FELIX HOUSE**

“Come in.” He opened the door widely.

“Thank you.” Rosa smiled and walked in. “It’s been a while.”

“Yeah. After walking out on me like that.” He muttered but she heard him.

Rosa sighed, dropping her handbag on the couch. “About that day, I’m sorry.”

“You don’t need to apologize, Rosa. It’s okay to judge me.”

She shook her head. “No, it’s not. I have no right to judge you or whatever you do.”

“Well, I don’t mind.” He shrugged and went to the kitchen. “What can I offer you?”

“Ah, please don’t treat me as a guest.”

“But you are my guest. Why then shouldn’t I treat you as one?”

“Because_” She bites her lower li-p. “I’ve made myself comfortable in your house.” She chuckled.

“Is that so?” Felix co-cked a brow at her, awaiting her reply.

“Mm-hmm. My first time here, we had s-ex. My second time, I cooked for you.”

“Oh…now I understand.” He laughed. “So, you don’t want anything?”

“I can get what I want by myself.” She strolled inside the kitchen, opened the refrigerator, and grabbed a jar of orange juice. “You don’t mind, right?”

Felix immediately shook his head, a ghost smile playing at the side of his li-ps.

“It feels nice.”

“What does?” She poured herself a glas-sof orange juice and took a sip from it.

“Having you here.” He said. “And I’m glad that you feel comfortable here.”

“Okay? Sorry, I do not know what to say to that.”

“I don’t expect you to say anything. I was merely thinking out loud.”

“Alright. Do you want a gla-ss?” She gestured at the jar of orange juice on the kitchen counter.

“Nah. I’m good.”

“Make yourself at home.” She grinned.

“This is my house.” He said whilst laughing but hissed as the pain on his face shot up. “fuc-k .”

“Oh my, God. Are you okay?” She rushed to his side. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have made you laugh.”

He waved her off. “You must love apologizing.”

“I can’t help it.”

“I’m fine, Rose. I needed this positive and lively vibe anyway.”

“You still haven’t told me.” She noted.

“Told you..?”

“What happened to your face? Did you get into a fight or fell inside a pit?”

“If I fell inside a pit, would I still be alive?”

“Not all pits are de-ep.”

“That’s right. Well,” He sighed. “It’s the former.”

She frowned, thinking of the options she had listed out.

“You got into a fight?” He nodded. “Why? How? When? What happened? I’m sorry I am asking too many questions.”

“There she goes again with her apologies.” He goes to sit on the couch in the living room, Rosa was right behind him.

She sat down beside him, looking at his face closely.

“I’m sorry. Shit, I said the word again. As I said, I can’t help it.”

Felix laughed and shook his head. “You are addicted to that word, aren’t you?”

She shrugged. “I think I am. Don’t laugh again or you will get hurt.” She told him.

It was silent until Felix decided to speak…

“Am I a bad guy?” He asked, staring at the center table with a blank expression on his face.

“Why do you ask that? Is it because you got into a fight?”

“Not particularly. You pointed that out the day you walked out on me. I can remember every one of your words.”

“Oh please. Forget about them. I crossed the line and I regret doing so.”

“Is the world really against me because of the way I treat women?” He questioned, turning to look at her.

“Uhm, the world is complicated.”

“Be honest with me, Rose. Don’t try to sugarcoat your words because you don’t want to hurt my feelings.” He said.

“I have no right to judge you, Felix. I don’t want to cross the line again.”

“I don’t mind. I just need someone to be sincere with me, that’s all.”

She took a sip of the orange juice and cleared her throat. “Well…I won’t call you a bad guy and neither are you a good guy.”

“How do you mean?”

“You’ve done a lot of bad things. You betrayed the love your ex-girlfriend had for you and you hurt your best friend’s feelings as well. As if that wasn’t enough, you lied to your ex-girlfriend’s father about being engaged to his daughter. You practically took him for a fool. As for your best friend, you fuc-k ed her up. She’s married, Felix. If you never liked her, you should have drawn the line but you took her love for you for granted.”

“fuc-k .” Felix cursed under his breath, ruffling his hair. “Now that I am hearing this from you, I think I do deserve the beating or even more.”

“I didn’t say all this to make you feel any worse than you already feel. People make mistakes_”

He shook his head. “I won’t regard my foolishness as a mistake. It will only look like I’m making up excuses. I want to be a better man, Rose. I don’t want to be a douchebag who treats women like trash. I want to listen to your advice and be good.” He stared de-eply into her eyes, both holding each other gazes. “Will that ever be possible?”

