Evie gulped in nervously on seeing her. She has never seen her sister like this, there’s no way the person she was seeing right now was her sister.
“June…”
“You devil! What did I tell you?!” June yelled walking towards her, and that got Evie stepping backwards at every step she took forward, till her back hit the wall.
“I just knew you were gonna get out Evie, that’s why I warned you never to hurt that family ever again. But as stubborn and evil as you’ve always been, you dare to kill the only man I’ve ever loved!!! How could you!!!” She yelled and Evie flinched.
“June… Listen to–”
“Shut up!!!” June yelled with tears rolling down her eyes.
Evie swallowed hard, she was standing just a feet away from her.
“I warned you Evie! I warned you! But still you killed him!” June yelled on her face, grabbing her neck.
“Arghh!” Evie grunted as she tried to free herself from her grasp, and when she finally did, she was coughing so hard.
“You devil.” June dragged her hair this time time around and Evie yelped as her scalp was hurting.
“Let go of me June! I don’t wanna hurt you!” Evie shouted, as she tried to free herself.
“Hurt me! Isn’t that what you’re good at?? Hurting people??” June asked and Evie clenched her jaws as she kept trying to remove June’s hand from her hair.
“Go ahead Evie! I’m not scared of you!” She shouted and Evie pushed her forcefully, and brought out her gun immediately, pointing it at her.
“Do not come any closer!” Evie instructed as she pointed her the gun and June scoffed, wiping her tears.
“Seems you didn’t hear. I said I’m bit afraid of you! Do your worst Evie!” She said and Evie pulled the trigger and it met with her right shoulder.
June groaned in pains falling on a table. She chuckled.
“You really did pulled the trigger.” She muttered and Evie scoffed, putting down the gun.
“Shut up and let’s talk with cool minds! I’m your elder sister!” Evie yelled and she walked towards.
June kept groaning slowly in pains as she held her shoulders when her eyes caught with the little pen knife on the floor.
She looked at it and looked back at Evie was kept on advancing towards her.
“I agreed I kílled the man you love! But do you think I ever wanted to kíll him! I never wanted to hurt my sister but the dickhead was stepping on my toes and you know me June! I lose it quickly…” Evie said and turned around, such that her back was now on June.
June slowly bent down in pains and picked up the knife. She looked at it and back at Evie who still had her back on her.
“So I had to shoot him. He’s pest, he had to díe for his sister! I didn’t do it because–” The rest of her words got stuck in her throat the moment she turned around and June stabbed her chest immediately.
“Arghh!” Evie yelped in pains and made to use her gun but June was smart enough to hold her other hand which had the gun so she kept on shooting the wall.
She stabbed her again in the same place and Evie screamed in pain.
“Juneee!!!!!”
“That’s for taking my first love away from me forever!!” June shouted in tears.
Her eyes held no remorse as she kept stabbing Evie repeatedly, and as she stabbed her, Evie kept shooting the wall till she ran out of bullet and she fell to the ground, bleeding profusely.
Her jaw shook as she tried forming a word but couldn’t, till she breath her last.
Splashes of blood already filled June’s face as she watched her díed. The knife fell from her hand.
June sat on the floor hugging her knees as she cried loudly. Her hands were bloody.
Jeffrey suddenly rushed into the place and he gasped seeing the sight. Evie laying lifelessly in the pool of her own blood and June crying at one end with blood in her hands and face.
He actually followed her but then, on his way, he lost her so it took him alot of time to find her.
“June??”

“Are you sure they won’t be upset on seeing me?” Alecia asked for the umpteenth time as they waited for Leroy’s parents to come downstairs.
They were currently in their house, actually his parents sent for them.
“C’mon, trust me Alecia. They won’t do anything of that sort.” Leroy assured and she only nodded.
She was really scared. Leroy noticed this and he placed his hand on hers, flashing her a reassuring smile.
She exhaled and faced the stairs.
Mr and Mrs Hewitt descended the stairs together.
“Leroy!” His mom called rushing to his embrace.
“Mom.” Leroy replied, receiving her warmly.
Alecia just watched quietly with a smile.
“How are you doing son?” She asked cupping his cheeks.
“I’m fine mom, and you?” He asked and she nodded.
