Victoria has been giving me method to use to make Kai like me. Well I’ve got to admit it’s really fun fooling her.
“Nina!” I heard a voice from behind.
“Your highness!” Victoria bowed. It was Kaleb.
“Greetings to the……” He waved his hands to stop me.
“Nina….can I have a moment with you?” He asked. I look at Victoria, she looked shocked.
“Um yes…..your highness!” I said
“No…..i mean..not now….your highness I have so many things to teach her!” Victoria said.
“I thought we were done….and by the way the lessons was being boring….it’ll be an honour to have a walk with the crown prince”. I said, anger flash in his eyes.
“Are you okay with that Vic?” Kaleb asked and she nodded with a forced smile.
Kaleb was a nice person. I couldn’t help but smile. His voice was de-ep too….more than Kai. He look handsome too but he ha-rd a warm skin unlike Kai whose skin was with.
“You can call me Kaleb when we are alone” he said
“Really?” I clap my hands together, it’s a habit i have when am over excited
“Yes….let’s be friends”
“You’re so friendly and nice….. Victoria is lucky to have married you” i said.
“There is something everyone is hiding with from you in the palace” he said.
“What’s that?” I asked.
“Victoria and Kai….they….”
“Are in love…pheff…I already know that long ago…..”
“And you’re okay with it?” He asked.
“Yes….am perfectly fine with it…,I don’t like Kai or anything….all I want is to.go back home….” I said smiling.
“I heard you were already engaged…to some guy….” He said and clear his throat.
I giggled “yes…..Alex…. Alexander” I said.
“Am sorry all this happened…”
“Why are you apologizing?” I asked.
“Because I know the kind of person my brother Kai is….he’s…..”
“It’s okay am not scared of him!” I lied.
“I can see throu-ghNina….you fear him alot….just know that anytime you need my help….I’ll be here” he stood up walking away.
“Wait……I…I do need your help” i said and he smiled brightly, he was tempting.
“Yes Nina”
“I….I need some money…..can you give me some money?” I asked and he laughed out really loud.
“I’ll send my men over to you very soon” he turned around and left. So was it a yes or no?
I sat under an orange tree….the air was refreshing. I lye down and fell asleep.
The memory of Kate dragging me and pushing me into the sea keep on flashing in my dreams over and over and over again….I tried to wake up but I couldn’t. It was terrifying….I was drowning I couldn’t breath….
“Hey!!!” I heard someone called.
“Nina…..Nina…” He called louder. I opened my eyes. It was Alex….
“Alex…….” I murmured and jumb into his arms hugging him tight. “Am scared, I can’t breath…..” I said. I opened my eyes fully. I was still in Vansham. How did Alex get in here. I broke the hug and it was Kai….I jumb back in shock.and hit my head on a branch “aaaaaaouch!!!” I yelled.
“I told you not to sleep anywhere you like!” He said
“You…!, When did you get back…..ouch!” I rub the back of my head.
“Just now….let’s go inside” he said giving me his hands so he can lift me off the gra-ss.
“No…I..I want to stay in here” i said, there was dried blood all over his body. “Is…..is that blood?” I asked.
“I’ll go clean up…..” He stood up and left.
When I came into the room Kai was only wearing pan-ts. His back and chest were exposed. There was so many marks in his body….so many. He turned and face me. His chest was not as worse as his back.
“Turn your eyes away!” He said coldly.
“What happened?” I asked. He grab a shirt and wore it.
“I said look away…..!” He yelled.
“Am sorry” i whisper and turned my eyes away. “Where are you going?” I asked
“Can’t you tell…..am going to see Victoria” he said and I frown
Moo and Eva brou-ght a blue gown into the room
“What this for and where is Han?” I asked.
“Han is business…and this dress is for tonight ball” Eva said
“Ball….what ball?”
“To celebrate Kai’s victory…and you’re the lady of the day…….” Moo said. I had a bad feeling about the party.
“Am not going!” I said
“Not what?” Eva asked.
“I think I heard wrong” Moo said
“I said am not going!” I repeated.
“Wait….am going to tell the Queen Elsa” Moo said and I drag him back.
