“Evie??” She muttered and she could hear her chuckle from the other side.
“Surprised to hear my voice??” She chuckled.
“I told you Madison. The game is not over until I say it is.” Evie said and then it dawn on her that it was actually true.
She was back. How come? How did she get away from jail? It’s barely two weeks she got arrested.
She wondered.
She had to go home asap, she knows Evie very much. As she was out, she was gonna make sure she had her revenge. And by doing so, she might try to hurt her family… She was just thinking not knowing it was already taking it’s cause.
“Guess where I am right now.” Evie’s mischievous voice brought her back to earth.
Valerie exhaled, clenching her hand on her phone. Evie chuckled.
“I’m sure you can’t guess. Don’t worry, I’ll help you with that… I’m at your house right now, having a cool conversation with your parents–”
“What!”
Evie giggled.
“Yes, I’m sure you weren’t expecting that.” She chuckled.
“Don’t you dare do anything silly Evie, don’t!” Valerie threatened and Evie chuckled.
“I’ve not even done anything, you’re complaining, what if I start now-”
“Evie!”
“Calm down bestie, I’m not doing anything just get your silly àss here!” Evie yelled and Valerie gritted.
“You don’t believe me, okay watch this…” Evie said and switched to a video call.
“Hi.” Evie waved at her, with a pistol in her hand and Valerie’s eyes widened on seeing the gun.
Evie smirked seeing that look on her face and turned the camera to her parents.
They were sitting on the couch, staring at Evie and immediately they saw Valerie on the phone screen, they feigned a smile.
Heaven knows how much they were scared, yet they couldn’t do anything. Even tho they tried to hide that fear with a smile, Valerie could see through it.
“They’re very obedient, so I won’t hurt them until you arrive here, but if you try to act smart with me, I won’t hesitate to kíll one of them.” Evie threatened and Valerie shook her head.
“Don’t!” She shouted and Evie chuckled.
“I won’t if you only you do what I say.” She said, sitting beside Aurora who gulped, shifting on her seat.
“Get back here in 2 hours or else you will be loosing one of them.” She instructed in a stern voice, all the smile on her face disappeared immediately.

Valerie rushed out of the room, wiping her tears as she ran. She bumped into Jeffrey on her way.
“Madison!” Jeffrey called worriedly, holding her in his arms.
“Theo, let’s get out of here! Evie is back and she has my parents hostage.” She told him and Jeffrey nodded.
“I already know, the police called me.” He said and she cried.
“Let’s go Theo. Please.” She said and Jeffrey nodded.
“Lemme get Alex.” Jeffrey said and rushed out, while Madison paced worriedly.

“What!” Leroy sprung on his feet immediately they broke the news to him.
“What do you mean by my wife has been kidnapped?!” He yelled at the guard.
“We’re sorry boss. We couldn’t find her, we only met Keith’s corpse.” He said and Leroy dipped his hands into his hair in frustration.
Only one name rung in his head. Glenys!
He was sure it was her handiwork. She was the only that could do such thing. He knew she was gonna do this someday, that was why he had a tracker on Alecia.
He opened his drawer and brought out a flash drive which he threw at him.
“Track her location and inform me.” He said and walked out of the office, getting into his car.
“If anything happens to Alecia, I swear I’m gonna kîll Glenys.” He sworn hatefully.

