SAME DAY*
Mr. Brown comes out of the airport and went to book a taxi when two cops approach him, he saw them and thought maybe they wanted to ask him something but to his surprise they handcuff him
“What’s this all about?” He asked surprised
“Sir you have every right to remain silent for anything you say will be used against you in the court of law,” one of the cops said
He was silent and they lead him into their car and zoom off, shortly after they arrived at the station
He was dragged into an interrogation room and two cops were sent to interrogate him, after telling him how his children confirmed that he pushed his wife from the stairs and ra-pe d one of his children which his wife confirm
And it also led to the fight he was furious
“Listen, I don’t know what you’re talking about, I went on a business trip in Texas and am just coming back today,” he said
“Me Brown let’s make it easy for all of us, you’re just coming back today and was arrested by my boys,” an investigator asked
“That’s correct” he replied
“How come we captured your footage on the camera?” The investigator asked
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, I love my wife, I will never hit her talk more of pushing her off the stairs am not crazy, I love my kids and am a good father,” he yelled angrily
He doesn’t un-derstand what these people are talking about cos all of it is not making sense to him
“Of course you do,” a female cop said
“I want to see my wife and I need a lawyer,” he said
“Sure, you will need one cos you’ll spend a lot of time in jail,” the female cop replied
“Did you have any idea of who might want to hurt you or your wife?” The investigator asked
“She once told me that her ex from college was hitting on her again, okay I get it… This might sound stupid or like a make-up story but you’ve got to believe me, I love wife,” he said
“Hold on Mr. Brown, who is this person?” The cop asked

“That’s it, I will never hurt my kids, am a good father and I love my family,” he said after narrating the whole story
Another officer came into the room with a laptop, he play a video on it, and Mr. Brown’s face showed on the camera, from when they were eating till when he slapped his wife and she went falling down the stairs
“That’s not me, I can never do that, I love my wife,” he said shaking his head
“Of course, you do that’s why you hit her,” the female cop replied
“Mr. Brown let me make it clear to you, you’re facing two charges, one for mo-lest ing your daughter and the other for hitting a crime fighter, it seems to me that you don’t know the position of your wife,” the investigator said and went closer
“That woman is not just your wife, she’s a crime fighter, I would like it if you tell me another story that I will un-derstand… Now look at this,” he said and play the video again
“You said you love your wife yet you pushed her down the stairs? Is that love?” The investigator asked
Mr. Brown angrily punched his jaw, other cops outside saw that and came rushing in, they pulled him away and handcuffed him
“I love my wife, what’s even your job? You should go out there and find that bastard, he’s the one that pushes her off the stairs not me, what father will I be if I ra-pe my kid? Huh!” Mr. Brown yelled angrily
They locked him there and went out

Adam and the invisible man were still at the school gate when they saw River with a group of boys
“There he is,” the man said pointing at him
Adam waited patiently till River was closer enough, a big smile appear on his face as he approached him with joy
“River, you’re alive…You’re alive, am so happy,” he said and made to hug him but River shift backward
“Who are you?” He asked rudely
“It’s me, Adam, your brother,” he replied
River stares at his friends and then back at the boy in front of him
“Are you crazy?” He asked
“What?” Adam asked surprised
“Did you go about hugging people claiming to be their brothers? Are you that desperate for a brother? Why not go to the foster home and adopt one,” River said rudely
His friends laughed sarcastically
“River it…..”
“Hey stop it with that River bullsh*t, the name is Lewis… And what’s River? Like some ocean wave or something,” he added with a sque-ezed face
“Maybe his father came from the river,” one of River’s friends jokes laughing so ha-rd
Adam couldn’t take it anymore as he rushed out from there with tears in his eyes
He continues running till he gets to the bridge
“He said he will never leave me, he promised… He promised,” Adam said to himself
He stopped running looking at the cars that pa-ss by
“I hate this life, I hate everyone, I hate myself, I just want to die,” he yelled
“Hey, if you want to die go over there, don’t die here cos I don’t want to see anything that will obstruct this beautiful view,” someone said from behind
He turned to see the girl from the school
“You,” He said pointing at her
“Yes me, go over there and die not here, I came here first so don’t make me leave,” the girl replied rudely
“Why is everyone rude?” He asked
“I said you should go over there and die, I didn’t say you can ask questions,” the girl replied
“What if I want to die here, in fact, t I will jump down from here,” he said trying to climb over the bridge
Karan rushed to him and hold his clothes then She start pulling him till they both falls down
“Are you crazy? Did you want to ruin my evening?” She sneered
“What? Why can’t you just allow me to die?” He fired back
“I never said you shouldn’t die, I said you should get over there and die not here, can’t you see that I came here first? Now get going,” she shouted pushing him out
“Am not dying again,” he replied and turn to leave
She went after him
“Where did you think you’re going,” she asked blocking him
“Home,” he replied and shoved her aside
She holds his clothes and starts pulling him back
“What’s this?” He asked staring at her
“Go and die, she replied”
“I said I don’t want to die anymore,” he replied
“It’s a lie you must die, you can’t come and ruin my evening and after ruining it you will still not die, never… You must die,” she said still pulling him
“You can’t for-ce me to do what I don’t want to do,” he said
“Watch me,” she replied trying to push him over the bridge
He gets hold of the rails and holds them ti-ghtly
“This is a suicide mission,” he said
“Am helping a dying brother,” she replied still pushing him
“Fine, I will jump but I will do it myself,” he said
She let go of him and shifted back, seeing that she has given him enough space he took to his heels
“Come back here and die, you wanted to die,” she shouted but he was long gone
“Wait until I see you again, you can’t come and disturb my peace and have yours,” she mumbled
“I can’t even stare at the cars in peace again,” she added

HOSPITAL*
Olivia entered the hospital and went straight to her mother’s ward, Mrs. Brown was still laying there with the life-supporting machine
“Mom,” she called gently and seat beside her
“Mom, am sorry, am sorry please wake up,” she said slowly
“Mom, can you hear me cos? I have many things to tell you” She asked staring at her mother
“many things have been happening please you need to wake up, Karan is no longer talking to me again, she said it’s my fault and she pushed me away, she’s going crazy too… The other day I saw her drinking alcohol, and the other day she was shouting for help in her room but when I get there the door was locked,” she cleans the tears in her eyes
“Mom, please you need to wake up and come home, am sorry for making dad push you off the stairs, am just stupid like a dummy, I have so many things to tell you please wake up, I missed you so much mom,” she said with tears
She lay on her mother’s che-st crying her eyes out
After some minutes she stopped crying and went into the restroom to wash her face, just after she left another person entered the room and looked around, then slowly remove the life supporter from her mother and turn off the machine
Olivia came out to see someone walking out of the room and went after the person not knowing that the life-supporting machine has been removed and turned off
