Our last argument had resulted to a cold war in the house, the r0m@nç£was gradually dying off as we no longer k!$$£d before stepping out or coming in, we st©pped eating together, backing each other on be-d, saying goodnight prayers together, greeting each other was becoming traditional not ro-mantic anymore to fulfill all righteousness. Our new family culture had adjusted for a couple of days with no one willing to apologise, I should have apologised but she doesn’t have sufficient evidence to hold on, rather her accusations where on mere suspicions.

On the other hand it has been a verbal tussle with Bunmi, as I had lambasted her at every slight opportunity over her contributions to the issues I am having with my family. I was gradually loosing it because the proceeds gotten from Bunmi meant nothing compared to the volume of love lost in my family. I sincerely want a reconciliation with my wife but nee-ded a more soft landing to avoid her wrath. For the second time of the week I had skipped my S-xual duties with Bunmi because of the rancor.

I sat somewhere in town to drink a few bottle of beer to clear my head of the emotional debris in it, yet Bunmi kept calling repeatedly like her internal organs where with me. I rushed my glas-s of Heineken and headed for Bunmi’s pri-vate lodge because I really nee-ded to pour out my mind to her. On arrival, I expected the impatient Bunmi to instruct her guards to beat me up but that was not the case, as she ignored like I never existed.

Rather she paid keen attention to the little lad who probably would be twice below her age seriously mas-saging and c@r£ss!ngher. The young lad continued with his S-xual escapades, wi-nkling at me at intervals trying to show me how good he is. This was pretty irritating, painful and p@rtially disrespectful as I felt some atom of jealousy seeing another man eat up the ever fleshy and ju-icy Bunmi. I tried paying blind eyes to this movie because it was too obvious that it was a tra-p but Mr pe-niswho most times is s-en-seless to V—-a Bait kept salivating even in the face of disgust.

I went back to the works of the great Philosopher Socrates “Man Know thy Self”. I quic-kly made adjustment to my thoughts and told her I had come to drop my resignation letter and not interested in any form of entanglement with her anymore “She smiled and asked if that’s all I wanted?” I said “yes”. Your wish is my command handsome, you can drop your resignation on the table, you can see am busy servicing what matters most to me, ensure you drop all company property with the HR tomorrow, “she instructed and asked me to use the exit”.

My legs where stiff to the ground as I couldn’t make any move from where I was, all I nee-ded was a push so that I could leave where I was. I felt used, useless and worthless while I shamefully walked away. I drove down home to meet my family, getting home my two year old daughter rushed up to me and said daddy mummy is crying, why are you beating my mummy? I carried her on my arms and said your mummy is not crying she used water to wash her face, my daughter kept looking at me in an unusual manner as I tried distracting her with other things to take her mind away from the drama.

At 2am I woke my wife up to have a word with her, I finally broke the news of my resignation to her, she shouted like someone had died, sorry for the inconveniences and unhappiness my job had caused this home, however for the interest of this family which comes first before any other thing I will look out for something else so that we can all have peace and end all these insecurity tussle “Bayo said”. Why will you quite your job? How do you expect us to pay our bills? How come you decided to take this decision alone without considering the family state? My wife started her interrogations.

Hey babe, this is not an issue we have to debate over, at least every other thing can return to normal now and we can all live in peace “Bayo said”. Babe am sorry, I didn’t mean you should resign, I was only jealous and suspicious with your regular movement with Bunmi, I wasn’t insinuating that you both have an affair, plea-se don’t quite your job ” she cried and apologised taking all the blame again”.

The following morning, my wife stole Bunmi’s number on my phone because we share pas-swords, she texted and pleaded with Bunmi to plea-se take me back on the job, which Bunmi acknowledged and promised to give due consideration. That same morning I drove to the office to submit all company’s property within my possession, after successful do¢v-mentation, the HR requested I take the letter to Bunmi to acknowledge which I did.

I stepped into her office and greeted her formally like we have never seen behind closed doors, she responded in same manner and acted professional. After she had signed the resignation and other do¢v-ments, she requested I seat briefly, she powered her projector and l@pt©p and requested I see a few cl!pof the current unemployment statistics in the country. I obliged, raising my head up it was a S-x video of Bunmi and I beginning from our first S-x to the numerous S-x rumble we have had. She brou-ght her phone and showed me her call log claiming she spoke with my wife earlier but she was a bit reserved with some information’s, however she had prepared one tape to be s£nt to her, so I can live her office now and go home and watch my new movie with my beloved wife. Home is no home when peace doesn’t abide there, any where is home as long as your heart lies there, I began to trek the streets of Lagos like a nomad because I couldn’t go home… He who chooses to eat with the devil must do so with a long spoon.

