into a bowl.
“Boil it….!” He said to the physician. His voice were as cold as ice..
Kai looked at Nina. The pains in his heart worsen. He wanted to hold her hands but he stopped half way. He remembered the witches and the promise he made.
Kai sat close to the bed and hold her cold arms.
“You won’t die….not while am alive” Kai whispered.
“It’s ready your highness…but we have a problem…how do we feed her the medicine?” He asked. Just then Victoria and Kaleb watch by the door.
“I’ll feed her….” Kai said and collected the medicine from the physician. Everyone paid full attention to him.
Kai took a spoonful of the medicine and blow some air on it from his mouth.
He put the medicine on his mouth.
With one hand he used to lift Nina and the other opened her mouth.
Kai’s mouth met Nina’s, as he forced the drink into her mouth. The plan was walking well.
Seeing this Victoria crushed her fist but manage to stay cool. This Nina is really something.
Kai kept on feeding her with his mouth until the bowl was empty.
“Please Nina…..come back….back to me….I know I was ungrateful, I’ve hurt you really bad….you’ve saved me twice and am not thankful. Am….am sorry….”
“You haven’t apologise for being rude too” Kai heard a voice. He raised his eyes. It was Nina….her eyes were opened a little.
“Nina!, Nina….” Kai yelled holding her closer.
“Am sleepy” i said.
“It’s okay…you can sleep…I’ll be here with you….I won’t leave” Kai said.
“Promise?” I asked.
“Yes….”.
I woke up feeling stiff and dizzy. I rub my eyes.
“Moo!!!” I yelled. “Moo….. anyone there?, Han?” I yelled.
The door slightly opened, then I heard “the princess is awake…..the princess is awake!!!”
Everyone filled my room, of course apart from Kai.
“How are you feeling now?” The physician asked
“Better…just a little stiff and dizzy” i said
“You’ll be fine….don’t worry…you need rest” he said. I look around again. I didn’t want to be the first to ask where Kai is?. Maybe he’s with Victoria again….chiii… Annoying.
Then the door open. It was Kai…he was sweating all over. He was breathing heavily. He walked up to me and sat on the bed before hugging me.
“You’re awake!” He said.
“Yeah! I said feeling awkward
“You all can leave us now” Kai said
It was quiet in the room.
“Thanks for saving me!” I broke the silence
“No…i was only returning the favor!” He said calmly
“Oh…if you say so?” I said.
“Nina….am really sorry” Kai said again
“For what?”
“For everything, I want us to be friends now ..lets start with that to see how things go” he said
“Ok…..let’s try!” I added……………
