?Alexis’s pov?

It felt like I was in a fuc-king action movie!

The gro-ans…the punches…the kicks…I could hear every single one of them but still, I couldn’t open my damn eyes.

I don’t even know who is beating who in this fight, I won’t be surprise if it turns out to be that the charming savior was the one losing because obviously, it was a handicap match _two against one_ It will take a miracle for him to beat those two a-ssholes just by himself.

I just crouched down with my eyes close as I prayed silently for this shit to get over.

I know I should probably help out here so that the fight could be a fair one but what exactly could I possibly do? I’m just a girl in between these three guys and there’s definitely nothing I could do, right?

Or should I just go to the middle of the road and scream for help? Who knows maybe a good Samaritan like this charming savior will hear me and come for help…maybe I should just do that.

I was going to open my eyes when I heard a very loud bang followed by a loud yelp and a cry.

Wait, what’s going on? Have they finally killed my Savior? Shit, what do I do now?

“You can open your eyes now.” That voice,,, I can never forget that girly voice. Never.

“Is it over?” I asked shakily, not opening my eyes.

He chuckles. “Yeah.” I slowly opened my eyes to see the two jerks kneeling in front of me with their faces bruised… but that wasn’t what caught my attention, the fact that they were crying like kids was what fuc-king caught my attention. “Told ya.” He held out his hand towards me, smirking.

“You handled them well,” I placed my hand on his and he helped pulled me up to my feet. “Alone.” I added.

“Yup.” He turned to look at them. “Aren’t you going to apologize to her now?”

“We are very sorry…” The two guys said in unison, breathing heavily as they kept whining in pain.

“And?” My savior pressed on, glaring ha-rd at them.

“We promise never to come anywhere close to you again.”

“What do you say?” My savior asked with his brows raised, questioningly.

“How about the phone that he damaged?” I pointed at the Matt of a guy angrily.

“I’m sorry! I promise to pay for it… I’m very sorry.” He pleaded while sobbing.

“It’s fine.” I rolled my eyes. “But the next time you show your face…”

“WE WILL NEVER COME CLOSE TO YOU AGAIN! EVER!” They quickly cut in.

“Alright.”

“So…I should let them go?” My savior asked me.

I hesitate a little before nodding my head. “Yes.”

“You heard her, she said you can leave… so leave before I change my mind.” They quickly sprinted up to their feet and ran away without turning back.

What the hell did this guy do to them to make them this afraid and vulnerable?

How did he beat the two of them just by himself?

fuc-k, he must be a fighter even Brenden can’t compete with him…trust me.

“Thanks for saving me. I really appreciate.”

“It’s alright. Anyway, are you okay?” He asked me, glancing down to my feet as if looking for any form of injury.

“I’m fine…all thanks to you.” I smiled. We both walked out of the secluded area, coming out to the busy street. “Ah, forgive my manners…are you alright?”

He laughed. “Yeah. Totally.” How can someone’s laughter sound these angelic and charming? How can someone’s laughter make the sun rise and shine this brightly? How can his laughter make me want to mo-an so badly?

Will it be a bad idea if I just go with Kathy’s idea by f*cking this hot stranger to see just how I might respond to his s-ex? Okay, that sound very bad and crazy. I can’t believe I even thought about it.

“Anyway, I’m Alexis but you can call me Lexi.” I introduced, stretching out my hand for a handshake.

“Do you mind if I just call you Alex?” He asked, shaking hands with me.

“What’s wrong with calling me Lexi?” I questioned.

“Nothing but it just sound too girly and cheesy. No offence.”

I waved him off. “No offence taken.” Suddenly, he shrugged off his black hoodie and handed it over to me. “What’s it for?” I asked, confused.

“Your shirt…” He nodded his head at my shirt. I stared down at it to see my bre-ast displaying out to the public.

fuc-k! Shit! Dammit! This is completely crazy! I didn’t even realize those idiots torn my blouse off if not I wouldn’t have forgiven them just like that!

I feel so embarra-ssed right now,,, he has seen my fuc-king bre-ast . Damn!

I grabbed the hoodie from him and wore it over my torn blouse, covering up my shame and embarra-ssment.

“Hey, you don’t have to feel embarra-ssed or anything. Besides, no dude saw it.” No dudes? Aren’t you a dude? I was going to ask him but decided not to. I mean, it’s pointless to ask him that because obviously, that question will only make things complicated and more embarra-ssing.

“Thanks.” I mumbled under my breath, lowering my gaze to the ground.

He laughs. “So, what do you say about me calling you Alex?”

I shrugged. “Not bad.” I cleared my throat, looking up to his face but was surprised at what I saw,,, this dude has a long hair just like every girl and wait, was that bre-ast I’m seeing popping out his clothes?