“If you’re fine then I’m fine.” She said and they both chuckled.
“Welcome son.” Mr Hewitt said and they both had a manly hug.
Mrs Hewitt suddenly turned to Alecia with a smile.
“Hey, how’re you doing?” She asked and Alecia blinked her eyes.
“Me??” She asked and Mrs Hewitt nodded with a smile.
“Oh… I’m fine! I’m fine.” Alecia nodded with a smile. Of course, she was super excited at the warm reception.
“C’mon, let’s have dinner together.” Mrs Hewitt offered and she nodded.
“Sure ma’am.”
“Mom, call me mom. We’re family after all.” She said and Alecia looked at Leroy who winked at her, then she looked back at Mrs Hewitt.
“Sure… Mom.” She muttered the last word and Mrs Hewitt smiled.
“Very good.”
Few minutes later…
The four could be seen seated on the dining table, having their dinner together.
“Uhm, Alecia I wanna take this time to apologize to you for how I treated you. I’m sincerely sorry.” Mrs Hewitt said and Alecia smiled.
“It’s alright ma’am.” She said.
“We’re sorry Alecia. We apologize for what Glenys did to you and also for humiliating you.” Mr Hewitt said and she smiled.
“It’s really fine sir. I mean, any parents would do the same and you two were only looking out for your son so it’s fine.” She said and they smiled.
“You’re so sweet. I love you.” Mrs Hewitt.
“Nah, nah nah… She’s mine mom. Love your husband.” Leroy said.
“Hear that? Such a possessive husband.” Mrs Hewitt rolled her eyes and they laughed.
“How’s our baby doing?” She asked and Alecia smiled, touching her baby bump. It was slowly coming up, tho it’s still very little.
“He’s kicking just fine.” Alecia said and they smiled.
“I know right. I can’t wait for him to come down to earth, what name should I give him?” Mrs Hewitt asked.
“I think Iris is the best!” Mr Hewitt suggested.
“Oldie! Who said it’s a girl?” Mrs Hewitt retorted.
“Of course, it’s gonna be a girl. I want my first grandchild to be a girl!” He said.
“No way! It’s a boy!”
“It’s a girl!”
“I said it’s a boy!”
“A girl!”
“Boy!!!” They bantered on and Alecia and Leroy laughed, watching them fondly.
Alecia chuckled. She was so happy they finally accepted her their daughter in-law. They were one cool family she’s ever met.
A smile appeared on her face at the thought of it. Then she looked at Leroy who was looking back at her with a smile.
That charming smile which she fell for. She was happy she crossed path with him. She was happy she agreed to marry him the very day he asked. He was the best decision she’s made so far in her life.
Every moment with him has been the best. They were indeed made for each other and no one could ever separate them, not even Glenys.
Speaking of Glenys, she got arrested for kidnapping and has been sentenced to ten years imprisonment. They finally had a happily ever after in their love story.
She thought with a smile, still gazing at Leroy.
“I said it’s a boy!!!”
“It’s a girl!”
“Let’s ask them… Kids! What do you think is the gender of the child?” Mrs Hewitt asked and they turned to her.
“Huh?”
“Ermm…”
“Yahh!!! (Hey!)” Someone suddenly screamed in Korean and they all turned to see Stella, Leroy’s sister.
“Omma!(Mom!) Appa!(Dad!)” She called and Mrs Hewitt gritted.
“That brat! She finally decided to return home.” She said underneath her breath as Stella walked to them.
“You guys are having a party without me? Jinja?? (Really??)” She asked and Mrs Hewitt stood up from her seat.
“You brat! I thought you’re now a citizen of Korea! Why are you back?!” Her mom yelled, grabbing her hair and she cried.
“Yah! Omma!! Apha!! (It hurts!!) Yahh!!!” Stella cried as Mrs Hewitt scolded her while yanking her hair and the rest laughed.

Valerie chuckled sadly as she read through Fawn’s chat. He was actually her bestie she’s been planning to meet with.
She didn’t get to meet him once before he left. She thought, blinking her teary eyes.
“Yunno, you’re really wicked Fawn! How can you just leave without saying goodbye. And you claim to love me, how can I live without you Fawn. You’re my strength. My backbone.” She said and the tears rolled down her eyes.
