EPISODE 14

Take 2

Besides, if I confess to the president, my life will be at stake. He added.

Well Mr Arthur, I can’t hide to be your daughter, neither can you hide to be my father.
There shouldn’t be any secrecy in parenting, so if you choose to hide, then you will forever walk alone.

Until you resign from that bribe-d position and confess to the whole world that I am your daughter, you cannot father me.
If you don’t mind, I will like to take my leave. I stated and got up.

Brenda plea-se don’t walk out on me! plea-se don’t go! You are my only hope, I can’t forever live to be single without a wife nor a child. He pleaded.

Where was your conscience when you were trading me for a ministerial position? Where? I asked angrily.

I didn’t trade you Brenda, I only wanted to gather as-sets for you. He responded.

Well, you’ve fathered enough, and you must step down!
Just look at how messy this country is, each and every one is busy being selfish!

You bec@m£ a minister because you wanted to gather enough as-set for your supposed daughter, whereas there are others on the streets who queued in the scorching sun to vote for you to at least, provide them food.
Mr Arthur, clean the mess and when you are done, come and as-sume your comfortable role as my father. I lamented and walked out on him.

I didn’t even know where I was going. I quic-kly remembered to call Abr@m for help.

Hello Abr@m, my life is in a mess now, those who were after your life, is after mine as well. Can you plea-se help me with a place to stay? I asked.

Why not Brenda? The money you gave my fiancee and I has yielded fruits, and we’ve been able to open two wholesale plastic shops.
plea-se feel free and come to us. He narrated happily.

Alright Abr@m, I will travel there tomorrow. I responded.

I can’t leave this City today, I have to visit Kojo in the prison to tell him what has been happening. I thought.

I diverted my route to the prison yard to visit Kojo.
I’m happy to see you Brenda, how are you? He inquired.

I am doing great Kojo. Just that, I have been throu-gh a lot lately.
I narrated everything that has happened to me to him.

Brenda, the quest for justice isn’t easy, but I believe with determination, you will sail throu-gh. plea-se don’t give up. He encouraged.

I’ve heard you my brother, but I’m here to inform you that, I will be leaving this City tomorrow. I have found a place where I want to start life all over again. I narrated.

No Brenda, plea-se don’t leave me alone. He responded sadly.

Kojo, if I don’t leave, I might not survive to free you from this place someday. plea-se un-derstand me. I pleaded.

I have a plan, my fiancee is occu-pying a three be-droom ap@rtment, and I can talk to her to accommod@t£ you. He suggested.

Wow Kojo, you never told me you had a fiancee. Anyway, I’m happy for you, but I still insist on leaving this City.
I promise to check on you months later. I responded.

If you say so Brenda, anyway sorry for not informing you about my fiancee. He apologized.
I wish you the very best of everything you do. May God be with you wherever you go. He blessed.

Eheh Brenda, less I forget, Damfo is in this same prison with me ooo. He was brou-ght here, last week. He added.

You don’t say! What happened? I thought he said he was getting married to Richlove, so what happened? I exclaimed in shock.

Getting married indeed.
He told me that, he fell in love with Richlove after ma-king series of love with her in the house.

He also told me how Richlove killed his wife out of jealousy.
He said after his wife died, Richlove st©pped slee-ping with him.
Few weeks later, Richlove brou-ght another man into the house.

One evening, he confronted Richlove over the new man she brou-ght into the house.

Richlove, who was that man you brou-ght into this house today? He inquired.

And who the fv¢king hell are you to question me over who I bring into this house? Richlove responded.

Richlove, answer my question, who was that man? Damfo inquired.

He is my fiance, the man I’ve decided to marry. Richlove responded bluntly.

VOICE FOR THE POOR… SEASON TWO
EPISODE 15

He is my fiance, the man I’ve decided to marry. Richlove responded bluntly.

The man you have decided to marry? Is that why you’ve not been slee-ping with me any longer? Richlove, don’t tell me you brou-ght this man into this house this afternoon to have S-x with him. Damfo expressed his disappointment.

Exactly gateman! We just finished several rounds of S-x! Richlove responded bluntly.

Eeeeeeeeeeeiiiiiii Richlove, you call me a gateman? After sacrificing my wife for this relationsh!p? Damfo exclaimed in tears and pain.

Ain’t you a gateman? Why do you have to take offence to that?
And did you think my father will stoop low for a poor person like you to marry her rich daughter? You lie bad!

And as for your wife, I murdered her to teach you some bitter lessons of cutting her coat according to her size, in case she is reincarnated. Richlove insulted.

Out of pain, Damfo sl@pped Richlove ha-rd on the face and she fell down.
She screamed in pain until her personal guard entered the room. They f0rç£fully dragged Damfo to the police station.

The day he was arranged before court, Richlove told the court that, Damfo tried to r@p£ her, and when she resisted, he pounced on her and beat her up.

No amount of words could set Damfo free, and eventually, they jailed him for 50 years for attempting to r@p£ the president’s daughter throu-gh as-sault. Kojo narrated.

Wonders shall never end Kojo! how could Damfo fall a victim for Richlove’s flatteries.
I was surprised at how he looked on for his wife to be murdered, all in the name of wanting to marry Richlove.
Anyway, Karma is not a myth, it is an undenied reality. I responded.

Like we’ve discussed earlier Kojo, I will be here in few months time, and don’t forget that, I am still working ha-rd to be your mouthpiece, and that of the voiceless. I as-sured and left there.

The next morning, I traveled to Abr@m and the fiancee.
They were so happy to see me.

Welcome Brenda, we are more than happy to see you. Abr@m welcomed happily.

We exchanged plea-santries and proceeded to main issues.

Brenda, I’m glad you are here finally. My fiancee Nhyira and I will like you to tell us who exactly you are, and why you have chos£n to help others. Abr@m inquired.

Abr@m, ever since I grew up, it has always been my wish to see everyone get better.
I am a secondary school graduate from a low income background who wishes to make this world a better place.

The money I gave you and Nhyira was the ransome paid to as-sas-sins to take over your life. I responded smartly.

How did you know about it? And how did you get the money? Nhyira asked.

The mess£nger was my friend and he confided in me.
Unfortunately, because he refused to get you killed, he is currently in prison. I lied.

What! Someone in prison because of us? Blood of Jesus! Nhyira exclaimed.

Don’t worry Nhyira, I am doing everything humanly possible to get him out of prison.
What I nee-d now is a job to get some little money that can take me throu-gh school to study law. I sincerely want to be his lawyer. I narrated.

That sounds great Brenda, but fortunately, Nhyira and I have got more than enough money to reciprocate your kindness.
I will like to be the sponsor of your education. Abr@m proposed.

This sound marvellous Abr@m, but unfortunately, I don’t nee-d such a hvge offer.
I will like you to use that money to cater for the disabled. The only favor I nee-d from you is to employ me as one of your sales persons and pay me at the end of every month, and I promise to utilize it probably by taking myself throu-gh school. I responded.

Really? Brenda, I’m shocked by your words. Do you mean it? Nhyira exclaimed.

Yes Nhyira, the only favor I nee-d is a job and a roof over my head. I repeated.

Hmmmm Brenda, I’m speechless, but if that is your wish, consider it done.
Like I pay my workers, you will be paid 500 cedis at the end of every month, and as you can see, this is a five be-droom ap@rtment, I will give you one of the rooms to stay. Abr@m responded.

Thanks a million Abr@m, God bless you both. I responded happily.