“Anyway, I’m Gwen. Gwendolyn.” I staggered back in shock. Gwendolyn… that’s definitely a girl’s name but why was he answering that?

“Gwen? Isn’t…that a girl’s name?” I asked quietly, giving him a confused look.

“Well… that’s because I’m a girl.”

HOLY fuc-kING SHIT! My eyes were literally bulging out in complete surprise…how the hell is that possible? How can this dude be a girl? How…

Wait, did I say I was attra-cted to him…or should I say her? Did I say I felt w-et and horny just merely looking at his or her face? Well, scrap that fuc-king words!

How the fuc-k can I be attra-cted to a girl? Does that even make any sense? There’s no way I’m g-ay. Never.

Besides, I love Rowan and he’s all that matters to me.

How did I not even know that he was a girl…does that even make any sense?

Come to think about it, how was she able to fight those two guys all by herself? How can a lady be this strong and…fearless?

“Hey, you can close your mouth now.” She said jokingly.

I quietly closed my mouth, swallowing ha-rd as I kept staring at her with my eyes wide open.

“Will you keep looking at me that way?” She tilted her head to the side.

“I…” I don’t even know what to say! I cleared my throat, getting a part of me into control. “I’m sorry.”

What the hell was I even apologizing for?

“What are you apologizing for?” I don’t know! I was going to answer but she spoke up because I could. “Listen, I get that all the time. Most people seem to mistake me to be a boy…you are not the first and you surely won’t be the last.”

I kept nodding my head like a damn lizard. I was still short of words. “How…how did you possess such energy and strength? How were you able to handle those two guys?”

“Every girl don’t have to be weak. And besides, I learnt karate while growing up as a kid.”

“Oh. That…That was amazing.” I stuttered, clenching my fist. “So…um…I should get going now.”

“Sure.” She stuffed her hands into her pan-ts pocket, smirking at me.

Why was I still drooling even after discovering that she was a girl and not a boy?

Why was my heart still beating?

Why can’t I take my damn eyes off her?

Why was her badas-slook, her smirk, her face, her voice,,, everything make me feel this goddamn way?

Why does it feel like no matter how ha-rd I try, I definitely won’t be able to forget about her?

Was I going crazy?

She turned to leave but I stopped her by getting hold of her wrist…what the hell was I doing?

She turned to look at me. “Are you okay, Alex?”

Alex? No one has ever called me that aside from her, now this is one reason why it will be very difficult to forget about her.

“I’m fine.” I laughed nervously, still holding her wrist. “Um…” What do I want to say to her? Why did I stop her from walking away? She was waiting patiently for me to say whatever shit I want to say. “Um…see you around, Gwen.” I let go of her wrist.

She smiled. “Sure.” She winked then walked away, going inside the mall where I had once gone before.

This was crazy…why was I feeling this way? Was it even normal? Maybe lack of not seeing Rowan was having a great effect on me.

I should definitely give him a call…who knows maybe speaking to him will help reboot my senses.

?Gwen’s pov?

“Gwen, where have you been?” Cleo asked just as I walked inside the mall. “I almost had to call your father because I thought you’ve gone missing.”

“Missing?” Why will she even think that? Like come on, why exactly will I get missing? I’m not dumb not to know my way around. This might be my second day here in New York but trust me, I’m very smart in finding my way around. “Cleo, stop panicking over nothing. I can’t get missing.”

“But today is just your second day here in New York. And New York is definitely not like Boston.” She stated, stepping out of the mall while I trailed her from behind.

She was right.

New York was very different from Boston…You hardly know people around here but in Boston, you will know everyone as long as you are not new around the neighborhood.

In New York, you are not everyone’s business but at Boston,,, you are everyone’s business!

I grabbed some shopping bag from her. “I’m sorry for scaring you then.”

“You better be.” She mumbled under her breath as we approached the car, Lucky, dad’s personal driver was already waiting for us. “Oh, that reminds me, did you get the cupcakes?”

“Nah.” I replied.

“So where exactly have you been?” She asked me, raising a questioning brow at me.

Well, I’ve been out fighting with some group of a-ssholes who tried to take advantage of a girl? I clic-ked my tongue, shaking my head against telling her that.

“I was just out.” I responded. She gave me suspicious look before shrugging and clambered into the car while I did the same.

“You still want cupcakes?” She asked me after a moment of silence.

Lucky has started the car already, driving away from the mall.

“Of course. But hey, we are still getting the ingredients to make cupcakes…” I leaned towards her and whispered in her ear, softly. “I really want to eat the cupcake baked by you.”

