The lady that was with him quickly left in shame, Mrs brown observe the surroundings and slowly sat in the chair
“To what do I owe this honorable surprise?” He asked, a Devilish sm-irk lingered on his face
“Alex, did you have any idea of what you have done?” She asked making him sm-irk
“You mean, we having a good time?” He scoffed,” trust me scarlet I will treat you well even more than your husband did,” he said sm-irking
“what is it that you have with me?” She asked, glancing around the office she could see that the place isn’t that bad but there was something off with it
“I have always loved you scarlet but you left me to marry that guy,” he said dejectedly
“You mean pushing me off the stairs was love?” She asked checking his expression

“Cut the act Alex, I have DNA proof besides it’s just the two of us in here,” she cut in
“You have always been smart I wouldn’t be surprised if you find out,” he said, shoulders arched back
Clenching her fist un-der the table she tried as much as possible to calm herself down
“I didn’t mean to do that okay, even ra-ping your daughter! I have been broken after you left years ago and it turns me into something else, that night when you refuse to get in bed with me even with the fact that I disguise as your husband! It pissed me off and I wanted to make you pay, I didn’t do it on purpose but I wouldn’t stop,” He said putting his head in his hands

“It’s been many years, I promise just one night and it will never happen again, we can do it here if you want,” he replied, his heart pounding out of his che-st

“Scarlet, I know you might still be sticking to all those things you said back then in college but I promise to stop just one night,” also standing on his feet, he said, his li-ps trembling

“Give me that,” he yelled going after her, he grabbed her hand and throw her on the table making her fall heavily on it, a slap landed on her right cheek then next was her second check
Hearing the sound from outside, two cops rushed into the place and pulled him away then pinned him down immediately
“Attorney, are you okay?” One of them asked As another person to help her up
“Yeah am fine,” she replied red in the face, cleaning the blood stain In her mouth she get a baseball bat that was at the back of the door
She bashed his head with it taking everyone by surprise, winging it around she landed it on his stomach making a painful groa-n escape from his mouth
“Attorney,” one of the cops called
“Self-defense,” she replied still holding the baseball bat, she swing it around again she bashed his face
“Argh!!” He screamed in agonizing
“Leave him, there is a little girl In there go get her,” she said to them, clenching ti-ghtly in the bat she bashed his face again
He falls back! His face was covered with blood as he gasped for air trying to regain his strength

“Karan, I know you hate me now, but I just want to tell you that mom is awake,” standing in front of Karan Olivia said and pouted
Her face beamed with joy
“That’s good knows, now let me pa-ss!” Turning in her direction Karan said
“Are you going to hate me for the rest of your life? I’m already sad sorry….” Her words were cut short as a student pushed her out of the way and didn’t even bother to apologize
Seeing what just happened, Karan matched to the students in furry, grabbing her hair she pushed it against a wall
“Are,” her crying voice could be heard as the girl hold her head in pain
“Mess with my sister again and I will Fu-ck with you,” she threatened, turning to Olivia she walk past her
“Did she just stand up for me?” Beaming with smiles, Olivia thought silently” that means she doesn’t hate me,” she added jumping up and down

IN THE CAFE*
Lewis was with his friends but he couldn’t stop staring at Karan from time to time
“Hey, go ask her out if you love her, she doesn’t bite,” seeing the way he has been acting one of his friends suggested

“Karan Brown, the first daughter of Mr & Mrs. Brown, she has two siblings a girl and a boy, the ex-boyfriend is Ben the football captain but I don’t think that dude is over her cos the other day I heard him saying someone threatened him to break up with her,” Ian said taking a mouth full of food
“Oh, thanks for the info,” cleaning his hand, lewis said to him and stood going over to Karan
“Hey, am lewis” getting over to her table he offered a handshake
“Can I help you?” Staring at his hand, She asked Instead
“That was rude, I heard you’re very nice why then are you being rude to me! Did I do something wrong? Or you don’t like making friends? Or you……”
“That’s enough,” she cut in, Crossing her arms and making him sm-irk

“I will keep following you even to your house,” seeing that she packing her things to leave, he added
“Fine friends, happy now?” Grabbed her brother’s hand” let’s go Eddy” she added
“Thanks,” he giggled
Getting outside Adam cross his hand around her ne-ck taking her by surprise
“Let go,” she try to break free but he was too strong, she said hitting his hand
“Ouch,” he said and freed her immediately
“You’re looking for who will kill you right?” Hitting his head again, she said
“Em… Yes… and no…” He stammered
Lewis stare at them from where he was watching, gritting his face and clenching his fist ti-ghtly, his veins popped out as anger was written all over him
“What are you doing here and how did you get in here?” She asked with all teeth showing
“I want to…” That was interrupted by a punch
“Ben,” she called as her jaw dropped

COURT*
“In the first degree of ra-pe , how did the defendant plead?” The jury asked
“Guilty your honor,” one of the grand juries replied
“In the third degree of attempted murder, how did the defendant plead?” The jury asked
“Guilty your honor,” another grand jury replied
“In the first degree of a-ssaults and mo-lest ing how did the defendant plead?” The jury asked
“Guilty your honor,” another grand jury replied
“With the charges hold against you Mr. Alexander McDonald’s, I hereby find you as a threat to the society and the people around you, I sentence you to…….”
“Your honor the defendant demand that you set bail for him as it’s his right to be bailed out,” seeing that the jury wasn’t going to take it lightly with Alex his lawyer quickly said
“Objection your honor, we demanded justice,” ban-ging her hand on the desks and standing on her feet, Mrs. Brown said
“No one should interrupt me again if not you both will be held in contempt,” the jury said
“I apologize your honor but my client here wants to be bailed,” Alex’s lawyer said
“Your honor this is outrageous, we demand Justice for those women and children he made their life miserable,” reds in red, Mrs. Brown said
“Your honor my client was beaten by Mrs. Brown here till he lost consciousness even to the extent that he died three times on his way to the hospital, we demand that he be treated like everyone else,” his lawyer demanded
“Your honor are we going to go over this again? There is no place written in the constitution that a person shouldn’t defend themselves when they are being attacked,” turning to the grand jury Mrs. Brown said
“If you’re being attacked in your apartment, would you keep calm and allow the person to kill you? This person in question ra-pe d 13 kids, and 7 women. He pushed a woman off the stairs in her house after he disguise as her husband, now lemme ask you! Did you have kids? Have you seen a ra-pe victim before? What if those children were one of your kids will you allow this man to go out there and hurt another child? ra-ping kids and destroying their future those that make him one of us? Every crime has its own rules, this man attacked those people because he was more powerful than them and now it’s up to you all in this room to decide whether to let him continue hurting innocent people, breaking homes, and putting sadness into our children’s heart or to let him face what he brings upon himself,” pointing to every one of them, Mrs. Brown said with her eyes squinting
Everyone was silent
“In the eyes of the people, how did you find the defendant?” The jury asked
“I find the defendant Guilty,” the first jury said
“I find the defendant Not guilty,” the second jury said
All eyes turn to the third jury waiting for her response
“I find the defendant……….”