SPLASH!!!
Alecia gasped, jolting from her deep sleep as the chilled water fell on her.
She slowly opened her eyes, her gaze was blurry at first before it began getting clearer and her gaze met with that of Glenys’.
Glenys smirked.
“Bítch! Why have you brought me here?!” Alecia growled, wriggling her hand around the ropes.
“Still acting tough?” Glenys asked walking towards her, then she squatted before Alecia who was glaring at her.
“You bítch!, You stole my man from me.” She yelled at her.
Alecia chuckled.
“Haven’t you heard, you throw something someone capable of handling picks it up.” She said with a smirk dancing on her lips.
“You threw Leroy’s heart and I found it, and it became mine. You don’t deserve him, at all coz you’re a scum! A betrayal, you don’t deserve someone like Leroy–”
A resounding slap followed, shutting Alecia up.
“How dare you say that shit?” She yelled, wrapping her hand around her neck strangling her.
Alecia chuckled in her hold.
“I… Don’t… Care… What… You… Do, it won’t change… The fact… that… Leroy… Is… Mine…” She stuttered and Glenys pushed her head.
Alecia coughed.
Glenys suddenly chortle, slowly it turned into a giggle, and then it turned into a full fledged laughter.
“I won’t banter words with a lowlife like you. Trust me I’ll make Leroy sign the divorce paper with you and get married to him. I’ll end you Alecia.” She said and Alecia smirked.
“I’ll love to see you try.” She said and Glenys smiled as well.
“I love your guts.” She said with a smirk which disappeared immediately.
She glared at her before walking out of the room.
“Make sure she doesn’t escape.” She instructed the guards at the door who nodded.
“Yes boss.”
The smile on Alecia’s face fell the moment Glenys left the room.
She was very scared, she wouldn’t lie. But then, giving Glenys the impression that she was, is the last thing on her mind.
She sighed, wriggling her hand on the ropes. Her whole body ached in pain.
“Where are you Leroy?” She muttered and her stomach growled.
Those devils will never give her something to eat. If she doesn’t die by Glenys hand, she was surely gonna die by hunger.
“Come quick Leroy.” She muttered, as tears slowly welled up in her eyes.

Fawn and June walked silently in the quiet street. It was night and all lamplight was turned on, shedding path in the street.
June kept stealing glances at Fawn as they walked. She was really nervous, she didn’t even know what to say to him.
He kissed her.
Why would he do that? Was it because he loved her??
She couldn’t help the butterflies in her stomach at that thought.
“I know I’m handsome, but you should just compliment me, rather than digging holes on my skin with your eyes.” He said and June gasped.
“Huh?… Handsome?” She scoffed.
“You’re not. I wasn’t even looking at you.” She defended herself and Fawn stopped walking and turned to her.
“Really? What were you staring at?” He asked and she bit her lips looking around not knowing what to say.
“I was… There… I was looking at that light! Isn’t it beautiful?” She asked and Fawn chuckled looking at the light bulb she was pointing at.
June bowed her head in embarrassment and began walking hastily out of his sight.
“Yah! Wait for me!” He said and began walking to her, then she ran and he chased after her with the two giggling.

Evie looked at her wristwatch, and curled her lips. She began playing with the gun in her hand, trailing her fingers on it.
Her eyes darted to Valerie’s parents and she could see the fear in their eyes.
She chuckled.
“C’mon, you don’t have to be scared. I don’t bite, at least not innocent people.” She smirked.
“What do you want from us? What do you want from my daughter? Why don’t you want to have a peaceful life??” Albert asked and Evie laughed.
“Peaceful life? Really?” She laughed again.
“She doesn’t deserve it. She’s gonna pay for humiliating me. For stepping on me. Your daughter will pay for it. Don’t worry, I have no issues with you guys, so I’m not hurting any of you.” She smiled at them and Aurora gritted.
“You’re evil! You deprived my daughter of the right of living with her child for years. You broke the bond of parent and child! You stole her love! Haven’t you done enough? Why can’t you let my daughter have peace of mind?!” She yelled in tears and Evie smirked.
“She doesn’t deserve it. She betrayed me, and I must make her pay. If I were you, I’d sit quietly otherwise you want me to waste my bullets on you.” Evie glared.
“You’re evil! I don’t care if you kîll me for it! I’ll say it! You’re wicked! I curse the day you came into the world! I course your existence in this world! You will never find peace so long you live… You’ll pay for robbing this family of sleep! You’ll–” Evie immediately cracked her gun and was about pulling the trigger, but she stopped.
“No! I’m not kílling you now, until Valerie gets here.” Evie sighed and Aurora looked at her as tears rolled down her cheeks.
“Let’s call the betrayal of a friend.” Evie said, unlocking her phone.