Calls kept coming in from my wife requesting to know my whereabout, my heart skipped at each beep of my phone. I queried myself on why I didn’t open up to my wife at the beginning, as I miss steps because of excessive intake of alcohol. I summoned courage like the prodigal son and drove back home to face my challenge. Getting back home, my wife in her usual manner hvgged and k!$$£d me, babe you are drun!k“She held my hand and as-sisted me to sit”. Just relax, let me quic-kly run warm water for you to bath “She offered”.

Hope this woman isn’t planning to roast me “I took dressing”. She c@m£ in again, held me firmly and led me to the bathroom as we bathed together, after which I couldn’t remain anything till about 4:21am when she woke me up. When I felt her tap, I pretended to be de-ep asleep but she continuously hit me to ensure I woke up. Babe sit up, I nee-d to talk to you “she said”. Can’t this wait till later plea-se “I replied”. Hmmmm okay if you say so ” she k!$$£d me and went back to sleep”.

At 6:00am she had set breakfast on the dinning, your food is set babe and aren’t you going to work today? “She asked”. Babe, guess I had told you I was quitting my job so why taking me back throu-gh this discussion? Less I forget, what did you discuss with Bunmi? “I asked inquisitively”. She told you we spoke? Wow, anyways I only appealed to her that she should overlook your reactions and not terminate your job because we sincerely nee-d funds at this point ” she said”. Was that all you both discussed “I asked furiously” Yes of course! Did she say otherwise? “My wife replied”.

No! She didn’t! I got more scared to eat breakfast because I suspected my wife might have watched the video but she is only pretentious and feigning ignorance. I carried my wife on my l@p and ensured I fed her first, watching her closely if anything will happen to her, finally I ate when I noticed she was normal. What kind of a meaningless life am I living ” I said to myself”.

At 7am I drove down to the office to meet Bunmi, to plead with her not to s£nd the video to my wife as she claimed she had s£nt it. Good morning Bunmi “I greeted with a slight bow”. Good morning on time Mr handsome and another time Mr Arrogance of the Universe ” she replied sarcastically. Bunmi this is too early, I c@m£ to apologise for the way I spoke to you, its not intentional, it was because it was affecting my marriage I nee-ded to take caution.

Oh really, so you value that thing you call a wife more than I? “She said”. Hold it right there I take exception to that, talk to me how ever you feel, plea-se and plea-se don’t ever involve my wife again in any of these conversation ” Bayo said “. And if I do, what will happen? “Bunmi dared”. I thought you will change but you are just too puffy, I certainly must s£nd your S-xual videos to your wife today unfailing “she said angrily”.

This isn’t fair bu-mni, blackmailing me was never p@rt of our deal, I have met all the conditions of our terms including slee-ping with you on a roaster and depriving my young wife her rights on some of these occasions ” Bayo knelt down begging and crying”. And who cares about that? “She yelled”.

I care, yes I care “Bayo’s wife opened the door and responded”. Bayo and Bunmi where surprisingly electrocuted, as they both couldn’t alter a word. Oooohhhh you are surprised? Wonderful, I decided to do an extra work the day Bayo c@m£ hope narrating how you gave him an interview link and how he ended up finding out you where the CEO.

There is nothing to worry about as the video won’t make any difference “Bayo’s wife said and fli-pped a diary titled A TALE OF BAYO AND BUNMI”. My husband had written a nolly wood movie with your S-xual escapades beginning from how you abducted, humiliated, S-xually extorted, disrespected me and even blackmailed him. ” She said “. Babe where did you find this? “Bayo asked”. Not to worry that’s the story for another day, officer arrest them “She called in the police”.

Bayo and Bunmi was remanded in prison for two months, finally Bayo was asked to pay a fine of 2 millionaira for faking his kidnap with his mistress, which his solicitor argued that he was un-der duress as video evidences from Bunmi shows that he really wanted to go back home at all cost. While Bunmi was s£ntenced to 21years imprisonment with ha-rd labour.

The devil doesn’t give out a gift without expecting to take a pound of flesh from you, not everyone would be lucky to have a wife as that of Bayo who has a large heart to forgive, the reverse would have been the case as Bayo would have lost his marriage, lost his job and also lose his mistress.

No matter how enticing the offer is, never have a r0m@nç£with the devil…
The end