She blus-hed, chuckling. “I will be honored to baked one for you then.” She winked.

fuc-k!

******

We arrived at the sto-re to get the ingredients for the cupcakes.

Cleo and I alighted from the car and walked inside the mall.

I don’t know my way around this sto-re so I just followed Cleo wherever she went to buy the stuff.

We’ve bought a lot of things when suddenly my phone started ringing, interrupting my quiet moment with Cleo.

I stared down at the caller ID to see my three best friends picture displaying on my screen.

I excused myself from Cleo and walked out of the sto-re, going outside to provide myself some privacy.

“Hey guys.” I said cheerfully as I picked the call.

“Gwen?” Eddie whined.

“Tomboy.” Nathan added.

“Princess.” Ken exclaimed. I cringed at his choice of name.

“Don’t call me that.” I said warningly.

“But your father always call you that and you never complained.”

I rolled my eyes. “You are not my father, idiot.”

“Anyway, how is New York? How are you coping there?” Nathan questioned.

I shrugged. “Not bad.”

“Hope you haven’t fought anyone over there yet?” Eddie questioned.

“And what is that suppose to mean?” I questioned, furrowing my brows a little. Though they can’t see my face now.

“You are a fighter, remember?” Ken stated as they all burst into laughter at once.

I surprised them by laughing as well. They all stopped laughing, clearing their throat but I didn’t,,, I still kept laughing.

“Why are you laughing?” Eddie questioned.

“I don’t know…I mean, aren’t we laughing at your foolishness.”

“Ouch!” Nathan teased.

“That burns.” Ken added.

“You guys are stupid.” Eddie mumbled under his breath.

“Are you talking to Gwen?” Ken asked.

“He said, you guys…I am not a guy, remember?” I was still chatting with the boys when someone suddenly bumped into me, causing my as-sto ki-ss the floor.

“Ow!” I gro-aned in pain and shock. “fuc-k!”

“Gwen, are you okay?” I heard my best friends voices from the other line, sounding very worried.

I looked up to see a guy staring down at me with a de-ep frown on his face.

Wait, why wasn’t he apologizing? Wasn’t that the right him for him for fuc-king do right now?

He wasn’t even helping me up. Like seriously, who the hell does this dude think he is?

I come up to mu feet, dusting off the dirt at the back of my trouser. “I will call you guys later.” I hung up the call.

I was going to talk but the guy beat me to it and spoke first. “Are you blind? Can’t you see that here is a very busy place and standing at the way of other people is very wrong?”

Was that his way of apologizing for almost killing me?

“Excuse me?” I scoffed. “Shouldn’t you be apologizing to me right now?”

“And why should I do that? You were obviously the one who stood in my way!” He spat, glaring ha-rd at me.

“There was enough space for you to pas-swithout knocking me off my feet, a-sshole!” I said angrily, almost at the verge of losing my anger.

“What did you just call me?” He asked, stepping closer towards me… wait, does he think I’m afraid of him?

I stepped closer towards him as well as if challenging him. “a-sshole. Jerk. Idiot. Animal… that’s what I called you,” I tilted my head to the side. “Do you worst, I dare you.”

He clenched his fist and clenched, glaring very ha-rd at me. If looks could kill I would have been 6feet beneath the ground but he would have also accompanied me to hell because I was also glaring very ha-rd at him.

“I’m not ready for this shit, man.” He was going to walk past me but I was quick to get hold of his wrist, preventing him for making any more step away from him.

“You can’t leave without apologizing.” I said to him, clenching his wrist tightly.

He stared down at my hand that encircled his wrist then slowly looked back at me. “Are you a guy?”

“That doesn’t sound like an apology to me.” I said rudely.

He tried breaking free from my grasp but I wouldn’t budge,,, yeah, I’m this strong.

“Let go of my hand.” He said throu-ghgritted teeth.

“If I were you I will quietly apologize before this shit gets too nasty?” I warned.

“And what are you going to do? Hit me? Clearly, you are a girl judging by those bo-obs pointed towards me…so tell me, what can a girl obviously do?” He raised a questioning brow at me.

“Are you talking about the same girl holding you captive right now?” I mirrored his expression by raising my brow at him as well.

“I’m only trying to maintain my cool and that’s because I don’t hit girls…” He used his other hand to brush a strand of hair from my face and tucked it behind my ear. “If I were you I will let go now that I’m being gentle.”

“Are you threatening to hit me now?” I questioned.

He smirk-ed. “Well, good for you… I don’t hit girls, barbie.”

Barbie? Did this jerk just called me barbie? Like seriously?

“Well, too bad for you…I hit jerks like you…” With that said, I balled my fist and punched him right at his nose, earning a loud yelp from him…