“I want to hate you for this, but I can’t. I love you kid bro, it’s hard to say goodbye. It’s really hard… Why do you have to díe Fawn?” She cried.
The door suddenly opened and Jeffrey walked in. He sighed on seeing her crying on her bed, and he slowly walked to her.
“Are you sure you’re ready to see him in this state?” He asked and she only sobbed and Jeffrey pulled her to a hug.
“Please don’t cry. I’m sure Fawn will not be happy seeing you sulk like this, so please stop crying.” He said stroking her eyes as she wet his shirt.

June could be seen in front of Fawn’s grave with a bouquet of flowers, with Ashley beside her.
Since he was buried, she hadn’t paid him a visit, coz she was still finding it hard to believe that he was gone for real.
She finally decided to come see him today, with Ashley accompanying her.
“Hey Fawn. Look who’s here.” She muttered with a sad smile, sniffing.
“So I finally showed up.” She chuckled, rubbing her nose.
“How are you doing there? Are you eating well? Are being treated fine over there?” She asked with a chuckle.
“You really left me alone in this cruel world. You left our love story incomplete. It hurts…” She muttered staring at his name inscribed on the stone and she chuckled.
“I never believed we’ll be saying goodbye so soon Fawn. I… never got to hear you say you love me…” She chuckled as a tear rolled down her eyes.
“I wish I can turn back the hands of clock. You didn’t deserve to díe at all. You’re the sweetest human being I’ve ever met, I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to stop loving you Fawn… Never…”
She muttered.
“That’s why I’ll be leaving Australia. I don’t think I’ll be able to stay here with the memories of you around me, so I’ve decided to leave to this country to a different place and start up a new life. Although, the memories I shared with you are the best… I’m sure I can ever forget it, I’m not sure I can get over your death, but like you said… I’ll try to move on Fawn. But it’s difficult without you here. Why do you have to leave??” She cried and Ashley held her shoulder.
“June–”
“Didn’t you think of me for a second?!” She suddenly yelled as the tears kept rolling down her eyes and Ashley pulled her to a hug, as that was what she needed at that point.
“Why didn’t he think of me for a minute? Why didn’t he consider my feelings!!” She yelled in Ashley’s arms.
“June…” Someone suddenly called and June looked up to see Valerie.
“Sis.” She called rushing to Valerie’s embrace.
Few minutes later…
Jeffrey, Valerie, Ashley and June were currently outside the cemetery, in front of Jeffrey’s car.
“I’ve already made up my mind sis. I’m leaving Australia next week. I’m gonna start a new life in America. That’s the only way I can move on from Fawn’s death. I love you all. But I have to leave.” June said and Valerie nodded.
“It’s alright June. I understand. It’s difficult for you as well, and you’ve made a right decision. I hope you can put your life together over there.” She said and June nodded and the two hugged each other.
So as June kílled Evie, she was arrested at first but her mom bailed her, stating she never wanted the police to get involved with their family matters.
Valerie was happy that she’s out if their life, but then she had to exchange her brother for it.
The path of revenge is tough. At some point, we might have to give up that which we love most for the purpose of revenge…

EPILOGUE 💞
The beautiful family photo frame hanging on the walls in the large living room, was an evidence of a happy home.
Valerie could be seen standing in front of the gallery, with Fawn’s photo in her hand. She was smiling as she stared at it.
“Mom!!!” A tiny female voice suddenly squealed from behind and she turned around to see the her cute little princess, standing there with a sweet gummy smile.
Her hair was packed in two ponytails, giving her that baby girl look. She had a small round eyes and a small pouty pink lips. Looking closely at her, one could see she possessed a striking resemblance as Fawn.
“Fawn!!” Valerie called and her smiled increased as she ran into her mom’s arms, hugging her tightly whilst giggling.
“I missed you mom.” She said and Valerie chuckled.
“I just left you for not less than five minutes.” She said and Fawn pouted.
Yeah, she was answering Fawn. 🌝
“Even if, it feels like eternity.” She muoued and they both giggled.
“I love you so much mum. That’s why. Every minute without you feels like eternity to me.” She said hugging her again and Valerie smiled as she stroked her hair.