Rose dropped aside the glas-sof juice and reached out to hold his hands. “Nothing is impossible. But can I ask you a question?”

“Yes?”

“What do you mean by that? You said you deserve the beating you got…how?”

“It’s a long story. I’m sorry but I don’t want to go into details.”

She nodded in understanding. “Okay. I’m glad you confided in me and you don’t need to say the whole full story…just half of it is enough.” She smiled.

Ca-ssANO’S MANSION★KITCHEN**

★“Hi, I’m Lottie.”★

Diamond shook her head, rubbing her eyes as she descended the stairs.

It was confusing and crazy.

That wasn’t a nightmare but a memory. But why?

Why did she have a memory like that?

Has she met Lottie in the past?

No matter how ha-rd she tries to make sense of all of this, she can’t.

Diamond strolled inside the kitchen and poured herself a glas-sof warm water.

She is damn thirsty and needs to quench her thirst.

“fuc-k , my head hurts.” She whined, taking a large gulp of water. “Ah.” She breathed out and dropped the cup on the countertop.

★“Hi, I’m Lottie.”★

Diamond closed her eyes and started ma-ssaging her temple.

‘I’m forgetting something, I can feel it. There is a memory in there that I’m trying to grasp onto. What is it? Who is Lottie? Who is the brunette girl?’ She thought.

“What are you doing?” A de-ep voice interrupted her.

Diamond immediately opened her eyes and found her boss leaning against the doorframe with his arms crossed over his broad masculine chest.

He was still wearing the clothes she last saw on him. Was he just returning from the ‘business’? She wondered.

“Uh, nothing.” She answered.

“You should be asleep like everyone else.” He pushed himself off the doorframe and walked further into the kitchen. “Why are you awake?”

She shrugged. “I couldn’t sleep. What about you? Are you just returning from the business?” She voiced out her thought.

“Yes.”

“By this time?”

“It is only 3 am, nothing scary about that.” He scoffed.

“But it is risky.” she remarked.

“Nothing is risky for me.” His eyes wandered off her body. He won’t deny how hot and tempting she looked tonight. Mikhail wrapped his tattooed arm around her wa-istand pulled her to himself. “Although, there is something very risky I’m doing and for once in five years, I’m curious.”

Diamond creased her brows. “What do you mean?”

“You look sick.” He said, ignoring her question.

She sniffed and nodded. “Yeah. I feel like it too. Probably because of the nightmare I had.” She scoffed. “I don’t know if it makes any sense to consider that as a nightmare.”

“Nightmare?” Mikhail carried her with one arm as if she weighed nothing and dropped her on the countertop. “What is it?”

She bites her li-p. “I don’t know how to explain it.”

“You don’t know how to explain it or..” He ki-ssed her neck and Diamond shivered from the contact. “we are still not close enough?”

He peppered her neck with his hot ki-sses. Diamond tilted her head to the side, granting him full access to torture her with his li-ps.

“Answer me.” He insisted.

“I…” She mo-an-ed when he sunk his teeth into her skin. “fuc-k .”

“You what?” He urged, caressing her bare thighs. She was wearing only a short and tube bra.

“I don’t know how to explain it.” She said, seductively biting her li-ps.

“Does that mean you could have told me if you knew how to explain it?”

She quickly nodded her head in reply, wrapping her arms around his neck.

“I think we are close enough now, don’t you think?”

He smirked. “Sure…” He ran his tongue over her earlobe, hitting her sensitive spot.

“Uhh.” Diamond mo-an-ed in plea-sure, arching her back.

“We were having a chitchat before I left for my business,” He began whilst staring into her eyes. “I will like us to continue right now.”

“Hmm.” She hummed, her focus solely on his fingers trailing back and forth against her thighs.

“What is your father’s name?” He asked.

“Rhodes.” She answered without hesitation.

“Just Rhodes? Doesn’t he have a last name?”

Diamond smiled. “Isn’t it obvious what his last name will be? My last name is Chase, remember?

“Are you trying to say he’s Rhodes Chase?”

“Yes.”

‘That fuc-k ing bastard, he changed his identity. Now I see why it was more difficult to find him.’ Mikhail growled in his mind.

“I see.” His fingers goes further up until they came upon her cl*t throu-ghthe light fabric of her shorts. “How old were you when he got married to your mother?”

“Uhh…” Diamond’s p**sy was throbbing and she could feel the we-tness pooling down there. “twelve.”