“Please drive faster!” Valerie said to the driver who nodded and increased his speed.
She pressed her lips, clenching her fist together, trying to ease her worry.
She checked her time, 30 minutes left. Jeffrey placed a hand on her shoulder and she looked at him, he gave her an assuring stare and she hugged him softly as he was carrying Alex who was sleeping.
“Nothing will happen to your parents, okay.” He tried to pacify her, and she only nodded her head, but she was really scared.
Her phone suddenly rang and she picked it up immediately she saw it was the number which called her earlier.
“Evie…”
“Where the hell are you? Do you know the consequences of coming late?” She asked and Valerie nodded helplessly.
“Please Evie. Don’t do anything. I’m almost there.” She said.
“Stay connected. Do not end this call.” Evie said authoritatively.
Valerie sighed dropping the phone from her ears.
Jeffrey took the phone from her.
“Evie–”
“Shut up! I don’t wanna hear your annoying voice.” Evie said and ended the call.
The car suddenly stopped and they both looked up. They hadn’t arrived at their destination, so why did he stop??
“What happened?” Jeffrey asked.
“I don’t know sir. I think the car suddenly broke down.” He said.
“What!! Why would you get into the road knowing fully well that your car isn’t in a perfect condition!” She yelled.
“I didn’t know ma–”
She got down from the car immediately, and began looking for a cab but it appears heaven was against her that day as she couldn’t find any cab.
“Damnit!” She yelled in frustration. She said and connected her airpod to her phone, then she called Evie this time.
Even tho she had tried to deny it, she really loves her parents and losing them was the last thing on her mind.
She was thankful Fawn wasn’t home.
“Calm down Valerie, will get a cab–”
“We don’t have any f**king time Jeffrey! It’s my family we’re talking about here!” She shouted at him, and began running away.
“Valerie!” Jeffrey yelled as he tried to run after her with Alex in his arms.

The smile on Fawn’s face disappeared the moment he walked into the house.
Evie was dragging Aurora’s hair and his dad was on the floor bleeding from his head.
“Mom! Dad!” She yelled and rushed to push Evie off her.
“How dare you touch my parents?!” He yelled, hugging his mom and Evie smirked.
“I guess you’re Madison’s brother, the resemblance is there. But that’s not my business, get the hell out of my way!” She warned vehemently.
“I’m not! You bítch that ruined my sister’s life!” He yelled at her.
“Madison, you should talk to your dear brother right now, otherwise I might break the promise not to hurt any of your family member till you arrive here.” She said, touching the earbud on her ear.
She returned her gaze to her him.
“Get out of my way.”
“No! I won’t!” He said stubbornly and Evie exhaled, trying to keep her calm.
“You failed Evie. You ruined my sister’s life before, I won’t let you again. If you have to get through my family, then you must go through me fess.” He said boldly, glaring at her and Evie chuckled.
She was a short temperamental person and he was seriously stepping on her toes, it was difficult keeping her anger in check.
She was avoiding using this gun on him but he was making it hard for her to do so.
She pushed Fawn and he fell, hitting his head on the table.
“Fawn!” His mom shouted.
Evie smirked before taking her gaze to Aurora.
“I asked you to take back that curse right now.” She said and Aurora shook her head walking backwards.
Fawn held his head in pains, looking at Evie. He tried to stand up but his dad held him.
“Fawn…” He called, and he only nodded as he stood up, walking towards Evie.
Just then, Evie turned swiftly and she shot Fawn on his chest.
Everyone’s eyes bulged in surprise.
Even Valerie stopped running as soon as she heard the gunshot.
Fawn staggered back as the bullet went into his chest. His eyes widened and his mouth fell, he wanted to scream in pains but he lost everything strength in him.
His knees wobbled as it met with the cold tiles, his hand clutching on tightly to his chest and his blood spread on the yellow shirt he was wearing.
Evie clenched her jaws as she watched him on the floor.
“No!!! Fawn!!!” Aurora screamed rushing to him.
