?Episode Forty three?

|•Min jun•|

What does she want?!

What does she have to say?

No!
Never!

I will never listen to her, the same way she didn’t listen to my cries and pleads several years ago.

She should go to hell- for all I care!

“Welcome sir” A maid bowed in greetings immediately I marched in, but I just walked past her in anger, taking the stairs to my room.

“You’re home, my boy?” I heard Dad’s voice from his room.

He didn’t go to work?

“Yes Dad” I managed to utter before walking past his room.

That woman…

I tossed my backpack carelessly on the floor before plonking myself down on the bed.

I let out a rueful breath, staring blankly at the ceiling.

She’s making me lose my mind!

“How was school today?” Dad jolted me out of my thought as he walked into my room.

I shut my eyes briefly before sitting up.

“That woman came to my school today again” I said with a loud sigh, staring at my shoes.

“Which woman?” Dad sat beside me and asked.

I rolled my eyes.

“The same woman that left us years ago, Dad”

I turned to him.

“But I don’t un-derstand something, why does she keep coming to me, what does she have to say? I’m very sure she knows very well I can’t forgive her, if that’s what she’s trying to do” I rushed my words, clearly pissed.

Dad heaved a de-ep sigh.

“She even had to ruin my sweet moment with psycho” I added, trying to hide my smile.

“Uhmmm.. tell me something, Aaron”

“I don’t know Dad, but I really can’t hide what I feel for her anymore, since that night she told me she loves me” I breathed, bitting my nails nervously.

“Oh Lord!”

“Is this really my Aaron?” He shouted, elatedly.

I chuckled.

“Have you told her how you feel too”

I shook my head sideways, avoiding Dad’s gaze.

“Not yet Dad, but soon”

“Whoa!”

“You know since the first day you told me about this girl, I’ve always knew she would make you like this” Dad said, grinning like someone who’d just won a prize beyond price.

“Really?”

“Yes son”

“I would be glad if you can bring her home one of these days” Dad winks.

“C’mon Dad, don’t be in a rush” I told him with a smile before standing up to undress.

Would she honor my invitation when that time comes?

In_the_evening

Mum heaved a de-ep sigh.

“That was hu-ge” She shook her head sadly.

I just finished narrating everything Duffer’s mum told me earlier today.

“How could a mother leave her own family because of a situation at hand then?”

“That was very bad” Mum said, shaking her head disappointedly.

I just stared at her as she talks.

“Now I un-derstand why Min jun doesn’t like the opposite s-× too”

I nodded at mum’s last sentences.

“You’re right, mum”

“You both share something in common, you know?” Mum reminded with a rueful smile.

“Don’t remind me, mum” I rolled my eyes, adjusting the throw pillow on my thi-ghs.

“So she pleaded with you to help her seek Min jun’s forgiveness?”

I nodded, taking my li-ps into mouth.

“I really don’t know how I’m going to do it, mum” I said to her.

She hummed, smiling lovingly at me.

“I’m sure you can do it, Mi cha”

“It’s high time he forgives his mum, he can’t possibly stay mad at her forever”

I sighed softly.

“I will try my best”
I shrugged.

“Uhmm.. Audrey” Mum called me as I stood up to slide my foot into my sli-ppers.

I turned to her and raised my brows.

“You still haven’t tell me your relationship status with Min jun”

“I mean for his mum to have saw you two together” She said, a light sm-irk glimmering on her li-ps.

I twisted my li-ps, looking away from her.

“Goodnight, mum” I stooped and ki-ssed her hair before walking away.

“You’re ignoring my question!” She yelled from the sitting room.

I just chuckled.

“Audrey!”

“I’ll come to your school and ask Min jun myself” She threatened, jokingly.

“Best idea ever!”

“You can go ahead guys, I’m not hungry” I told Ryan and Hazel and they both shared a short glance.

“Is anything the problem?” Hazel asked, sitting on my desk while Ryan stood beside her.

“Nothing, just not hungry” I answered, itching my nape.

“Uhmm… then we are not going for break too”

“Don’t be silly, Hazel” I rolled my eyes at her.

“Kwan is not in school today, by the way” Ryan changed the subject.

I glanced at her seat and she’s truly not on seat.

“Maybe she’s still pained from yesterday’s incident” Hazel shrugged but I just stared on- I hope she’s okay.