“Twelve.” He repeated with a firm nod, stro-king her most sensitive spot.

“Oh, fuc-k .” She mo-an-ed, gripping the edge of the counter.

“What does he do for a living?”

“He..he…runs a company. Ahh,” A louder mo-an escaped her li-ps when his fingers began stro-king fast-er.

Mikhail leaned over to her neck and continued ki-ssing her while caressing her cl*t.

Diamond squee-zed her eyes shut, bucking her hips.

Her shorts were soaked with her we-tness.

He bites her neck leaving a hickey.

“Oh my, God.” She whimpered. She was so engrossed in the plea-sure that she didn’t notice when he sli-pped his fingers into her shorts and directly made contact with her cl*t. “Uhh.”

‘A company? Tsk. What a sly animal.’ Mikhail thought.

He thru-st his middle finger inside her we-tness, “I can see you are ready for me.”

“Ye..yes.” She stuttered.

Mikhail started thru-sting in and out of her, earning loud mo-ans from her.

He added his index finger increasing the plea-sure. Diamond eyes rolled to the back of her head as the ecstasy becomes too much for her.

How can just his fingers make her feel this way? She began to move her hips, meeting his brutal thru-st.

“Ahh. Oh, God. fuc-k , uhh.” She cried, arching her back.

Suddenly, they heard footsteps approaching the kitchen.

Diamond’s eyes wide-ned as she tried to listen carefully to be sure that it was footsteps she was hearing.

It was.

“Oh, shoot.” She stared at her boss, “Someone is coming.”

Mikhail was unfazed about that. “So?”

“So?” She repeated, giving him the ‘are you kidding me?’ look. Yes, she was fuc-k ing h*rny and needed a good fuc-k from her boss but no, she doesn’t want to get caught fuc-k ing him in the damn kitchen. What if it was Evelyn, Paige, or even worse, the kid? Sh*t! “My image can’t get tarnished like this.” She pushed Mikhail and hopped down from the countertop. She looked around, searching for a good hiding spot but the footstep was drawing closer. Diamond immediately fell to her knees and crawled under a table in the kitchen.

Mikhail who have been quiet while she did all that, looked very amused and even had to fight the urge to burst into laughter.

The kitchen door opened and Marcello came into view.

“Oh, fuc-k .” He was startled to see his boss standing behind the counter and oh boy, the man appears to be very pissed off about something. “Boss, what are you doing there?”

“This is my house.” Mikhail gro-aned.

“Oh. Yes. Is anything the matter? You look pissed off right now?”

“I don’t know, you tell me.”

“Sir? How…how will I know? Did I_”

“Take whatever you want and get out.” He snapped.

Marcello looked around, wondering what the coldness was all about.

His boss was usually this cold and heartless, nothing is surprising about that. However, there is something strange about him right now. He was different. Different from the boss he has known for the past five years.

“I think I should leave.” Marcello bowed and stepped out of the kitchen, closing the door.

Diamond crawled out of the table and slowly raised her head, surveying the large kitchen.

“Is he gone?” She asked.

“Why did you hide?” Mikhail asked.

“Huh?” She stood up, dusting her hands. “What if we get caught?”

“I am the boss. I get to do whatever I fuc-k ing want.”

“Good for you. Well, I am your daughter’s nanny. I don’t get to do whatever I fuc-k ing want. I have a reputation to keep.” She said.

“And I don’t?”

“Uh…as you said, you are the boss. Who dares question your authority or reputation.” She let out a soft breath.

Mikhail stared at her without saying anything.

Diamond ran the tip of her tongue over her li-ps, fli-pping her hair to the back of her ear. She faced her boss and caught him staring. Most guys would have blus-hed and look away but that wasn’t the case for her boss. He didn’t blus-h and neither did he look away.

His eyes were boring holes into her face, it had her thinking if she has dirt on her face or something.

“Così bello.” (So beautiful). He muttered and immediately shook his head. ‘What the fuc-k did I just say?’

Diamond knitted her brows, wondering what he means by the Italian language. “Boss_”

“You should go to sleep.” He cut her off and attempted to walk out but she stopped him.

“Are you going? Shouldn’t we continue? I’m…God, I can’t believe I’m going to say this,” She su-cked in a de-ep breath as if trying to encourage herself. “I am..still h*rny.”

“Don’t you have a reputation to keep? What if someone else comes in again?”

“I…I..”

“Go to bed.” He dismissed her and left the kitchen.

“Oh, fuc-k .” She pouted, looking down at her erected n*pples and soaked shorts. “Marcello, I curse you!”