“I love you too baby.” She said and Fawn pecked her cheek. She giggled and pecked her back. And they both began pecking each other whilst giggling till someone cleared their throat and they both looked up to see Alex and Jeffrey
“Dad!” Fawn called and Jeffrey rolled his eyes.
They were looking all dressed up as if they were heading somewhere, and they had their luggages with them.
“When last did you give me a peck?” Jeffrey asked Fawn who looked her right, then her left.
“This morning.” She muttered, awaiting his eruption.
“Yah! Your little punk! You’ve never even hugged me, talk more of a peck!”
“Dad, you’re exaggerating–”
“Me too. Even mom, she only loves Fawn, acting as if I and dad aren’t part of the family.” Alex said with a huff, feigning anger.
“Exactly.” Jeffrey affirmed and Fawn slapped her forehead, dramatically.
“Dad, let’s elope living this two here.” Alex suggested and Jeffrey nodded.
“Yes! We’ll leave them here and go somewhere far.” He said.
“When are you guys leaving?” Fawn asked, in her tiny voice and the two looked at her.
“I wanna know when you guys are leaving.”
“You little brat!” Alex gritted.
“As if you’re not worst.” Fawn bashed.
“Seriously? I’m your elder brother for goodness sake.” Alex yelled.
“Elder brother my foot!” They bantered and Valerie chuckled watching them.
Jeffrey walked towards her and crossed his hand on Valerie’s neck.
“They’re a big deal to handle, why don’t we run away instead.” He said and she chuckled.
“Sure.” She said and the two began tiptoeing out of the house.
“Mom! Dad! Where are you guys going?” Fawn yelled.
“I thought we’re going to see grandparents.” Alex said – Jeffrey and Valerie exchanged glances.
“Well… Actually…”
“Are you two planning to leave without us?” Fawn asked and they chuckled.
“No, we–”
“Geez! First to get to the car!!!” Fawn screamed and she began running out with Alex to the car.
Valerie laughed.
“They’re cute.” She said and Jeffrey nodded.
“I know. The best thing that has ever happened in my life.” Jeffrey said and she smiled.
“Let’s go.” He nudged and she nodded.
“Sure let’s go.” She said and Jeffrey nodded and the two began walking out of the house.
Valerie suddenly stopped and looked back at Fawn’s pic.
“See that Fawn. Fawn is just like you, she’s always on Alex’s neck just the same way you’ve always been with me. She even looks a lot like you… Tell me, did you come back as my daughter?” She asked with a chuckle.
“Mom!!!” Fawn’s little voice came on and she chuckled.
“I have to go meet your reincarnate, bye Fawn!” She said with a smile and rushed out.
“What kept you so long mom?” Fawn questioned immediately she sat in car.
“What are you now? An interrogator? Should mom explain everything little thing to you?” Alex questioned.
“Hey Mr poke noser, I wasn’t talking to you. Let mom answer me, she got her mouth!” Fawn retorted.
“I won’t stop talking coz I’ve got my mouth, so please keep quiet miss interrogator, your voice sounds like a siren which I don’t wanna hear!”
“How dare you refer my melodious voice as siren?!”
“Hey you two!, That’s enough!” Valerie said.
“Mom, did you hear that? He just compared my voice to a siren!” Fawn cried.
“C’mon baby, don’t cry. Of course you know you’ve got a beautiful voice.” Valerie said, looking at her.
She was actually sitting at the front with Jeffrey who was driving while the kids were at the back.
“Mom, you were the one who taught me not to lie. Why are you doing it right now?” Alex asked, blinking his eyes innocently.
“You monkey! How dare you?” Fawn yelled dragging Alex hair, and Alex held hers as well. The two began dragging each other’s hair.
“Hey you two stop it!! Hey! Jeffrey do something!” She said and Jeffrey immediately picked up his airpods on the dashboard and inserted it in his ears and began nodding his head while he drove.
Seriously??
“Ouch! My hair!”
“Ahh! Mommy!”
“Let go of me!”
“Ahh!”
Valerie looked from Jeffrey to the kids, then she brought out her headphone from her bag then she wore it on her head, blocking her ears.
Jeffrey looked at her and the two laughed while the kids kept fighting.