“Hi Audrey” A cheerful voice snapped me back.

Oh my..
It’s Kwa young.

“How are you dear?” I asked her with a friendly smile, standing on my feet.

“I’m good and you?”

“Here” She stretched out an invitation card to me.

“I’m inviting you to my birthday this weekend, I hope you could make it” She said with a bright smile.

“That’s bad of you Kwa young, you’re not inviting us” Hazel said with a frown before I could talk.

“I’m sorry” She apologized.

She opened her backpack and brou-ght out two invitation cards.

“Have yours” She handed the IV’s to them.

“I would be happy if you guys could make it to my sixteenth birthday”

“Whoa” We chorused.

“Happy birthday in advance dear” I gave her a parted hu-g.

“Thanks Audrey” She ki-ssed my cheek before scurrying off.

I watched her back till she left the clas-s.

“We are all going to this party, isn’t it?” Hazel squealed.

I returned to my seat, scratching the back of my ne-ck.

“I’m not sure yet, I’ll inform my mum first” I told them, staring at the IV.

“Hi”
I heard his calm and sweet voice.

“Hi, Min jun”

“Do you care to join us?” Hazel asked him.

I caught him staring at me but quickly switched my gaze to somewhere else- I’m pissed at him.

“I’m sorry girls, but maybe some other time” He declined with a pleading face.

“It’s no problem, enjoy your time with your love” Hazel said the last words silently before leaving the clas-sroom with Ryan.

Foolish girl.

“What’s that?” Duffer asked, gesturing to the IV in my hand.

I ignored his question, I opened my backpack and dropped the IV in it.

“What are you doing here?” I asked him bluntly and he smiled.

“Sorry about yesterday, psychopath” He apologized as he sat on the empty seat close to mine.

“But I’m really coming with you today” He said obstinately and I smiled inwardly.

“Or you don’t want me to?” He crumpled his face.

“Uhmmm….Duffer” I called, trying to meet his gaze.

“Min jun” He corrected, twisting his li-ps.

I rolled my eyes.

I glanced around the clas-sroom and thank goodness they were only few people in the clas-s.

“Could you please forgive your mum” I said with a pleading eyes and I watched as his face switched to a solemn one.

Okay
This ain’t good.

•Episode Forty four•

?Audrey?

“Could you please forgive your mum” I said with a pleading eyes and I watched as his face switched to a solemn one.

Okay
This ain’t good.

He stared at me for a while before standing up, abruptly.

He turned his back and walked out of the clas-sroom.

“Duffer” I quickly stood up and followed behind him.

“Would you please listen to me?” I said at his back, still following him to wherever he was heading.

Few students around were already shooting us some looks.

I rolled my eyes- this is all his fault.

He got to the school garden and stopped walking, I also stopped walking and heaved a small sigh.

“Would you listen to me now?” I asked him, trying not to sound harsh.

He turned to me and I felt my sank at how reddened his eyes had become.

“What did she tell you?!” He asked gruffly, avoiding my gaze.

“Everything, Duffer” I replied calmly, moving close to him.

“She’s full of regrets, and I can tell from the way she had explained things to me that she has learnt her lesson”

“I know this is would be tough for you, but you nee-d to forgive her and let the past go”

He kept shaking his head sideways, looking everywhere but not my face.

“She’s your mom and…”

I was saying, but the look he’d shot me,cut me off.

“She’s not my mom” He corrected, grinding his teeth together.

Oh lord..

“And I’ll be very glad if you can just stay away from this issue, psycho” He continued, pointing a finger at my face

“Ignore her when next she tries to come closer to you”

“I would rather give up on life, than to forgive her” He concluded and walked out on me, before I could even think of another words to say.

“Ugh” I Gr0-ned, ruffling my hair and stomped on my feet.

This is gonna be a ha-rd task, it will takes more.

I watched his back till he was out of sight .

I breathing out heavily.

I really do un-derstand him, the pain he would have gone throu-ghat that time of his age wouldn’t be unbearable- but with the help of his Dad, he managed to came out strong.

I wish I can just dislike his mum for causing him so much pain, but I can’t, she’s also a woman like my mom.

Besides, she was full of remorse yesterday and I even cried along with her in the car.

What do I do now?

With the look of things, I’m not sure Duffer is ever going to talk to me again.

“Audrey” A voice stopped me, when I was close to the clas-sroom.