MORNING★DIEGO’S HOUSE**

“Be careful at work,” Layla said.

“I will. Are you okay now?” She frowned at his question. “Last night you were off the edge.”

“Oh. I had a lot on my mind. I’m sorry if I got you worried.”

He ki-ssed her li-ps. “Always be in a good mood for me, okay? I hate seeing you unhappy.”

She smiled and nodded her head.

“Have a great day.” He said.

“You too.”

They ki-ssed again and Diego grabbed his briefcase and car keys.

“Bye, honey.”

“Bye.” She waved and watched him leave the room.

As soon as he was gone, she snatched her phone and dialed Felix’s number.

It rang for a few minutes but went to voicemail. She tried it again, and the same thing.

“Argh. Why isn’t he picking up?” She was frustrated, angry, and scared.

If Felix tells her husband the shit that went on between the both of them, her life is ruined.

She tries the number again, and hopefully, he answered.

“Lay_”

She cut him off. “Let’s meet.”

He sighed. “Alright. When?”

“Now. I will come over to your place.”

“Okay.”

She hung up the call and stormed inside the bathroom to take a quick shower.

LIVING ROOM**

Diego rushed downstairs and headed for the front door when Daria called out to him.

“Boss,”

He turned around to look at her. “Daria, how are you?”

“I’m fine, sir.”

“Okay? Is there a problem?” He asked.

“Uhm, there is something I want to tell you.”

“Can’t it wait? I have to be in a very important meeting.”

She shook her head. “No. I have to tell you right now. It took me a lot of courage to want to discuss this thing with you.”

“I hope it is worth my time.”

“Yes.” She glanced upstairs and then returned her gaze to her boss. “Let’s go outside.”

“You can’t talk about it in here?” He raised a questioning brow at her.

“No.”

He hesitated. “Fine. Let’s go outside.”

They both stepped out of the house.

****

RHODES’S MANSION★MEXICO**

Elodie watched Rhodes get dressed for work.

They haven’t said a word to each other since last night.

He collected his car keys and left the room.

Elodie got up from the bed and went to stand at the window where she could see the gate and the different cars lined up in the compound.

She sighted Rhodes coming out of the house and entering his favorite black Mercedes Benz. She watched him drive out of the compound.

“What secrets are you hiding from me? Who are you?” She raised her phone and dialed a private line number.

“Hello,” A manly voice answered from the other line.

“He just drove out of the compound, follow him.” She hung up the call afterward. “I must find out what you are keeping from me, Rhodes.”

****

Ca-ssANO’S MANSION★HALLWAY**

Diamond was returning from dropping the kid at school.

She ascended the stairs and was heading to her bedroom when she bumped into Lottie who was stepping out of her room.

They both caught each other’s gaze.

Lottie rolled her eyes and looked away and was about to walk past Diamond

“Can I have a word with you?” The nanny said, bringing Lottie’s movement to halt.

“Excuse me?”

“Can I have a word with you?” Diamond repeated, trying to remain calm.

“Wow, this is new. What does my niece’s nanny have to say to me? or does she want to frame up me again?” She folded her arms over her chest, giving Diamond a pointed look.

“You tried to frame me up first so don’t blame me for what happened that day. It’s not my fault that I am better in the game than you are.”

“Did you stop me to exchange words?” Lottie snarled in anger.

“I don’t want to fight,” Diamond said.

“Then watch your words and talk to me with respect.”

Diamond did not say anything.

Right now, she needs Lottie’s memory. If they’ve actually met in the past and she doesn’t remember then Lottie is going to, right? Well, she’s about to find out.

“Have we met each other in the past?” She blurted, going straight to the point.

Lottie knitted her brows. “What?”

“Uhm, I know this might sound crazy and stupid but I think I’ve met you in the past.”

“What are you saying? Is this some kind of movie where we have the first life and second life? So what, you think I was your sister or best friend in your first life, is that it?”

“That wasn’t what I meant.”

“Then make yourself clear.”

“I mean,” Diamond took out her phone and goes throu-ghher phone gallery until she came across a picture of her younger self. “There,” She showed the picture to Lottie. “Have you ever seen this face before when you were a child?”

Lottie furrowed her brows, staring intently at the little girl with long brown hair.

She look up at Diamond’s face and asked the question, the nanny last expected to hear.

“Where did you get this picture from?” Lottie asked, suddenly becoming anxious. “Where did you get Diamond’s picture from!?”

TBC.