“What do you think you’re doing?” I said
“Going to tell the Queen you won’t be attending the ball” Moo said
“Am going too” Eva added
“Okay fine….go tell her….I’ll say I have stomach ache” I lied.
“So that’s your plan?” The Queen walked in. I was shocked. Han was behind her.
“Q…queen Elsa….I…..”
“Get her dressed….she’s coming to the ball with me”…………

Kai went to meet Victoria.
“How was your journey?” She asked and Kai covered the space between them. He grab her waist. “Kai stop!” She whine.
“Victoria…….”
“Please Kai I said stop!!!” She raised her voice
“I will get you back Victoria….I promise you I will” Kai said and kis-sed her li-ps before leaving.
“Yes Kai….come get me back….” She whispered. Victoria turned to her maid. “May….?”
“Yes your highness!” She answered
“We are going as planned once she comes to the party!” She said and the maid nodded in agreement.
I could here music playing from down the hall….. people praising Kai’s name. I was so nervous. I rub my palms together and crush my gown in them.
“Come on…let’s go join them….” The Queen said.
“I really don’t want to go….Kai doesn’t want me there¡” I said lowering my head.
“Don’t worry about Kai you’ll just be with me…okay?” She rub my back and I nodded.
When we got to the hall entrance. A fat man yelled. “Welcome Queen Elsa and the second princess Nina!!!!”
As we came down the stairs all eyes where on me.
The Queen drew her li-ps close to my ears “By the way….you look beautiful…they can’t take there eyes off you” I smiled.
Kai eyes met mine but he hissed and turn his face away in disgust.
I walked with the Queen. She began to introduce me to many ladies, I received praises from them.
“Nina dear, can you excuse me for a moment, the king summoned me” she said and I frown.
“I’ll be fine….” I lied. She patted my shoulders and left.
I rub my exposed shoulders. It was cold.
“Cold already?” I heard a voice and I turned around. It was Kaleb.
“Hi, yes….” I said smiling sheepishly.
He smiled back. “You look very beautiful today my lady” he said and bowed in front of me. “You care if I steal your first dance?” He asked. I look over to Kai…he was still drinking and having fun “Don’t worry I won’t bite” he said and i smile.
He gave me his hands, I look over to Kai again, he look wasted. I place my hands on his hand, it was cold.
“I have to warn you…am a good dancer…am sure if I beat you in a dance I won’t be punished” i said jokingly. He smiled widely.
“Let’s see about that…but I hope you’re not a cry baby if I should beat you” he returned the joke and I smiled.
He lead me to the dance floor. Thank God I studied ballad in school. The violin, started playing, followed by trumpet and ba-ss. It was beautiful.
Kaleb hands hold my wa-istand covered the space between us. I place my hands in his shoulders.
“You’re a true beauty Nina….if only Kai would open his eye” he said as we danced
“It’s okay…you can’t force a blind man to see!” I mocked and he giggled.
“Don’t say that in front of him or he’ll be mad” he said and I laughed out loud.
Victoria saw them. She crush her feet. She remembered what the shimmer said, that she’ll lose both her treasures if she doesn’t hold onto one properly.
She look at Kai. He wasn’t even affected, she smiled.
When we stopped dancing everyone applaud.
“Stealing the second princess first dance..that’s not fair” the king said “come here i want to dance with you too” he said and everyone burst into laughter.
Kai stood up and walk up to Victoria. Without asking he grab her hands and drag her to himself. He began to dance with her while I danced with the king.
It was a long night and we stood by the entrance waving the guest good night.
I look up and saw an arrow pointing at Kai.
“KAI….WATCH OUT!!” I yelled. The arrow shot at him but he dorge the arrow.
Kai looked and another arrow was shot, not to his side but to Victoria’s. He rushed and push her away. The arrow landed on the floor.
I was scared really scared. As I saw a arrow shooting towards Kai…. before I could react. My body moved in its own and took the arrow.
“Nina!!!!!” I heard people shouting my name.
Kai raised his head and saw Nina on the floor with an arrow on the left side of her chest. He look at Victoria, she was unconscious.
He stood up and grab Nina.
“N….Nina!!” He called and lifted he off the ground……………….TBC