I retreated my steps and turned to glance at the person.

I rolled my eyes- it was Duffer’s mom step son- Jordan.

“I really nee-d to talk to you, Audrey” He said, walking up to me.

“Stay away from me” I said angrily before marching off.

“But it’s really important and you nee-d to hear it!” He yelled at my back.

I hissed irritatedly.

My hatred for him has grown, so he better watch it.

******

I watched as she came down from the cab and walked up to a black gate along the tarred road.

The gate went opened after she’d knocked on it and she went inside afterwards.

My li-ps curved to a small smile- now I know where she lives.

I avoided her all throu-gh, after our last conversation in the school garden.

I’m sure she was probably shocked by my outburst, and it saddened my heart she had to witness my violent explosion today.

I sank my fingers in my hair, exasperatedly.

This shouldn’t have happened so soon, now that we just begin to get close.

Now, she wouldn’t want to talk to me again.

No, I can’t let this happen.

I’ll come visit her this weekend, Saturday or probably Sunday.

“Master Aaron” The driver called from the driver seat.

“Let’s go” I told him and leaned my head on the headrest.

I’m sorry, psycho.

*
*

“You don’t do things that way, Audrey” Mom reprimanded me calmly.

I just explained Duffer’s reaction when I’d pleaded with him to forgive his mom.

“You should get more close to him before you can bring up such request”

“You and I both un-derstand what he’s going throu-gh, he’ll never forgive his mom so easily”

I sighed softly, tucking my hair behind my ear.

“So what do you think, mom?” I asked her.

“Let me ask this, Audrey”
She adjusted on her seat and I nodded.

“Let’s as-sume you met your Dad and he strongly sought for your forgiveness, will you forgive him?”

Rage crept up in my whole body, instantly.

“I can never do that, mom” I said throu-ghgritted teeth, staring at the blank TV.

I heard her sighed.

“So I’m sure you un-derstand what I am trying to say, you can’t just walked up to him and begged him to forgive his mom just like that”

“But you can’t really blame his mom, will you?”

“Jordan’s Dad made her left her own family”

“There’s absolutely nothing to justify her actions, Mi cha” Mom snapped at me.

“She was wrong for leaving her own family all because of money and that’s it!”

Her face was not smiling anymore, I had to change this atmosphere.

“It’s fine, mom”

“Let’s just forget about them for now” I said to her, standing up to seat beside her.

“But promise me you’re not going to leave Min jun” Mom pouts.

I rolled my eyes- not after he yelled at me.

“What has Duffer given you, mom?” I queried, with a grim look.

“You seem to like him so much”

Mom smiled.

“I don’t know myself, but I’ve liked him since the day I set my eyes on him”

“Not knowing he was my daughter’s….”
She let out a discreet cough, without completing her sentences.

“Your daughter’s what?” I glared at her, jokingly.

She just grinned and folded my cheek, playfully.

I smiled brightly before moving close to rest my head on her che-st.

“I have a home service job this weekend, Audrey” She announced, stro-king my hair.

“Whoa, mom”
“It’s been long you had that”

“Yes, Mi cha”
“It’s a client daughter’s birthday party”

“Oh my..”

I lifted my head from her che-st, abruptly.

“That reminds me, mom”
“I’ve told you many times about Kwa young right?” I asked her, staring into her eyes.

“Uhmmm… The one in Grade ten?”

“Exactly, mom”
“It’s her birthday this weekend and she’d invited me, the invitation card is up in my room”

“Please mom, I want to go”
I ru-bbed my palms together, giving her my puppy eyes which she can never resist.

“Hazel and Ryan are also going” I added and she smiled.

“Of course you can go, Audrey”

“I will never say No”

“I’m so glad you’re changing for good baby, you never attended a birthday party on your own except I took you along, isn’t it?” She said with raised brows.

I rolled my eyes- here she comes again.

“But make sure you take Min jun along with you” She blew me a ki-ss before getting on her feet.

“Will you ever stop mentioning his name?” I asked, trying to sound peeved.

“I won’t sweetheart, cause I know it’s the only name you want to always hear” She winked at me before scurrying off.

My mouth went opened on their own as I don’t know what to say.

“Seriously, mom?!” I shouted behind her.

She was heading to the kitchen.

“Go to bed, darling”
That was all she could say.

I shook my head.

You’re so dead, Duffer.
